Post by bunniefuu »

- [Phil] Previously on "The Amazing Race."

- Today will be a doozy. - set out from

Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raced nearly , miles

to Johannesburg, South Africa.

- Careful. - Ray and Dina

took a terrifying fast forward.

- We're almost done, baby. - And b*at Rob and Amber

to the punch. - Right, yeah.

- Let's go, we're in trouble.

- [Phil] On the underground detour,

a devastating fall set Gretchen back.

- Oh. - Help us!

Oh god, Gretchen. - But the accident

didn't break her spirits.

- I've been wanting to facelift for a long time.

- [Phil] Uchenna and Joyce got emotional at an orphanage.

- Seeing those kids it definitely made me think

of my inability to have a child.

- Bruised and battered, Meredith and Gretchen finished last.

- The good news is you're both still in "The Amazing Race."

- Ah! - And had to start

the next leg.

I need you to hand over all your possessions.

- Oh my God. - With only their passports

and the clothes on their backs.

- [Gretchen] All we have are each other now.

- [Phil] Once in Botswana teams sped across

the African Bush. - Ooh!

- Don't break the car. - Whoa!

- Brian and Greg lost control. - Oh, come on.

Hey! [car crashing]

- Oh my God. Oh my God. - Lynn and Alex

stopped to help. - Are you all right?

- I was trying straight. - But Rob and Amber

drove right by. - There's no way

we're stopping. - That's just so typical

of their game. - Well, it's still

a competition, let's not get crazy.

- [Phil] Ray and Deana bickered at the detour.

- [Ray] We don't work as a team, that's the problem.

- You can do it yourself. - That's right, give up.

God, it's the person who's doing this with you.

- [Phil] While the brothers snuck in from behind.

- Kicking butt, baby, - Hey, this is awesome, G.

No passover. - And in the end,

- Get your seatbelt off, get your seatbelt off.

- Tough, tough. - Deana, come on!

- Dammit! - It was a footrace

to the finish. - Yeah!

- With Ray and Dina narrowly defeated.

Sorry to tell you, you both been eliminated from The Race.

- We deserve to be. - Now, six teams remain,

who will be eliminated next?

[upbeat music]

[upbeat music continues]

[upbeat music continues]

[upbeat music continues]

[upbeat music continues]

[upbeat music] [elephant trumpeting]

This is Botswana, an African nation that's home

to part of the Kalahari desert.

And at the edge of the Kalahari, the Makgadikgadi Pans.

This giant salt pan, reminiscent of the surface of the moon,

was the pit stop in a race around the world.

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

The six teams waiting here,

have no idea what's in store for them.

They have to figure out for themselves

how to get to the next yellow and red route marker

by solving clues they'll find in sealed envelopes.

Despite their first place finish,

will Ron and Kelly's relationship be able to withstand

the challenges ahead, and will brothers Brian and Greg

remain in last place, or will their determination

move them closer to the front of the pack?

Ron and Kelly, who were the first to arrive

will depart at : AM. [paper tearing]

- Drive yourselves to Sankuyo Village.

- [Phil] Teams must now drive miles

past the city of Maun and then drive miles

to Sankuyo Village.

The teams must find this water tower

to receive their next clue.

- Let's go. - Let's get it.

- [Kelly] Today I was reading the love chapter in the Bible

and I was substituting my name and the word for love.

And I was saying, Kelly is kind,

Kelly is patient, Kelly is forgiving.

And really, I was trying to read that

to think about how I was gonna treat Ron today.

You'll drive through the city of Maun.

- Honestly, I haven't given our relationship

a whole lot of thought on the race.

There's just not really a lot of time for thinking about it.

And we're not really arguing all that much.

It's just little spats here and there.

Go this way or what? - Let's just go this way.

- Okay. Roger that. - All right, there's a marker.

- Good. [paper tearing]

- Drive yourself to Sankuyo Village.

Your next clue is under the water tower.

- [Amber] Yep, go.

I think it's so great to be able to do this race,

but to be able to do it and really get along

and actually have a really good time.

That's just a blessing. - At this point,

the gloves are off and we're playing for ourself.

I mean, we have no friends left in this game.

It's just us and we're here together.

We're gonna do what we have to do to make sure

we don't get eliminated.

Botswana is beautiful, I mean,

I've never seen anything like this terrain in my life.

Just keep going straight, right?

- Yeah, I guess.

Is it a marker?

- Yeah. - Yeah. It's a marker.

- Good man. [paper tearing]

- Your next clue is under the water tower.

you'll have $ for this leg of the race.

- , okay. - Okay, great.

- It's good to have a little jog in the morning.

- Just a little.

- We're speechless to be here in Africa.

