04x03 - Noise Boys

Post by bunniefuu »

- Get ready for a "Game Changer",

tonight's guests, pointing
to people in the audience

like he knows them, it's Josh Ruben.

Waking up rolling out of bed,

and walking through his bathroom
door, into this game show,

it's Zac Oyama.

[Zac yawning loudly]

And someone who thinks
they're the host of the show,

it's Brennan Lee Mulligan.

- I have been here the whole time.

- And your host, me.

This is "Game Changer,"

the only game show, where
the game changes every show.

I am your host, Sam Reich,

I'm joined today by
these three noise boys.

Now, you all understand
how the game works?

[contestants agreeing in unison]

Then without further ado let's begin

by moving on to round 10.

The scores at the break,
were Josh with 39 points,

Zac with 42, and Brennan with 41.

- I'd like to say thank you

to Michael Winslow for the points.

I should say-

- Zac is in the lead,
thanks to, Michael Winslow.

- Thank you Michael.

[Sam sighing deeply]

- I just, sorry, it's so nice to be here,

it's been a hard year,

and maybe some things
will never be the same,

but at least there's this.

[Brennan laughing]

And, maybe that's enough.

- In the face of trauma,
do a thousand Batmans,

you know what I mean?

[contestants laughing]

- Josh, a creaky door
that gives life advice.

- No problem, ready?

[Josh imitating a creaking door]

Call your mom, start a 401[k],

contribute to a mutual
money market account.

- Knowing you well, that was
your mom and dad in a nutshell.

- That's exactly right.
- That's a point for Josh.

Zac?

The bass part in an a capella song,

where there's just not a lot of bass part.

[Josh and Brennan laughing]

- Yep.

[Sam laughing]

Nope.

[group laughing]

[Josh laughing]

Bye.

- What's the larger context of the song?

- Well, there's a lot of
agreement, a lot of disagreement,

and then they got to get out of there.

- That's a point for Zac.

Brennan, an Australian Spanish teacher.

- All right? So,

Hola...como estas...

No me gusta...

Pescado grande con muchos dientes

¡No me gusta!

- Shamefully Brennan,

I'm going to have to
take your word for it.

¿Cómo dice "shark" en Español?

- [Crew] Tiburón.
- Tiburón, gracias.

- Josh.

[Josh grunts]

A wereturkey.

- Oh, no problem.

[Josh groaning and hissing]

[Josh clucking like a feral turkey]

[group laughing]

[Josh grunting and clucking
like a feral turkey]

[Josh laughing]

And then when the moon goes down.

Oh, whoa! What happened last night?

Oh, feathers.

[Sam laughing]

- Works for me Josh, bravo.

Zac Oyama.
- Okay.

- A Bond villain gets painful hiccups.

- Mr. Bond, I have been following you

for your entire life. [Zac hiccups]

[group laughing]

What is that?

Sorry.

[Josh and Brennan laughing]

You have played right,
into my hand. [Zac hiccups]

Is there a little water here?

Could I get a little water?

- As someone with acid reflux,
that's exactly right Zac.

Point for you.

Brennan Lee Mulligan,

an auctioneer's existential crisis.

- From farmer Dan Patrick's lot,

this bull normally would
fetch $5.000 on open market,

can I get 1500, 1500 over here?

[Brennan speaking gibberish]

I'm not happy in my marriage,
not happy in my marriage.

[Brennan speaking gibberish]

Dad come on, come home dad.

[Brennan speaking gibberish]

In front of the whole school,
in front of the whole class,

everyone laughed at me.
[Brennan speaking gibberish]

Going once,

going once,

[group laughs]

if I say sold, then we all go home.

[Sam laughing]

But if I never say sold,

then, I stay in your mind's
eye, and I don't disappear.

going,

[Brennan choking]

sold.

- Brennan, that was like a one-act play

in a blackbox theater,
in downtown New York.

