but even little babies know that the Moon
isn't made of cheese.

Well, if you're so smart, Little Missy,

That's the most ridiculous thing
I've ever heard.

Well, Granny,

it all started when I said that the Moon
was made out of Swiss cheese.

-Cheddar!
-Marshmallows!

Actually, little ones,

I don't think the Moon
is made out of any of those things.

Then what is the Moon made of?

To tell you the truth, Lola,
I'm not really sure.

-Do you know, Floyd?
-Beats me, Granny.

I guess the only way for us to find out
is to fly to the Moon ourselves.

Yeah. Let's go.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up there, kids.

You don't have to go to the Moon
just to find out what it's made of.

We can just go to the library.

What's a library?

[Granny] A library is a very special place
filled with lots and lots of books.

[all cheering]

I wonder why the library is so much taller
than all the other buildings?

That's simple.
Because it has the most stories.

-[rim-shot plays]
-[groans] Daffy!

[children gasping]

[Taz] Wowie!

But this looks really, uh...

-Boring.
-[in unison] That's it!

-[laughing]
-[librarian] Children.

[Bugs] Eh, what's up, doc?

Shh! Children.

-Uh, who's that, Floyd?
-That's the librarian.

She's in charge of the library
and all the books.

Why is she shushing us?

Because everyone's supposed to be quiet
in the library. Remember?

-Oh, yeah.
-All right.

[children laughing]

What's going on in there, Floyd?

Yeah. That doesn't look so boring.

Of course it doesn't.
It's the children's library.

And, boy, are you in luck.

Today they're having a puppet show
about astronauts.

[cheering]

Shh! Children!

-[quietly] Yay.
-Whoo-hoo.

Hey, Astronaut Dave,
what do astronauts eat off of?

[Dave] I don't know, Astronaut Lisa.

What do astronauts eat off of?

[Lisa] Flying saucers. [laughs]

[Dave] Whoa!

[children laughing]

Flying away!

Hey, Astronaut Lisa,
where do astronauts park their rockets?

I don't know, Astronaut Dave.

Where do astronauts park their rockets?

At parking meteors, where else. [laughs]

[children laughing]

That's a good one.

Hey look.

There's arts and crafts
going on over there.

-[Bugs] Me first! Me first!
-[children chattering]

Isn't it pretty? It's the Earth.

It sure is.

The blue parts are the oceans.

And this is the land where we live.

[gasps]
Taz, you just ate the planet Earth!

[gasps]

[belches] Sorry. Taz fix Earth.

[window shatters]

Taz love Earth.

Come on, kids. The clock's a ticking.

Let's see if we can track down that book
on the Moon

and find the answer to your question.

The book we're looking for
should be right here in this section.

[children yelling]

Turkey. Mmm!

[Daffy laughing hysterically]

Hm.

Hm. This doesn't look like
it's about the Moon.

-[yelps] What?
-Shh!

-Mm, no.
-Shh!

Hey! [grunts]

-[grunting]

-I didn't find anything.
-Yeah. Me neither.

Yeah, yeah. There's nothing here.

[grunting continues]

-Where's Floyd?
-Oh, no. [grunts]

-[Lola] Floyd!
-Hold on, doc!

Hey, look, kids.

I found a book about the Moon
we were looking for.

-Shh! Floyd.
-[chattering]

Now let's see here. Hm.

Uh, what does this page say?

Oh, this page tells us that the Moon
is the brightest object in the night sky.

I bet if we didn't have the Moon,
it would be really dark at night.

I never thought of that, Daffy,
but, yeah, that's true.

Why thanks ever so.

So the Moon is kind of like the Earth's
own special night light.

Why that's a beautiful way
of putting it, Lola.

Earth has only one moon.

And human beings have actually been
to the Moon.

They've flown there in rocket ships
more than once

and may even be planning
to return to the Moon.

Oh, wow, can we go?

Sure, if you want. When you grow up.

Someday, people might even live
on the Moon.

-Oh!
-Wowie!

Oh, you don't say.

Well, before I go,
I'd still like to know what it's made of.

-What is it made of?
-Yeah, Floyd, tell us, tell us.

Let's see. Oh, here it is.

According to this book,
the Moon is made of...

-Yeah.
-Yeah.

-Yeah?
-[belches]

-Dust.
-Dust?

Like the stuff on the floor under my bed?

Yep. Says right here

that all the other planets
are made out of the same thing too.

Dust, dirt, and rocks.

Just in different amounts.

Well, what do you know?

The Moon really isn't made
of Swiss cheese after all.

-Or cheddar.
-Or marshmallows.

Just dust.

Floyd was right.

We didn't have to go all the way
to the Moon

just to find out what it's made of.

We found everything we needed to know
right here in the library.

Eh, what's wrong, Taz?

Yeah. You should be happy not sad.

We found out the answer to our question.

Moon not made of cheese. [sobs]

Taz want eat Moon.

But plenty of other things are cheesy.

Like what?

Hm... [gasps]

-Well, grilled cheese sandwiches.
-Wow!

-Grilled cheese.
-Or Daffy's jokes.

Yeah.

-Hey! Wait just a cottontail minute here.
-[bell chiming]

Closing time. We'd better get going.

But we don't wanna go home yet, Floyd.

Yeah. Now that we found out
about the Moon,

there are lots more questions I have
about lots of other thoughts.

And that means lots more books
for you to read to us.

The cool thing about the library is you
can take the books home if you want.

-We can?
-Sure.

All you have to do
is become a member of the library,

and you get
a special membership card like this.

It's called a library card.

You show it to the librarian
and then you get to take the books home.

[cheering] They're mine! They're all mine!

Mine, mine, mine!

Now who wants to come back
to the library again tomorrow?

I do. I wanna be a member.

Me too. I want a library card.

[belches]
