Now I just add a little

extra-spicy special bait, and

the fish won't stand a chance.

You're using pepperoni as

bait?

Sure, Lisa, everyone likes

pizza.

Even fish, I bet.

[Laughing]

Okay, Mr. Know It All

fisherman.

Whatever you say.

Just watch and learn from the

pro.

Hm, that's weird.

There's usually a nibble right

away.

Maybe the fish would rather

have salami.

[Laughing]

Maybe I didn't cast out far

enough.

Hey, Moppy, doesn't the pond

seem a lot quieter than usual?

Yeah, it is pretty quiet.

Where are all the frogs?

And the ducks?

There's usually tons of them

swimming around by the edge of

the pond.

But they're all gone.

Even their nest is empty.

[Reel spinning]

Hey, I think I got something.

Something big.

Reel it in, quick!

It must be huge.

[Groaning]

See, I told you the pepperoni

would work.

Huh?

[Laughing]

I guess old shoes like pizza

too, huh, Moppy?

I wonder where this came from.

[Crunching]

I don't know, but whoever

left it here probably left this

old pop can too.

This pond is sure getting

dirty.

Not just the pond, the whole

park.

[Quacking]

Hey, look over there.

[Quacking]

It's the ducks, all of them.

I wonder what else is

floating inside the pond.

The poor ducklings, they're

stranded out there.

[Quacking]

CORDUROY: Why aren't they

swimming, Lisa?

They want to swim, but they

can't, because the water is so

dirty.

ROSETTA: It is not because

the water is dirty.

It is because people are

putting dirt into the water.

This is really gross.

[Sniffing]

Ugh, I don't blame those ducks.

Ew, yuck.

I wouldn't want to swim here

either.

But the ducks don't have a

choice.

They have to swim here to find

their food.

We've gotta do something.

CORDUROY: Ew, I'm all sticky.

That's it, we're cleaning

this place up.

Hm.

Seven, eight, nine.

I found ten cans on the ground

already.

Gross.

How can people be so...so

litterbuggish.

[Sighing]

I don't think we can clean up

this whole park by ourselves.

You're right.

It'll take forever.

Sounds like you two could use

a few volunteers.

Want some help?

Really?

Sure.

Why don't you stay here, and

I'll go back to the apartment

and get some supplies.

Sounds good.

Now, looks like we got a big job

ahead of us.

I'll keep doing this.

Come on, Dad.

You can help me fish things out

of the water.

Wait 'til you see what I've

caught so far.

Wouldn't it be great, Cordy,

if we got the pond so clean,

even we could swim in it?

Just remember to take me out

of your pocket before you do any

swimming.

I will, Rosetta.

And we'll have to make sure

you're wearing your water wings,

Cordy.

[Sighing]

I could just see it.

The pond will look the best

ever.

[Frogs croaking]

[Laughing]

[Ducklings chirping]

I must be swimming.

I've always wanted to swim.

Just like you.

Quack, quack.

[Laughing]

Quack, quack, cheep, cheep.

[Duckling chirping]

[Laughing]

They have water wings just

like us.

[Laughing]

Strap on, Cordy.

There's a lot of work to do

before we can even think about

swimming in the pond.

MOM: Yoo-hoo, here come the

reinforcements.

You all came.

Blue boxes at your service,

kids.

Cool, thanks, Pandro.

Cleaning up the park is a

great idea.

We're happy to help out.

We brought garbage bags, a

rake, rubber gloves for the

pond, gardening gloves for the

park.

And my favourite old work

hat.

[Sighing]

Still a perfect fit.

Whoa!

[Laughing]

Rosetta and Corduroy are

going to help too.

Maybe we should organize

ourselves.

You know, come up with a plan.

Each person can have a specific

job.

That way we'll get the job done

more quickly.

We don't need to organize,

Mom.

We're just picking up garbage.

Yeah, it's no sweat.

I'm still on pond duty.

Looks like the kids are

running the show.

All right, troops, we've got a

big mess to clean up.

You can say that again.

Oh.

Ooh!

Oh!

[Gasping]

[Gasping]

Huh?

[Sighing]

We've all been working so

hard.

[Sighing]

But it seems like we're getting

nowhere.

Maybe you were right, Mom.

Maybe we should get ourselves

organized.

ALL: M'hm.

How is that gonna help?

Well, it was a disaster when

we all did our own thing.

This time if we plan out what

everyone's going to do, then

we'll be working like a team.

Well, it's not too late to

start over.

Lisa, why don't you tell us what

you want done.

You're the boss, Lis.

Well?

Okay.

Can you guys be in charge of

putting garbage cans around the

park?

Oh, and maybe some "no

littering" signs?

You got it.

We're on our way.

Mom, can you organize the

recycling stuff?

I promise I won't steal one of

your boxes this time.

Recycling is my specialty.

After all, I've already done

it once today.

Moppy, Pandro, you come with

me.

We're on water duty.

Yes, ma'am.

No problemo.

Corduroy, Rosetta, can I

count on you two to clean up the

picnic area?

CORDUROY: Sure,

we'll pick up every piece of

garbage, right, Rosetta?

ROSETTA: Mais, oui,

but of course.

You can count on us, Lisa.

Great.

To your stations, everyone.

[Ducklings chirping]

It's the ducks.

They're back.

Hey, little guys, we missed

you.

[Ducklings chirping]

Oh, it was nothing, really.

