There’s Cherry Berry, the court jester,

playing catch with C Monster.

In the flower bed is F Monster,

helping Alice’s mom, Queen Scribble,

water her favorite flowers.

[chuckles]

And there’s Alice’s dad, King Wordy,

playing tennis with T Monster.

Yay, I win, I win!

Whew.

Look, Dad, the circus is here.

The circus? How wonderful.

The clowns are my favorite.

[laughs] They’re so funny.

We should all take a trip to the Big Top Circus.

Good idea. I’ll make an announcement.

[majestic music]

Ahem.

By royal decree, I’m taking everyone to the circus.

(all) Hooray!

Hmm, I think someone is missing.

Alice, dear, can you check that all the ABC Monsters are here?

Okay, Mom.

(narrator) And with a wave of Cherry Berry’s Jester’s Stick,

all the ABC Monsters line up in alphabetical order.

Where do we start looking?

Capital Town is a very big place.

Easy. We start with this.

(Alice) The clue says:

It’s the right color but the wrong shape.

This is a hard clue.

I haven’t seen anyone in a tall white hat all day.

The ABC book says he must be here somewhere.

(narrator) Hmm, can you see the man in the tall white hat?

Well done. You found him.

Colin the cook. That’s it.

The man in a tall white hat is a cook,

and "cook" is the word we were looking for.

C-o-o-k. Cook. It fits.

We’re looking for our friend C Monster.

Have you seen him?

Yes, I’ve seen him.

He’s the reason I closed my cafe today.

He bought all my tasty custard pies.

Now I haven’t got any to sell to my customers.

Oh, dear. Maybe we can help.

Okay, help me create a new recipe for my customers,

and I’ll give you a clue to help you find C Monster.

Maybe the ABC book can help us with a new recipe.

Chocolate ice cream, carrot cakes.

something important about Charlie.

and on the end of his legs, three, four.

And he’s hairy.

I’m supposed to be hairy.

I’m a chimp.

All chimpanzees have extra hands

so that we can climb trees and hang on to branches.

Oh, yes. The answer to the clue is chimp.

Someone hairy with four hands is a chimp.

Chimp is the word we were looking for.

C-h-i-m-p. Chimp.

That’s me, Charlie the chimp.

Why were you hiding up in the tree?

I’m lost. I’m from the circus.

But I wandered off, and I can’t find my way back.

Don’t worry, Charlie, we’ll help you get back home.

(narrator) It wasn’t long before Alice, Brian, and Cherry Berry

ran into another of their friends.

The gate is locked, and I can’t get in.

Hmm, that’s strange. I wonder why.

That’s exactly what C Monster said.

C Monster? Have you seen him today?

Yes, I told him the circus

had moved into the field for a few days.

C Monster got very excited and went to look for it.

Just walk to the end of the lane,

and you’ll find the circus.

(Alice) Clown is the final word we were looking for.

We solved all the puzzles...

And found C Monster.
