for a half million dollars.

And now, only renegades Dan and Memphis remain.

Dan came out of the gate strong and formed the first alliance

of the summer with Brian.

We set something up.

Me and you, and then bring whoever else in.

I know exactly what you're thinking.

But Memphis was part of the group of eight

that sent Brian packing.

You have to put Brian up this week.

He played everybody in here.

Brian, you are evicted from the Big Brother house.

Alone in the game, Dan changed his strategy.

Right now, I'm a weak player in this game.

That's what you need to see.

From alignment, and from competition.

I need to continue to build a weak persona in this house

so that I can skate by another week.

And the group of eight overlooked

him as they sent the rest of Brian's friends out the door.

JULIE: Steven.

Angie, you are evicted from the Big Brother house.

With his plan working perfectly, America made

Dan a tempting one week offer.

I will be accepting the America's player offer.

And thank you, America.

When the group of eight fractured apart,

they quickly turned on one another.

I have nominated you, Jessie, and you, Memphis.

And a new alliance was formed that brought

Dan and Memphis together.

Hey, hey, hey, can we all swear, right?

I swear.

With the house divided, both sides

were vying for Dan's vote.

We need to get Memphis out of here.

OK.

I want Jessie gone.

But Memphis's fate was in America's hands.

America has voted to evict Jessie.

All right, good job, America.

JULIE: Jessie, you are evicted from the Big Brother house.

With a new found trust in each other,

Dan and Memphis made a deal to the end.

If we can have an alliance--

I was already thinking of names.

How about the renegades?

Renegades, I'm in.

And when Michelle sought revenge for Jessie's eviction--

I'm going to get them, Jessie.

The renegades managed to keep each other safe.

I don't think Dan has an alliance.

And their alliance dominated the game.

The renegades launched a plan.

I just feel like he wants to be promised that he's

Two the thing, by making the deal, you ensure that one of us

does not go home.

For the renegades to survive this week,

me and Dan can't be on the block against each other.

Both of us, disaster.

And it worked perfectly.

I'm Julie Chen.

Welcome to the season finale of Big Brother .

Since joining forces in week four,

the renegades, Dan and Memphis, have successfully

outmaneuvered their housemates to make it to the end together.

But tonight, they must face off to determine

who will win the half million dollar grand prize.

Will it be Dan, the Catholic high school teacher known

for his unexpected antics, or Memphis, the calm,

cool, and collected mixologist?

That decision is now up to the jury of seven former house

guests who will be here to cast their votes live for the winner

of Big Brother .

But first, the jurors had no idea who their seventh and last

member would be.

And a chilly reception soon turned

heated when they realized they had all been played.

So guys, who do you think the seventh juror is?

I want Memphis to come in.

I think he is arrogant.

And I want to see him come through the door.

In terms of who I would want to come in,

Dan didn't only disrespect me or Michelle,

but in terms of getting you all involved,

and telling you what to say, and mocking you

throughout the entire process, I think

that's a little uncalled for.

I think personally if Jerry were to come into the house,

oh, dear lord, thank you.

Because he wasn't the gingerly old man

that everyone thought he was.

Honey, please.

To spend one more night with that man, please!

We floated Jerry along.

That is why Jerry is there.

We floated the old man along all the way to the end.

It was a running joke in the house.

We had operation get away from Jerry.

Yeah, as like the last one out of the room--

That means Dan and Memphis.

The two evil people are in there.

So tell us what happened.

Well, Memphis and Dan went in the final.

When Dan won that, then Dan evicted me.

So here I am.

I think actually Memphis probably

made an alliance with Dan.

Big time.

Me going out the way they did, the whole thing,

they played us to the hill.

They played everybody to the hill.

Everybody.

Yeah, I brought Memphis a long way, huh?

Both of them together was a force we couldn't reckon with.

We could have handled them one at a time.

Two of them, we couldn't handle.

You could have definitely secured one of the guys leaving

by putting up Memphis and Dan--

Honestly, I could not believe that you put me

and Dan up when you got Memphis!

Who is possibly going to win this whole game!

I had an agreement with Memphis [inaudible]..

And Memphis didn't keep his word.

Don't blame anybody else!

I don't even buy what you're saying, honey.

Will you let me talk?

No!

Well, you don't listen, Renny. He got--

[interposing voices]

I don't need to listen!

I'm tired of you saying that anyway.

I'm not the one that took Memphis off the block.

You did.

Yes, I did.

Why didn't you get rid of him when you had a chance?

That's why you're sitting here too!

There is no easy choice for us.

Now we have to decide who gets $, and who gets $,.

