there was a meerkat who

was very tired and
wanted to fall asleep

and be left alone by his insomniac
warthog friend. The end. Good night!

That wasn't a real story, Timon.

I want you to read
me a real story

from my little book
of warthog fairy tales.

Uhh! I'd hate to
see the big book.

There's meerkats in 'em, too!

Okay, okay, alright,
I'll read ya a story.

"Once upon a time

there was a happy-go-lucky
meerkat and a hard-working warthog."


If there's one thing a happy-go-lucky
meerkat likes to do, it's...

Limbo!

Hey, hard-working warthog!

Care to join me for
some limbo fun in the sun?

Thank you for the kind
invitation, happy-go-lucky meerkat,

but I must decline,
for only diligent labor

will provide the
adequate food stores

that will sustain me through
the harsh, cold winter.

I have no idea what you just
said, but I know it's a waste of time.

All that work makes you one
dull warthog, and I mean boring!

Silly meerkat. All that work
will give me plenty to eat

when the harsh,
cold winter comes.

gotta remember that one.

"And when the harsh,
cold winter came,


the warthog was happy and
warm and had plenty to eat,


while the meerkat was freezing
cold and starved to death.


And the moral of this story is,
prepare for days of necessity


like the hard-working
and wise warthog,


or you'll end up like the lazy,
silly, starving-to-death meerkat."

saved the naive little meerkat

from his own foolishness."

Yeah, right here at the very end.

Oh, I bet ya never
heard this story before,

but it sure looks
like a good one.

Oh, boy! Tell me,

Once upon a... eh... a time!

Yeah? Yeah?

Okay, okay, okay! I got it now.

Once upon a time...

At the top of a mile-high
mountain of gold and jewels,


there was a handsome,
brave, and smart meerkat king


named king... uh... timmin.

Gee, Timon, that
sounds like your name.

Are you sure you're
not just making this up?

No! I'm not making it up. See?

Huh... So, uh...
and then one day,

when king timmin was having
tea with the sun and the moon,


his kingdom was attacked by
a ferocious, fire-breathing, uh...


Wartdragon!

I'm a ferocious,
fire-breathing wartdragon.

Oh! Solar plexus!

We are doomed!

And all the world
will be in darkness!

Fear not! As usual,

I, handsome, brave,
smart king timmin

will save my kingdom!

The kingdom is saved!

Let there be light!

Long live king timmin!

But that's not the only
evil... Warthog monster thing


king timmin had
to conquer, no sir!


Why, uh... why, he, uh...

He saved little red riding
hood from that wicked old,


grandma-impersonating warthog!

Oh! Oh! And then,
he, uh... he, uh...


He got rid of that mean
old rumple-wartskin!


Uhh!

And thanks to king
timmin, the, uh...


The wicked warthog of the
west was all washed up! Ha ha!


And, boy, howdy! You should've
seen king timmin knock the stuffin'


right outta that evil,
rotten warthog genie.


And even the, uh...

The savage warthog
giant didn't stand a chance.


♪ Yodel-ay-Dee-hoo! ♪

And then the entire world
was so grateful to king timmin


for getting rid of all
the bad, terrible, grisly,


cold-hearted, repulsive
warthog monsters,


that they gave him lots
and lots and lots of awards.


He won a purple heart,
a red badge of courage,


and the, uh... the blue
Chip stamp of approval,


and lots of other shiny things
that said how great he was.


And the moral
of that story is...

That it's much better to be
a meerkat than a warthog,

'cause meerkats are
smart, handsome, brave,

usually some type
of king or something,

and get tons and
tons of awards for

wiping out the warthogs
that nobody likes.

Now, that's a story,
right, Pumbaa?

Pumbaa?

Gopher!

Zazu, sir, I was just reorganizing
as per your orders, sir.

The inspector will
