Freddie wanted the g*ng and I

to help him make his first movie..

"I Was A Teenage Mall Monster."

...starring a pup named Scooby-Doo.

Alright, get into your monster costume, Scooby baby.

Okay, Freddie baby.

Daphne, sweetheart, Shaggy, baby cakes

you both look marvelous!

Like, I think that camera's gone to Freddie's head.

No kidding.

Quiet on the set! Lights!

- Lights. - Camera! Action!

Oh, Officer Rogers, we just have to stop the grody mall monster.

"Like, yeah, today it will eat the Coolsville Mall

tomorrow, the world."

Get serious. He couldn't even eat one shoe store.

[Freddie] 'Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut, cut!'

That's not in the script!

I know. But whoever heard of a mall monster, anyway?

Daphne, according to "The National Exaggerator"

mall monsters are getting to be a big problem.

Oh, please.

Besides, this is your big chance

to become a Hollywood movie star.

Ooh, like I was saying

I sure hate those mall monsters.

That's better. Say, where is the monster?

Scooby-Doo, where are you?

[growling]

It's about time, Scooby. Say, boffo costume.

Now, quit horsing around and take your place.

Sorry, Freddie. Zipper's stuck.

Zoinks! If this is Scooby, then, like, who's that?

I don't know! Who?

[snarling]

Stinkweed. That's who.

[all whimpering]

[growls]

[all] Yike!

[all] Whoa!

Like, fast thinking, Velma. He can't get us up here.

Yeah. You saved us.

[slurps]

[giggles]

[growls]

[laughing]

[security alarm blaring]

Alright, buddy. You're under arrest.

No one can stand the smell of Stinkweed.

- Like, this is terrible! - This is horrible!

This is great! Hey, he's going into the pet store.

[clamoring]

- 'P-yew!' - P-yew!

[growls] This is just fine.

[laughs]

Scat. Get away!

[sighs]

- Like, he's getting away! - Come on, g*ng.

Maybe we can get the number of his getaway car.

[Daphne] "Getaway car," Freddie?

[upbeat music]

screech

Like, we'll never find him in here.

[sniffing]

Ah!

[gulps]

Oinks!

- Let's get out of here. - Like, good idea, Scoob.

Yeah, I'm afraid the monster's gotten away!

Yeah, I guess so.

Let's regroup and then split up.

Hm.

This mystery looks like a job

for the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency.

So much for my movie.

Say, I know! We can make a video movie about how we solve cases.

[all] Good idea.

We interrupt "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo"

for this special announcement.

Freddie had a good idea.

It's a miracle! Thank you.

Yeah. We could show it to people and everything.

Yeah.

Zoinks!

- Look! - Like, Scoob found a clue.

"Grand opening tomorrow.

"'Stinkweed 10, The Smell Continues.'

Meet the star, Vincent Thorne."

Hey, he's the actor who plays Stinkweed.

Hm. Sounds like a good time to look for clues.

[instrumental music]

[Shaggy] So, like, the next day

we returned to the scene of the crime.

There he is!

Alright, Mr. Thorne

you can't fool the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency.

- Yeah. - We know it's you.

How could you be so despicable?

What a terrible thing to do

dressing up like Stinkweed and stealing all that money.

- Why, I ought to-- - Daphne, that was terrific!

Stupendous! Wild!

Uh, can you do it again? I forgot to take off my lens cap.

- Oh, brother. - Excuse me.

Uh, did you say you're a detective agency?

That's right. So watch your step, mister.

- Yeah, watch it. - Actually, I need your help.

- You do? - 'Yes, can I hire you?'

[all] Huh?

It's, it's not fair.

Just because I play Stinkweed in the movies

everybody thinks I'm the thief robbing all the stores!

- They do? - Yeah!

Even the police think I did it.

But I swear, I didn't steal anything!

- You didn't? - No!

And you kids may be my only hope.

You have to help me. You have to...

Okay, okay. Settle down.

We don't come cheap, you know?

Twenty-five cents a day, plus candy expenses.

I'll pay you $25 a day if you'll help me.

[all gasping]

Twenty-five dollars?

Yeah..

- 'I like it.' - Great. Thumbs up.

I give it a nine-plus.

The movie was quite, uh, interesting, Mr. Thorne.

Thank you, uh, I think.

[sniffing]

Scat, puppy.

- Oh, wow, that was great! - That was something.

Fantastic movie.

What an unmitigated piece of garbage.

That movie really stank, Thorne.

Oh, hello, Grady.

Kids, this is Grady Lawrence.

- A fellow actor. - Hello.

Grady follows me wherever I go

just waiting for a chance to make me look bad

so he can take over my role.

Ha, I should have been Stinkweed

in the first place anyway.

