But not just any beach, a beach on an island.

An island?

An island is a small piece of land

that's surrounded by water on all sides.

That's right!

Some islands are found in places that are cold,

and have penguins living on them!

Other islands are in warm places.

We call those tropical islands.

I went to an island.

I built a sand castle on the beach.

That sounds fun!

When I was on an island,

I saw sea turtles and starfish.

Oh! And even a whale!

(Mr. Grouper): Good point, Zooli.

Islands and the oceans around

them are filled with interesting animals.

When I go to an island, I like to kick back and relax.

I wear a lot of sunblock.

There were three of them: Sandy Island, Flower Island,

and Royal Island.

Everyone loved living on the islands

'cause there were so many fun things to do.

Maybe we should practice farther away from shore.

that can make really big waves?

The blue whale!

Yeah! Blue Whales have really big tails called flukes,

just like the one we saw!

So a blue whale must have made those waves!

what's been making those great big waves!

But we still need to figure out why.