Gosh, you know, I think
for that performance,

we need to give you an
additional point Brennan,

which brings you par, with Zac.

- Okay?

- Daddy Winslow can't
keep you safe forever Zac.

- Okay, I'm going to
tell him you said that.

[Brennan laughing]

- Josh Ruben.
- Josh Sherman?

- Josh Sherman.
- Joshua Sherman.

- A different Josh comes
wandering out on stage.

Josh Ruben?
- Josh Sherman.

- The world's largest businessman.

- No problem.

Okay, we are going to,
[Josh inhaling deeply]

make that presentation, let
me just get out by briefcase.

[group laughing]

- [Brennan] Beefcase!

- Okay, so I brought my slideshow,

I'll be putting it up on the canvas.

So, as you guys can see,
without my services,

you will have a bad time.

[group laughing]

With my services,

you will have a good time.

[group laughing]

Thank you.

- Oh God, I'm crying.

Yeah Josh, that's a point
for sure, and you know what?

I think it's also two points.

- Oh thank goodness.

- The scores, as they have
been for four episodes,

are pretty tight.

Zac.
- Yeah.

- The tooth fairy f*ck
up the whole routine.

[Zac knocking]

- Give me your teeth.

[group laughing]

- Did you push the child?

- I pushed the child at the end.

- Zac, I will give you two points,

bringing you to 46.
- Okay.

- The last prompt of round
one, Brennan Mulligan.

Shakespeare's in-flight safety video.

- Prithee and well met thou tempestuous

witch of storms to a light,

so delicately upon the jet
streams, of the cerulean sky,

welcome to Spirit Airlines.

[group laughs]

Thou now beholdeth the Bard of Avon.

And behold, fixed to either side of you,

the ends of your safety belt.

Be ever so good as to connect
them at the joining place,

lest we crash into the mountain side,

and verily thou skull is split,

upon the dining tray before thee.

Also, thou shalt notice,
two emergency exits,

[group laughing]

Verily.

- I got to give credit,
where credit is due,

that's going to be two points for Brennan.

Players, it's time for the minigame.

[Brennan cheering]

Ash could you please
bring out, the trombones?

[trombone music playing]

Any band practice would help
you out, right about now.

Players, I'm not going to make this

overwhelmingly difficult for you.

We'll start with Brennan,
Brennan your sound is.

[trombone playing]

[Brennan playing the trombone]

Not bad,

not bad at all.
- What's up.

- Let's see what Zac has to
offer, Zac, as a reminder,

your sound is.

[trombone playing]

[Zac imitating a trombone]

[group laughing]

- I tried to pull the
thing, and it came in half.

- I think it's locked.

Oh, there's lock.

- So do I get that point or,

what's kinda the story, you know?

- That looks like an issue
of personal responsibility.

[group laughing]

Didn't help you much I'm afraid Zac.

- Do you ever wish, you
were somewhere else.

[group laughing]

- Josh Ruben, your sound, it'll
be familiar at this point.

[trombone playing]

- And one, two, three, four.

[Josh playing the trombone]

- Pretty impressive Josh,

I'd put you squarely in the middle,

but I'm afraid this point,
is going to go to Brennan.

- f*ck!

And one, two, three.

[group playing trombones]

[Sam sighs]

- We're now out of that minigame,

points headed into round two are,

Josh with 43, Zac with

Just edging out the competition.

Players in the spirit of collaboration,

Josh,

and Zac.
- Okay.

- The creepy twins from "The Shining"

asking if they can borrow the car.

Just a reminder that
these two, talk in unison.

- [Zac And Josh] Dad.

[Zac and Josh laughing]

Can we borrow the car?

Thank you.

[Sam laughing]

Where are the keys?

That's so early.

[Zac and Josh groaning]

- All right, I'll cut you off there.

Bravo, you two.

Incredible,

let's say, one point for each of you.

- Okay.

- Seems like two would have been-

- Two each, or?

- You were like, "Can
you do this impossible

telepathic one?"