You don't have to thank me.

I was glad to help out.

[Clearing throat]

[Laughing]

I mean, we were all glad to help

clean up your pond.

[Quacking]

Oh.

We did it!

You sure did, kids.

What a difference.

CORDUROY: It's just like we

imagined it would be, Lisa.

You got it, Corduroy.

Thanks for helping, everyone.

We sure got a lot more done

when we all knew what we were

doing.

I gotta hand it to you kids.

You did a great thing, using

your Saturday to do something

good for the community.

[Ducklings chirping]

The ducklings sure are happy.

You kids should be proud of

yourselves.

You're probably pretty hungry by

now too.

Come on, I've got some trail mix

for everyone.

[Ducklings chirping]

CORDUROY: Looks like

we made some new friends.

LISA: Yeah.

CORDUROY: The pond

is so clean.

Can we go swimming now?

I think we'd better stick to

sharing our snacks with the

ducks for now, Cordy.

[Violin and French horn playing]

Can we listen to the radio?

I told you, my parents have

to practise.

There's a concert at the

community centre next week.

Oh, ugh, couldn't they play

something else?

Like what?

I don't know, something fun.

Like what?

Like this.

[Slapping rhythmically]

I like what Mom and Dad are

playing.

It sounds nice.

Don't you think it's kind

of...

[Yawning]

It's not boring.

There's more kinds of music than

just...

[Slapping rhythmically]

Moppy!

[Gasping]

Phew!

Moppy!

Oops.

That was close.

Okay, your turn, Lisa.

If you dare.

[Laughing]

[Violin and French horn playing]

[Laughing]

What goes up, must come down.

What's so funny?

This is.

Uh, I...I lost my

concentration.

Ha, yeah, good excuse.

It's not an excuse.

I mean, um, your, uh, parents

play their music so loud, it's

impossible to...to do anything.

I mean, who can think with that

racket?

Racket?

[Violin and French horn playing]

You're calling that a racket?

You're kidding.

What kind of music is that

anyway?

It's classical music.

It's been around for a long

time.

Lots of people listen to it.

Well, I don't like it.

That's 'cause you're

closed-minded.

Pardon me?

That's what Mom and Dad say

when I won't eat sushi.

Closed-minded.

And what does it mean?

Won't give other things a

try.

Yeah, like I wanna eat raw fish.

That's what sushi is, you know.

LISA: I'm not closed-minded.

Hey, where are you going?

To listen to music I like.

[Sighing]

[Grunting]

Voila!

I told you there was a radio

under there.

Was it hiding, Rosetta?

Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

Lisa must have forgotten it.

But now we have found it, alors.

Oh.

Oh!

Ahem, Corduroy, a winding, if

you please.

[Orchestra playing]

This must be a concert.

I've always wanted to go to a

concert.

[Music stopping]

Why has the music stopped?

Lisa, you turned off the

radio.

There's much better music to

listen to.

I like that music.

No, this music is much

better, Corduroy.

Trust me.

[Jazz music playing]

Ew!

[Country music playing]

Ew, yuck!

[Piano playing]

Uh-uh.

[Dance music playing]

There, that's more like it.

But why do we have to like

only one kind of music?

You mean, why do we have to

like only the same music Lisa

likes?

That's not true.

Oh, go ahead.

Listen to what you want.

Huh?

[Violin and French horn playing]

Oh.

[Violin and French horn playing]

What a racket.

Moppy's mom and dad play the

weirdest music.

There are many kinds of

people in this world, Lisa.

And there are many kinds of

music.

[Street music playing]

Your mind, it should not be

fermez, closed to new things.

Your mind should be ouvrez,

open.

You're just like Moppy.

Just because I don't like that

kind of music, doesn't mean I'm

closed-minded.

Look!

What do you see, Corduroy?

Music.

You can't see music.

[Street music playing]

My goodness, you can.

[Sitar playing]

There's more music, over

there!

[Guitar playing]

And there.

You are liking to listen to

this other music?

It's all right.

You don't have to listen if

you don't want to.

It's okay.

[Piano waltz playing]

Hey, down the street.

Do you hear that?

[Singing waltz]

Come on, Lisa.

[Singing waltz]

[Laughing]

[Singing waltz]

[Cooing]

[Whistle blowing]

[Violin and French horn playing]

[Sighing]

Where's Lisa?

She had to go.

[Sighing]

Well, how about you get out

your violin and practise with

us?

Do I have to?

Well, the violin does sound a

whole lot better than all

that...

[Sighing]

[Sighing]

Oh, all right.

[Knocking]

I'll get it.

[Knocking]

I'm busy, Lisa.

Open the door, please, Moppy.

I have to practise my music

lessons.

And you hate the kind of music I

play.

I'm sorry, really.

I was totally wrong.

Really, for sure?

I brought you something.

Well, two things.

Oh, yeah?

Let's see.

Tada!

It's an African slit drum.

It's made out of wood.

[Tapping]

Mom plays it sometimes.

Can I play some music with you?

Sure.

Hey, Mom, Dad, Lisa's gonna play

some music with us.

Is that okay?

Come on in, Lisa.

Hope you like classical music.

I like all kinds of music.

Hey, you said you brought two

things.

So, what's the other thing?

An open mind.

[Classical music playing]

How are we doing?

Sounds good to me.

You know, Corduroy, there are

some things I don't like.

But how will I know, if I never

even try it?