This has been an amazing experience.

My father is a native Nigerian,

but it's nothing like what it feels like

to put your feet on the soil

that your ancestors actually are from.

Leaving here, we just followed the route markers?

- Right. Here's a marker.

Straight ahead. [paper tearing]

Sankuyo Village, your next clue is under the water tower.

Let's go. - Let's go.

- Lynn and I play the game different

than I believe any of the other teams play the game.

I hear the other teams bicker a lot.

I hear they play the game more dirty.

We're good honest players, we're just sneaky.

Along the way the roads are marked.

- Yeah. - Yes.

- Okay, so I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled.

There's a little flag on the right.

- All right, good job.

[paper tearing] - What's in store

for us today? - Drive yourselves

to Sankuyo Village, right, let's go, babe.

- There we go. Thank heavens.

It's a miracle, it's just incredible

that we b*at some of the toughest competitors to get here.

So we figure anything can happen in this game,

that's for sure.

It's a beautiful morning to get started.

It's good to be alive and we're raring to go, ai!

- I haven't seen a marker, honey.

- Yeah. - This is nerveracking.

- Yeah, here is a marker.

- Oh, thank the Lord.

Okay. We're all right.

- You see you now, big bucks, big bucks, no whammies.

You have $ for this leg of the race.

- Let's go. - Let's do it too.

Brian and I feel pretty confident

that every team here is strong team,

but a team that's right in front of us

is Meredith and Gretchen and they're our closest competition

right now, we'd love to take them out today.

Hee haw. - We've got some ground

to catch up today, B.

- I know. - Let's do it.

- I've seen some fresh tracks. - Yeah.

I noticed those fresh tracks earlier.

Smell them. - Yeah.

Can see the dirt hasn't been settled very long.

The old wise Bushman from the other leg

taught me to read tracks.

Another sunrise, G. - Yep.

- Seen so many sunrises with you.

- It's amazing. - Yeah.

- [Greg] We should be dating.

- We gotta head towards Maun, so go left.

- Why the hell do you know that.

- I read it to you earlier. - Was I supposed to follow

the route marker though, right?

[upbeat music] [car buzzing]

- Have I gotten on your nerves, Ron?

- No, not all. Not a bit.

[upbeat music] [car buzzing]

- Pretty nice day here in Africa.

- It is nice. - It's only about

degrees today.

Get outta here. [Amber laughing]

- This is crazy. [laughs]

We're not like the normal animal crossing,

like everyone saw there's a deer where I am,

but too many ostriches.

I've always had ideas of things that I wanna do before I die

and go on an African safari is one of them.

- We're just trying to keep it all in our heads

and remember everything, 'cause we're just so lucky.

- We're the two luckiest people in the world.

- Okay, we're going directly west now.

So we're going in the right direction, that's a good thing.

- [Uchenna] Good job, honey.

- They are going slower than .

Okay. Let's pass them.

[Lynn and Alex laughing]

This would be exciting.

[horns blowing] - Yeah! Go go.

- Can I get over, honey? - Yes, you can get over.

African safari. - Lynn and Alex

just passed us. - And they zoomed right past,

like we're standing still.

- Oh my God, this is too cool.

Now. Should I go?

- Yeah. - Oh, thank you, cow cow.

- How now brown cow? [engine revving]

How now? - That was so great.

It's weird when there are animals crossing the road.

Oh good, thank you mister cow.

- [Joyce] Keep in the way and see what we're gonna do.

Don't be a little stupid cow.

[horn blowing] [cow mooing]

- Ha ha, that's funny.

- Is that what they call a water tower?

The clue is under the water tower.

Just go up here and make a circle around.

I hope this is the water tower.

I don't see any clue.

Oh, on Meredith, on your way to Sankuyo Village,

you will drive through the city of Maun.

On your way. - Oh, okay. I don't know.

- So this isn't the water tower.

Did we see a marker pointing this way?

- Gretchen, there is a marker right there.

- Oh okay, keep going straight.

Now, look up here at the signs.

Maun to the left, oh good.

Oh, thank God. - Water towers

are pretty big. - I know.

- There's a water tower. - Water tower right there.

- [Ron] Now this is real African safari four wheeling.

Oh, there's the clue right there.

Come on. Let's go.

Detour - Detour.

- A detour is a choice between two tasks.

Each with its own pros and cons.

In this detour teams have to choose

between two common village chores,

carry it or milk it.

In carry it, each team member has to balance

these three items on their head

and carry them to a cooking area

approximately yards away.

Teams may not use their hands to keep these items steady.

When all the items have been delivered,

they'll be handed their next clue.

The balancing act can be tough,

but teams that can master the technique could finish fast.

