hi rumors want to have a party we've got some great new ideas and even to do

activities that will make any party a success aha we'll show you how to make

cool invitations and delicious treats look for tie-dye okay lots of crazy

games and Ingrid's that you've never seen on do we cook we've got recipes

brainteasers even magic tricks but most of all we'll show you how to have fun

with a bunch of friends or just a party of two so come on and join us

because any day can be a party day it's time to party with zoo [Music]

hi I'm Pablo and I'm Alisa and welcome to a very special zoom along with the

rest of the Zoomers we're going to show you how to throw a party it doesn't matter if it's a birthday party a pool

party or just to get together with friends we've got great ideas for any party and everything you're about to see is boomer

tested and approved so if you're thinking of planning a party what's the first thing you have to do send out

invitations of course you can't have a party without a party gift so problems

going to show us how to make cards for any occasion cards that really get your attention today we're going to make a

pop-up card here's how you make it you take one piece of paper and you fold it

then on the folded edge you're going to draw a dot but find the center first

here it is alright then from the dot

draw two inch lines going to the outer edge

then on the folded edge cut to the line

now you have two flaps fold them so that you have two triangles like this so that

kind of looks like a collar then press

on the edges so that you have sharp creases here we go then fold the flaps

back and open up your card then push in

the top triangle and pinch on the whole design almost got it there we go so when

you push them two triangles back you have sort of like a V when you open it

up you'll have a mouth then design it by

putting eyes ears can draw let's do C

put some lip some eyes pupils and some

long eyelashes

hello then take another piece of paper

and fold it like you did the first time [Music]

then place it evenly the other one and

you can put teeth tongue whatever see so

I'll put a tongue [Music]

and then just school the back making sure you don't glue your drawing that

you did and then just put this paper on

top of it and write something like welcome home and then there you have it

your own little card make you a pop-up card and send it to them thanks Pablo

once you send out your cards you need to think about what you're going to feed your guests if you're not a cook don't

worry because Keiko has an easy recipe for cookies that requires no baking all you need is a microwave Camilo

a Phoenix Arizona sent us this recipe to make no baked cookies first you need to make sure you have a

microwave safe Bowl then put one stick of butter or half a cup of butter into

the bowl now add 1/2 a cup of milk

one cup of sugar oops and I spelt right then you put in one

cup of sugar 6 tablespoons of cocoa you

can just use your finger to level off the top 1 2 3

four five six now add a half a teaspoon

of salt not over your bowl because if

you pour it over your bowl and you pour too much so it's too much in your bowl of ingredients so now you just mix this

up a little bit and then you put it in the microwave for five and a half minutes and start every two minutes but

I already have some made oh you want to put on some ah bring this because the

bowl can get really hot now you can stir

it up a little bit more then add three

cups of oats I am making a big mess one

[Music] two three then add one tablespoon of

vanilla or it in and stir this up kind

of smells like hot chocolate but doesn't look like it now cut off a piece of wax

paper about as big as a plate

that using a spoon take them out and

drop it onto the wax paper now put them

in the refrigerator and let them cool overnight I have some that are already

made don't they look good

games is charades do you know how to play before the party write down the names of popular books

movies and TV shows each on a separate piece of paper and put them all in a hat now watch and you'll get the idea

new game called my mine that's kind of like charades but with an even bigger challenge

my window honey so this one else turn much up okay dip

yeah nope okay like this oh that was good though okay go oh you wanna go so

haven't figured out how we're playing this game here is how it works its I'm the leader I pick a word out of the Hat

like ship I then tell the group a word that rhymes with shoe like two players

then act out what they think the word is they might mind do or blue players do this until they

mind the right word the words that I'm thinking of runs with bet oh oh oh good

good good okay all right um step mmm

Matt you know how about it but it does run yeah it does run bad yeah is it fat

no it's not I think not but it does not yes does running yes cat no it's not chatter I'm

ah because ever I'm though Zoe she was

fresh Oh die die die work fly yep got

one got one - all right was it layered with next barriers like no yeah that was

fun another great thing you can have at a party is entertainment for example ask

a friend who's a musician to play at your party or maybe you know someone who performs as a clown or how about magic