Who's the worst of two evils?

And who deserves it more?

I feel out of anyone, Memphis is the most insensitive person

I've ever met in my life.

Very cut throat.

Memphis is very cunning, conniving, insensitive,

and honey, listen--

That's how Memphis made it.

That is how Memphis made it to the end.

By being very cold hearted, not giving a crap

about anybody in that house. - It worked.

I mean, I have to say that I think

that Dan's best move was just getting everyone to like him.

I love Dan.

I still like Dan.

I mean, I know it's all game, but it's good.

Obviously, with me and Dan, I would have appreciated him more

and respected his game more if he had just

told me exactly why he was putting me up

and not play roulette.

And you, and you, and you, everybody but Dan sat there.

And he tried to throw everybody under the bus.

That was the most embarrassing, mocking

of especially these two, but also playing you

guys in the whole game as well.

What kind of a person-- talk about heartless!

That's heartless.

I actually don't really have bitter feelings towards Dan.

You have to get into his head.

He's a very, very immature young man for his age.

Does that condone it?

I don't condone his behavior.

That's all I want to know.

I think they're both culpable, right?

They've both done their things.

And as we all know, again, Big Brother is not best friend.

It's not, I'm your best buddy.

There is no handbook to Big Brother outside of lying,

cheating, manipulating, stealing, putting your mother

in front of a bus.

I mean, hey, you're trying to win the money.

In their defense, they played the game well to the point

where they're there and we're here.

So to say that, you know, Dan lied to me then betrayed me,

that's just a part of the game.

I tip my hat to Dan for that.

Realize who's played the game well.

Yep.

Who's made the best decisions at the best times

to actually get to where they are now.

One of the smartest moves that Dan made

was the deal that he made with Ollie and back dooring me.

Because he knew I was coming after him.

Would you want to elaborate on your trip

at all considering Jerry has not--

Yeah, let's talk about that.

So I'm the one that went on the trip with Dan.

What trip is this?

The luxury competition that he won to the islands

and the helicopter ride.

He chose me to go with him.

He could select a jury member or--

I didn't know that.

He could select a house guest or a jury member.

And he, weird, picked me out of all the people.

Why would he pick me?

Because he's a game player.

He wanted--

He picked you to get your vote.

He was schmoozing me.

Did you go?

Of course, I did!

Oh!

He gave me an earful, let's put it that way.

Oh, the games people play.

I think that Dan played a better

game than Memphis, personally.

I think that Dan definitely worked a lot harder.

I feel like Memphis, you know, he just laid back.

He didn't have to do anything, which I guess is a good thing,

also.

Memphis let Dan do all the dirty work.

Mm-hm.

Yup.

All the dirty work.

And let me tell you, Memphis was every bit as

responsible for it as Dan was.

It was many things that Memphis did that got him to the end.

He showed a tremendous strength of maneuvering,

of Dan and people to do his work and others to get to the end.

I did all the dirty work for Memphis.

And at the end, stabs me right in the back.

He just let me just carry him on through the game.

His strategic move was to use you.

And that's good for him because you gave it to him and said,

OK, let me help you as far as I can take you.

But when he saw how strong you were, he said,

I can't have that anymore.

Memphis played people, and not so much competitions.

Honestly, he proved it to all of us.

You do not have to win a head of household

to maybe win, possibly win a half million dollars.

Memphis, to me, played a stronger game than Dan did.

Listen, if I play Monopoly with somebody,

somebody doesn't win in Monopoly.

And in the end, you give it to him?

Never won an HOH?

Used everybody in here?

I cannot give somebody half a million dollars

to play a game like that.

For me, I have to go by whether the person

with the blood on their hands deserves it,

or the person that didn't get the blood on their hand.

They're both devious.

I'm going to have a very tough decision.

But they know how to play a game.

Are we all that gullible?

Apparently so.

We're sitting here.

I want to know, what would you say was your most

strategic move, and why?

You know, one of the biggest moves I made in this game

was also one of the hardest.

And it's when I back doored Michelle.

I like Michelle, but in this game,

it's not about liking someone.

I had to get someone out of the house that

could probably beat me in a competition

and beat me in the final two.

And it was a tough, well thought out decision, in my opinion.

Considering you and I had never

really had much conversation in the house,

please tell me why I should vote you

to win a half million dollars.

April, I don't have anything against you.

I just feel like we kind of got separated

at the beginning of this game.

And we never kind of got back together.

And you know, I wasn't trying to put up a front with you.

I wasn't going to feed you BS.

You know, that's kind of how I played this game.

