[upbeat music playing]

-[Arissa] This is the true story…
-[all] True story…

[Frank] …of seven strangers…

[Trishelle] …picked to live in a casino…

[Alton] …work together
and have their lives taped…

-[Brynn] …to find out what happens…
-[Steven] …when people stop being polite…

[Irulan] …and start getting real.

-[all] The Real World: Las Vegas.
-[Arissa] Baby, yeah!

[all laughing]

[soft music playing]

[Irulan] I’m going home.
I can't deal with this.

I'm really, really just…
[inhales] …way too wrapped up

in the whole situation with Alton,

knowing that at some point,
I’m going to have to confront things

in my real life with my boyfriend.

I'm just really,
really overwhelmed and confused,

and rather than trying
to make sense of that,

I just want to, like,
pack my [bleep] and leave.

[pensive music playing]

[indistinct chatter]

[indistinct chatter]

-[Alton] Where is she?
-[Brynn] Where is she?

See, I told you.

-She has to be in her room.
-[Brynn] Where are you?

She's got her [bleep] packed.

-[Trishelle whispers] Are you serious?
-[Alton] No way, dude.

-What started everything?
-I don't know.

I probably said something like--
She was saying

something about you, and I’m like,
"Just open your eyes

-and just be, you know…"
-Open your eyes to what?

What the [bleep] are you talking about
"open your eyes?"

Because what I’ve heard.

Who gives a [bleep] what you've heard?
This is bull-[bleep], homie…

-Trishelle, what did you hear?
-I heard a rumor.

-[Trishelle] Well…
-Listen to Trishelle.

They told me that freakin'--
Alton was with this little girl named--

It started with a "K." Kiley--

-[Alton] Wrong.
-[Trishelle] They was like,

this girl is all upset
because she feels like

she hooked up with you
and that you wrote her this sweet letter.

-[Alton] She said I hooked up with her?
-Yeah.

She got upset because you hooked up with--

-[Alton] This guy looks like--
-[Trishelle] I don't care what Alton says.

I know he has hooked up
with other girls in Australia.

-All this [bleep]…
-[Trishelle] I didn't tell her anything

about hooking up
because she doesn't listen anyway.

If I could stop her from being played,
I would, but she doesn't listen.

She has a boyfriend.

[Alton] I know she has a boyfriend,
but no matter what,

it doesn't matter.
I love this girl. I can't help it.

Man, this is stupid. Gosh.

I don't believe that I'm the reason
why Irulan wants to leave the house.

I'm not tryna play her out.
I'm just tryna love.

I'm trying to love and live.

[soft music playing]

[Irulan] I’m convinced
that I want to go home,

and I’m just disgusted
by the whole situation,

and I just need to remove myself from it.

[Arissa] The only thing
that I’m gonna say,

there is no way on this earth
that I want you to leave, no way.

[Irulan] I mean, it doesn't seem
like I'm gonna be able to explain

to anybody and have them
understand the way that I feel.

I see myself from the outside
right now and last night,

and I don't like what I see,

and that's my problem.
I'm impulsive, and I just go.

Whatever seems okay in here,
I just go.

All of us have done some [bleep]
that you turn around,

and you're like,
"Are you [bleep] kidding me?"

"Did I really just do that [bleep]?"

And all of us are gonna be judged.

Okay? It would be better for you

to walk out of this with your head high,
like, "Yes, I did it. Yes, I did."

No matter what anybody thinks.
Everybody has their opinions.

I might have to seek
some severe therapy after this [bleep].

Replays over and over…

-I'm angry and I wanna go home.
-…and over and over.

-I’m not listening to you anymore.
-Are you kidding me?

-[Irulan chuckles]
-Replays over and over again.

I'm gonna be getting clocked
by the confessional door.

-[Irulan laughs]
-Mad dramatic.

"I've been assaulted." Are you kidding me?

Like, and you're worried
about this [bleep]?

Everybody plays themselves here,
and it's all good.

Talking to Arissa
and listening to her sort of make light

of the situation
makes it seem less overwhelming.

-I’m cool with it.
-[laughs]

I take it you're not leaving?

-Yay, nay, cool?
-[Irulan] I'm better.

I don't want to walk away

from a situation
because I don't want to deal with it.

I don't want to be a quitter.

[Arissa] I guess you got
some unpacking to do.

[rhythmic music playing]

If he even says one word to me,
I will just be like,

"You're a [bleep] liar,
and I don't want to talk to you."

