And now to today's story, starring me.

And NOT starring Nannete Manoir.

It is the weekend, but this weekend is not just any

weekend, on account of my best friend Gina Lash

will be spending the whole weekend at my house,

while her mom Mrs. Lash is on a business trip

to Acapulco.

Hello?

Are you all packed and ready to go?

Just about, but my mom's still packing.

Gina honey, have you seen my vanilla massage oil?

That was massage oil?

I've been putting it in my lattés.

I know it was one hundred percent natural,

but next time honey, anything in my cosmetic bag,

off limits.

Hurry up and get here, Gina Lash,

on account of I have some fun weekend plans planned

for us this weekend, playing "Bloody Mary,

pillow fights, crank calling Mrs. Brinks.

Ms. Lash: Wrap it up Gina, Francisco's here!

Francisco?

He's my, uh, business associate.

We'll drop you off at at Angela's on our way

to the airport.

We'll be there in ten minutes - weather and traffic permitting.

you really do see Bloody Mary.

Angela, I'm kind of busy right now.

Magnificent! All the great models had big,

beautiful curves.

They're so much more fun to draw than knobby knees.

Mr. Anaconda you've got the most beautiful roses

I've ever seen.

[CHUCKLES]

It's my own special growth formula - and I don't call

it Speedy Grow for nothing!

You shouldn't call it Speedy Grow at all,

seeing as your tomatoes aren't growing at all

on account of they're dead.

I've had a problem with them all year.

You know, we had an unusually dry and hot summer.

Your roses here are in partial shade,

but the tomatoes just couldn't take the heat.

It's not your fault, Mr. Anaconda.

But with a rake, a yard of twine and a tablecloth,

I think we could whip up enough shade to yield a

bumper crop just in time for ketchup-making season!

And then she designed a water system

for watering his garden.

They were digging trenches for the okra when I left.

It's not Gina Lash's fault that everyone loves her.

[WISTFUL SIGH]

I wish I had Gina Lash at my house to distract my family.

Then I could ride my bike in the hallway all I wanted

and I'd never get in trouble!

But she's no fun anymore.

She's too busy hogging my family to be any fun.

It doesn't sound like she's hogging your family.

It sounds like what she's hogging is your family's

attention.

Hey! Angela's jealous that her family likes Gina Lash

better than her!

[LAUGH]

WHAT?!? Take that back, Johnny Abatti!

Uh, I, I think I hear Nonna calling me.

I am not jealous.

I'm glad that my family loves Gina Lash.

Glad, I tell you!

Besides, it's only for the weekend. Right?

TWO MORE WEEKSI!?

Isn't that great, Angela?

I guess her Mom and Francisco had a little more

business to take care of.

[CHEER]

Maybe tomorrow you can give me a hand weeding

the asparagus bed.

I've heard chickens are good for that.

They peck around the asparagus,

eating the weeds, plus you get the added benefit of

free range eggs.

Chickens, cool!

Dad, can we get chickens?

And the doctor says, 'If I'd known that I woulda

taken your other kidney too!'

Hey Angel-fish, you haven't touched your dinner.

Gina: Are you kidding?

This is the most fabulous Tuna Noodle Casserole

I've ever had!

Oh Gina Lash, you are too much.

Mom: Well, now that Gina's going to be here for another

couple of weeks, we'll have to find something

to entertain her with.

Any ideas?

We could get those chickens and chase 'em around the

yard or something!

I do have an idea, but, naw, it's too crazy.

Well, once I read about a family that put on a

carnival in their own backyard.

Not only did they have a fun-filled day,

but they raised hundreds of dollars for a good cause.

A carnival.

...and food.

Oh Gina, that's a wonderful idea!

What cause shall we donate our profits to?

Well, since you brought it up,

Why aren't you at the carnival with my whole family?

Well to be honest, the only reason I suggested the

Carnival was to keep them busy so I could spend some

quality time with you.

