some crazy lady
came at us with these robots

called Mechazoids.
You should've seen Donnie.

He got so excited.

Leo walked us into a trap,

stuff blew up,
blah, blah, blah.

I got kidnapped
by a bunch of rejects

called the Purple Dragons.

Yeah, you can't
make that stuff up.

A Mechazoid showed up
in the middle of it,

and I... I don't know, man,

I'd never done
anything like this

without my family by my side.

But me and the Dragons
teamed up

and stomped the thing.

Pretty cool
if I'm being honest.

Then I stole
their leader's bike

and went to save my brothers
because I'm awesome.

- [squeaking]

- I'm not gonna let anything
happen to us, Dad.

- I've got this.

- I'm not worried.

- Humans all seem
pretty awesome.

- And even if we run
into trouble,

there's nothing
we can't handle together.

- [muffled screaming]

[panting]

[dramatic music]

Please, please, please,
please, please pick up.

[billboard chimes]

- This is April.
- April! It's Donnie!

I'm in Times Square.

There's a robot chasing me,
and I...

- And I wanna know why
you're leaving a voicemail.

I mean, seriously, just text.
Like...

- Oh, come on!

[grunts]

[screams]

- [hisses]

- Oh, crud.

Ah, whoa!

[panting]
- [growls]

♪ ♪

[growls]

- [grunts]

- [growls]

- [growls]

- [screams]
- [snarls]

- [grunts]

- [growls]

The subway.

- Hey, it's one
of them turtles.

- Hey, can we get an autograph?

- [grunts]

- Hey, I'm driving here!

Go ahead.

Ah! Ow!

What'd I ever do to you?

[door rattling]

[grunts]

- Mm. Oh, you tried
this tofu cream cheese?

[laughs] I literally
can't taste the difference.

[elevator dings]

- Uh, hey, officers.

Uh, am I happy to see you.

I got a crazy story
to tell you, but, uh, I, uh...

I think
I'm gonna pass out now.

[groans]

- ♪ One, two, three, four ♪

[upbeat rock music]

♪ ♪

- Whoa, whoa, whoa,
slow down, kid.

You're not making any sense.

- Evil robots are trying

to exterminate
me and my brothers.

What is confusing about that?

I gotta get out of here.

- Maybe just start
from the beginning.

- [sighs]
Fine.

The beginning.

[electronic music]

♪ ♪

[tense electronic music]

[Mechazoids snarling]

- Are you even listening
to me?

- What?

I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah,
evil robots and stuff.

- Sounds like you got a lot of
feelings of inadequacy, too.

- This is an emergency.

Are you actually
taking selfies right now?

I have to find my brothers.

I have to save them.

- Unbelievable.

A real live mutant
right here in our station.

We're gonna be famous.
- What? Come on!

And why am I handcuffed?
Am I under arrest?

I can't be under arrest.

That goes
on my permanent record.

- Uh, you're not
under arrest per se.

- Oh, yeah, we just need
to question you.

For our book.

- "Subway Cops:
Mutant Edition."

- Wait, all those notes
you took aren't for, like,

sending to the SWAT team?

They're for a book?

- Transportation Officers,
Special Mutant Division.

[chuckles] They make
the book into a movie.

Then we retire and open
that cop-themed restaurant

we always talked about.

- Ah, the Cop-acabana.

- For the book jacket.

[camera shutter clicks]
- Can you focus here?

We're all in danger right now.

The Mechazoid
that's tracking me,

it... it's still out there.

It's super dangerous.

- What, do you mean this thing?

Looks like some kind of
fancy backs scratcher to me.

It can't hurt you.

[beeping]

- What is that?

- [snarls]

- See?

I've been telling you
the whole time.

- Tase it!

- Eat hot lightning!

- [trilling]

- Uh, hey, uh,
can you scoot back?

- It's not falling down.

Shouldn't it be falling down?
- Shock it some more!

- Well, how do you do that?

- My phone's broken,
so I need this. Sorry.

I'll bring it back
so you can write your book.

[suspenseful music]

- [grunts]
- [snarls]

- [shudders]

- [growls]
- Hey!

I'm the mutant here.

- [snarls]

- I'm certainly
regretting that one.

- [roars]

- We should retire and open up
the Cop-acabana right now.

- You are so right.

- [grunts]

[panting]

- [roars]

- Ah. Ah!

[grunting]

- Sorry.

- It's one of those
mutant heroes.

- I was gonna say
evil robot chasing me,

but, yeah, that, too.

- Hey, can I get a selfie?

- I know you're just following
your programming,

but can we take a timeout?
- [growls]

- Yeah, I didn't think so.
- [screams]

[jazz music]

- Excuse me.
Sorry.

- Hey!

- [growls]

- It's fine.

All good, man.

- [panting]

- Mechazoid 04,
your target is heading north.

Move to intercept.

- [beeping]
[snarls]

- [yelps]

Gonna borrow this.

- Hey!

Ah! Oh!

- Uh...

[grunts]

- [beeps slowly]

- Huh, that's what you get
for not buying a ticket.

Oh, man!

Nobody's ever around
to hear my sickest burns.

[soft dramatic music]

Robot?

It's got an antenna.

It must be receiving a signal.

Ah!

- Hm?
- Huh?