I've been a straight sh**ter.

And you know, hopefully you appreciate that.

You know, we're going to play a little jury

why you chose me to go on the trip with you

when you could've chose anybody.

Yeah, Memphis, by the way, I went on the trip.

And also, I got a little answer to me getting back doored.

Yes.

But you didn't mention to me on the trip

that it wasn't your idea.

It was your alliance's idea.

So maybe you can tell me, was it your idea?

All right, to answer the first part of your question, why

I selected you for the trip.

I felt I played the dirtiest with you in this game.

You know, obviously I back doored you.

And so I wanted to try to make amends with you

by taking you on the trip.

Now, as far as back dooring you, the original plan was mine.

However, I could not enact the plan by myself.

Trusting that Keesha and Renny and Memphis

were all going to vote you out, I didn't know that for a fact.

Luckily, I felt confidence in my alliance.

So could I have back doored you without their support?

Definitely not.

Do I take credit for the idea?

Some of it.

Well, I hope jury house roulette worked out for you.

Memphis!

Good old Memphis, my buddy.

So my question to you is since we were in an alliance

together, and it only benefited you and not me,

why should I give you the money when you didn't win one HOH

and you're telling me that some of the HOHs, you

purposely didn't win.

You know, being HOH maybe wasn't the best plan for me.

Obviously, I'm still here and I haven't won one.

You know, you are a hard competitor.

I mean, you are one of the people when I first

came into this house that I knew for a fact I probably couldn't

beat in a lot of competitions.

You know, I had an alliance with you and I trusted you.

When the opportunity arose to backdoor you, you know,

I might not have been the first one to jump on board, you know?

But after a little bit of convincing, I was, you know,

obviously.

So you know, it was hard for me.

Don't think it was easy by any means.

Well, I'm glad it worked out for you, Memphis, and not me.

Dan, what's up, homie?

This is going to be a tough one.

I can already tell.

You know I'm going to go with it.

Back to our deal that, you know, that we made.

Why would you put your girlfriend's name

into your word.

And I had to come up with whatever

I could to get you to drop.

Why did I throw Monica's name out there?

You know, I knew you're an emotional player.

You play in your heart.

And if I can make you believe that I was playing the same way

and putting the things I loved on the line, maybe

I could get you to drop.

And I had to do whatever it took, whether it was shameful

or not.

Could you name one thing that you did for me in the game?

Go ahead.

That's a hard question, Renny.

I think if I did anything for you, Renny, I gave you--

that's a hard question, Renny.

I think if I did anything for you,

I gave you at least myself and me.

I never tried to connive anything behind your back.

Skirting around every question there is.

I was up front with you.

And this was me.

Why me?

Why would you pick Jerry over me?

I felt like we were really close.

I just want to know, do you have any remorse about this at all?

Keesha, it was the hardest move

that I had to make in this house when I had to vote you out.

I want you to know that.

And that's very sincere.

I had a hard time even seeing you upset.

It frustrated me.

You know, from a game standpoint, I had to do it,

Keesha.

And I know you're not going to understand it now,

and I know you'll probably be pissed off

at me for a long time about it.

But it was the only way that I could get to this point.

It bothers me that I might have ruined a friendship

that I might not ever get back.

Hey, Dan.

Whenever you won a competition, you showed a lot of arrogance.

Do you have respect for any of us here in the jury house?

I would like to know that.

Jerry, I do have tremendous respect

for everyone in the jury house.

You know, winning my first competition, I threw the card.

And you didn't take lightly to that.

That was my only time when I could

say, yes, I won something!

You know, because all the other times

when my emotions got to me in the house,

you know, I never let it out.

I hope any of the moves I made, they were

not meant to be disrespectful.

They were just meant to move me ahead in the game.

But I can definitely see how you would think

that me throwing a card or me throwing

a helmet was disrespectful.

And I apologize for that if it was offensive to you.

I hope you respected me because I respected you, Dan.

Since you had an alliance with me to the end,

had you won the two competitions, who would

you have picked, me or Dan?

I think that--

I want to know, too.

I think that situation, if it were to arise,

I wouldn't be able to make a decision until that point.

Like I said before in an earlier conversation,

that I didn't think too far ahead in this game,

and I never did.

I didn't think about who I would choose

until it came to that point of having that opportunity.

The fact is, I never had that opportunity.

I never had to pull the trigger.

Jerry, I might throw something in there.

Maybe he didn't have to pull the trigger because he didn't

want to win the final HOH.

So he didn't have to make that decision.

You know, this has been the experience of a lifetime.

And each and every one of you made it that experience.

