02x01 - Stuck Up, Up and Away/Schoolhouse Rocked

Post by bunniefuu »

Sugar,

Spice...

And everything nice.

These were the ingredients
chosen to create
the perfect little girl.

But professor utonium
accidentally added an extra
ingredient to the concoction...

Chemical x.

[expl*si*n]

Thus the powerpuff girls
were born!

Using their ultra-superpowers,

Blossom, bubbles, and buttercup
have dedicated their lives

To fighting crime
and the forces of evil!

The city of townsville...

And it's a shiny new day

With a shiny new limousine

Heading for pokey oaks
kindergarten.

Seems there will be a shiny new
face joining the class today.

Girl: I'll need
the milk money

For my first day
of new school.

I suppose it'll do.

Miss keane:
well, hi there.

It's nice to
finally meet you.

Come on in.

Everyone, can I have
your attention?

I'd like you all
to give a nice,
warm welcome

To our new friend
princess morebucks.

Class: hi, princess!

Hmm...

Hi, princess,
want to help us build
a skyscraper?

When I want to build
a skyscraper,

My daddy builds me
a real one
in any city I want.

Hey, princess,
get on aboard
the choo-choo express.

Whoo! Whoo!

I only travel
first class

On my daddy's
private lear jet.

Hey, princess,
do you dig dirt?

Ick! No!

Hi, princess.

Want to play with twiggy,
our class hamster?

Ew, no, I do not want
to play with your smelly,
mangy little rat. Yuck!

Narrator: oh, no!

In twiggy's distressed state,

Her frantic attempt
to get far away

Has caused a nut
to work itself loose
from her scamper wheel.

No!

Twiggy!
Buttercup,
vaporize the cage.

Bubbles...you, me,
fastball special.

[All cheering]

Wow! That was amazing!
How did you do that?

It's easy.

We're superheroes.

Yeah, we're
the powerpuff girls!

Oh, well, then,
I'm going to be
a powerpuff girl, too.

[Giggling]

Ahem, well, uh, we're
not really accepting

New members
at this time,

But thank you
for your interest
in our group.

What? You can't
just blow me off

Like some common peon.

I'm princess,
and my daddy buys me
anything I want.

And I want to be
a powerpuff girl!

Well, I'm sorry,
but you can't.

We're superheroes.

We were born
with superpowers.

You can't just buy
superpowers.

Princess: oh, yeah?
Tell that to batman.

[Bell rings]

I don't think I like
that princess at all.

Yeah, why was
she so rotten
to everyone?

Well, she's new here
and probably doesn't know
how to make friends.

We should give her
a chance.

Narrator: meanwhile, across
town at morebucks manor...

Princess: daddy!

Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!
Daddy! Daddy!

My first day of
new school and everyone
was mean to me.

I just wanted
to make friends,

But everyone ignored me,

Especially
the powerpuff girls.

Everyone loves
the powerpuff girls,

So I wanted to
be a powerpuff, too,

But they were being
selfish and spoiled,

And they told me
I couldn't...

They told me
I couldn't!

But I wanna!

I wanna be
a powerpuff girl!

I want! I want! I want!

Ah! Hee! Hee!

Narrator: the next day
at school...

Coloring time proceeds
as usual, until...

All hail princess,

The newest and best-loved
powerpuff girl of all time.

What?

See, I told you
I was going to be
a powerpuff girl.

Uh, I like
your outfit.

Of course you do.

It's just like yours,
except better.

Girl...
I'll handle this.

Now, princess, sweetie,
maybe we didn't explain
well enough.

[Buzzer]

Yeah, mayor?
A robbery?

First national bank?

Why do they get to
answer the fancy phone?

Don't worry, mayor.
We're on it.

Come on, girls!

Princess:
hey! Wait for me!

Ow!
Ow!

Narrator: meanwhile, deep in
the bowels of townsville,

A crime is afoot.

Heh! Heh! Heh!

That takes care of that.

Ooh great!

Thank you, townsville,
for letting us have
all your money.

Blossom:
not so fast, crooks.

Crooks:
the powerpuff girls!

Why do they always want to
do it the hard way?

[Click click click]

Ok, let's take care of
these knuckleheads and get
back to school!

Princess: don't worry,
powerpuff girls, I'll save you.

Powerpuffs: huh?

Evildoers, beware the wrath
of the powerpuff princess.

Hiyah! Hiyah! Hiyah!

Hey!
Watch it!

Sorry we couldn't leave
all the money like you asked,

But we'd like to leave you
a little present anyway.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

[Muffled screams]

Crook: I love it when
a plan comes together!

They're getting away!

No time! The b*mb!

Hooray! Powerpuff gir...

[Clearing throats]

Sorry, we're not really
in the mood right now.

What's wrong with you?

You ruined everything.

Catching robbers
should have been
a piece of cake,

But no!

You had to come
swinging in with
your little toys.

"Look at me...
Powerpuff princess!"

Ooh, I ought to...

Look, princess,
now do you see

Why we don't let
extra members on our team?

Crime fighting is
dangerous business,

And you don't really
have superpowers

Or any kind
of experience.

