sherbet and take two scoops of

ooh and put it into the blender with

your other

ingredients

then you slice up a banana

B for the banana part of your banana

orange Frost and the reason you're

slicing it up is because if it's a whole

banana it won't blend as well with

everything

else you could probably use all

different kinds of fruit if you wanted

to okay take your

bananas and put them

in make sure you have clean hands if

you're using your fingers or else it

really okay once you have that

done you put the cap on the blender

securely like that make sure it's on

tight or else it's going to go all over

the place and blend for 10 seconds or

until it's

smooth and wait till the blade is fully

stopped

and then

take your smoothie and pour it into a

pitcher and it's ready to serve next up

hi I'm Rita bovie and I live in the

center Minnesota and I like

frogs and this is

nond frogs they're bioindicators so that

means that they tell us something's

wrong with where we are I see

it I got mud the water just seeps right

through their skin when something's

wrong with the frogs then we kind of

know that something must be wrong in the

water or wherever they live

too we found frogs and of course you

know what normal people do we just

decided to catch them just to see what

they looked like and stuff a lot of them

had straight legs in their back legs and

we thought that we like broke their leg

but when we found one that had a missing

hind leg we kind of realized that

something was wrong cuz it didn't look

like it was eaten so we told some

scientists about the deform frogs and

they asked us to keep some data on them

and so we started recording how many

that we found found and it was half of

them were deformed that we found that

year sh is the coloration recorded Derk

yep yeah frogs deformities could be

caused

by chemicals in the water it could also

um get into their eggs or the Tad poles

so I'm trying to figure out what's wrong

with the frogs I'm putting on the

waiters that we need to use to go into

the water we use these so then we can go

look for the frogs get water samples and

and look for fish or other animals that

are living in the

water oh hey one right in front of me

basically when you're looking for frogs

here you in the water at least you wait

you know you look for this type of stuff

and they're kind of you see two little

eyes popping up over the water and if

you scare them off they swim away Nets

are easier sometimes I'm just going to

go like

that and I have no idea if I caught him

or not it's kind of hard but it's kind

a leopard frog and you can tell by their

they have spots like a leopard they look

just like a leopard they have the little

spots and then you know their white

bellies are all white he's not deformed

actually he doesn't have any deformities

gotcha this is a very good frog it's 2

years old it's much bigger the first

year frogs are really small they're a

lot harder to catch we haven't been

finding them lately but the deformities

are getting less and less compared to

the first

year I've liked frogs all of my life and

I finally get to research them bye thank

now we're going to make Ali AR's frozen

fruit

smoothie you take two cups of your

favorite fruit and pour it into the

blender I'm going to use

strawberries and then you

take two cups of your favorite fruit

juice and pour it in with it I'm going

to use orange

juice then you put the C on like so and

blend until it's icy

smooth looks good

huh then as in all smoothies you pour it

into a pitchure so it's ready to

serve next up the peanut butter

graany bird I started reading the book

for clues of where I could find her what

she liked and what she looked like this

is what she looks like she has bright

red feathers on her body a black tail

and a circle of white feathers on her

head she's about 2 ft long and weighs 21

lb she likes to wear green turtleneck

sweaters and little pink slippers she

also has little round reading

glasses Granny likes to sit in her

Mocking Bird chair and nint multicolored

avkin she uses them to keep warm in the

winter and gives them away to friends

Granny likes to eat her favorite

restaurant is the bird Buffet her

favorite food there is beet ravioli with

lots of sauce she drinks soft drink

called DED Delight now that I had the

facts I knew where to find her I took my

bike to the forest near the bird buff I

put my bike in some bushes and quietly

sneaked over to the window I jumped up

and yelled I got you now granny bird

only an old vulture was there he said to

me you missed her by an hour she just

took a flight South all that she left

behind was one small Afghan she said to

give it to whoever comes looking for her

now I sit in my rocking chair here with

the Afghan granny bird maid wrapped

around me while granny is sitting at

Miami Beach enjoying diet Delights the

one what you need are a piece of paper

scissors paper clips or tape Alisa is

going to show us how to make one first

thing you do is take a piece of paper

and fold it in

half which way you don't want it the

long way you want it like okay the fat

way and then crease

it okay okay now now open it up and cut

the paper along the line or you can rip

it next holding it the Long Way cut a

quarter sized amount of the paper

off like a quarter of the paper so

there's three from left okay then

holding it that way again the way okay

cut in the middle of the paper halfway

down only halfway mhm and then fold one

flap one

way and the other the other way so you

have your

blades so they look like that

to make your body so you're going to cut

a strip right

here like in the middle of the paper on

the other side but don't go all the way

up so you have leftover like that so

okay got it yep and then cut out the two

squares on each side squares yeah you

see these leftover squares right here oh

you want to cut those

off so we did is we cut the strip out

and then cut out the squares and now we

have a strip and another strip so it

kind of makes a tea okay mine's a little

um thin is that like okay oh I don't

think it matters but I guess we'll see

when we fly them now we want to put a

weight on the bottom and you can use

your tape or the paper clips for this

I'll use both and you can just put it

onto the bottom of the

stem and this is so the top is lighter

than the bottom and we'll kind of pull

it down want to try them out

Sure hold it out and you want to hold

underneath the blades right here and

instead of throwing it up into the air

it flaps just let it go okay ready set

about the same yeah even though they

were a little bit different
