morning welcome to them this is homemade

chunk later we'll show you how to make

it but first we're going to try this

hula hoop around the circle while

holding hands that's hard yeah and the

trick is you can't stop holding hand we

going to send it

think the idea is that you want to step

through it or pass it like I was I was

thinking okay so say step through it

then and then good

will happen when I Let Go of this paper

clip I think gravity will pull these

Keys down and everything will just fall

straight down

okay that's awesome yeah I know Amanda s

of Portage Michigan sent us the

directions for this phenon to set it up

all you have to do is tie a paper clip

to this string

tie the keys to the other end of the

string then put the string over your

finger just like

this hold the paper clip with your hand

like

this then let go of the paper clip and

see what happens that's cool is that

cool because the keys are heavier than

the paper clip the paper clip gets B

pretty fast by the falling keys but no

matter how fast the paper clip is moving

gravity has to pull it down so paper

clip keeps spinning until it wraps

around my finger like this that's

awesome cool I wonder what happens if we

like tied something else like what if we

tie a rubber chicken to the end of the

string instead of keys let's try it what

do you think we'll have I know I think I

don't know because this is kind of

heavier it might work the same but it

this might pull it faster and might spin

around my finger faster I think that

maybe the rubber chicken maybe because

it's heavier and the string is longer

maybe it won't wrap around your finger

and the rubber chicken will just dip the

ground okay cool see let's try it I'll

hold it up like this okay

goad who oh it work worked it's went

around really fast wow I think it

doesn't matter how long the string is it

matters how much weight there is on the

end yeah if there's more weight on the

end I think it'll go a lot faster the

string around your finger want to try it

again all right cool okay

okay okay here we go wow

cool so we figured out that this trick

works even when you use objects that

have very different weights but now we

want to see what happens when you use

different kinds of string like yarn a

fishing line so help us out experiment

with different kinds of string and test

it out then write down your results and

TBM hi I'm Delissa I'm 11 years old I'm

an artist and I live in Brooklyn New

York I like to be an artist because it's

really fun I like to paint geometric

shapes mess me and my friends are

painting a cow before we started

painting in it we went outside and we

took all these pictures of houses trees

cars everything so then we actually

thought in our mind about what what

should we draw here so we took our

imagination of what would be outside in

the neighborhood and we drew

that the pictures come together to tell

a story about our neighborhood we don't

call it painting a cow we're tattooing a

cow sometimes I want to use the primary

colors which are yellow red and blue the

secondary colors would be like you're

mixing red and yellow to become orange

yellow and blue

like green then blue and red that

becomes Violet my dream is to become an

artist a professional artist Picasso was

an artist and he inspired my artwork um

self-portrait cubism

painting cubism is a kind of artwork

that has geometric shapes for myself

forunate I drew a picture of me on a

piece of

paper I took it I took the piece of

paper and I cut it into different pieces

and then when I put all the pieces

together it was a picture of me but in

different

patterns and if I put those shapes

together in a different way I'd get a

different pattern that would look

nothing like me AR is about expressing

yourself and you should always remember

that art comes from your heart like you

look at a flower right it say you throw

it with a nice flower so when you go

home you probably want to draw a

flower sometimes for me it's difficult

because you want to get it so perfect

and then start getting all frustrated

and everything and you com it up the

paper throw it out and you try it again

so I just keep on trying it again trying

again and trying it again and until I

get

it when people see your artwork on

display you feel great and look here's

City hey Eric yeah Kenny why can't a cow

hula hoop I I don't know because it's

utterly

impossible

impossible here's a song we're going to

sing in a round it's called The

Alligator song singing in a round means

that everyone sings the same song but we

all start at different times we're going

to start by singing together

once have you ever been to the SP to the

very bottom of the water system there

you'll find a little alligator who goes

by the name of Al if you do he's

mine I lost him he went right down the

water stop and now I'm feeling lonely

zoomo this is homemade chop the idea to

make it was sent in by me m of Rock Hill

South Carolina you can use it to play

hopscotch on your sidewalk or Draw on

the Blackboard it's made from plaster of

Paris and liquid tamper paint you can

find those at most craft supply stores

you'll also need cardboard toilet paper

tubes wax paper a disposable plastic

container and a disposable plastic spoon

to make mix your plasure of

Paris here's what you do to make one

piece of

chop line the inside of your toilet

paper tube with wax paper like how you

line it is you roll your piece of wax

paper up and then put it inside the tube

and then spread it out with your two

index

fingers like that that's perfect then

make sure that your container and your

spoon are disposable because you want to

throw them away after you're done and

never ever pour um plastic Paris down

your drain because it will harden and

clog your

pipes now combine 1 and 1/4 cups of

plasure of Paris and half a cup of

water so it's easier if you put the

water in

first well we'll pour the entire water

in

there and then we'll pour in just a

little at a time and then we'll mix

it that way it won't be really

clumpy oh oh it's bubbling that's so

[Music]