I tried to make a business plan to the end

that would seal me making it through to these two chairs.

Because you thought I could help you in the long run.

You didn't win nothing.

Just to clear things up about the HOH.

I only threw two HOH competitions.

That's it.

But I want you all to know I played

this game very straightforward.

I fed nobody BS.

And this is how I am in real life.

If you think I'm the better player in this game,

If you don't, then I'm not asking you to vote for me.

As I stand here before you, I think back to where we were

before this game even started.

I walked through the door, and I saw a lot of big personalities.

Some tough, physical competitors.

Some athletes with strong will, some intelligent people.

And then I realized, you know, I don't

excel in any of those areas.

So how am I going to win this game?

And then, I thought to myself, you

know, I'm going to have to be more creative,

try to out think people if I can.

Everything I did in this game, I did for a reason.

I aligned myself with Memphis.

Memphis was not going to do anything

that doesn't benefit him.

And what I tried to do with replacement nominee roulette

was upset Ollie and Michelle.

I needed them to dislike me.

Did it go overboard?

Possibly.

You know, but I needed to get some dislike to me in the jury

house so that Memphis would still take me should

I get trapped in that position.

Unbelievable.

Maybe you can set aside your emotions

and vote to think who played this game as a better player.

And I just wanted to let you guys know

i enjoyed getting to know all of you personally,

and thanks for a great summer.

It's good to see all of you together again.

Brian, I want to begin with you.

You were first aligned with Dan.

And you predicted that Memphis would go far in this game.

What would you like to say to the jurors

about these two finalists and the way they played this game?

Well, I'd first like to start off by saying,

guys, congratulations.

And you're absolutely right.

I was laughing my a*s off when I was

sitting there talking to you.

I want to say congratulations also

because throughout the entire course of this game, one thing

I wanted to let the jury know that we

saw from start to finish, it never once became personal.

You never personally attacked a single person.

You never went after anyone.

You played a game in each one of your own individual ways.

And that's all it ever was to you,

is it was a game to get where you both are.

In that transition, just a couple of things,

you know, everyone saw and I wanted to point out

and kind of I guess not really ask was,

one, first off, Ollie, I was a little--

when you threw the temper tantrum towards the end there,

there was a personal reaction to something

that basically had happened that had happened to a lot

of other people before.

And I was really surprised that something like that

had happened.

Who else, Brian?

The other side, I guess, would be

you know, Michelle, the first reaction of losing a trip

to Hawaii, you attacked Libra.

And you attacked her ability to be a mother.

And a lot of people saw that.

I think it was already an attack before that.

And that was just something that had happened there.

And then, in the jury house, when everyone was watching,

when Keesha was still on camera, the first thing

we saw and heard from April and Michelle

was you guys attacking her physical appearance.

And that was the first thing that we had heard.

And it was nothing that had to do with game play.

And so basically, just all the personal things

that had happened from the group over here,

I just wanted to say, congratulate

everyone here that you two are there,

and you played the game right.

Let me turn to Steven.

I see him nodding his head in agreement.

After you were evicted, whose behavior

in watching the entire season surprised you the most?

Probably I would say Jerry.

I thought a lot of his reactions to things in the house

were surprising.

The way he treated Dan was very disappointing.

He claimed that he kept his word,

but he totally didn't keep his word.

And then, called Dan Judas when Dan didn't keep his word.

And I thought it was kind of awful.

And then, you know the way he kind--

the treatment you gave everybody when Michelle

won head of household, running around, calling him Judas,

screaming at him.

There were some horrible things that were said.

JULIE: Let's see what he's talking about.

Congratulations, Michelle, you're

the new head of household.

Yes!

Screw you people!

You're going home!

JULIE: Jerry, would you care to respond?

Sure.

You know, when someone brings religion into it and says,

I'll give up my religion if I break my word,

things like that only made me use religion back.

And the closest thing I could find to someone doing that

was Judas.

A little off color, a little out of line.

But its effect-- the crass went away, and the Bible went away.

We got back to playing the game instead of a religious act.

And that's why I did it.

Let me bring something up.

There were a few of you who thought there

was a conspiracy in the house.

Well, I can tell you now that there was no plant.

There was no season-long America's player.

But there was someone that America

voted to do their bidding for one week, and one week only.

Let's see who it was.

That'd be interesting.

Big Brother fans want you to become America's player for one

week.

Oh my god.

Who should Dan try to get nominated?

Jessie.

You have to put Jessie up there.

You've gotta put him up there.

Which house guest did America choose for you

to hug for at least seconds?

Oh, no!
