- [Sam] Get ready for a "Game Changer!"

Tonight's guests, mother to Wetzel,

thrower of pretzels, it's Katie Marovitch!

[lively exuberant music]

His dom DM dealt critical damage,
it's Brennan Lee Mulligan!

- [Brennan] Hi! Hi, hi!

- Hello there.

- [Sam] And coiner of the
phrase, "Loop-de-loop,"

it's Raphael Chestang!

- [Brennan] Oh!
- [Katie] Ooh! [claps]

- Uppercut!

- And your host, me. I've
been here the whole time.

This is "Game Changer," the only game show

where the game changes every show.

I am your host, Sam Reich.

I am joined today by these
three lovely contestants.

Now, you all understand
how the game works.

- No.
- Sam, we don't.

- How could we?
- And you know we don't.

- We never. We do this
every time, we do not.

- You ask us every time and
we tell you we don't know.

- That's right, our players have no idea

what game it is they're about to play.

The only way to learn is by playing.

The only way to win is by learning,

and the only way to begin is by beginning,

so without further ado, let's begin.

Ash, if I could please
have the bingo board.

[warm upbeat music]
- Oh!

- [Brennan] Okay.

- [Katie] Oh my goodness.
- Ah! All right.

- Raph gets the blue,
Brennan gets the orange.

- Oh, yay! Thank you so much.

- Players, I assume you're
familiar with the rules of bingo.

I pull a ball.

If you have that corresponding
number on your bingo board,

you stamp it down.

But in this game, you're going
to have to earn your ba*ls.

Ash, if I could have
the bingo ba*ls, please.

- Oh, what a fun little hopper!

[Katie gasps excitedly]
- Lotto!

[cast laughing]

- Katie.
- Oh no.

- For a ball, do your best
impression of an old dog.

- Should I do it over there?
- Yeah, why don't you come...

- Raphael.
- We're setting a precedent

that will be established for
the whole game, so be aware.

[Katie moans dryly]
[Raph laughing]

[Katie groaning weakly]

- [Sam] This is oddly good.

- Whoa, dog has to pee.
- [Sam] Oh, oh!

- Oh no.
[Katie barks weakly]

That's a bad old dog.

[Katie whimpers pitifully]

- [Sam] Oh, it's getting a little-

- Raph!
- Okay.

- [Sam] It's getting sad.
- [Brennan] Raph!

- [Sam] It's getting sad.
- I'm sorry.

[Katie rawrs raspily]

- Jungle cat.
[Sam and Raph laughing]

[cast gasps]

- Katie, I'm gonna say that counts. Bravo.

- [Raph] It did.

- [Brennan] Bravo, bravo.
- Good performance!

Good eyes.
- Thank you.

- Let's draw your ball, Katie.
- Okay, perfect.

- When the ball is pulled,

do all of us look for it, or just Katie?

- All of you will look for it.

- Gotcha. Copy that.
- Okay.

[fan humming]
[ba*ls tapping]

- Ooh!

Oh!

- 71.

- Damn!

- Does anyone have 71?
- Yes!

- Oh, hey!

- [Brennan] Hey!

- Brennan.
- [Brennan] Yes.

- For a ball, list five qualities
you like about Mike Trapp.

- There has never been
an easier challenge.

Watch this.
- Wow.

- Nice!
- Watch what happens next.

The list of qualities I
love about Mike Trapp,

that's an endless list.

I'm gonna have to try to think of things

that come down from-
- Oh, come down from love.

- Mike Trapp, the reason I even work here.

- Fun fact.

- I started as the question
writer for "Um, Actually."

- Yeah.

- Mike Trapp, whenever he is exasperated,

he plays it for laughs every time.

- Yeah.
- [Sam] Love that.

- Number two, there is no amount of weird

Mike Trapp can be in an improv scenario

where he will not keep
on to why he's weird

and straight man something going on.

Like, "Yeah, I'm an evil
clown from the sewers,

but what the hell are you doing?"

- [Sam] Are you doing? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

- Perfect. Great every time.
- Yes.

- You know what I like about Mike Trapp?

Awesome host.
- So true.

- One time he threw a lovely little bash.

- Oh, I thought you meant game show host.

- Oh no, I mean like
literally at his house.

He put on a great spread,

and I really feel a kinship with him

because we both love complete taxonomies.

A fully fleshed-out category
which leaves nothing outside it

in which everything is sorted.

Is that five? How many is that?

- That's five.
- Okay. I could keep going.

- [Sam] Really well done, Brennan.

- Mike Trapp's the best!

- I say that deserves a ball.

- Yay!

- Oop, whoa!

