01x07 - Uncle Longbeak/Surprise

Post by bunniefuu »

This is gonna be great! We're about to

meet the greatest explorer that ever

lived! Come on, you guys! Paddle faster

down there! Uncle Longbeak's just up

ahead! I hope his uncle's run the trip to

Breakwater Island. Flopper says he's

great! That's what worries me. Gosh,

Flopper, your uncle's done a lot, huh

He's done everything. Just wait till you

meet him.

Behind you! Snake

Neck! Gosh, they ate the log.

Zink, tell monsters go eat somewhere

else. I think we better be somewhere

else. Hang tight! Next up, Breakwater

Beach!

You're too slow. Scandal!

Go!

Stink! Lift me up!

Maybe I can help.

Gosh, I hope there's enough wind.

Way to go, guys! Go, go!

You made it safe and sound.

Safe?We're not doing that again.

Yeah, which means we're stuck here. It's

too dangerous to cross. Barney, Amber.

What if we can't go home?We will,

Shyler. Of course we will.

My uncle's gotten out a hundred scrapes.

He'll help us out. Don't worry. All we

have to do is find Unc. Why, I could tell

you some story.

Hello out there! Uncle

Longbeak!Gosh,

what if this alcohol isn't here?It means

we're lost, and I get first crack at

beating up Flapper. Hey, have I

ever let you down?

Fire flop! Run for it!

Shiloh, jump!

Thanks, Stink. We're not out of the swamp

yet, Shiler. Uncle Longby's faced the

fire swamps hundreds of times. It never

stopped him. He's the greatest at

overcoming a hot spot.

What would he do to get out of this mess?

Well, he'd fly out. Like this.

Cool. Thanks a lot, Flap.

But what about the rest of us?Don't

worry. I think I know what Unc would do.

Yeah, but what's Flap do?Watch!

Great idea, Flap! A bridge! Come

on!

Hovering!

Made it! Not a

moment too soon. Well, now let's go find

your uncle.

Hey, what's that?Uncle

Longbeak?That's Uncle Longbeak?

Unk, are you okay?Ah, Flapper,

my long-devoted nephew. What are you

doing here?Looking for you.

And I brought my friends. I told them all

about you, how you rescued the longnecked

ones and saved entire valleys from

danger. Flapper told

us everything. Believe me. He

says you're great. I am.

But I'm on my greatest adventure here on

this island. Really?What?WhatWhat

I'm after the great thorny nest, the

biggest discovery of all time. Wow.

What's a great thorny nest?The oldest

nest in Big Wing history. Finding old

relics is my specialty. Well, that's

great, but afterwards, could you help us

find a way off the island?Yeah, our

floaters sink and we're kind of stuck

here. After we've found the nest,

Longbeek the Magnificent will see you

safely home. Oh, Duddy, Duddy, Duddy.

Let's go, my boy. A

nest in here? How are we ever going to

find it?My dear, trust me. I've

uncovered dozens of lost nests. All we

have to do is find the marker stones.

Hey, Ugg, look at those stones.

Those are the markers. I think you're

supposed to pull them out. The nest must

be hidden behind them in the wall. Are

you sure those are them?Oh, I don't

worry. Now stand back. They're coming

loose. Uh-oh.

Cave in! Everybody out!

What happened? My boy, I pulled the

wrong stones. Gee, I thought

you had it figured out. No problem. I'm

sure that won't stop me from finding the

nest. It's here somewhere. Hey.

Why don't you let me help you look, Unc?

I don't think Uncle Longbeek's as great

as Flapper thinks he is. Figures. Looks

like Flat might be thinking that, too.

We've been at this forever. He'll never

find that nest. We'll never get off this

island. Gosh, so golly.

Maybe we'd better look for our own way

back home. What was that?

Firetop about to

blow! Ow, those thorns head. Thorns

from a firetop?Thorns raining down

from the sky! The thorny nest!

Uncle, are you sure about this?My

boy, don't stand around jawing. Follow me

to the great thorny nest!

There, what do you see below the pink?

Rocks. In an old dead bush. A pile of

junk couldn't really be the great thorny

nest, could it?I

did it! I found it! I knew I would!

