01x25 - Hulk vs. Metal Master

Post by bunniefuu »

At a m*ssile base in our great
southwest, the countdown is halted

while General Ross
waits for Dr Bruce Banner.

Where is Banner?
We can't start without him.

He's the brains
behind this space probe.

If he wasn't a civilian, I'd have
his hide, I'd slap him behind bars.

Dad, what if something's
happened to Bruce?

The Hulk's been seen in this area.

At that moment, not far away,
crouching behind a boulder,

the Hulk has his own problems.

Must get to the underground lab.

That regiment on manoeuvres
will see me.

If they follow me,
they'll discover secret hiding place.

If I don't change to Banner soon,
it'll be too late.

The longer I stay the Hulk,
the harder it is to change back.

Must take a chance.
Have to dodge their radar.

No. Can't do it.

Too many jets.

They're coming this way.

They gotta stay back.

Mustn't make me hurt them.

They don't know the Hulk's power.

It's the emergency alert.
Condition red.

Back to the base on the double.

Now's my chance.

And so the Hulk enters
his secret cave

and soon stands
before the awesome ray machine

which changes him
from a monster to a man.

Each time I change
it seems more painful.

But this time I'm stronger,
more powerful.

However, his new physique
is only temporary

and he soon reverts back
to a weary Bruce Banner.

I should have known it couldn't last.

What's happening at the base?

Something's wrong.

Betty and General Ross
look terrified.

My space probe rocket.

It's melting.
But that's impossible.

And at the base itself...

Who's there?

I am the Metal Master from the planet
Astra many galaxies away.

It was I who melted your rocket
with the power of my brain

to show you how invincible I am.

I possess mastery
over all forms of metal,

and since all metals
are made up of atoms,

I control each and every atom
by mental command,

throwing them in and out of orbit,

thus causing them to fly apart
or adhere together, like so.

On the planet Astra, our sculptors
create magnificent statues

by mental commands alone.

And as for me,
they dare to sentence me to exile

for trying to seize supreme power.

And now, after roaming the galaxies,

I have decided the Earth
and its people shall be my prize.

Grab him.
He's as nutty as a fruitcake.

Wait. I give you
one more demonstration.

- Hey, my helmet. It's floating.
- Mine's melting.

And now, unbelievers,
watch me destroy that tank.

He didn't even touch it.

It's that energy ray
coming from his head.

The metal bands are encircling us,
trapping us inside.

You will surrender this base
to me immediately,

and the planet Earth must accept me
as supreme ruler within 24 hours.

I begin to tire
of these childish feats.

I shall leave you
while you discuss my terms

and realise how helpless you are.

Helpless, are we?
I'll alert my m*ssile squadron.

Look. He turned that piece of metal
into a flying carpet.

There he is. Fire. Those hunter
rockets will bring him down.

Disintegrate.
That one goes back to the base.

Take cover.

Gotta find the Hulk.

Rick Jones races to the secret lair.

Stand back, Rick.

Some guy called the Metal Master
is threatening the base, the world.

I know.
That's why I'm changing.

But what happened to your face?

No, it can't be.

The Hulk's body
but Bruce Banner's face.

You can't go out like that.
It would reveal your identity.

I just remembered I've got
model masks of the Hulk's head.

I'll wear one of 'em right now

and let that weakling Banner
figure out what happened.

Me, I got something
more important to do.

You're the one
who turned that tank to junk,

just like what I'm gonna do to you.

An idle threat. This junk,
as you call it, is mine to command.

For example...

Can even the Incredible Hulk
withstand the tons of deadly steel

being hurled at him?