- Does anyone have 33?

- You better not!
- No.

- How do you feel about
closest without going over?

- All that for nothing,
Brennan. I'm sorry.

It was a lovely tribute to Mike Trapp.

- It's okay.
- Wherever he is,

I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

- I'm not doing it for the ba*ls.

I'm doing it for correctly
answering the prompt.

I don't need a f*cking
gold star, baby, okay?

It's about doing it right.
- Oh, oh, points at camera,

addresses viewer.
- Wow, damn it.

- It's like if you do
your homework correctly

and the teacher gives you
a check, that's enough.

- There's a big study right
now about rewarding behavior

that people are already
seeking not being a good thing.

- Yes.
- If kids like drawing

and you start to give them
like, erasers and gifts

and gold stars for drawing,

they report higher levels
of stress when they draw.

- That's over 10 seconds.
- That's over 10 seconds.

- Rekha, you're next, right?
- It's me?

Chatty sexy jewelry.

- [Sam] Raph.
- [Raph] Yes!

- For a bingo ball, invent a dance called

the "Chatty Sexy Jewelry."
- Chatty Sexy Jewelry.

- [laughs] It's so stupid! It's so-

- [P.A.] Something's up with your mic.

- Oh.

- [P.A.] Can I just check and make sure

that's it's secure on there?
- [Sam] What would that dance

look like, Raph?
- [P.A.] Where is it?

- I don't know.
- Chatty and sexy.

Oh, it's jewelry. I see.
- [Sam] What is this?

- [Katie] I see it!
- [Sam] Who is this fancy man?

- [Brennan] Ooh.
- Put his hands on his hips.

- He's not gonna put
his hands on his hips.

He's not going to.
- [Lily] He's not.

- [Brennan] It's like a
kind of sped-up version

of an older Upper East Side lady.

- Put those hands on your hips!

- She's got so much jewelry on.

Gotta keep those wrists up. Yeah.

- [laughs] Incredible, my friend!

- Nothing I needed.

- Raph with some experience
with sexy jewelry, I might add.

- Oh, are you kidding?

Oh, oh, oh, oh, I forgot,
Sam! I forgot the sexy charm.

- He didn't wear the lucky necklace?

- What were you talking about?
- What?

- He's talking about
the vibrator necklace.

- Yeah, yeah, but what
were you talking about?

- No!
[Rekha screams]

- Screams!
[stamper clicks]

- You can stand in front
of the "Game Changer" sign

if that helps you out.

- I was gonna stand in front of this.

- We didn't bank on them all being crazy.

- But I think he's gonna
do it sarcastically

and there's gonna be-
- We didn't bank on them

wanting to win.
- I think there's gonna be

some anti-capitalist in there.

- He might do the "get in the comments."

- Everyone shut up! I gotta listen!

- Okay, how does Instagram work?

- I have no idea.
- [Sam] Oh! [laughs]

- Raph's hands are on his hips!

- Okay, we're going live.

Just wanted to come in here.
[clears throat pointedly]

[Sam cackling]

A lot of people have been saying

that Elon Musk is a...

singularly evil,

[Sam laughing]
wildly incompetent,

befuddled nepo baby
silver spoon m*therf*cker.

A guy born under literally
the wealth of apartheid,

one of the most evil systems of oppression

in the history of the planet.

People are saying that
there's no vision that he had

either for Tesla or for PayPal.

Companies can spend their entire
lives trying to get a piece

of nomenclature that is corporate IP brand

of like BAND-AID for bandages.

We were all saying tweet
and he got rid of that

and replaced it with post.

Some people are saying
that we're living in a time

where we are watching
maybe the biggest example

of why capitalism doesn't work

and why these billionaires
are actually often

the least deserving people you know.

- Get three bottles of water.

Offer each of them water
and then a fist bump after.

- If we get the fist bump,
then I only need one more.

- These are assholes that
got lucky at the casino,

and the entire wealth infrastructure
of corporate ownership

is in fact basically a fraud,

and these people are born on third base.

- Fist bumps P.A.
- Come on, do it, Trapp.

- [Brennan] And our digital public squares

are forever ruined by their horrible,

increasingly right-wing-
- Yeah, fist bumps P.A.

- [Brennan] Fascist ideologies.
This as*h*le in a back room-

- Wait, did Rekha fist bump?

- [Brennan] Sits on a f*cking board.

- Turns down P.A.

- What a true dyed-in-the-wool moron.

This is what people are saying.

Sometimes when you say true stuff...

[Raph laughing]

- Wait a second!
- Yeah, what's that?

- Defend?

- Oh, sorry, what's the prompt?

