andom here's a game called ULU M sent in

by Amber a of Hua mokai Hawaii ULU m is

a very old Hawaiian game that's sort of

like bowling it was played with slices

of green bread fruit called ULU in

wooden steaks Claudia and Ray are going

to play with tennis ba*ls and 2 L soda

bottles filled with water this is a good

game to play outside because you need a

lot of room to set up the game put two L

bottles in the middle of the playing

field about 6 in apart then draw two

lines about 15 ft from each soda bottle

have one player stand on one line and

the other player stand on the other line

the object of the game is to get the

ball to roll in between the two soda

bottles the player who gets the ball to

roll in between the two soda bottles

five times

zoomo dear Zoom hi my name is aara D

most people don't say my name right

because it's kind of hard well here are

some instructions for making a pushpull

card good luck aaria D Cottage Grove

Oregon this is a really cool Push Pull

card okay to make your push pull card

you'll need thin

cardboard construction paper some tape

and a brass Fastener first thing you

need to do is fold your piece

instruction paper in

half

once and fold it in half again twice or

twice this part will become your

card

okay then take your thin

cardboard and cut out these two shapes A

t-shape and A straight

piece you want to punch a hole in the

center of t-shape right

there and then take a straight piece and

punch two holes with a little space in

between them and then take your scissors

and connect the two holes by cutting the

space that was in them so it looks like

a little

slot then you take your two

pieces and Slide the t-shaped piece into

the

slot of the straight piece that'll

become your handle I'll show you one

more time so it's easier for you to see

just go like

this that's my

handle okay then you'd want to punch a

hole in the front center of the card

it's hard to do it with the hole punch

because the hole punch doesn't reach all

the way up so I took a brass

Fastener and just kind of poked the

hole like

that just turn it around a little so yes

there's my hole

okay then you want to make a slot right

above the hole so I'm going to fold it

in half so it's easier to cut the slot

and I'm not kind of poking into the

paper and have a chance of cutting my

finger just cut a little

slot right above the

hole

there so it'll end up looking like this

okay then I'll take my handle that I

just made out of a thin

cardboard and slide it

under the

card and line up the two

holes and

then put the brass Fastener through the

hole in the card and the hole in the

t-shape and then fasten it

there got

it you want to make sure that the end of

the t-shape is sticking through the slot

you just cut so it looks like that

that's where your shape's going to be

that's going to move back and

forth okay then you take your thin

cardboard and cut out any shape that you

want I cut out a boat because I thought

it would look cool with the blue card

construction paper cuz it's kind of like

the ocean

okay then you take your

tape and you just tape your shape to the

end of the t-shape that's sticking out

through the

slot and just stick it right on

there and my push pull

North Carolina a detective was walking

down the street when an artist came

running out of the art gallery it's gone

it's gone my painting is gone he shouted

the detective looked up and said you are

un luck I happen to be a detective and I

will help you when was the last time you

saw your painting let's see murmured the

artist the last time I saw my painting

early this morning I came out of my

apartment with my painting and strapped

it onto my motorcycle I remember

stopping to get a newspaper because it

was so muddy I could barely park there

where did you go next asked the

detective I went to the deli to get my

usual bagel I saw some firemen testing a

fire hydrant

nearby and then the detective inquired

on the corner there's a pizzeria Mario

was throwing his pizzas up in the air I

stopped to watch him throw one but it

went through the window and never came

down so I had to drive on did you go

anywhere or see anyone else questioned

the detective no by then I was late so I

went as fast as I could I did drive by

an elderly gentleman who unfortunately

dropped this coffee as I sped by when I

got to the gallery I carried my painting

inside and went to hang up my coat when

I returned my painting was gone and this

ugly painting was here instead the

detective took out his magnifying glass

and studied the ugly painting aha he

exclaimed I have one last question was

your painting a landscape yes replied

the artist I painted snowcapped

mountains and Tall Pine trees beside a

deep blue Lake then I have solved the

mystery

your painting was never

missing in fact if you remove this

coffee cup this pizza these water drops

this mud and these newspaper pieces you

will see your

painting Case

bikes each year I compete in National

races all over the

country what I love about motorcycles is

competition and

speed so far I've won over 40

championships

allows me to go so fast is my bike's

engine all internal combustion engines

use the power of burning fuel to make

things

move a mixture of gasoline and air

enters the engine cylinder which is

right

here this is what the inside of a

cylinder looks

like this is a piston it moves up and

down inside the

[Music]

cylinder this is a spark plug and makes

tiny electric

Sparks the spark plug ignites the fuel

and makes a little expl*si*n inside the

cylinder these many explosions happen

thousands of times a

minute the force of the expl*si*n pushes

the Piston down the Piston then turns

the crankshaft which turns the chain

which turns the back

wheel the engine kind of acts like your

body when you ride a bicycle your legs

are like the Pistons they push down on

the pedals which turn the chain which

turns the

wheel come with me on a training

run you can't be thinking of anything

else when you're on a track because if

you lose focus you're going to crash or

you get passed by another

racer when I'm on a RAC trck I'm mostly

concentrating on doing my turns

right not messing up on the

jumps and body position you get to be

over the front of the bike when you go

off

jums and hopefully I don't over jump

years from now is to win seven

consecutive World titles to beat the

world record

this Phenom did you know that liquids

bend light and make things look

different to test this out put plastic

wrap over a piece of paper that is

writing on

it then put a washer

down and put a couple of drops of water

onto the plastic

wrap look at the letters through the

water don't they look so much bigger

it's pretty cool the reason that this

happens is because as the light goes

through the water drop it's fent so the

words look larger

this works differently with different

liquids because they bend light at

different amounts so here's what happens

when you use maple

syrup that looks so cool I'm so used to

seeing

water

wow that looks really

big I think it works a little better

than the water

what do you think happens if you use

other liquids try making a liquid

magnifier out of cooking oil or corn

syrup what makes the best magnifier send