And we went, "No problem."

And then we just got one
point, and we played twins,

and we didn't get two each.

- And it's just hard and it just sucks-

- I feel very good, with
the amount of points

that I've been awarded, and I
think that the system works.

- Why thank you Brennan,

it's always nice to feel appreciated.

- You got it.

- Zac and Brennan.

[Brennan hums in agreement]

A defendant stupidly interrupting

his lawyer's closing remarks.

- Ladies and gentlemen of the jury.

Over the past four days, you have seen,

the state's prosecutor, attempt to,

effectively bamboozle you

with a series of hearsay arguments,

and loose speculative evidence,

placing my client near
the scene of the crime,

during the time of the m*rder.

This evidence, does
nothing to indicate motive,

or means, in the horrific m*rder,

of Roger Bell.

Ultimately, it will be your decision,

to say, does this man deserve,

a lifetime in a federal penitentiary,

based on specious, inconclusive evidence.

You are tasked to consider the evidence,

and whether it proves,
beyond a reasonable doubt,

whether my client is guilty.

Is my client a perfect man? No.

- I k*lled him, yeah.

[group laughing]

- Your Honor, Your Honor.

- Did I f*ck up?
- What the f*ck are you doing?

- Did I f*ck up?
- Shut up! Don't say anything.

- You know, Zac you really
are a master of restraint.

Your role there was small,
but my God was it funny.

I'm going to say two
points for each of you.

Josh,
- Yeah.

- and Brennan.
- Oh!

- Two Scots that are so Scottish,

we can't understand them.

[Josh and Brennan speaking
gibberish in a Scottish accent]

[Josh and Brennan slobbering]

[Josh and Brennan speaking
gibberish in a Scottish accent]

[Josh and Brennan singing
gibberish in a Scottish accent]

[Josh and Brennan speaking
gibberish in a Scottish accent]

[Josh and Brennan speaking
gibberish in a Scottish accent]

- I am in debt.

[group laughing]

I am in serious debt.

I am in serious debt.

I don't have any money.

I am in serious debt.

[group laughing]

- Remember this,

debt or no,

[Brennan speaking gibberish
in a Scottish accent]

no man, may ever, square your bonnet.

I don't have money for you.
- Okay.

- I'm going to say,

because of that brilliant
breaking of the rules,

with "I'm in debt," two points for Josh.

[Josh gasping]

One point for Brennan.

Joshua,
- Huh.

- and Zachary.
- Okay.

- The classic video game, "Dad Fighter 2"

- No problem.

- Hi neighbor.

- Golf,

golf.

- Hi neighbor.

- Golf.

- Ow, my back.

- Golf.

- Ow, my back.

Honey, where are my keys?

- Turn that down.

- Fireball. [Zac imitating an expl*si*n]

[Josh screaming in agony]

- Oh my back!

Golf.

Golf.

[Sam laughing]

Last advice,

I'm not an ATM.

[group laughing]

- Brilliant, better than
anything on the SNES by a margin.

I'm going to say

two points for you,
- Wow, okay.

- One point for Josh.

- When I got on fire, I reacted to it.

[Sam laughing]

- Brennan and Zac.

Two zombies deciding
what to have for dinner.

[Zac growling like a zombie]

- We know what are going to get.

- But let's look around,
look at the options.

- It's a waste of time, because look,

there's a bunch of scared people,

running in the street,

we're gonna chase after 'em....

[descends into zombie gibberish]

[Zac growling like a zombie]

- When is the last time you had Italian?

[Sam laughs]

- When I was alive.

- Well that could be good you know?

There's this Dim Sum
place around the corner.

- What would you order
at the Dim Sum place?

- Brains.
- That's what I'm saying!

[group laughing]

- Incredible the two of you.
- Very good.

- Zac that was a hell of a zombie face,

almost as if you've
practiced that in the mirror.

- For the last year and a half.