I don't believe it! She found it! Maybe

we're saved! Now to claim my greatest

triumph!

Ow! Ow! Ow! Unk, are you

okay?minor

misjudgement, nephew, but I found it! The

great thorny nest! Yeah, but can you get

it down from here?Sure, naturally!

Whoa there! Uncle, let me handle this.

Yeah, you

did it! You did it!

That's it, my boy. You've certainly done

our big wing family proud. Why, you take

after your uncle. Yes, sir. Thanks.

Boy, I better not take after you.

Maybe we'll find this. Take Scott home

now. Me?Maybe you should ask

Flapper to help you. I don't think he

wants my help anymore. Great. Now what do

we do?I think I know a

way to get us home and give Flapper what

he came here for, an uncle to look up to.

OK, everybody, now here's what we'll do.

Flapper, Laylee, hear this. Uncle

Longbeaks found a way to send us home.

Yes?Well, you see, the great thorny nest

is made of wood, and...

wood floats. And you kind of...

That's it. Your friends should be able to

fit inside. Then, well, you

know, and...

Yeah, we float the nest comb. Now, what

about the snake nest?

If the snake necks come, uh.. they'll

find themselves eating,

uh.. ...Brambles! Uncle Longbeak, I was

wrong. You still are the greatest.

Cat, any sign of food in the forest?

No. No sign of bad snake nets either.

Snake nets! Stop!

Uncle Rodney, your plan's working!

Snape-necks can't eat the thorny nest!

Your friend are still gonna need help!

Look! Another splash like that'll sink

'em! You gotta do something! I

do?Uh, yeah, you're right, I do!

Nephew, watch carefully. I'm gonna pull

the greatest speed I've ever done. Didn't

you bet that I was cornered by 50 of them

things?

Introducing the Seaweed Pick Me Up!

Oh, I love rescuing.

What's he doing?

Wow! It's goodbye, Snicknick! And

good riddance, too! Hooray! Whoo-hoo!

Gee, Unk, just like I told him, you're

the greatest that ever lived. And you're

next in line to carry on that tradition,

nephew. Don't worry,will.

Scat, get scat! Not this time, Scat.

Darn!

Yay! We win!

Naturally, it's my team.

Nice kick, Amber. I slipped, OK?

No kidding. Can we change sides now?I

want to play on your team. Thanks a lot,

Dink. If you wanted a new partner, all

you had to do was ask. I never liked this

game anyway. Barney, Dink, you

made him be sad on a hatching day.

Oh, yeah. Today?

Yeah. I never forget hatching days.

Did you get her a gift?Uh,

no, not yet. I sort of

kind of forgot. I

know. I'll get her some bright flowers.

She likes those. Oh. What's

wrong, Shiloh?I already picked Amber a

nice bunch of flowers.

That's OK, Shiloh. I'll get Amber

a nice new seashell. She loves the sea.

Scott, get her ready. You get new

presents. In that case... Hmm..

Forget about getting the lily berries. I

plucked them. I'm

gonna get Amber the best gift of anybody.

If only I knew what that was.

So I don't know what to get her, Krusty.

Do you have any ideas?Well,

I remember the time I got a special gift

from my friend Daisy. It was 30

moons. No, maybe 40 moons ago.

Or was that my friend Blue Eyes?

Crusty, what did you get her?Uh,

well, it was, uh.. It was, uh..

Yes?A reflecting stone.

Haven't you heard of one?No! What

is it?Why, it's a very rare rock.

You look at it, and it shows you right

back. Wow!

That's it! That's perfect! Only problem

is, there's just one place to find them

reflecting stones. A dark, damp,

lonely cave behind the waterfall in

Waterfall Valley. No problem. I'll be

back in no time. Ah, Crusty,

where is Waterfall Valley? It's over the

Sunset Mountains, along the Trail of

No Return. Like I said,

no problem. Fat, don't tell anyone where

I've gone. I want Amber to be really

surprised. Sure, you can count on

me. My lips are sealed.

Great. Wish me luck.

No wonder they call this a trail of no

return.