So, you see,
it really is for
your own safety

When I say
you just can't be
a powerpuff girl.

All right?

Daddy!

Daddy! Daddy!
It was awful!

I was being a good
powerpuff girl,

But they were yelling,

And then the man
grabbed me and put
a b*mb on me,

And everyone
laughed at me.

And it's all
your fault,

Because that supersuit
you bought me stinks!

I thought you loved me,

But I guess not
if all I get is
cheap junk.

A real daddy who really
loved his daughter

Wouldn't care
what it cost...

Now that's the love
I'm talking about.

Narrator: oh, boy...

The following morning,
back at pokey oaks
kindergarten...

Gee, I haven't seen
princess yet today.

Yeah, I bet she's still
at home crying.

Well, she probably
feels pretty silly
about the way she...

Princess: powerpuff girls!

Looks like she went
shopping this morning.

All I ever wanted was for
everyone to instantly love me
as much as they love you.

But no, you turned
everyone against me.

You humiliated me.

You told me I could never be
a powerpuff girl.

Well, if I can't be
a powerpuff girl,

Then there won't be
any powerpuff girls!

Uh, princess.

The girls already
know this rule,

But you're new,
so I'll let you know.

I don't allow fighting
in the classroom.

Oh, I'm sorry.

We'll take it outside.

So! Who said money can't
buy superpowers.

You've been asking for
this for a long time.

Yaaah!

Buttercup!

As you can see,
my new cybertomic armor

Increases my speed
and strength

Far above that of
your average powerpuff girl.

Oh, you!

Oh, please.

Yeaaaah!

Talk to the hand.

Bubbles!

Let's see, blaster rays,
flight boots,

Super-strength forcefields.

I guess with this new suit,

The powerpuff princess
has got you beat all around.

So, blossom,
are you jealous?

Are you scared...

Seeing how easily
I thrashed your sisters

Without even
breaking a sweat?

Well, what's the matter?

Cat got your tongue?

Very well, prepare to
bow to your princess.

Yeeeeah!

Buttercup!

Bubbles!

Blossom!

Huh?

Whoa!

Why won't you let me
be a powerpuff girl?

Because you're just
a spoiled brat.

And being a powerpuff girl
isn't about getting your way

Or having the best stuff
or being popular or powerful.

It's about using your own
unique abilities to help people

And the world we all live in.

And you, little girl,
have done nothing worthy
of the name powerpuff.

Ooh, nice bracelets.

Oh, they'll just
be smashing

With your new
prison wardrobe.

Princess: well, you...
You can't do this to me.

I'm the princess.
You know who my daddy is?

My daddy knows people,

And my daddy knows
people like money.

Narrator: well, princess,
the only cha-ching

You'll be hearing from now on
is the sound of prison doors.

And so once again
the day is saved,

Thanks to the real
powerpuff girls.

Narrator:
the city of townsville
is under attack.

Fuzzy the loser.

Bubbles the winner!

Bubbles: hey!

Man, ace, bubbles
sure kicked your...

That means
good game, ace.

Come on, let's ditch
this joint.

Arturo, big billy,
move out!

Uh, just a second, ace.

Two points!

Tickets!

Yeah, yeah,
any of you goobers
seen grubber?

Ace: quit horsing around.
Come on!

Ace: so now what do
youse want to do?

Man: I'll tell you
what you're going to do.

You're going to listen
and listen good.

Who am i, you ask?

Wednesday, jack wednesday.
I'm a truant officer.

What's a truant officer,
you ask?

Well, the only way
to answer that is
to be smart,

And you boys aren't
very smart, are you?

Didn't think so.

So, how do you
become smart?

That's right,
you go to school.

And what would you learn
if you went to school?

Well, for one,
you'd learn what
a truant officer is.

Now who can tell me what
a truant officer does?

Ok, I'll tell you
once more, but this
is the last time.

A truant officer's job
is to make sure punks
like you go to school.

[All laughing]

Oh, man, we ain't never
done gone to no school.

You're kidding.

No, we...

Zip it! I was being
sarcastic,

Which is another
big word you'll learn
in school,

But you wouldn't
know that

Considering you've
never attended

One of this country's
great educational
facilities,

Which is a thought
that just sickens me.

And when I'm sick,
the only cure for
my ailments

Is for me to do my job.

What kind of kids
did I bring to your
class today, you ask?

Well, you'll find out
soon enough.

Oh, children...

We're going to be having
some new students with us,

And I'd like you
to help me welcome them.

Come in, boys.

Powerpuffs, gasping:
the gangrene g*ng!

Class, I'd like you to meet
the first of our new guests...

Sanford d. Ingleberry.

Everyone calls me
s-s-snake, gots it?

Arturo de la guerra.

Don't mess
with me, ok? Ok.

Grubber.

Pbllt!

William w. Williams.

Hi.

And last but
not least...ace.

[Belches]

[All laughing]

Miss keane!
Miss keane!

This is
the gangrene g*ng!

They're one of
our worst enemies!

Yeah, they're bad.

Miss keane!
Miss keane!

Why, we're not
bad guys.

We're here to learn.
Just give us a chance.

I promise we won't
let you down.