- [Sam] Defend Elon Musk!

- Elon Musk, if you're watching this,

make sure to get eight
hours of sleep every night

'cause otherwise you can
develop some cortisol levels

that are unhealthy.
- Okay, yeah.

- So, have I defended him from-

- Yes, yes.

- Great. Cool.
- [Sam] Absolutely, you have.

- I thought he'd say "Let me be clear"

or "1,000 percent" in there somewhere.

- We don't know our friends

the way we think we do.
- [Trapp] I know.

- They're not pull-string
dolls for our amusement!

- Well, if that's not
worth a bingo ball, my god.

- Yeah!
- Let's get it.

[Brennan cheers]

[fan humming]
[ba*ls tapping]

Come on.

- [Sam] Lucky number 69, anybody?

- Nice!
- [Sam] 69!

- That's not funny.
- No!

- It's not on here.
- It's not funny.

- [Katie] No.
- Raph, I'm looking at it.

[Raph laughing]

- I take everything back.
It's fantastic. [laughs]

- Sam, why am I not getting any?

[Raph chuckling]

Is this a big joke against
me? Is that what this is?

- [Sam] Absolutely not.

- Wow, Katie looked up,

and I felt like she looked right into me.

- That's guilt.
[Lily giggles]

You feel guilt.

- Raph.
- Yes,

that's my name.
- For a bingo ball,

comment your player intro
under Brennan's last post

in the style of a baby.

So whatever Brennan
posted last to Instagram,

I want you to comment your intro,

which I'll remind you is on your forehead.

- Which I can't see.
- It's, "The coiner

of the phrase loop-de-loop."
- Okay.

- Put that under Brennan's last post

in the style of a baby.

- If he says "whoop-de-whoop,"
that's not loop-de-loop.

- It counts, it counts, Lily.

Get outta here.
- It does not count.

- You know, really up
for interpretation here.

- Uh-huh.

- I mean, baby, toddler,
someone for whom writing is new.

- [gasps excitedly] I have an idea.

[Brennan laughs]
- Great.

- So my little baby niece.
- Yeah.

- She will sometimes
take a phone by accident.

- [Sam] Yes.
- Yes.

- And just sort of, whoo,
and then send it somehow

and you get a bunch of just sh*t, nothing.

- No, Katie, that's not
what we want! [laughs]

- But it's from a baby.
- Yeah.

- f*ck her up!
- [Sam] Oh, like a bunch

of like, emojis?
- [Katie] A bunch of stuff.

- f*ck her up, Katie!
- Just like letters and...

[Sam chuckles]
Sort of letters and...

- Those hands are creepy also.
- Maybe the only word

that a baby would even say

out of that phrase is "loop-de-loop."

[stamper clicks]
- sh*t!

- I'd love to know what you're gonna do.

- I'm gonna go with just
smashing a bunch of keys.

- And now at this point,
[Raph groans]

the baby's mom would take the phone away.

- Na na na na.
- Raph, no!

[Raph whining]
Not with Mommy's phone!

Not with Mommy's phone!
[Raph bawling]

Oh, cute! Cute!

- And then you posted it?
- I did.

- Okay, it's registering.

"H eccrc CV in by ehvvuntcrccjdvghjfghg,

crying, fire, crying, de."

[Raph laughing]
[Katie clapping]

- Way to go, Raphael.
- [Raph] That's me as a baby.

- Bingo ball in the works!
- [Katie] Yes!

- [Brennan] Whoo-hoo!
- [Raph] Yes!

- I think Lily's gonna get it on this one,

but let's get ready.

- Fingers crossed.
- Come on!

- [Katie] Come on.
- Come on, just...

- 63.

- 63.
- [Sam] 60-

[stamper clicks]

Oh, I heard it, Katie!
- Finally!

- There we go.

- [Sam] And Raph!
[stamper clicks]

- Sorry about that.

- [Sam] Wow!
- [Katie] Stop it.

- [Raph] We'll see what happens.

- Is the prank that I'm
sad? Is that what it is?

[Sam and Raph laughing]
Is that the bit?

Are we all laughing that
Katie Marovitch is sad?

- [Sam] Are you sad, Katie?

- [P.A.] Didn't she refer
to herself in third-person?

- Yes!
- Katie Marovitch, nice.

- I should be winning!

- But Katie, Brennan also only has three.

- Yeah, but I need this.

- Why, Katie? Why do you need this?

- I need money if we're
getting money. Are we?

Is this leading to money? [laughs]

- We are being compensated
no matter how this goes.

- That's true, that's true.
There's money involved.