In milking, teams choose goats from this pen,

tie them up and then squeeze out enough milk

to fill a ounce cup to receive their next clue.

The task appears simple, but milking these goats

is not as easy as it looks and could take teams

a long time to finish. [goat bleating]

- Milk it? - Yeah. Let's milk it.

- Okay, I'm guessing in this direction.

Oh, there's the baskets.

I think we could probably do that.

- All right. - The goat thing

might take a while.

- We changed our mind to carrying it.

- You gotta put this on your head?

- Yeah. - Let's do the water

first, okay. - Okay.

- Whoa. - Where do we walk.

- Through this past?

- This is hard, Ron. - Well, the water's gonna take

a while. - Look at that.

- Ooh, ooh, Oh! [laughs]

- I can't even take a step.

- Stick it on your head and walk, you're the ballet girl.

Dang, this could take all day.

- I can't do it. - You do ballet.

You should know how to do this.

- I don't balance buckets on my head and do pirouettes.

- Do you want to go do the goat?

We need to decide something.

- I cannot do this. - Let's go milk a goat.

Miss ballet can't balance the bucket.

[water splashing] [engine revving]

- There's another team there. - We have to hurry.

- Up ahead, baby. Up ahead.

Carry it or milk it.

- I'm thinking maybe the goats.

- I think the goat too.

Milk a cup out of a goat. - This should be very amusing.

- Go to the water tower for your next clue.

Greg, this is a water tower. - I know.

- You gotta climb it, Greg? - Maybe.

Go up there and see.

Does it say climb it? - Doesn't say climb anything.

Your next clue under the water tower.

Under?

Where the heck is this clue?

- I'm climbing a water tower for no reason.

- Man, we are idiots, Greg.

Very, very frustrated right now.

This is pissing me off.

[upbeat music]

- That thing is dripping with water.

- It's a water tower. - It's the wrong one,

I guess.

Man, we are idiots, Greg.

I'm gonna read the clue.

On your way to Sankuyo Village,

you will drive through the city of Maun.

We gotta go to the city of Maun.

- Okay.

There's a sign right there.

- Yep. - To your left.

Who ever said Smith brothers had no sense of direction?

[goat bleating] - All right, let's do a goat.

- Go ahead, I'll walk them and you go.

Come on. - We need up to four goats.

- Here, can you do this one, I'll tie it?

- Dang, don't let go of him.

Goodness. - Don't move.

[goats bleating] Come up.

- Good boy. - Rob and Amber are here.

- [Ron] We're not real far ahead right now.

- When we make a decision at the beginning,

we need to stick with. - Shuus,

if you could just bounce a bucket on your head,

we wouldn't be doing this.

- [Amber] This is gonna take long.

- [Rob] Let's go do the other thing, okay?

Give me the corn.

- [Amber] How are they doing that?

Okay, Rob. I'm gonna go.

- Okay, it's all fun and games, right?

Baby, you're doing so good.

- There you go. - Are you kidding me?

- There you go. - Ah!

This is so hard.

All right, stop showing off, now.

- If you can't do it, tell me right now.

- Yeah, let's do the other one.

- We think we can do the goats a little bit better.

- Come on. Okay.

Come on. - Okay.

- Close the top, watch your horn, buddy.

Let's get another one.

- That other is faster.

- Honey, there's just no way I could do it.

- Come on, let's start milking.

You want to milk? - Yes.

- Where's the line, is it around?

- I guess so. [goat bleating]

- This is gonna take forever.

There you go.

- I love this car.

To be able to handle all this dirt and mud and sand.

And- - It's weird that people

have them in LA. - I know.

Why would you need one of these in LA?

- [Joyce] This is so great, look at his feathers.

- [Uchenna] We are definitely in Africa.

- The sign just said Maun.

- Do you just watch the animals?

If one darts out in front of us, we're in bad shape.

- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

- We're playing like dummies. - I know.

Hey, we can come back.

- We're just not gonna quit, we're not gonna give up.

- No way. - We're gonna kick some butt

today, how about that? - Nope.

[upbeat music] - Nice done, a lot.

[goat bleating]

I gotta turn a nipple in the noose.

- You're doing good.

The other one's jealous, he wants a turn.

- I'm getting as much as we can out of this first goat.

That's for sure, 'cause he's cooperating.

- There it is, there's the water tower right over there.

- There it is, right over there.

- Okay. - There's a water tower there.

- Okay, hold on. - Okay.

Detour, carry it or milk it. - We're gonna do the milking.

- Well milk, you know how to milk.

- How do you feel?

Balance? - Yeah sure.

- Let's carry it.

- Hey. - Don't spill it.

