Hey, Hulkies.
Hope you're doing better than we are.
We were lost in space, trying to get home.
Then we stopped to help this super judgy alien dude, Ronan, to keep the evil planet Ego from attacking his home world.
Turns out we got played.
This Ronan creep just wanted to take control of Ego and turn him into a weapon.
So we helped little Ego and drove off Ronan.
But then got a new problem.
Galactus.
Cosmically-powered, funny helmet.
And, oh, yeah, eats planets.
Guess who's on the menu? If you guessed Ego, you were right.
They say helping others brings good karma, but I'm thinking this time, it brings karma-geddon.
You get it? 'Cause karma Karma-geddon.
It's a joke.
No? What are we doin', Greenie? Startin' a super-villain collection? You gonna put Squeaky there in a cell on our ship next to leader? Why are we even defending that punk after he almost destroyed Earth? I have the same question, red Hulk.
Ronan.
Skaar slash bad green man! Skaar can't smash green man! It's a hologram, Skaar.
Green man is safely up on his ship, hiding.
Allying with the planet Ego will doom you all.
The Kree technology I have implanted in Ego's brain core, was not only to control him.
It is an anti-matter b*mb.
Get it off him, Hulk! Won't come off! Not without cookin' him.
You monster! Why did you do this? Self-preservation.
Galactus intended to consume my planet, the Kree home world.
The b*mb will destroy him as he feeds on Ego.
Yeah, but Ego goes too.
The price is acceptable.
By destroying Galactus, I save not only my world, but thousands more he would devour in the future.
Gotta admit It's pretty smart.
Get rid of Galactus now, maybe save billions of lives down the road.
There's another option, Ronan.
The one where everybody lives, Ego too.
Wait, Hulk! Perhaps, for your own self-preservation, you should abandon Ego.
I said we're gonna protect you, and I mean it.
Then you have chosen your fate.
Welcome, Firelord, herald of Galactus.
The planet Ego is now yours for your master to consume.
As agreed.
Mortals, if you wish to live, evacuate this world! Not until I tell you what's really going on here.
I have no time for your words.
I have time only to burn! You heralds of Galactus sure are stubborn.
You're worse than Terrax! Terrax failed my master and was melted before my cosmic flame.
Just as you shall be! We'll see about that! Ha-ha! You ain't so hot! Uh, where's he goin'? Uh-oh.
This guy is really burning my butt.
This world is little more than a barren rock.
Suddenly unworthy of fighting me for.
That's where you're wrong.
Anything alive is worth fighting for.
Now, in case you haven't noticed, you're outnumbered.
Hulk's got more Hulks.
Superior numbers will not save you.
Couldn't have been that easy.
Why fire-head man fly away? Yah! Ow! Yeah, okay.
I'm feelin' the burn.
We're gonna need some kind of huge fire extinguisher for this guy.
Our enemy is too powerful.
Do not risk your lives further for me.
Your ship is still within my gravity field.
I will release it, so you can return to your home.
We're not gonna run.
That's not what we do.
Little planet ball not look good.
Fear not.
Galactus will put him out of his misery.
Speaking of, you better warn your master if he tries eating Ego, he'll be destroyed.
It is Galactus who annihilates planets, fool! That's it.
I tried to reason with ya! Everything deserves to live! Even Ego! I know.
I'm trying to convince Firelord to protect life while I'm punching him.
But sometimes, when you wanna make a point, you gotta pound it in.
I'm thinkin' he got the message.
Yeah, but what are we about to get? You have defeated my herald.
But his task is complete.
The way has been cleared for my world destroyer.
Now I shall devour this planet.
Galactus, you can't eat this world.
It's a trap.
The Kree turned Ego into a b*mb.
It'll destroy you.
I understand.
Uh, you do? You are desperate to dissuade me, but I hunger And will not be deceived! Oh, man.
Quick! Find cover! Your resistance is futile, mortals.
I will feed on this world.
Somebody get this guy a sandwich.
Need big sandwich.
Hold on, Ego.
This isn't over.
Even if Ego survives, the whole universe dislikes, fears him.
What value does Ego have? Being hated and called a monster all the time, I've asked myself the same question.
Just remember, everyone has value.
Sure.
Never know when you might want some big, ugly planet to drool on you - You shush! - Ow! Hey! You wanna punch somethin', punch that big, old gizmo! Jen, you still got leader's remote control? Bring down the ship.
I'm on it.
Knew Greenie would come to his senses.
This isn't our battle.
Now we can go home.
Or, well, back to being lost in space.
Who said anything about going home? You're going up there.
Oh, I get it.
You think we can use Galactus' ship to stop him.
And maybe the b*mb in Ego.
So we're going up there.
What are you gonna do? Keep Galactus busy.
Now go! Hey, big G! What's the matter? Can't hit a moving target? Ship's here! Let's go! Jones, where you going? We ain't waiting for him.
- Yes, we are.
- Hot stuff coming through.
What are you saving flame-face for? We just smashed him! Hey, it's what we do.
And we just might want some barbeque later.
Something's happening.
Uh, what is that? Nothing like a nice big cannon to make you feel welcome.
- Skaar no like light on him.
- We're being scanned.
Simple-minded brutes.
None may enter Galactus' ship, save for those who belong.
And you belong.
Good thing I saved him.
See, Red, it's all about the karma.
Well, I call it "dumb luck.
" Look at the size of this ship! Are you guys seeing this? Am I seeing this? 'Cause this place is, like, blowing my mind.
Yeah, it's over our heads, which is why big brain's gonna help us Or else.
It's just like you imbeciles.