- Wait, Sam said I only
get money if I win. What?

- That's Katie's deal
on every "Game Changer."

Katie gets a day rate if she wins.

- I've never been paid.

- You know, we don't
have very much time left

in this episode so I really hope

that one of you gets this soon, Katie.

- I'm starting to think
this is not winnable.

- [Sam] For a bingo ball...

- I think the prompt I
just came up for Katie

is a stroke of genius.

- Then that means it's bad, Lily.

- I think I'm an evil genius.
- [laughs] If you think it is.

I think you're crazy.

- Text your husband from Sam's phone

[Raph and Katie laughing]

and tell him how Katie's
doing a bad job at the game.

- Love it, love it!
- I will-

- I feel like you like this one.

- I will do this.

- [Sam] I feel like you like this one.

- [Katie] He'll find this very funny.

- Does Wolf have your phone in his phone?

- Definitely, definitely not.
- I can give it. It's-

- You can type it in.
- 64...

I want everyone to have it.

- Oh, she touched him! Did she say "Wolf?"

- No.
- No.

- Here, you go. Repeats or
fist bumps is good for you.

- I didn't get the first bump.

If she goes in for another
fist bump that's...

- She can collect the waters,

go in for the fist bump instead.

[Carolyn and Jess laughing]

- [tapping podium thoughtfully]
Something's going on.

- He's gonna start
speculating about the twist.

Come on, do it. You know you want to.

- There's more than this.

[Brennan tapping pensive clockwork rhythm]

- This is the noise that's
happening in my head

at all times.
[Sam laughing]

- [Jess] So you're gonna grab the waters,

go for a fist bump again,

and then make Rekha fist bump you twice.

Oh, this poor woman! [laughs]
I'm like, crawling in my skin.

- [P.A.] Psst.

- Uh, er, oh. [chuckles]

[Jess and Tao laughing]

- [P.A.] No, that wasn't perfect.

[Carolyn laughing]
[Jess shouts exuberantly]

- Oh my god! Oh my god!

Bingo! Bingo!
[triumphant music]

- [Carolyn] Let's go!

- Here you are.

- No, read it out loud, Katie!

- "Hey Wolf, it's Sam Reich.

I wanted to let you know
that Katie is in last place

on 'Game Changers'" with an S.

Little pet peeve of mine.

"A Dropout show I host."
So he doesn't know.

- He might know.
- [Raph] Yeah.

- "She also just asked if the
prank was 'making her sad.'"

[Raph laughing]

I really like how this
is unquestionably you.

- Why didn't you say your
husband's name, you harlot!

- I'll let you know if I
receive a response, Katie,

but in the meanwhile-
- Yes.

- That's a bingo ball!

- [Brennan] Let's do it.
- Yes!

[fan humming]
[ba*ls tapping]

- What do we feel about 58?

- Not great.
- [Raph] We hate it.

- One away.
- We hate it.

- [Katie] Not great.
- Well, that's too bad.

- What the hell is this?
What are we doing here?

- Brennan.
- It's so interesting

what's happening here
in this episode, Samuel.

- He's making us crazed.

- We've answered quite
a few of these prompts,

and you've just mentioned that
we're running out of time.

- Yes.
- Yeah.

- And yet I don't perceive
a sense of urgency

either in you as a host
or in any of the crew.

- That count for a mention of the crew?

- What's going on here?

- There's something at work
here which is rather sinister.

- I'm gonna say that's
speculating about the twist.

- [Sam] For a bingo ball,
show us your friend's tie.

- What?
- I want him to touch Sam.

- Oh.

[Brennan aggressively taps tie]

Nice.
[Trapp laughs]

- Oh, he's one away.
- Oh!

- Yeah, I mean, I gotta count
myself a friend of Brennan.

I think that works.

- I consider you a friend,

which makes the fact that
you're f*cking with me

all the more a betrayal!
[Sam laughing]

- Betrayal!

- That's a bingo ball.
- Yeah!

- What are we doing?

[fan humming]
[ba*ls tapping]

- 61, anybody?

- [Katie] I have it.
[Sam gasps]

- Oh, Katie!
- Katie has it,

and that's three in a row for Katie!

- Wow, Katie's about to win.
- Katie getting real close.

- Come on, Katie.

- Raph.
- Yeah.

- For a bingo ball.
- [Raph] Okay.

- [Sam] Make as many
personalized digs at Brennan

[Katie gasps dramatically]
as you can.

- Personalized digs at Brennan. You...

What was that called? Broggle f*ck!

What was that thing called?

- What?
- [Sam] Wow!

- [laughs] Baffles other players for sure.