- Oh?

[eerie music]

- What do you think
you're doing, mutant?

- [gasps]

- Huh?
What's going on?

- I don't know.

- Ugh, I hate commercials.

- Bishop?
Is that you?

- How long do you think
you can evade my Mechazoids?

They're stronger than you.

They're faster, smarter.
- Yeah?

Well, if it's so smart,
how did I defeat it?

- Simple.
You didn't.

- [beeps]

- What the Cop-acabana?

[screams]

[grunting]

[suspenseful music]

- You really believe
you can stop my machine? Huh?

The Mechazoids
are self-repairing.

They're built
to learn and adapt.

So whatever you do,

they'll find a way
to destroy you.

I know there's
more of you out there.

I'm gonna find you all.

- [grunts]

Ah, ugh.

Yeah. Yeah, do that.

Go find Rocksteady and Bebop.

You'll like them.

- [growls]

[sighs]

- [gasps] O-M-G,
is that one of the turtles?

It's the one with the sticks.
- He's got swords!

- [chuckles]

the assassin bots

hacking into everything,

which is actually
kind of cool.

You must have some insane
processing power in your lab.

- You have no idea.

the Times Square billboards

if I wanted to.

Your bandwidth
must be, like, insane

to stream a video
that's high res enough

for that pixel count.

- Oh, you want
to talk about bandwidth?

I've been building
these systems for...

wait, you're trying
to distract me.

- I thought we had
a good thing going.

is you, mutant.

- [yelps]

- The Mechazoid is connected

for the last 52 years.

you know, uh, see?

[passengers scream]

[computer chimes]

this might freak you out,

but there's
a lady named Bishop,

and she's hacked into
the entire subway system.

She's controlling
all the screens,

and then there's...
there's this robot.

And... and...
- [snoring]

- Uh, sir?

S... sir?

Shouldn't you,
you know, be awake?

- Huh? What?
Wha...

[beeps]

- [groans]
The signal keeps cutting out.

- What are you doing?

Is that... are you
actually writing code?

- Maybe.

[train horn blares]

- You seem to have some

elementary understanding
of robotics.

I can only infer
that you plan to upload

a new code to the Mechazoids
so you can take control.

Well, it won't...

[phone ringing, vibrating]

It won't... ugh!

- Are you seriously
getting a phone call right now?

I'm sorry,
is my existential struggle

for survival messing
with your social calendar?

Do you need to reschedule?
- Be quiet!

- No, really, it's OK.

- Hey, did you

[train horn blares]

[intercom chimes]

Uh, please tell me you skipped
that stop on purpose.

I don't know what's happening.

- Isn't it obvious?

Bishop, you can't do this.

There's people aboard.

- A small sacrifice
for the good of the species.

Mutants are too dangerous to
let even one of you survive.

- That's super messed up.

You're the dangerous one,

And, by the way,
even humans have mutations.

Try reading a book.

- That's different.

- Look, if your Mechazoids
keeps searching

for anything with mutations,

they'll start
targeting humans, too.

Everything mutates eventually.

My Mechazoids are perfect.

They'd never hurt what
they were made to protect.

- And no offense, but isn't
that exactly what you're doing

right now with that train?

- OK, machine,
you want to do this?

[train horn blares]

[computer chirping]

rabbit ears up on the top side.

- [snarls]

[screams]

- [grunts]
[screams]

[grunts]

[beeps]

[train horn blares]

Guys, this thing's
trying to crash the train.

I'm trying to stop it!
- Get the robot!

- Eat this!
- Get him!

[chirps]

- Yes!

[grunts]

[suspenseful music]

Ah!

- No, not over there.
Look at us!

- Ah! Whoa.

[grunts]

- All your
so-called intelligence

can't save you, mutant.

- [screams]

- [gasps]

- [exhales deeply]

- Sometimes, you just
have to go beast mode.

- Let's go!

[energetic music]

[screams]

Hi-yah!

[beeping]

[grunting]

♪ ♪

[distorted slow-motion yell]

[screams]

[grunts]

- Come on!

- [grunts]

[arm whirring]

[beeps slowly]

- No! No!
This isn't possible.

[beeps]

- The train.

[beeps]

[train horn blares]

[passengers gasp]

[tense music]

♪ ♪

- The brakes
should be working now.

- It's not working!

[train horn blares]

[passengers exclaiming]

[monitor buzzes]

[brakes screeching]

[both screaming]

[screeching]

- [whimpers]
Hm?

- Oh.

- [laughs]

[beeps]

[indistinct chatter]

- Huh, unbelievable.
- Stupid.

- [grunting]

[groans]

Huh. I guess beast mode
does work sometimes.

- This thing is amazing.

What do you think it is?

- Well, it's a leg.

- Great, you're here.

I think I can track down
Bishop to wherever

she's sending her signal from.

We can find her
and save my brothers.

- Uh, yeah.
No, we're good.

- What? You're the police.
She's trying to wipe us out.

- Yeah, pretty sure we got
enough material for our book,

which, you know...
- We have to be alive to write.

Uh, can we keep this?

- Give me that.

- Come on, man.

- Good luck, kid.
Maybe call your mutant buddies.

Sounds like
you could use some backup.

- Huh, backup.

[upbeat rock music]