- You gotta stop him. - Do you want me to squeeze

any of it? - I want you to hold the goat.

That's all. [milk spurting]

- There you go.

Come on, come on, just a little more milk.

Baby, you've got the technique now.

Come on, big boy.

That's it, baby.

Here it comes, this is the best teat so far.

Good boy, the other team's here.

- Bah! [claps]

- They've been here a long time.

- Okay. - Let's go do the baskets.

- There's Meredith and Gretchen.

- Get a goat that's got some milk.

- Here's a goat that has nice big teats.

- You wanna take the water first,

or try it with the corn first?

- Corn. - Honey, I don't know

if we're gonna be able to do this.

- It's just like modeling.

- Let's do it, baby, come on.

Stay with your man. [whistles]

- Balance yourself. - Alex, I don't know, honey.

- Whoa. - Huh. Thank you.

Good job sweetie. There she goes.

And- - Thank you.

- Let's go. They got it, ready?

- Alex, let's go milk the goats.

I mean Uchenna and Joyce are like born to do that.

- Do you want me to squeeze?

- It isn't gonna help for you to squeeze.

'Cause I know how to do this.

- [Kelly] Ron's being the drill Sergeant.

He doesn't realize it, but he adds more frustration to me.

- You're doing so good, baby.

You want me to hold the cup? - Yeah, you hold the cup.

- It's okay, baby, you're doing awesome.

- You take one, I take the other.

Good. Woo.

- There are the boys. - Okay, hi goats.

Hello, goatie goat, no, no, no, no.

- Come on goatie. [goats bleating]

- Hey, stop it. Seriously.

- Just feel the water, sweetie, don't overcompensate.

Just make little adjustments.

- Honey, I'm way behind you. - Okay.

- So doozy you just go ahead.

- Concentrate on the bucket.

Don't worry about the other teams.

- We're almost done, got like a centimeter to go.

- It's good. It's good.

Where's the judge?

- A little bit under. - Little bit, little bit.

Do the same one, do the same one.

He was good. - Hold on, honey.

Hold on, hold on, I don't have a good grip.

- Okay? - Yeah, that's fine.

- Yeah man. Come on, babe.

- Drive yourselves along the marker

to the banks of Khwai River.

- [Phil] Teams must now drive themselves

miles through the bush to this point

along the Khwai River.

It is here that teams will find their next clue.

- All right, let's go, get in.

Let's go. - I would've liked

to have tried milking one, though.

- You could've got down there in the beginning and done it.

I wouldn't care.

I'd like to do the balancing water thing.

- [Kelly] Just get over it.

- Yeah, boss, come on, come on, come on over there.

- That's it. - Okay, cool.

Thank you. Right, right.

To the Khwai River, let's go.

- Rob and Amber finished.

- Let's go! [door banging]

Baby, you did good job milking that goat.

- Phew. - You just gotta pass

those two posts right there. - Go.

- Okay, you got it, you're here.

Take your time, pass the finish line, I'm past it.

- I'm past it. - You're past it.

Come on, this last one will be easy.

Let's do it the long way.

- Okay, go. - Okay.

Good job.

Very good. Look at that.

Almost there. - Whoa!

- And we're past, great.

Thank you. - Khwai River.

- Great. Let's go. - Cool.

Let's go. Thank you.

- Let's go baby, ladies first.

- [Joyce] I think we did good to make up some ground there.

That water did seem pretty impossible, didn't it?

- Well, the thing is, the village people

from my father's village do the same thing.

I've seen it a thousand times.

It's like, "Hey, my African roots are kicking in."

- Come on, baby.

- I have a whole new appreciation for goats cheese, yeah.

- Come on, sweetie.

We've almost got a full cup.

- Good old Gretchen. - Oh yeah.

- Yeah, that's good. - Take it, don't spill a drop.

Or I'll k*ll you. - Okay, it's fine.

- Okay. - Oh, good. Thank you.

- Don't spill it, that's wonderful milk.

- Alex, they're all done.

- Drive yourselves to the banks of the Khwai River.

Hon. - What?

- [Meredith] I don't know where the Khwai is.

- It's okay, they're gonna get lost, okay.

They're gonna do something stupid.

- Khwai River? - Khwai River?

- To the right, thank you. - Thank you.

Come on, Gretchen.

- Hey Alex. Come.

- How many gay guys does it take to milk a goat?

- Oh, give it to me.

Come on, oh my god, we're almost there.

Move away and see if it's full, baby.

That's the line.

- Yes. Whoa! - Thank you.

- Khwai River. Okay. - Okay. Let's go.

Let's go on the marsh road.

Where were the brothers? - I have no idea, babe.