- [Raph] Is it broggle?

- I believe you're looking for
balrog if I'm not mistaken.

- Balrog! [laughs]
- You balrog f*ck.

- Nothing you say is gonna be as hurtful

as you calling balrogs broggles.

[cast laughing]

- Whether that really
counts as personalized,

I don't know, Raph.

- Hurt me.
[Raph giggling]

- He wants it.
- [Katie] Hurt him.

- He's asking for it.
- [Brennan] Raph.

- Oh, you love Elon. We all just heard it!

- Yes!
- We all saw

how much you love Elon Musk.
- We all heard it.

- I need him to stay in
the public consciousness

so people can keep saying we look alike.

- [Sam] [laughs] Oh, oh!

- Say "Let me be clear!" [laughs]

- You don't speak Tatooane.

- What?
[Sam and Raph laughing]

- Tattooane.
- It's true. I've never heard-

- Are you trying to say Tatooine?

- Damn! [laughs] Tatooine.

- Which is, let me be clear, a planet.

- Let me be clear! Bingo!
- But you don't speak it.

- [Sam] And not a language?
[Lily and Rekha cheer]

- [Raph] That not a language on Tatooine?

- Well, they speak Galactic Basic,

but I'm not on "Um Actually" right now.

What am I doing?
[Sam laughing]

Tatooane. Just gotta try your best.

- That's a bingo ball!
- Yes!

- Come on.
- [Brennan] Come on.

- [Raph] Come on now. 68, 62.

- I'm due, I'm due.
- [Raph] Let's go.

- 26. Do I see 26?

- No.
- No.

- Nobody?
- Not from me.

- No. You know we don't have it.

- You knew that.

You're pretending.
- [Sam] Sorry, g*ng.

- [Katie] Look at you.
- What is happening?

- Well, players, that brings
us to the end of our game,

but unfortunately none of you got bingo.

That said, we do have a winner.

[Katie gasps excitedly]
Yeah!

- Hello, hello, hello.

- Welcome, players. [clapping]

- What is happening?

- So Trapp, could you do me a favor

and read your winning bingo line aloud?

- "Let me be clear."

- [Sam] It's number one.
- [Lily] In quotes.

- Monologue lasting over 10 seconds.

- g*dd*mn it! g*dd*mn it!
[cast laughing]

- Number three is, "Hell yeah!"

- [Sam] Yeah, of course it is.

- [Trapp] Number four is
anti-capitalist message.

[cast laughing]

- And what was number five?
- Of course the last one is,

touches Sam, your friend with a tie.

- And...
- [Raph] Yeah!

- The players in the green room

have been filling in the
blanks for these challenges.

- Katie, I'm so sorry.
- [Sam] The entire time.

- Wait, these prompts?

- [Sam] So all the fill in the blanks.

- Were us.
- Were us fill-

- Were from the players upstairs.

- Right.
- [Katie] Oh.

- That brings us to the end of our show.

Our winner tonight with bingo...

Jess Ross!

- g*dd*mn it!
- [Sam] Jess!

- What?
- Yes, yes!

- [Rekha] Wait a minute!

[cast shouting]

- Yes, come out. Come on out, come on out.

Yes!

[cast shouting and screaming excitedly]

- Inception noise, Inception
noise, Inception noise!

[lively exuberant music]
[Sam laughing]

- Jess, can you read
your winning bingo line?

- I can. I had "turns down P.A."

That was the first time
you didn't fist pump

when you were handed a glass of water.

[cast laughing]
[Sam clapping]

Then you did fist pump the P.A.

so I have that one.
- Okay.

- You screamed.
- Incredible.

- You whispered with the P.A.

when your mic pack was checked.

- Wow, a lot of P.A. stuff.

- And then you repeated something

when you double fist pumped the P.A.

- My god.
- I'm confused.

- All the P.A. checks were
all prompts from you guys?

- The P.A. is a plant.
- We Impractical Jokered.

[Lily screams]

- The wonderful Kaylin Mahoney

- [Tao] Incredible, incredible.

[cast cheering]

- [Sam] Brennan, are you okay?

- Say you're sweating a river

'cause then I can stamp that in my-

[cast laughing]

- I said it on mic just
before cameras were rolling.

- Jess Ross is our winner.
[cast cheers and claps]

You win this lovely gift basket.

- Oh, thank you.
- Ooh!

- A real bingo prize for a bingo winner.

- [Rekha] Okay.
- Oh!

- That does it for us
here at "Game Changer."

I am your host, Sam Reich,

wishing you luck down the
line and across the board.

Good night.

[warm triumphant music]

[warm triumphant music fades]
