01x14 - Jay Jay's Bad Dream

it was a peaceful night in Tarrytown

Stars sparkled like diamonds on a black

velvet sky all was quiet until

huh

[Music]

oh is that oh I must have had a bad

dream anything I never noticed before

how dark it is in here you know sleeping

alone in the dark can sometimes make

dreams seem so real and that's what JJ

was feeling no I'm wide awake maybe I

can sing myself back to sleep but JJ

couldn't go back to sleep because of his

bad dream he stayed up eyes wide open

until morning

[Music]

well good morning JJ looks like somebody

didn't get enough shut-eye okay if you

say so but if you want to tell me more

about that little dream of I'll be in

bye hang by bye JJ don't want to tell me

Jake about how bad my dream really was I

don't want him to think I'm afraid I'm

not even sure I want to tell my friends

about it they'll just think I'm being an

old scaredy playing that afternoon as

Tracy's zoomed through the skies trying

to see how fast she could go

I see it but I don't believe what's

wrong you always I guess maybe I didn't

get enough sleep last night I just had a

little bad dream

but it was nothing really

poor JJ didn't want to admit to his

friends or to Big Jake that his bad

dream made him feel afraid JJ don't have

another chance to catch up on your to

sleep tonight it's awful hard to look on

the bright side of things

my bedroom is so dark

[Music]

okay bedtime everybody good night and

sleep tight come on guys it's too early

to go to bed yet whenever Big Jake

what's the word bad in front of the

water the time that pretty much means

the day is over for this little

helicopter all right but if you snooze

you lose JJ what are you talking about

well if you go to sleep now you'll miss

out on the best game of

follow-the-leader in the entire history

of Tarrytown come on what do you say JJ

are you wanting to stay up because

you're worried about having another bad

I guess I am a little but staying up

really will be fun I promise guys well I

guess we could stay up a little while

longer

especially if it'll make you feel better

hurry you're the best

sometimes I feel like I just can't get

off the ground

just a little bit just a little bit just

a little bit I don't know what you might

be feeling but my friends

JJ was being the best leader ever and

following him was great fun but even the

best game ever can lose its charm if

it's played past one's bedtime see you

guys you have to play follow-the-leader

don't go to sleep maybe hurt he's got

the right idea maybe we should be

following the sleeper come on Tracey we

have lots more games to play

poor JJ he wasn't able to wake Tracy out

so like the good friend that he is he

gently pushed her into the hangar so

that she'd sleep comfortably

JJ finally decided to face bedtime all

alone what if I have another bad dream

suddenly JJ heard a noise outside and

I'm always glad to see you too

now what's this I heard you say about

sound and I didn't want to bother you

about it

JJ now listen I care about you very much

and when you really care about someone

it's never any bother to talk about the

things that bother them

besides being scared is nothing to be

ashamed of that's nothing but mr. ping

[Music]

so you see some bad dreams aren't as

scary when you know what causes maybe I

won't even have a bad dream anymore I've

got an idea

why don't I ask Brenda blue to install a

nightlight in here for you that always

helped me sleep better when I was a

young play

and remember the dreams come with a very

special promise they'll fade away when

you wake up in the morning okay if I

still feel a teensy bit scared once in a

while well you bet and whenever you feel

that way it's okay to tell me or any

other grown-up that cares about you

changing well I'm glad little buddy

the next morning when herky and Tracy

awoke JJ was missing they searched high

and low for him until there was JJ fast

asleep right next to big Jake's

protective wings

see how he smiled that's because even in

his sleep

JJ knew that he'd never have to face a

bad dream all by himself again