I don't know if you noticed but they haven't given me a

moment's peace since I got here.

So you came in here cause you wanted to hang out

with me and not them?

Well, that and the cotton candy machine ran out of sugar.

This is Nanette Manoir.

Who is this?

Nanette, dear, this is Mrs. Brinks!

You know I'd prefer if you didn't call me during my

exfoliating time, Mrs. Brinks.

Oh, please! Call me Ephigenia.

The reason I'm calling is to give you a special assignment.

I need you to construct a life sized model of the Eiffel Tower

out of toothpicks and rotted meat.

[GIGGLING]

Today I am wearing my brand new sneakers which I know

everybody will like on account of they are so new.

Nice sneakers, Angela Anaconda.

Or should I say nice stickers.

Excuze-moi, Mrs. Brinks, but I didn't realize chewing gum

was allowed in school.

It most certainly is not!

Then perhaps someone needs to explain that to Angela

Anaconda, who is clearly not aware that she is breaking

a school rule.

Why thank you, Nanette dear, for bringing this blatant

violation of school rules to my attention.

You'll not be attending recess today, young lady,

it's eraser-clapping duty for you!

Yes, Mrs. Brinks.

This flagrant disregard of school policy reminds me,

however, of an announcement: the school is looking for a

student volunteer for the position of Hall Monitor.

This is a great honor - this person will be looked

up to by everyone.

He or she will be responsible for enforcing

school rules and they'll get to wear this magnificent

orange sash.

[GASP]

Volunteers, anyone?

Looked up to by everyone???

That's my kind of job!

Order in the court! Order in the court!

In addition, the appointed person will have to come

into school early, stay after school late and

perform Hall Monitor duties during school recess.

Well then, Miss Anaconda, you are our new Hall Monitor!

Huh?

You must really want to prove yourself responsible

if you're willing to forgo recess on a permanent basis.

Forgo recess?

Now here's your sash, and your whistle.

And tickets to hand out whenever you see someone

violating a school rule.

[BELL RINGS] Ah, there's the bell now.

Oops, I forgot- you can't go to recess.

[CACKLING]

Gee, rough break, Angela.

Yeah, the only thing worse than missing recess

would be missing lunch.

Now you'll have to stay after school

and come in early, too.

C'mon, it's not so bad.

I mean, just look at this great orange sash!

So on account of this is a great honor which I should

be honored about, I have decided to look on

the bright side.

If only there was a bright side to look at.

Chez Par-ee makes the best croissants.

But I never eat the ends.

I leave those for "the help" to clean up.

It keeps them busy.

Nanette? Breaking a rule??

[WHISTLE BLOWS]

Nanette Manoir, as Hall Monitor of Tapwater Springs

Elementary School halls, it is my sworn duty to hereby

arrest you for littering, or at least give you a ticket.

[GASP]

[GROWL]

So thanks to a certain someone,

I had to send an extra big Chez Par-ee muffin basket

to Mrs. Brinks in order to get my so-called

"littering violation" wiped from the books.

Well, I'll tell you one thing -- Angela Ana-snitch

is going to regret ever giving me that ticket.

Angela Anaconda, your getting Nanette in trouble

is almost as thrilling as my getting both jiggly fruit

and spice cake for dessert.

I only regret I couldn't give her a ticket for being

a stuck-up, fake- French, butt-kissing cow p -

Hiiii Nanette!

Excusez-moi, Angela Anaconda,

but someone at your lunch table is committing a

serious infraction.

Aren't you going to do something about it?

Hey, they let me take two desserts!

I'm talking about our friend John and his disgusting

habit that has ruined my bon appetit.

I didn't do nothin'.

First, he eats with his mouth full,

now he talks with his mouth full, too.

Sorry Nanette, there's no rule that I know of that

says he can't eat how he is eating.

Well, there should be, n'est pas?

N'est YES!!

From henceforth, according to Section ,

Paragraph of the annotated School Rule book,

Mr. Abatti's unpleasant eating style

shall be strictly verboten.