[group laughing]

- I'm going to say two points for you,

one point for Brennan.

Our last go in round two,

Brennan and Josh.

God meets a fan boy.

- Oh!

Oh dude, dude.

- My child.

- Dude, yo! I was in the pews!

- Oh, I touched God.

Yo, can you just do this quick thing,

where you just kind of like,

when I point at you, you point at me,

and you are like,

you know what I mean?

And you just go like, "That's my dog."

- I am infinite, but I do
not have the most time.

Are we just looking in
the cloud over here?

- But like instead of that's my dog,

can you go, "That's my God."

- I'm sorry, I call you "my God?"

- I don't know, it's like
a cool thing for TikTok.

Ready? On one, two, three.

- [Both] That's my dog.

- That's my God.
- That's my dog.

- Oh, I just swore in front of-

- No, you're fine,

and for real?
- Yo?

- I accept every person,
exactly as they are.

You've got to relax.

[group laughing]

- Wow, I'll say, two points each

for the two of you as well.

Players, let me introduce you to someone

who I think you're probably familiar with,

can we bring out Finnegan?

[groovy instrumental music]

Oh hi Finn.

- Hi buddy.

- Finn is going to say a quick
hello to the contestants.

Hey Finn, hey bud, it's your dad.

Hey, hi.

Now, Finnegan was found in
a parking lot in Pasadena,

along with his mom, and his siblings.

And just like a lot of mutts,
he is incredibly smart.

String cheese is his
favorite thing in the world.

He knows how to do lots of tricks,

but the tricks require
not only string cheese,

but also a verbal command,
and a physical command.

I'll give you examples, touch.

Oh, he's a good boy.

Spin, sit, down, roll.

Good boy, touch.

[Finnegan barks]

Sit, and stay, very good.

I'm going to bring you
over here one at a time,

let's start with, Brennan.
- Okay.

- Pass over the cheese.

Brennan and Finnegan, stay.

- Hi Finnegan, that's
a good boy, good boy.

- Brennan your sound is.

[dog barks]

[Zac laughs]

- I'm going to give you
this whole thing of cheese

if you bark, one time.

I'm going to give you
this whole thing of cheese

you just got to bark
one time for me, okay?

[Brennan imitates a dog barking]

And then you do it.

[Sam laughing]

Oh, one second.

[Brennan snaps his fingers]

Go.

[Josh laughing]

- I don't think so Brennan.

I'm going to take this
cheese back from you,

stay bud, sit, stay.

Zac.
- Okay.

Hi Finnegan.

Got some string cheese for you.

Finnegan, I got the cheese, right?

And for us to be friends,
we need you to get loud.

Finnegan, express yourself.

[group laughs]

Speak, speak,

[Josh gasps]

Speak, speak,

[Finnegan barks]

- Yes.

[group cheering]

Bravo, good job Finn, and good job Zac.

- Josh.
- Oh yeah, great.

I'll just offer him the
cheese, and say speak.

It'll be great, right?

Hey, Finn! Speak!

[dog barks]

[group cheering]

Good boy.

Do I finish this?

- You can give that to me,
very well done players.

That's it for the
minigame, thanks Finnegan.

The points headed into round three,

Josh with 50.
- Unfair.

- Zac with 54, Brennan with 53.

Players, it's time for
all three of you to shine,

in syncopated harmony.

Josh, Zac, Brennan, your sound is,

a video call with shitty Wi-Fi.

[Josh imitating the Skype theme]

- Hey.
- Hey.

- Good to see you.

- Good to s- -ou -eyes.

- You're,

you're coming in a lit,

with the Wi-Fi something
like a problem that-

- McDonald's.

[Brennan imitating his
internet disconnecting]

[Zac imitating a beep]

Sister's house, without the,

[Josh and Zac speaking gibberish]

- Hello?

- Sister's house.

Oh, now it looks like both of our v-

[Brennan imitating the Skype theme]

- Get them back on the
call, am I the only one?