cool mix it until it looks like cake

better and if it's too thick add a small

amount of water and if it's too

runny add a small amount of pasture of

Paras one spoonful at a

time yeah now that is so

cool then quickly stir in two spoonfuls

of liquid temper paste I'm going to use

[Music]

yellow and if you want to make more than

one color pour a plasure of pears into

smaller containers and and add a

different color to each

[Music]

one oh I think it needs just a little

more and then

mix that oh that looks so cool the

yellow is really

bright oh so pretty I like this kind of

yellow all right when you mixed it

pretty well then pour the mixture into

the lime tube

okay that you might get a little messy

but that's all right cuz I love to get

[Music]

messy and if it drips down on the side

that's the

[Music]

right that's

right oh cool tap gently to get rid of

any air

bubbles just tap on all sides

[Music]

let it dry overnight and then remove the

tube from

the chalk all right so I'll let this dry

and then I'll remove this

to and it just peel the cardboard like

this I made this piece of chocolate

earlier so cool

oh

cool it will still be damp so let it dry

for a few more

days then test out your job if you want

hi my name is Dana saviano I'm here at

the Connecticut Invention Convention

with my invention of sleepy head alarm

bed my invention solves the problem of

my sister not waking up out of bed

sometimes she would have two three or

four alarm clocks and that still

wouldn't wake her

up so I invented this invention to raise

P the bed and make some sleepy head fall

out really it's made from two things I

already had my dad he works on

treadmills and he he just so happened to

have a few extra ones hanging around and

we used this one cuz it wasn't the best

working order for the elevation system

and uh it worked great and the bed we

already had we just had a few

modifications to the coffee maker and

the treadmill and that's it the job of

the coffee maker is to control what time

the elevation mechanism is supposed to

go up and down all you do is put this to

Auto and put it whenever time you want

to wake

up and then turn this to Auto flip this

switch up up here and you're ready to go

my sister uses it every single

day she was late to school almost every

day when she had the the alarm clocks

but when I invented my C hit alarm bag

she woke up and she was on time for

school every

buildings it's like three different

questions but with all the same answer

oh I think I Know It Go a math how' you

cuz like when you look on a map you

don't see houses and stuff and trees

like they name they have the names of

the forest and like names of the streets

and stuff like that there's no like

you're right that's awesome you just got

an email dear Zoom I'm 13 and I'm in a

wheelchair I get teased a lot in school

because I can't do lots of things other

kids can do right now I'm working with

other kids in wheelchairs at a camp it

helps helps us cope with our

disabilities it is really hard having a

disability because sometimes my friends

go out places without me to the mall and

I can't go have any of you had

experiences with people in wheelchairs I

love your show bye Whitney um there a

kid at my who used to go to my school he

graduated and he was in a wheelchair and

he's really cool he was a lot of fun and

because just because he's in a

wheelchair it doesn't mean like he's

different or anything it's just he's a

really cool guy yeah I've had like

experiences being left out and it's I

know how I know how she feels it's

really bad and it's harder probably when

you're left out cuz you have a

disability because you think they don't

want you in your group or something and

you feel really bad I haven't really had

many experiences being left out because

if I do get left out I'm just like so

anyway and like I just like invite

myself in but

um I could see that it would be really

hard being left out because you feel

like that no one would want you or like

you'd feel all alone and yeah when you

feel left out it's just like you feel

like nobody wants to talk to you or

anything like that cuz when I feel left

out that's how I feel sometimes and it's

kind of it's really hard cuz and then

like when you walk away cuz when I walk

away my friends call me back and they're

like what's wrong and I and I say I

thought you guys didn't want to talk to

me or anything and they're like no no no

we're just just talking about something

it's just it's I know what she feels cuz

it's hard it's very very hard dis

ability and to Bea

special for kids who were sick in the

hospital so he decided to dress up like

an Easter Bunny and deliver candy to all

the kids in the hospital great job

project like a car wash to benefit a

charity or a clothing drive for a

homeless shelter be sure to tell us all

the person then have to pretend that

they're eating pizza try to keep this

going around the circle and see how fast

you can go okay guys ready to play all