- There it is. - Water tower.

- Detour. - We're milking.

- Let's go milk.

Good job, you're doing good.

- I need some Frosted Flakes or some Cheerios.

- This is just a beautiful place.

I mean all the wildlife and everything, it's really amazing.

- I think the difference between me and Rob,

and Ron and Kelly, is that that Rob and I use teamwork.

- Kelly didn't want to get her pretty little hands dirty.

I think, while my girl got in there and got the job done.

That is so beautiful. - Beautiful, little tiny ones.

- Wow. Talk about grace.

- She pointed over here, so keep going down the road.

- She pointed this way?

I don't think so. - Keep going.

- This was your choice, we haven't had a marker in so long.

- Oh, oh. - Oh, oh.

- Why are we stopping? [car stuttering]

- What's wrong? - The car is down.

We're screwed, unless we can get another car

out here and we can't stop, we need to go.

This sucks.

[upbeat music]

That sucked, it really did suck.

Here comes a replacement car. - Thank God.

- All right. Let's get back in the race.

- Good girl. Good girl.

- Whoa, making latte over here with some foam.

Got a little cappuccino- - Keep it going.

- Going over here, huh? - Man!

Almost there. - We're more than

three-fourths of the way done here.

- She has another utter too. - Yeah, you're coming through

in the clutch.

[upbeat music]

- Ah! - In the wild.

- Go slower, baby.

- Check it out, that is so cool.

Look how big that thing is. - Oh my gosh.

- Wow. - That's pretty cool.

There's the clue box. - There's the box.

All right, come on.

[upbeat music] [engine idling]

Here it is, here it is.

- Roadblock.

Roadblock.

- A roadblock is a task that only one person may perform.

In this roadblock one team member

has to navigate the team's vehicle

through this crocodile infested river crossing.

After that, they'll continue through the bush

to this area where the driver must choose a path

by removing the marking post.

The paths are blocked by trees knocked over by elephants

[elephant trumpeting] Here, each person must remove

two logs from the road and then drive to their next clue.

- It may be a driving thing.

- I'll do it. - Okay.

- You got it. - All right, I guess

I'm doing it, let's go. - Okay.

We're going across right here.

- [Kelly] All right, come on, baby.

[water splashing] - Whoa!

- [laughs] Yeah!

- [Kelly] Rob and Amber are back there.

- [Amber] Okay honey, we have to hurry.

Catch Ron and Kelly.

[water splashing] Wow! Oh my god!

- We made it, it's full of water, but we made it.

[upbeat music]

- Zebra! - Oh!

Cute, I love it. - Look at the Zebra.

- That is so cool. - And here's a clue.

- Cool, we gotta get out.

[paper ripping] It's a roadblock.

Who's ready for a real roadblock?

You are. [upbeat music]

Low gear, low gear, slow.

[water splashing] Slow.

- Wow! This is deep! - Slow. Slow.

[engine revving] [upbeat music]

Phew, Oh an ellie.

- Oh. - Isn't that fabulous?

- I'm happy now I got to see the elephant.

- I just saw a marker. - Oh good.

Oh the clue box. - There it is.

Right over there. - Okay.

- Who's ready for a real roadblock?

This has gotta be driving.

I'll take the driving, honey.

- Whoa! Here we go! [water splashing]

- Aah! Wow. - Unbelievable.

[upbeat music]

- Okay, focus on your driving.

You're doing great.

- There's a clue box, Alex, up ahead.

- Okay.

Who's ready for a real roadblock.

- I will. - You sure?

- I'll do it, you've done so many.

- Honey, if it's driving? - Drive your vehicle

across the river. - We can't change.

I have to do it. - All right.

- Dammit, I'm not a really good stick shift driver.

- Okay, babe, you can do it.

- There we go. - We are milking them.

Milk, milk, milk.

Nice, it's filled. - Good job.

That's good. Here we go.

Khwai River. - Okay.

- We did it.

We probably didn't lose too much ground there.

We're quitting, though.

[upbeat music]

- There is the flag. - Ugh! Thank the Lord.

All right, choose one path and then take the post out.

Choose the right path. - Let's go.

- [Amber] Okay, we have to remove the post.

- Yeah. [upbeat music]

- [Kelly] All right, come on back.

We gotta b*at them.

- [Amber] Come on, Rob! [upbeat music]

- [Kelly] Come on, Ron!

Hurry. Hurry. - Come on, come, come, come.

Now, what do you do, back up?

- Yeah. [upbeat music]

- [Amber] You're doing really good.

- He's got one. - Damn, he's good.

- Back up and go around it. - Good job, babe.

We're doing good.

[upbeat music]

Come on, babe. Come on, babe.