We stand in a vessel of unlimited cosmic power, and you want a weapon.
Uh Okay, leader.
How do we use that big g*n on Galactus? I'm working on it.
This technology is far more advanced than anything I've ever seen! However, if anyone can decipher it, it's me.
Less yammering and more figuring out, smarty pants! You did that.
Thanks.
Ego wishes he could help more.
Galactus will not be denied! Hey, Captain Cranium, hurry it up! You know, if I was leading the agents of S.
M.
A.
S.
H.
, you wouldn't even be in this predicament.
Sorry, did you say something? Weapons controls, now! Fine.
Here you go.
Oh, even Red's gotta approve of that popgun.
Yeah, but how is it supposed to stop Galactus from in here? It's not.
It's going to stop you.
- Run! - Take cover! A-bombs away! I knew we should have left Leader locked up, but no, you had a better idea.
Get him to help us.
I got another idea you're not gonna like.
We gotta save him.
Flame-face again? Why? - Because it's the right thing to do.
- Cover us! Skaar, cover! Sheesh.
You would protect me? Duh.
Fall back! That's the trouble with heroes.
Always acting so heroic.
Technology, on the other hand, is unfettered by emotion.
And while this tech is quite sophisticated, I'm sure I'll have it mastered by the time I reach Earth.
However, I simply can't leave until this show is over.
That device, so powerful.
He's charging it up to digest your planet.
Galactus, you can't do this.
Ego is a living being.
You know that.
Galactus knows only hunger.
Lo, the time to feed grows near.
It has begun.
Nothing can stop Galactus now.
My fate is sealed! The world devourer will consume Ego.
No, I won't let that happen! - Where are you going? - Getting you out of here.
Not much further, Ego.
We can make it.
Ego has grown too weak to go on.
I'm guessing once that planet-eater machine drills to your brain core, it'll turn on the b*mb.
Our only chance is to get you there first.
Where is everybody? Why am I doin' all the fightin' around here? Mortals, free me now.
I demand it! We just saved you.
Don't get greedy.
Well, what's the plan? We have a common enemy, and I am in your debt.
- I can control that weapon.
- Why didn't you say so? Like he said, he owes us.
Huh? What are you doing? He's Galactus' herald.
You can't trust him.
Trust this.
Make a move and you get smashed.
Not seein' green on Ego's surface.
You were foolish to trust me.
You arrogant jerk.
Take a look at this scan.
It proves what we said about Ego and the anti-matter b*mb planted in his brain core.
Speaking of which, I found Hulk.
He must be trying to stop the b*mb.
So you spoke the truth.
Master, forgive my intrusion.
You must cease your quest to feed.
Galactus, hear me! He's not answering.
What's wrong with him? He won't listen.
His hunger has grown too strong.
Maybe we can use your whole planet to fight off Galactus.
Gonna plug you back in.
No.
Too late.
Too weak.
Then plug me in.
What? Do it.
Skaar not see that coming.
But it is awesome! Planet Hulk, smash! No, mortal, your planet shan't defeat Galactus.
From now on, your name is "Lunch"! Galactus has lost too much energy.
- He's no match for planet Hulk.
- Whoa! Not so fast.
This time, you gotta trust us.
Destroying others is not our way.
Yeah, but it might be Galactus's way.
At last, Galactus feeds.
No! Galactus has triggered the b*mb.
Hulks, do something! Hulks, do something! You heard him.
Do something! - Like what? - You're too late.
The Kree's anti-matter device is destroying them all.
Take heart though.
Letting Galactus fall is in the galaxy's best interest.
Maybe, but that's not what Greenie would do.
There's all kind of weapons on this ship, and I got an idea how to use them to save everybody.
Gotta say, I was pretty surprised Red actually paid attention to Hulk.
Usually, he doesn't listen to anyone, unless he's talking to himself in a mirror.
Got our new target in your sights? Yes, and I have lowered the weapon's power level per your request.
Then fire away, soldier.
Not sure what just happened, but looks like you might have got your planet back.
You saved Ego, who owes you a great debt.
But how shall Ego ever repay you? How about giving me directions on how to get home? Accept my apologies, Master.
I was deceived by Ronan.
He sabotaged planet Ego to destroy you.
Fortunately, these mortals have saved you.
I am most impressed.
Me too.
But I'm not surprised.
You could have seen me destroyed.
That's not what Hulks do.
We don't destroy our enemies.
Hmm.
Such is your way.
Come, my herald.
The Kree will pay for this betrayal.
Their worlds will be devoured.
Wait! You owe me one, Galactus.
You promise, no more eating inhabited planets.
Not even the Kree's home world.
So be it For now.
For now? Great.
Thanks, Galactus.
'Cause we can't wait to see you again.
Farewell, Hulks.
A safe journey.
Your home lies in that direction.
Could you be more vague? Let's hope it gets us close to Earth.
I kind of hope it takes a while, just so Leader can get comfy in his new quarters.
Yeah, that creep is a lot of trouble.
Maybe we should have let Galactus eat him.
No, we're gonna need him to clear our names back on Earth.
Hey, Cuz? Picking up a transmission on all frequencies.
The threat of Galactus lives.
Saved by the Earthlings known as the Hulks.
For this crime, I, Ronan the accuser, judge them guilty And place a bounty on their heads.
Dead or alive.
Bounty? How much you think it's for? Bet you I'm worth the most.
So what are we gonna do, Hulk? We're gonna find a way home.
Just because you don't understand some form of life doesn't mean it has no value.
Live and let live, I say.
You got a problem with that? Come and get me.
Hulk out.