And there's more,
and you know what it is, don't you?

-[Arissa] I mean, does it matter?
-I just-- I hate being in the dark.

[Arissa] Well, one of the rumors
apparently wasn't a rumor,

and I believe it was a threesome.

-[Irulan] He told Steven that?
-Yeah, that's what I was told.

But what if Alton
is just a pathological liar

and lied about that?

Alton's lying to somebody.

Whether it be Steven or Irulan,
he lied to somebody.

I feel like
I’m gonna walk through that door

and steam is gonna come out of my ears
and my head might pop off.

[pensive music playing]

[Irulan] I just cannot wait
to just let him know everything

that I think about how
he's just completely played me out.

Can you come outside?
I really need to talk to you.

I want you to know that
if you thought that you could get away

with lying to me, you are wrong.

-[Alton] How do you--
-Do not yell at me.

How do you know so well
what I [bleep] do?

First of all, do not yell at me.
Let me finish.

I’m raising my voice again.
I'm sorry about that.

When you say
with your own mouth to somebody

that you had a threesome--
Listen to me.

-Who'd I say that to?
-[Irulan] It doesn't matter.

-It does matter.
-[Irulan] It doesn't matter. No.

I admitted the situation from day one
where all I [bleep] said was "be honest."

-Be honest. I'm listening to you.
-Is that so [bleep] hard?

[Alton] She's turning on the blinders
to everything I have to say,

which really pisses me off.
Why are you gonna get me out of bed

to have a conversation,
and you don't want to listen?

I did not have a [bleep] threesome, man.

That would be cool as hell
if I had a threesome in Australia,

and I didn't! I didn't!

I am-- I do, I drink.

-I get girls, I have fun.
-[Irulan] Yeah, I'm glad.

-I go to school. I do my thing.
-[Irulan] I'm glad.

It's like anything in Vegas
that [bleep] breathes

and has a [bleep]. And this is--

-You made me one of those girls.
-[Alton] I did not have a threesome…

[Irulan] You made me
one of those [bleep] girls.

-You made yourself one of those girls.
-[Irulan] Thank you very much.

I swear on everything,
on my little brother,

-I did not have a threesome.
-And that is really sad.

God, dude.

I understand exactly why
she doesn't believe me, and…

[inhales] …who would?
I wouldn't believe her

if the shoe was on the other foot.

I don't need for you to admit it.

What I need is for you to know
that you are not conning anybody anymore.

-I'm not [bleep]…
-[Irulan] Do not, it's done.

-It is [bleep] done.
-Can you [bleep] not do that?

It just hurts to see that
she's believing something that's not real.

Alton and I are done.
Done, done, done, done, done, done.

Don't say [bleep] to me ever again.

-[bleep] you.
-[Alton] [bleep] you!

You already did, really hard! b*tch!

[Alton] [bleep] you.

[upbeat music playing]

[Irulan] He's despicable. He's disgusting
and despicable and disgusting.

-Arissa, did I tell you--
-[Irulan] You know who said it.

Now I had a threesome on the island?

-Like, come on, people.
-[Irulan] You come on.

If I had a threesome, I would represent
and say I had a threesome on the island.

[Irulan] You didn't tell anybody
[bleep] in this house…

No, I told no one with my own mouth

that I had a threesome,
on everything I live.

Did I tell you I had a threesome?

-[Steven] I’m not saying--
-Did I tell you

-I had a threesome?
-I didn't tell them [bleep].

-Did I tell you I [bleep] had a threesome?
-I'm walking out--

-I’m walking out.
-Just say that I didn't tell you

-I had a [bleep] threesome.
-I'm walking out of the house, dude.

I'm out of here.

To be standing there
in the kitchen listening to him

just adamantly deny everything,

and for everybody to sit there
with their mouths closed,

I was just so frustrated.

[Alton] Irulan, you already knew
I was hooking up

with mad girls
before anything ever started with this--

I'm not mad at you for anything

-you have ever done.
-[Alton] You run out your birthday

-screaming at me. Homie.
-Because it's just, like,

you have zero respect.

To [bleep] look at me
and be like, "I love you."

Give me a [bleep] break.
Do you even know what the [bleep]

definition of that word is?
Do you know what it's like

-to really love somebody?
-I do.

She's not a victim,

so I’m not gonna look at her like,
"Oh, poor Irulan."