Come on, come on. [engine revving]

All right, go, go, go!

- One down. - Keep going. Keep going.

- [Kelly] Hurry Ron. Hurry Ron.

- [Ron] Shut up, I'm doing it as fast as I can.

- [Joyce] Once you've chosen a path, you must remove

the post marking that path. - Ah.

- [Joyce] Drive along the path till we get to the logs.

Oh wait, we've gotta get the ribbon.

- Oh, let me take it. - Take it, now we're good.

- All right, Ron and Kelly are behind us.

- Now you have to remove this one?

[upbeat music] [engine idling]

- [Amber] Keep going, keep going.

Baby, this one was made for you.

Back up. - Hurry. Hurry.

They passed us, you gotta catch up.

Oh my Lord, please help me. - Just stay there.

- Close enough. [grunts]

All right. - There you go, there you go.

There you go. There you go, pull.

- That was easy. - Yeah. Let's free this.

[engine revving] [upbeat music]

- Oh, giraffes. - Oh, a lot of them.

Be careful, Meredith. - Look at them go.

This is fabulous. - Oh my gosh.

- Alex, now put the clutch in. - Clutch in.

- Take the emergency brake off.

Put your foot on the brake and the clutch.

- Okay. - Put the gear into first.

And just go all the way through in first, baby.

Just keep going. Just keep going.

You're doing it. You're doing it.

You're doing it. - Whoa!

- Okay, fabulous, Alex, fabulous.

- Whoa! - Okay. Let's go.

- Wow! - Elephants!

Yes. - Do this.

We're going right to them. - No way.

Do they get mad and ram you?

Hey, what do I do now? - Oh, he's on the road.

He's on the road. [elephant trumpeting]

- Whoa! [laughs]

That was awesome. - He gave us a little pfft.

[upbeat music] - Good job, honey.

Good job.

There you go. Good job.

Get the clue. Can you see?

- Drive yourself to the next pit stop, Khwai River Lodge.

- Teams must now drive themselves nine miles

to the community of Khwai, located on the outskirts

of the Moremi Game Reserve in Northern Botswana.

Here teams must find the Khwai River Lodge.

This camp, Botswana's oldest safari lodge,

is the pit stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Let's go, get in. - Good job, baby.

- Ron, they got their clue, come on.

Kelly, chill for a minute.

- [Kelly] I have nothing to say to you now.

What you just said to me, is absolutely rude.

- Huh?

- Get yourself to the next pit stop.

- [Kelly] You need a new attitude.

- So what did I say to you?

I don't even know what I said. - You said, "Shut the F up."

To me. - No, I didn't.

- It's what you just said.

Yeah, you did. - No, I did not.

I really don't think I said, "Shut the F up."

- [Kelly] You've been acting like a jerk

to me all day to day.

You're a piece of trash, redneck.

- It should be good here. - Yep.

Curve it around.

Come on. There's a glue.

Yes. - All righty. Read it.

- Okay, drive yourselves to the next pit stop

at the Khwai River Lodge.

To the left. - Hop in and we're outta here.

- [Joyce] I don't see any teams close.

[upbeat music]

- There's a ribbon.

I think I've gotta remove that post.

Okay, this is the post.

- Can't push it with the car.

- Just give me a break here.

Cut me some slack. - Okay, honey.

[engine idling] [upbeat music]

- [Lynn] Oh my god, that's like, I don't even know.

Keep going, honey, give it gas.

You're doing great.

Watch up for that stick.

Honey, honey. - Okay.

- You gotta flat. - Wow.

- We can change it. - Oh my god.

Wow, this is a rough day.

- This roadblock better be a freaking manly stunt.

None of the sissy stuff.

They do this milk and cows and balance stuff on your head.

Both of those are for the little farmer ladies that do it.

- This road is windy, tough.

It's a little scary. - Oh my god.

- [Rob] What's on his back, a monkey?

Oh no, it's his tail. - It's his tail.

That is amazing. Oh my God.

- Ah ha, I think I've seen every animal in Africa today.

- We have.

- Let this be a record that I didn't point out

everything Ron did wrong today.

Ron pointed out everything I did wrong today.

- Oh my God. - So, let that be a record.

- Oh look, Joyce! - Oh my god, an elephant.

- Houston, we have an elephant.

Is that cool? - Yes, my god.

- Good. Go, go, go! - Man, this is hard.

- It's working. - Howdy how.

- Oh my God. - Oh awesome.

- It's another replacement vehicle.

- Oh my god. Thank god.

Okay. Let's go. - Oh my God.

- You're totally doing amazing.

All right. Perfect, perfect.

Okay, let's see if we can destroy this one.