here's a magician you've seen before on Zoom hi my name is David Cowell and some

eight years old and I'm a magician come on in well the way I got started magic

is I saw a couple of magic shows and that got me interested yeah my my dad

are giving me like professional tricks and then I started doing shows I really

like doing birthday parties because like every likes it it's like they're

shopping they like to help out and them it's really fun and now ladies and

gentlemen I would like to introduce our magician David Cowell you see a trick

it's like it amazed view because it's like a mystery for you tonight on the

disappearing you don't know how it started just fun to watch while I'm

performing like first I'm just nervous I'm afraid I'm going to do something

wrong so on the counter now when you throw all that color into this coloring book okay but then after I just feel

good great everybody's like you know everybody likes it it's a good job just

really fun I here's a trick that you can

do at home with a pen and a penny now what I'm going to try to do here is make

the penny disappear with my magic pen i watch carefully one two three and the

penny is still there put the pen disappear that's that and I'll not that

an illusion but this [Music] I know you're wondering how I did this

chick and I'm going to tell you just roll back the tape while you were

watching the coin I sneaked the pen behind my ear and while you were

watching a pen I sneak the penny into my pocket and that's how I've in the penny

and you can do this trick at home with the pen and a penny I hope you enjoyed

learning a little bit more about magic and I hope to see you at one of my shows

yourself here's Alisa with another trick you can try on your friends anytime ok I'm going

to magically get this coin to go through the table and I'll do that by taking a

salt shaker putting a piece of paper on top and putting another then I'm going

to tighten and I'm going to put it on top of the coin okay

Jared says the easiest way to do a comedy act is grab a puppet and make up your own jokes take a look at this and

easiest trees to make is popcorn here's a great way to eat popcorn and play a game at the same time be a zoom place a

piece of popcorn on each shoulder and holding your hands at your sides eat the popcorn without letting it fall to the

floor also you can't move your shoulders kierra an Amherst Massachusetts

a fat game makes quite a mess you might

want to play it outside but what do you do if you plan for an outdoor party and

it rains well here is a baseball game you can play indoors just grab some pennies choose up teams and play ball

here's Jared to explain the rules for penny baseball to play you slide a penny

across the table and try and get it as close to the edge as possible now if it

goes over you get one out alright if it's three fingers away from the edge

you get a single and go to first base if it's two fingers away from the edge you

get a double and go to second and if it's one finger away from the edge you go to third base but if it's less than

one finger away from the edge you get a homerun and if it's more than three

fingers away from the edge it's a strike three strikes and you're out I probably

want to play sure okay I'll go first alright the top of the first inning

[Applause] one out one out that's it two out oh

[Applause] that that's that's a double double for

it alright man on second two out

[Applause] what's that I think that's a home one

hold on guys my my fingers overlapping it okay and it's a home run

thing about penny baseball is that you can play as many innings as you want and have as many players as you want we've

got another game you can play indoors called the blonde Cup game but before you can play you have to make it so

here's Kate gonna show you have first you take your cup and you poke a hole in

it you will just want the hole to be big enough so that just doing all right

throw like there now you tried a piece

of string about a foot and a half long maybe a little bit shorter and you put

it through the hole in the bottom of the cup you pull it up and eat I knot so

that it won't go through the hole like

that now you have to make the ball

take a piece of tinfoil doesn't really matter how big it is because gonna get

crinkled and take the end of the string

take the end of the string and you handle it up into a ball around the end

I need to go to ball making school

oh that's a good bar the object of the

game is to get the ball into the cup [Applause] [Music]

here's a real refreshing treat for summer it's cranberry server and Jared's at cafes in with the recipe ingredients

you'll need are evaporated milk and thawed frozen cranberry juice

concentrate okay first you pour in 3/4 of a cup of evaporated milk and mix it

together with a 12-ounce can of thawed

frozen cranberry juice concentrate looks

like tie-dye okay once it's all mixed

together you take plastic wrap and lay

it over the top to keep it fresh now put

it in the freezer now it should be in

the freezer for about two hours so it's get to look like this at all now chop it

up a little so that it'll be easier to blend all right

now pour your cranberry glop into the

blender and blend until it's like juicy

and make sure the motors off when you do that now pour in two small cups for

serving later and once again put plastic

wrap on top then freeze them until

they're firm like this