"You're hurting. You're doing this."

Like, whatever. She's not a victim.

But to even just like you
knowing good and well

that you have your boyfriend,
how can you love me

and yet you’ll say--

I did not tell you
I was in love with you.

-More than once, Irulan.
-No!

Give me a [bleep] break!

-Give me a break.
-Before this gets any further.

This is already a bad situation.

What I really think
that it should be, Irulan,

is that if you guys can talk
and work this out

where you guys can coexist together
in this house, then do it.

Honestly, I just don't feel like
I can give him the benefit of the doubt.

I will not sit there
and be lied to like I'm an idiot.

There's nothing I'm gonna say
that's gonna make her believe me.

Put on a shirt.
Let's go down to the Island Bar,

-'cause we got to talk.
-[Alton] This wouldn't have happened

if I would have just been real
and true to my emotions

and treated her the way that
I would have liked to treat her.

Things would have been
totally different.

[upbeat music playing]

[Arissa]
I love you. You're a good friend to me.

What I have seen myself
as far as the way you treat women,

I’m not down with.

Alton seems to be very down,

very upset,
but I tried to explain to him,

basically,
you put yourself in this position.

I wanted to say the right thing,
like, and let her know

what's going on, and I just…
I just couldn't, man.

It's like-- I just--
I feel like I [bleep] up.

And if anything, this whole Irulan thing
was almost a redemption song

for myself. You know what?

Do the right thing.
Like, do the right thing

and don't do this girl wrong.
Don't do wrong by this girl, you know?

I don't think Irulan even believes

I care enough
to have these sort of feelings.

I think Irulan just thinks
I'm a savage, you know?

Which is-- Which sucks.

So listen,
what am I gonna do, though?

Just stay the hell away from her?

[upbeat music playing]

[Alton] Stay the hell away from her.

And then maybe toward the end
you guys can talk, but not now.

I don't think Irulan and Alton
will be friends after this.

It sucks, because a good friendship
is now ruined.

[tense music playing]

[pensive music playing]

You know,
the open relationship worked for us

because we were in two different places.

He was in Connecticut,
and I was in New York.

You know, when he's away,
and I’m home and whatever,

it's just like we're both just living.

I'm nervous to talk to Gabe
about what's going on with Alton

because Gabe has point-blank told me,

"Do not hook up
with one of your roommates."

Gabe knows that chances are
it will turn into something more serious

than just hooking up, and he's right.

Like, do you think that you shouldn't have
an open relationship now?

Not knowing if my relationship
is even going to survive is enough for me

to be like, "[bleep] dating other people."

When you have something good
that makes you happy,

then you don't need to do that.

[Arissa] Irulan and Alton both
saw something in each other

that allowed them to not think
of the consequences of their actions

but to live within the moment.

When you start getting involved

with somebody you care about
genuinely as a friend,

and then you bring
a physical relationship into it, like,

it starts to trip you out
and make you think things

that maybe aren't necessarily there,
you know?

And Gabe is aware of that,
and he doesn't want that,

you know? He loves me.

If you live in the moment,
eventually you are going

to have to face
the consequences of these actions.

This whole situation has really put
things in perspective for me,

and I really, really love him,

and I've known him for ten years.

You don't walk away from that.

The whole situation
with Alton is not like,

some subconscious, you know,
plot to ruin my relationship.

It's that I honestly believed that
I could do it, and it would be okay.

And I [bleep] that up, you know?
Like, I’m just like, "Oh, God."

[pensive music playing]

[line ringing]

Whatever happens with Gabe will happen,
because I can't turn back time.

I can't change things
even though I wish that I could.

I've been just dreading
having this talk with you

because, you know, I just feel foolish.

I just kind of take a deep breath
and tell him,

and I put him in a bad position,
because I told him

second and did things first.

I just-- I don't know--

Do a lot better when I know
everything is all right with us.

[Gabe over phone]

[inhales] He was basically sleeping
in my bed every night.

[Gabe] Right, why would you think

that I'd be cool with that?
Who do you think that I am?

I'm sorry, I mean, like,
give me a break, man, you crazy?

It's, like, the one thing that
Gabe asked me not to do.

And if I’m not capable of just…
[scoffs]

…you know, this much self-control,
then, like, why should he stay with me?

[Gabe over phone]

Well, then fine.
I'll talk to you in two months.

I don't-- Yeah, I got to go.