[GROAN]

Pardonez-moi, Mrs. Brinks, but I'm sure that Angela

Anaconda, as Hall Monitor, would like to know that

a certain someone has just violated the

"no passing notes in class" rule.

Mrs. Brinks: Why thank you, Nanette.

I'm sure Angela is very grateful for your help in

upholding the school rules.

I'm grateful all right - grateful I'm not you,

Ninnie-poo.

Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, according to the

School Rule book, Paragraph , Section B,

it's the Hall Monitor's job to read said

note aloud to the class.

"Roses are red, violets are blue, who do I adore?

Why Gina, it's you!"

[LAUGH]

Gee, Angela.

Just because you have a sash,

doesn't mean you can't have a heart.

Angela, I think you need to read Article C in the

chapter on Nutrition to your ravenously hungry friend here.

"There will be a three Jiggly-Fruit limit

per student at all times.

[SIGH]

I am going to tell Mrs. Brinks I don't want this

stinkin' job anymore on account of it stinks!

Mrs. Brinks, about my job --

Yes, you are doing a wonderful job, Angela!

In fact, I'm so impressed with your leadership skills

that I'm going to leave you in charge of the class.

It'll only be a short while.

I have to go to the teacher's room to pick up a

lovely French muffin basket that a certain thoughtful

someone sent me.

Nanette dear, perhaps you would like to join me

for le petite midday snack.

But Mrs. Brinks, don't you think I should stay and make

sure Angela Anaconda is doing her job properly?

That is oh so thoughtful of you Nanette,

but I'm sure Angela will continue to enforce the

rules as ruthlessly as she has been.

After all, she does snitch on her best friends.

Nanette: Angela Anaconda, just wait 'til Mrs. Brinks sees

how badly you are not enforcing the rules!

I knew you weren't the leader type.

Mrs. Brinks, Mrs. Brinks, come quick!

So, Ninnie-For-Nothing does not think I am

a good leader?

Well maybe it is time she started following my rules.

First, I will write you a ticket for violating Rule ,

Paragraph : "No fake phonies allowed."

But don't despair, Ninnie-Wart,

for I am giving you a ticket on Angela Airlines!

"Help me, help me!

The wind is ruining my precious locks of hair!"

You will beg.

And help you I will.

Seeing as I am so very grateful for all of your

help enforcing the school rules.

Namely Paragraph , Section B which clearly states:

"No butt-kissing baloney curls allowed."

"My curls! My curls!"

you will cry as your fuzzy French frizz

falls on the floor.

Sorry, Ninnie-Noggin.

But I'm afraid I will have to give you a ticket for

every hair on your head on account of litter is litter,

and litter is not allowed.

It's time we gave you a one-way ticket

back to Faux France.

Mrs. Brinks: Oh my stars and garters!

Miss Anaconda, I demand an explanation

for this unholy ruckus!

Um, uh...

I think what Angela is trying to say is that

perhaps someone who can't enforce the rules should be

properly disciplined.

That is not what I was trying to say!

Young lady, you have put me in a most awkward position.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to hand down the ultimate

disciplinary action.

Angela Anaconda, I hereby sentence you to be relieved

of your Hall Monitor duties!

Really?

Oh, I mean, please give me another chance, Mrs. Brinks.

If you just let me proove it,

I just know I could be half as good a leader as Nanette.

Oh, vraiment, Angela Anaconda,

which is French for "get real."

Mrs. Brinks, can we really afford to take a chance on

someone who has so grievously violated Rules

I must concur with your conclusion, Nanette,

and compliment you on your knowledge of School Rules.

Some of us are born with leadership skills,

and some of us are not.

Which is why I'm naming you our new Hall Monitor!

But - but being a Hall Monitor is a lot of work and

everyone ends up hating you, not to mention this orange

sash is an imitation polyester blend and clashes

with my ensemble! [BELL RINGS]