Uh, snack. Tails off,

Buster. That tree belongs to me. King of

the long tails. Oh, tail

Cam. Just passing through. Oh, yeah?Ouch.

Oh, oh. Good one. Hey, what

was that for?You didn't say pretty

please! Yow!

I have to get by! Darn,

sticky flowers! Hey!

You almost landed on me! I'm sorry,

I didn't mean to, but that long tail

threw me! He's a real

meanie, isn't he?Yeah, dumb old

bully. He never lets me get any fruit,

even when I say pretty please. One day

I'm going to show him. Well, I've got to

get past him today. I'm on my way to find

a reflecting stone in Waterfall Valley.

Gee. But how how

are you going to get past him? With

your help, OK?Me?Oh, boy.

Me?Sure.

It's veryin here.

Believe me, I know. Are you ready?

Yes.

Hey, hey

Someone's gonna pay for this. Gonna pay

back!She doesn't look very

happy.

It's working!

Yum! I've been wanting to try one of

these for a long time. Let

me go!Help yourself. He isn't

going anywhere. I said let me go!

Not till you say pretty, please.

Never! You can just forget it. Whatever

you say. Bye, Tiny! Good luck,

Dink. I hope you find your reflecting

stone. So do I.

So do I.

Me sorry. Gosh, Dink is

awfully late, isn't he?

Yeah, and a*mo's been asking a lot of

questions, and I'm running out of

brilliant answers. Oh boy, here she

comes! So

Dink isn't here either. Well, I don't

care. Just 'cause he runs off on my...

my.. ah, forget it. Well,

I wouldn't worry, darling. Dink will be

getting back from...

Oh, what Crusty is trying to say is

Dinky's on his way back from a, uh, uh,

uh.. Swim.

Let's just say Dink will be back real

soon. Oh, he doesn't want me to know

where he is. Well, fine, I don't

care. I really don't. Oh,

Amber looks so sad.

Gosh, I hope Dink gets back soon.

Well, there's a cave, just like Crusty

said. Here goes nothing. Uh-oh!

Thanks, guys. Uh, could you drop me off

at the cave behind the waterfall?

Yay! Thanks a lot. But don't go too far,

'cause I'm gonna need a ride back.

I wonder what else is in here.

Hey,

that's me! It's a reflecting stone!

This is great! Amber's gonna

love this!

Maybe she'll let me borrow it once in a

while.

If I make it back before her hatching day

is over...

Okay, everyone! Hi! Here she comes!

Surprise! Happy Hatching Day! Happy

Hatching Day!

You remembered! Yeah, but I...

Well, I... I picked this... I

hope you like it...

Oh, Shyler, they're beautiful.

Here, Amber, look. Look for you.

Thank you, Scat. Open it. Open it!

Oh! Scat found it special for Amber. Go

ahead. Open again. Thank you. Uh,

I think I can only take one opening a

day. And I got you the best

Lilly berries. Boy, are they good.

Well, yes, I can see that. Don't I come

up with the best presents? You're right.

Thanks, Slap. Uh, is anyone else

coming?Dink's coming?

Sometime. Dink?Who cares about

Dink?I'd rather celebrate my hatching day

with my friends. My real friends.

Well, um, I guess I'd better tell you.

No, noI'm afraid it's

bad news. You see, Dink was a...

Well, the truth is, he was...

He was dragged off by a ferocious herd of

meat eaters. Yeah, that's it. Oh,

brother. Yes, Dink fought

bravely, but he was outnumbered. As he

was dragged off, Dink made us promise not

to tell you a thing until tomorrow. He

didn't want to ruin your hatching day.

Phooey, you're making that up. Dink's out

goofing around somewhere. I never want to

speak to him again. Never ever.

Don't say that, Amber. I'm your

friend! Oh, gosh! Oh,

golly, Dink! You're safe! How did you

get away?Well, it took me a

lot longer than I thought. But I brought

you an extra special present, Amber. Oh,

yeah?

Yeah, a reflecting stone. Happy hatching

day. It's me. I can see

myself. It's a wonderful present, Dee.

I'm sorry about this morning. Friends?

Me too. We're friends.