- There we go, this is it right out.

- We're hoping to make this a foot right at the end,

'cause I think we can take them in a foot race.

- We've made it to the pit stop.

- Come on. I hear them.

This way, this way, this way, run.

- Yeah, there they go. - Come on. Come on, baby.

[upbeat music]

- Welcome to Khwai River, Botswana.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Rob and Amber, you're team number one.

- Yes. Good job, baby.

- You want good news? - Yeah!

- As the winners of this leg of the race,

you've won a trip for two from Travelocity

to the magnificent Le Meridien, Monte Carlo

in the French Riviera, including airfare,

helicopter transfer and a five night stay.

And you can enjoy that after the race.

- Whoa! - Congratulations.

- Good job. - Baby!

- Ron and Kelly, come on in. - Good job, guys.

- Good job, buddy. - Step on the mat.

Get our time.

- Ron and Kelly, you're team number two.

- That's great. - That's a real close run

for the first place today, huh?

- It was. - Yeah.

- Kelly and I are kind of starting to get

up under each other's skin, finally.

- Ron and I have argued too much on the race.

It's just hard right now to really feel close to him.

And so, I really just try to put the Lord first

and hope that that helps with Ron and my relationship.

- Here we go. Here we go. - It's the pit stop.

- All right, baby, let's go.

- Run this way. [upbeat music]

Ah, good to see you.

- Uchenna and Joyce. - Yes.

- You're the third team to arrive.

- Woo. - However,

you did not complete the roadblock correctly

and you need to go back and finish it

before I can check you in.

- We didn't finish it correctly?

- [Joyce] We gotta go all the way back.

- All the way back. - That's not good.

- That's not good at all.

What do we do wrong? - I don't know.

- That really sucks. - Oh my god.

This is not good, no. - That could be costly.

- Hell yeah, it'll be costly.

- Okay, read the roadblock one more time.

- Once you've chosen a path,

you must remove the post marking the path.

- I didn't take the freaking post out of the ground.

Man, that's a long ass way back.

- Well we just gotta hurry.

Everybody's gonna be there now.

Lord be with us, we need a blessing.

- Yeah. - Okay, here's the next one.

Here we go. - Come on, Meredith.

You're doing good, you're almost done.

- I see something ahead. - So get outside

and remove the post. - Okay, okay, okay.

- Okay, now's start in the car.

Go ahead babe. You're doing good.

You're doing good, give it some gas, give some gas,

make a sharper turn towards the tree and stop the car.

- All right, or stall, that's perfect.

You getting it? - Yeah.

- Okay, now let's get in the car, you're fine.

Now go, so you're doing good, you're doing good.

You did it.

- Okay, here it is.

Roadblock. - Roadblock.

- You've done three already, it's my turn.

- It's your turn, go. - Are we good?

- Go, keep it steady, keep it steady.

Go baby, go.

Go, go. [water sloshing]

Oh, that was easy. - That was fun.

- Yeah, you should be driving this whole time.

- [Joyce] Just gotta grab that damn post.

Okay, go to the left. - The post still sticking up?

- Yeah, this is it right here.

You got it. - Yeah. I got it.

- [Joyce] We got everything, we got our freaking post.

We got the flag, we're back on the path

and we remember how to get back to the pit stop.

- Doing a fine job. - Okay.

Once you've chosen a path, you must clear the logs enough

to get to proceed.

I don't see any more logs.

- One more time, alright.

Sure. Job, honey money. - Oh, my legs hurt.

- Ah, it's great to see you.

Hello. - Hello again.

- Okay, Phil please tell us good news.

- Uchenna and Joyce, you're team number three.

- Whoa! Team three! - Whoa!

- Africa!

- There's something up ahead, do you see it, Gretchen?

- There it is, there's parking here.

But honey, you know what, where's our clue?

- I didn't miss a clue here. - Yeah, I bet you did.

- Once you've cleared the path, drive to your next clue.

And that's what I've been doing.

Come on, Gretchen. - Well, where's our clue?

- I don't know.

- Meredith and Gretchen, you're the fourth team to arrive.

Now, how did you guys know how to come here?

- We just followed the markers.

- All right, well you need to go back and get your clue

and then I can check you in.

- Come on. Let's go.

We can do it. - Oh, for god sake.

- Don't be angry. - I'm not mad.

Just didn't read the clue. - Okay, Gretchen, my mistake.

We're not out of it yet.

Somebody else may have had the same problems.

- I think this is our last one.

And then our clues right up there, baby.

You're doing totally amazing.

Okay, baby, go, give it some more gas, more gas.

You're good, you're good, you're good.

Keep going, keep going, okay.