- Hm. - Anyway..

Too bad about this, eh, Thorne?

[Grady laughs]

If you go to jail, I wonder

who they could get to play Stinkweed.

Oh, my. I must go now. I'm due on the set.

Like, are you in a movie, too, Mr. Lawrence?

Not exactly.

I'm starring in a commercial

for O'Greazy's Bucket O' Fun Restaurant.

Ta-da! I am the new bucket o' nachos.

[all] Ew!

Ta-ta!

Hm. Maybe we'd better check up on this Grady Lawrence guy.

[sniffs]

[slurps] Good idea, Daphne.

[chuckles]

You're beautiful, baby, beautiful!

But a little more crunch with the o' chips, okay, sweetheart?

Action!

[slurping]

Wow, that O'Greazy really knows how to direct!

Come to O'Greazy's

for the crunchiest nachos in town.

Nachos are too messy, you say?

Then try our bucket o' napkins.

Cut! You're amazing!

You're interesting! You're..

- You're fired! - Huh?

I need someone who doesn't talk so funny.

Someone like Vincent Thorne.

[screams]

Boy, what a director!

Look! Scooby's found out where the nachos lead.

[slurping]

Like, good work, Scoob. Let's check out the motor home.

Okay, g*ng, let's split up.

Freddie, split up where? It's a motor home.

Oh, yeah, heh-heh.

It's Grady Lawrence's dressing room.

[slurping]

Boy, Scoob, like, these are my kind of clues.

[gulps] You said it, Shaggy.

[cash register rings]

- Huh? - I knew it!

It's the attack of the Bell people

from the planet Ding Dong.

Actually, Freddie, it's the cash-register people

from the planet pet store.

Jinkies. Scooby found a clue.

[computer beeps]

Look!

[Daphne] 'Where have we seen her before?'

I know. At the movie.

Like, Scoob's right. We saw her coming out of the movies.

[telephone ringing]

We'll never surrender to the evil Bell people.

Scooby-Doo Detective Agency.

Hurry, kids. I found a big clue at the movie theater.

Like, don't worry, we'll be right over.

Yeah. Right over.

[Shaggy] So we, like, hightailed it back to the mall.

Slow pan. Telephoto. Zoom!

I wonder what kind of big clue Mr. Thorne found.

Ah! Help!

[Freddie] It's Mr. Thorne!

He's in trouble. Come on!

[instrumental "Charge"]

[growls]

[whimpering]

[screaming]

[roaring]

[snarling]

screech

Uh-oh.

I got Thorne.

Now it's your turn.

[hens clucking]

[laughing]

So much for you kids.

Like, it's about time you showed up. Do these come in purple?

And I need a pair of red go-go boots. Size four, triple-A.

[gulps] Of course. Sorry.

How are these, miss? Oh, here's your purple, sir.

It looks like we caught you red-handed.

Or should I say, green-thumbed? Ha-ha.

- Uh, well, I, uh-- - Face it, lady.

You've been seen every time the monster's shown up.

Oh, well, uh, you're right, but, uh, I, uh--

Aha! I knew it. Confess. Come clean.

Give it up and tell the truth.

Okay, the reason I'm sneaking around

is because I'm with the FBI!

- FBY? - No, the FBI.

- 'Oh.' - Special Agent Jane Thursday.

Yeah, and you kids are getting in my way!

[Jane] 'I've almost got enough clues to prove'

'that Vincent Thorne committed these crimes.'

Vincent Thorne? I think you're making a mistake.

- Oh, really? - That's right.

We've got enough evidence to prove

that Grady Lawrence is really Stinkweed.

Yeah. We do?

Like, we actually found the cash register he took

from the pet store, in his dressing room.

We did?

And he wants to get even

with Mr. Thorne.

He does?

And he's been seen hanging out

with the mall zombies.

He has? Uh, what's a mall zombie?

Hm, you kids may be on to something.

I'd better alert my supervisors at the FBI.

We'd better get back on this case, too.

- Nope. - Like..

What's the matter, Scoob?

It's Scooby-Snack time.

Oh, my gosh. Like, Scoob's right.

Did you bring the Scooby Snacks, Freddie?

No, I thought that Daphne had 'em.

Not me. I brought them last time.

- It's-- - Jinkies. Look.

[clears throat]

Like, wow, 99 flavors of Scooby Snacks!

Which one do you want, Scoob?

Hm. Vanilla, please.

[gulps]

Mm. Mm. Mm-mm!

Ah..

[sniffing]

- Like, what is it, Scoob? - Something stinks. P-yew!

[sniffing]

Scooby must be on to something.

Jinkies, look!

[Shaggy] 'L-l-like, it's Stinkweed.'

