01x07 - A Ditch in Time

Post by bunniefuu »

You're lucky. It's Plucky. I'm absolutely

ducky. Other shows seem yucky now that

Plucky's on the air. I'm wacky. I'm

quacky. He's an egomaniac-y. Hampton

plays the lucky of this stuff

extraordinaire. Who knows the way to

close his endless babbling beak?Drop an

angle down upon his feathery physique.

Toast him. Roast him. The show will still

be boasting. It's the Pucky Duck Show and

it's on each week His antics are

frantic At times he gets romantic My

talent's so gigantic It'll burst from

your TV The writers are hackers The

artists all with crackers The actors are

yackers But don't complain, it's free

Rocky goes to Acme Lune to learn to be a

star There are other tootsters at the

school But who cares who they are?So

enjoy, don't be coy And don't fall for a

decoy It's the Pucky Duck Show, come and

laugh aloneI also

wrote this song.

Work, work, work, work, work. Study,

study, study, study.

Two tests and a history report due

tomorrow morning.

Why do I always wait until the last

minute to do my homework?Cuckoo,

cuckoo. If you don't do your homework,

you're a cuckoo. Cuckoo.

Midnight. I'm doomed.

Must be fast.

Hey, this is a lot of hard work. Maybe I

better take a quick nap.

but it is Sleeping Beauty.

Square roots, Sitting Bull, fatty

acids, H.G. Wells. Who's

H.G. Wells?

H.G. Wells, novelist, wrote the time

machine. Wells, time machine,

Wells, time machine. I'll never remember

it. Not enough time.

But if I had a time machine, I'd have

enough time. HmmHey, I

got it. Building one would be easier than

remembering all this stuff. I'll skip

school today to build one, then travel

back in time to Friday and do myhomework.

Hey, Mac, kind of far off the interstate,

don't you think?

Just who do you think you are?

I'm you, from four days in the future.

Hey, keep those in our head. We'd look

like a freak if they got stuck that way.

Watch that gag. Take off the mask, buster.

Cut it out, will you?You know we're

ticklish. What's all this junk?

Hey, that's my clock, my couch, my

bathtub, and my lawnmower. It's ours.

You spend the next four days building

this time machine. That was me. Then I

travel back four days to show it to

myself. That's you.

OK, I think I got it. I built this

when I'm you, then travel back in time to

pick yourself up, which is me, to travel

back to Friday to do the homework, which

is ours. You've got it. I

don't even know what I'm talking about,

but if we can get my homework done, let's

go.

I built the machine, so you do the

homework. Deal.

Then power on.

Now all we have to do is travel through

time.

Hey, what are all these special effects

still in my house? We're not in your house

anymore. We're traveling through the 4th

dimension.

And now, we're in the past. We're right

where we started. Yeah, but not when we

started. It's last Friday. See?

You have a whole weekend to do your

homework. Great! Since you're so smart,

you finish the homework while I try this

beauty out.

I should've known better. I just can't

trust myself.

I got to show this thing to Buster and

Babs. Back to the correction!

About time we got a scene in today's

show. If I see Plucky one more

time, I'll scream. Hi, guys.

Great, Babs. Hey, you got to see what I

built. It's incredible. Yeah, but it's

time for school. It's time for

time. Come on.

It's a time machine. Mr. Duckie

has definitely gone quackers. Yeah, well,

hop on and I'll prove it. We'll see

history as it happens and be back before

we left. I have a feeling we're making a

big mistake. It's not just a

mistake. It's an adventure. All

aboard! Now

leaving for yesterday and all points at.

You're in a place. where common sense has

no meaning. You have entered the fluffy

zone. Relax. What could

possibly go... wrong?

Doesn't this thing have brakes?

You know, the worst part about falling

through time is always having to reset

your watch.

I'm alive. I'm safe.

I'm gonna die. Mine, mine, mine!

I

don't speak the lingo, but I catch the

drift.

Living alone, bad. Bring all people

together to this place?Good. Yeah,

and safe. All share food.

We need leader. Strong in health.

Where is it written the duck does all the

pratfalls?Where?

Say, haven't we met?I never forget a

face. In cases like this, it can be quite

a curse. Oh, a gift from

gods.