Aw, see, girls,
you just have to give
people a chance.

Now, why don't we get
ready for snack time?

Who would like to pass out
the milk and cookies?

Gangrene g*ng:
pick us! Pick us!

Ok, boys, go ahead.

Yay!

Hey, kid, how's
about a cookie, huh?

[Spits]

Oh, look,
I dropped it.

But don't worry.

A little dirt never
hurt nobody, huh?

Hows about some milk?

Drink up, babies.

Ace: hey, kid!

Miss keane! Miss keane!

The gangrene g*ng is doing
something bad...look!

Ace: huh? What did you say?
You want another cookie?

All right...here.

Oh, my.

See what we're
talking about?

Let's get 'em!

Wait! Girls!

You know
the school rule:

No fighting in class.

Now go back to
your seats.

Ace: yeah, you heard
the teach,

Go back to your seats.

Tough luck,
s-s-sissies.

[All laughing]

Now, I think it's
about time for some
show-and-tell.

Yay!

Why don't we have
our new students come up

So we can learn
something about them.

Blossom:
this isn't good.

Well, who would
like to go first?

How about you,
grubber?

Do you have anything
you can show us?

Pbllt!

[Creaking and bones cracking]

Why, hello, there,
I'm grubber.

Very nice to meet you all.

Pbllt!

Why...thank you for sharing
that with us, grubber.

Who's next?

How about you, billy?

Do you have anything
to show us?

Yeah!

Aaaaahh!

Why, uh...
Thank you, billy.

We had no idea
you were a cyclops.

I've got one eye.

This can't get any worse.

Arturo, you're last.

Um...ahem.

Today I would like
to present you

With someone very, very
close to my heart.

She was given to me by
my poppy macho arturo

Just before he went
up the river.

She always make me look good
when I'm in the b*ttlefield.

Friends,
I'd like you to meet...

Maria conchita teresa rosalita,

But you can just
call her... Maria!

That's it!
Come on!

Keane:
girls! Girls! Girls!

No fighting!
No fighting!

But, miss keane!
Arturo's holding a deadly...

Comb.

See, girls, you have
to be more trusting of
our new students.

Now go back to your seats.

I'm sorry, arturo.

S'alright.

Now, boys and girls,
it's craft time,

So get your supplies out.

Let's all have fun, ok?

[Gangrene g*ng laughing]

We'll have fun all right.

The gangrene g*ng's
at it again.

Let's fight back.

Girls, you know we can't...

Let's get 'em.

What?!

They started it.

Miss keane: girls, what did I
say about fighting in class?

Powerpuffs:
but we didn't start it.

The gangrene g*ng did.

Well, it doesn't matter
if you didn't start the fight.

It's just as bad
that you fought back.

When are you girls
going to learn?

I am disappointed
in you girls.

[Bell rings]

Now, everyone,
it's time for recess.

Students: yay!

Miss keane: uh, girls,
you stay.

You're not going anywhere.

You need a time-out.

Powerpuffs:
but the gangrene g*ng!

No buts, girls.

You've been very rude
to our new students,

Who you keep
saying are bad,

But I have yet to see
them do anything wrong.

Ace: well, well,
welly, welly, well, class.

Looks like
it's just you guys...

And us guys.

Hmm...what should
we play during recess?

Oh, I know!

How about a well-rounded
game of dodge ball?!

Miss keane!

Quiet, girls,
you're in time-out.

[ba*ls bouncing]

What's going on out there?

[Kids moaning]

[Gangrene g*ng laughing]

Oh, girls, what are
we going to do?

Come on, let us
fight them!

I'm sorry, girls,
but I just can't allow
you to do that.

You know there's
no fighting in school.

What is it, miss keane?

Girls, I want you to go
outside and play dodge ball.

Blossom:
this is no time for us
to be playing a game.

Girls, you know
there's no fighting,

So go outside and play
dodge ball instead.

Understand?

Uh-huh...

Good.

Now hurry up,
recess is almost...

Over.

Hey, kid,
watch out.

Whoops, sorry.
Whoops, sorry.
Whoops, sorry.

Powerpuffs: whoops, sorry.

Gangrene g*ng: uh-oh!.

Go, girls, go!
Go, girls, go!

Go, girls, go!

Go, girls, go!

Students: yay!

Girls, I'm so
proud of you.

Job well done.

Wednesday: I'll bet.

You ask why I take care
of these boys?

That's right,
because someone has to,

And it's not an easy job
taking care of children,

Making sure they're not
getting into trouble,

Watching out for
their well-being.

But you wouldn't know anything
about that, would you?

Didn't think so.
Let's go, boys,
time to go home.

Oh, and, teacher,
before you tell me how
to do my job,

Maybe you should figure out
how to do your own.

Uuuhhh...

Well, girls, I think
mr. Wednesday taught us

A valuable lesson
here today.

Education is the
progressive realization
of our ignorance?

No...don't turn your
back in the middle of
a dodge ball game.

Narrator: ha! Ha! Ha!

Oh, miss keane!

Under your rule,
school is cool.

So, once again
the day is saved,

Thanks to
the powerpuff girls.