[Velma] 'And he's got Grady's shoes.'

Hey, what's Stinkweed doing with someone else's shoes?

- I don't know. - I wonder.

Ah, ah, ah..

Oh, no. Like, Scoob's allergic to cattails.

Yeah. Achoo!

Whoa!

[growls]

Now you'll see the wrath of Stinkweed.

L-l-like, I already s-s-saw that movie.

Isn't that the one where Stinkweed

meets the giant zucchinis?

No. It's the one where I get rid of you pesky kids!

[blubbering]

Hold it. Like, we need some music, Scoob.

[whinnies] Yeah. Music.

[rock music on stereo]

Let's boogie.

Yeah, but I wish there was some way to stop that monster.

Hey, looks like Velma's figured this mystery out.

And I'll bet she has a plan.

I'll find those kids.

- Glad you could make it. - Huh?

Follow me. It's time for your big scene.

What is this?

We're filming your latest movie, "Return To Stinkweed Island."

Okay, places, everybody.

Quiet on the set!

"Return To Stinkweed Island," take one.

Roll camera, and action!

Help. Like, help!

Please! Somebody help us.

- Ta-da! - Huh?

Sergeant Scooby to the rescue.

Hurray! It is Sergeant Scooby.

We are, like, saved.

[growls]

[Shaggy] 'Be careful, Sergeant Scooby.'

You will have to beat that monster at his own game.

No problem.

[Stinkweed] 'It's your turn.'

[Scooby] 'No, it's yours.'

You're losing.

[laughs]

No way.

I win.

[roars]

Cut! Great job, Stinky.

What emotion, what raw anger!

But I don't think it's what we want, sweetheart.

- Aww.. - 'Follow me.'

Aren't you supposed to be in the quicksand, Daphne?

And ruin my outfit? Get serious.

Jinkies. "Return To Stinkweed Island," take two.

And action!

[growls]

I hope Scooby can drop the trap to catch Stinkweed.

Don't worry, Daphne, with me directing

how could anything go wrong?

Don't ask.

[Scooby imitates Tarzan call]

Hurray! It is Scoob of the Jungle.

I am, like, saved!

[ululating]

[chuckles]

[thuds]

What's the meaning of this?

Help, Shaggy!

Uh, do you wanna try another take, Stinky?

Uh, baby cakes? Uh, Mr. Stinkweed, sir?

Fools, you can't trick Stinkweed.

[Scooby] Yikes!

[Stinkweed screaming]

Whoa!

I'm s-stuck!

Like, good work, Scoob. You caught him. Scoob?

Help, Shaggy!

Thanks, Shaggy.

Well, we finally caught Stinkweed.

But do you know who he is?

I've got all the clues on tape. We'll roll 'em.

[Velma] 'Suspect number one is Grady Lawrence.'

'He hates Vincent Thorne and he swore to ruin his career.'

[Freddie] 'Yeah, and what about the stolen cash register'

'we found in Grady's dressing room?'

Oh, boy, cartoons.

Scooby, we haven't finished the mystery yet.

Oh, yeah. Sorry. Heh-heh.

Uh, but, like, don't forget suspect number two

Jane Thursday.

But she's with the FBI.

But we don't know for sure.

Well, suspect number three.

And the real monster is Red Herring!

Hey, what are you doing in my house?

Get that camera out of my face, you weenie.

So, like, who really is the monster?

It sure isn't me.

[Grady] Nor, uh, is it me.

Then who?

Only one person could be Stinkweed.

Vincent Thorne.

[all gasping]

I began to suspect it was Mr. Thorne

when I saw he was making footprints with Grady's shoes

not covering them up.

Yes, it's me.

I couldn't stand making one more Stinkweed movie.

- I hate Stinkweed! - I get it.

You wanted Stinkweed to look so bad that the studio

would have to stop making Stinkweed movies.

Uh-huh. And you'd have all the money from those robberies.

Yeah, and I would've gotten away with it, too

if it wasn't for you pesky kids.

[imitates Tarzan call]

And that pup, Scooby of the Jungle.

Come on, Thorne, your next role is gonna last

ten to twenty years.

[Shaggy] The Scooby-Doo Detective Agency had done it again.

And Freddie was, like, hot to film his next movie.

Say, Grady, how'd you like to star

in my next blockbuster thriller

"Attack Of The Mall Moles?" It's a true story.

I'd like to, Freddie, but I have an important audition.

Like, are you gonna try out for the new Stinkweed movie?

Not exactly.

I am starring in Mr. O'Greazy's new commercial.

It's for O'Greazy's new

Bucket of O' Scooby Snacks.

Bucket of Scooby Snacks? Oh, boy!

[laughs] Looks like this commercial

will be a big hit with a pup named--