We bow to you, beaked being from

sky. This is too

good to be true.

And now, from the being who brought you

fire

and steel-belted radial tires,

I bring you magic!

We put heads together. Want, give

place, name. You divine

majesty of wisdom, greatness, and

modesty. I got it.

What better name for a duck's paradise

than Clippy Land?

Nah, no!Who organized this village?

Who gave away all the secrets of the ages?

You can't spoil my perfect setup with a

dumb name like Acme Acres.

Acme Acres. We like. We

call place Acme Acres.

Me and my big fat beach.

Great. Now the stupid thing is out ofgas.

Wherever this is, it doesn't seem to be

crawling with gas stations. Help me, uh,

pretty, for sure! Save me! Uh, like,

save me! Uh, once a mindo knight save a

damsel in distress or some junk?I'll

save you!

I meant to do that. Help me, um, save

me!

There you go. Now, maybe you can help us

find something that makes fire to put in

our time machine. Ooh, like that makes

fire.

Roar! I'll say roar!

I say food.

Help me, save me. Help me,

save me. Help me, save me. Hold on. I say

hold on there. Roar.

Help me, save me! Help me, save me!

A little of that fire-breathing fuel is

just what we need to get back on theroad.

Let's go, Sir Laughs-a-lot. Take

away your props and costumes. What would

you be?Naked.

What's with nature, boy?no like village

here. He think he own world.

Shove off, monkey face. You're on our

property now, bub.

Tiny ducky yummy. Mmm,

tiny ducky yummy.

Babs, Buster!

On the way, Buck! Come to Chit Chat and

run!

Huh

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Oops.

A giant cuddly wuddly. I can

hug him and squeeze him and love him and

never use him up.

I wonder if there's a little water in the

carburetor.

I don't remember this place being

destroyed in Act 2. We saved Plucky and

he ditches us in the Stone Age. By the

'90s, I'll be too old to wring his neck.

The trip must have been harder than I

thought. We looked terrible.

Wait a minute. They didn't have

mirrors in the Stone Age.

You must be my

great-great-great-great-great-great-great

grandfather. Ah, me not that

great. You know Plucky, the

being from Sky?No, we know Plucky the

liar, the fake, the troublemaker.

He not sent from Sky to be king for us?

He's just a Dippy Duck.

Tricked by Dippy Duck. We see

again, he be dead duck.

I got you, Mr. Monster Boo.

You're all mine now.

Naughty Monster Wanster,

you got all icky pooed. And

Myra will have to give you a shower.

Ooh, I missed boo-boo.

And in the 1990s, we have video games

and cellular phones, ready tellers, fax

machines and post-it notepads.

That's why you have to fix the village

and bring everyone back. Hey, boy, wreck

again. All run away. No help

leader now.

Excuse me. We'll teach you how to handle

that guava-brained villain. Here's what

you do.

Morning, cave boy.

Huh

You smash our place, so we live your

place.

Him silly.

Welcome home, g*ng. Acme Anchors has its

old future back again.

That ought to do her. Get back,

Mr. Monster Poo! I have to give you a

manicure!

You want to go back with me?

I don't know. You promise to be good?Ohh

That means even that cave boy will have

to bow down to me now. Paradise, here

we come!

Wait! Come back!

Cuddly-waddly went bye-bye!

Well, Acme Acres may have a future, but

we don't.

For all time you stay. You our

leaders.

Why are you crying?I'm so happy!

Ohh Your

fearless leader has tamed the beast and

returned to rule.

Yesterday's leader, today's tossed

salad.

You're back. Am I glad to see you.

Hey, what about our homework? It's over

there on the desk and school's not till

tomorrow. See ya.

It's done and I can goof off the rest of

the day.

I'm doomed all over again.

I really hate myself! Well, I

hope you've learned your lesson, Plucky.

That's right, Plucky.

There are no shortcuts to learning. Only

through hard work and diligent study can

you reap the rewards of a higher

education. Yeah, Yeah

sure, sureSo, we'll leave you to your

assignment. Good luck! Bye-bye!I

certainly have learned my lesson. Don't

put off till tomorrow, which you can do

today, 'cause it's just a matter of time.