- Hey guys, hey sorry-

- You are voice only?

- I'm doing voice only
because of the Wi-Fi,

I'm trapped under a train.

- I honestly dropped off.

- Did you say you dropped under a tr-

- Is anyone?

- Should we re-- [Zac imitating a beep]

[Brennan imitating typing]

- Hello? I'm just going
to use the chat function.

[group laughs]

- That was a work of modern art.

It also gave me intense PTSD.

[Brennan laughs]

My God, all three of you, brilliant.

I hate doing this

because it essentially
has a neutralizing effect,

but three points across the board.

Josh, Zac, Brennan,

and the nominees for silliest
name of the year are,

one at a time, starting with Josh.

- Bubble Uh-oh Stinky Tinks.

- Shasta-

[Josh laughs]

- Starmp Brambling.

- And Shrimp Taco Daniels.

- Dr. Evelyn Lasagna.

[group laughs]

- Trarmp Number One Party Boy.

- Banana Pants Upside Down Dance Berg.

- A Javelin Made Out Of Leg Hair.

[group laughing]

- Roger A Picture Of A
Basketball Basketball.

[Sam laughs]

- All right, I'll cut
you off there, bravo.

Very silly names across the board.

I am going to say two points for Josh,

and one point for each of you.

Last prompt everyone.
- Oh my crumbs.

- Are we all ready at
the end of this episode?

Why can't I live here
forever, in a little house.

[Brennan laughs]

The angel and devil, on Zac's shoulders.

- I'm just trying to think,

what is the right thing to do? You know?

Should I buy a brand new Corvette?

- Save your money and donate
it as fast as you can,

to one of the many causes,

you know people are starving Zac,

you know people are starving.

You don't need a fancy Corvette.

- Yeah, you're right.

- The deviled egg on the window sill,

I don't know how long it's been there,

but you should eat that.

[Sam laughs]

- Zac, I think you should
listen to the good voice, me,

and not eat a big stinky egg-

- Who knows how long that's been there.

- Who knows how long, that's my guy.

- Dude, think about it.

Why would there be a deviled
egg on the window sill,

if you weren't supposed to eat it.

- That makes no sense.

Okay, so they're going
to spoil in a matter of,

I give it three hours,
if it were in the fridge.

- Dude, every second
you wait, it gets worse,

the safest thing is to
eat it now, fast and hard.

- Please don't eat a deviled egg

that's been sitting in the sun.

You are smarter than this.

- Smells bad.

- That means that the
sun has disinfected it.

- That means that the sun has infected it.

It is infested with the-

[Zac chewing on the egg]

Oh Zac, I'm so disappointed.

[Zac gagging]

- Oh, you threw up right away.

- But this is good, this is a lesson.

- You threw up so fast.

- Like a dog eating an onion,

or an avocado, what makes them sick?

- Eat that second deviled egg.

- Don't do that, why would
there be two on a windowsill?

You already had the experience of barfing

after the first one.
- Dude it's so wet,

it's ready to go.

[Sam laughing]

- Oh my God,

who would have thought it
would be a moral quandary

about eggs.

- The deviled egg on my shoulder.

[Sam laughs]

- Zac, I think it was your
choice to go for that second egg.

- That's fair.

- I am going to say, a point for Josh,

a point for Brennan,
and two points for Zac.

That brings us to the end of our game,

the points at the end, Josh with 56,

Brennan with 58,

and Zac with 60.

And because all good
things must come to an end,

the winner of Make Some Noise,

[Brennan gasps]

is Zac Oyama, Zac, I
would like to present you,

with the golden ear.

[epic instrumental music]

- Wow.

- Oh my-
- Thank you.

- That does it for us
here at "Game Changer,"

I am your host, Sam Reich,

reminding you to follow your bliss.

Even if that bliss is
three men in their thirties

doing noises at you for a half hour.

Goodnight.

[applause and epic instrumental music]