Now stop the car and get out and unlatch it.

- Let's go. - You're doing totally good.

Okay, now get the clue

and hopefully I'll be able to drive after this.

Please god, let us be going to a pit stop.

- Drive yourself to the next pit stop, Khwai River Lodge.

- That was awesome, seriously, Alex.

Even if we come in last place,

you did something that I know that was super hard for you.

- Get it, Gregory Michael, go move those logs.

See how it's strapped on and everything,

'cause you have to strap on the next one.

- It's connected. - Okay pull, let's see

what happens. - Oh yeah.

- Good job, keep on going and stop.

You did that okay.

One down. [upbeat music]

- I've never done something like this before.

- Yeah, it's cool. - I feel like a man.

- Okay, Khwai Lodge is this way.

- I didn't see the brothers. - Don't worry about it, honey.

Even if we're last and we have to get everything

taken away from us, we did our best and we're here.

And we may not be last.

- The new rule is that when it's a non elimination round,

not only is your money taken away,

but your bags are as well.

It doesn't say the last team will be eliminated.

- I know. - And for the last one

to survive, they only let us take what what's on our back.

- Oh, will you put on some of my clothes?

Will you put on underwear? Like it's a headband?

Oh my god, oh my god, we're here.

- Come on. - I'm coming.

- Lynn and Alex. - Yes.

- Your team number four. - What?

- Yes. - Whoa!

- And look at it, we put on all these clothes

'cause we thought- - Look, I thought we were

- We was gonna be last. - last, look, I layers.

- So he layered. - I said we were last, girl.

- I was gonna say, I got to put on my shorts.

- Fashion police is gonna arrest you here in Africa.

[contestants laughing]

- Come on, Greg, go! - That was cake.

- This is where I came, I remember it all a bit.

- See there's the markers down there, all right.

- I see them, hon. - There's the clues.

- Khwai Lodge, we know how to get there.

Come on, we've already been there once.

- Drive yourselves to the next pit stop, Khwai River Lodge.

Just hope it's not an elimination.

- Should we roll in in our freaking swimsuits and say,

"I dare to not eliminate us." - Yeah, let's do it, baby.

I'm gonna say, "Phil, I dare you not to eliminate us."

- I dare you. - Phil's gonna see us

and be like, "There's no way we can eliminate these guys."

That way they have to go through the rest of the race

wearing those goofy clothes. - We go in style.

If we can get non eliminated, that's awesome.

- And if it is over, we're gonna go on style.

And if it's not, we're going the rest of the race in style.

- You think we can finish the race out in these, Greg?

- Yeah. - Coming back this way

and I would have forked off. - Is there a road left?

- I'm looking, I'm looking. - We lost all of our markers.

Oh god, this is so frustrating.

- It's definitely not over though, man.

It's never over. - We don't quit, we can do it.

- Look, look, look. - What? Oh okay.

- This road's been traveled.

[upbeat music]

- Meredith and Gretchen. - Yes,

- You're team number five. - Oh my god, Meredith.

- You're the team that just can keep on going and going.

- We old Energizer bunnies.

[intense music]

- Welcome to Khwai River, Botswana.

- Thank you.

- Brian and Greg. - Yeah.

- You're the last team to arrive.

I'm sorry to tell you both been eliminated from the race.

- All right, at least we went out in style, brother.

- We knew it.

- Now, what's the idea behind this get up?

- Maybe if you saw us in these ridiculous outfits,

you might think, "You know what, maybe they-"

- They deserve to be still in the race.

- Yeah. - While I'd love to award you

some kind of fashion award, fortunately-

- It's quite all right. - Okay, let's take these off.

- Sorry to see you go, guys.

- Brian's my best friend, he's my big brother.

I couldn't imagine anybody else to do this race with.

It was a bonding experience for the two of us

that we'll never be able to experience again.

And we'll be able to look back and see it.

And remember all the good times we had.

- "The Amazing Race" was this crazy adventure

that I had the privilege of doing with my best friend,

and my kid brother, that I'll cherish

for the rest of my life. [soothing music]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Tomorrow night in a special episode of "The Amazing Race,"

go! - Ah!

- [Phil] Catch up on the first half of the season.

Through highlights, [horse neighing]

and never before seen footage.

- We'll tell them all the jump in the minute.

- [Phil] And next week, Ron and Kelly's bickering continues.

- Ron, come and stay with me.

- Let's get on the cycle, rickshaw and get moving.

- I disagree with that, Ron, but I'll go and do it.

- [Phil] And Meredith and Gretchen get a standing ovation.

[people cheering] - Blow some kisses.

- [Gretchen] Hi, everybody!

[upbeat music]

[upbeat music continues]
