-Phil Keoghan: Previously on "The Amazing Race"-- -Go!

teams started out from Chicago, Illinois,

and raced more than , miles to Shanghai, China.

Come on.

Some teams approached the race with humor.

Lori: I'm so cold my implants are frozen.

♪ New York Jews in Iceland ♪

Phil: But for some teams, the competition caused tempers to flare.

I don't know! I'm not reading the map!

When I find out, one of you I'm going to break in half!

Phil: Family members gained newfound respect for one another.

Kristy: I don't think there's one other girl in this race

that could be doing this. She's a trooper.

Gus: Hera and I became a lot closer,

and that bond is forged in steel.

-Phil: And unlikely adventures.-Look at her!

Don: She's one hell of a woman. I'm so proud of her.

Phil: Accomplished more than they dared to dream.

Yeah, Maria!

Phil: Along the way, teams fell by the wayside.

Avi and Joe-- Meredith and Maria--

Lena and Kristy-- Don and Mary Jean--

Gus and Hera-- Jonathan and Victoria--

Lori and Bolo, you've both been eliminated from the race.

Hayden and Aaron started strong--

-You're team number one. -Yeah!

Then stumbled.[groans]

Aaron: This is stupid! I can't ski.

And the relationship became strained.

Aaron, you need to do something. I'm going to hyperventilate.

-You are such a---No, I'm not a bitch

Phil: But their genuine love for each other

-Nice job.-And their determination--

Hayden: You've got to get over your fears,

and the only way to do it is by doing them.

Phil: Helped propel them into the final .

-Whoo!-Yes!

Phil: Kris and Jon built their game on a foundation of solid teamwork.

Kris: Thank you for being so strong, baby.

Phil: And used their consistently positive attitudes--

Watch your sides, babe.

Nice job, babe.

Phil: To carry them into the final .

All right!

It's third-world Hell.

Phil: Freddy and Kendra were slammed by culture shock.

This city is wretched and disgusting.

And they just keep breeding and breeding!

Phil: But their confidence--

Run. We can outrun those two.

-All right, baby-Phil: And athleticism--

Kendra: Whoo, lookin' cute, baby, you're almost there.

Has launched them--

[shrieking]

-Into the finals.-Whoo!

Adam and Rebecca had relationship problems from the start.

I'm never going to talk to you for the rest of my life.

Rebecca: Our relationship is so bad.

Phil: And Adam's fear of almost everything he encountered...

No! No, no, no!

Repeatedly jeopardized their standing in the race.

Staying in this game hangs in the balance right now. It's all up to him.

Phil: And a strategic decision--

We are at the yield, and we choose to yield Freddy and Kendra.

Phil: Came back to haunt them.

Well, we're yielded. Thanks, Freddy.

Phil: And nearly cost them the race.

This is a non-elimination leg.

-Whoo-hoo!-You are still in the race.

Tonight, on a special -hour season finale,

one team will fall victim to the final elimination,

and one of these teams

will win "The Amazing Race".

Phil: This is Shanghai, the largest city in China.

Located at the mouth of the Yangtze River,

it's a bustling metropolis of more than million people,

and in the center of Shanghai,

the Peace Hotel South.

This was the th pit stop in a race around the world.

Adam and Rebecca, who arrived last,

were not eliminated because this pit stop

was the last of predetermined non-elimination spots.

But they were stripped of all money they had accumulated

since the start of the race

and they will not receive any money

at all for the coming leg.

Will Adam and Rebecca be defeated by this obstacle,

or will their determination enable them

to b*at the odds and stay in the race?

Will Hayden and Aaron continue to finish at the top of the pack,

and advance to the final ?

Hayden and Aaron, who were first to arrive at : A.M.,

will depart at : P.M.

"Travel by train to the Chinese city of Xi'an."

Phil: Teams must now travel miles by train

to Xi'an, one of China's oldest cities.

Once there, teams will take a taxi

to the drum tower to find their next clue.

Let's go.

Hayden: Aaron and I are leaving the mat first today,

and we're feeling really excited about what's to come.

With Aaron and my cohesiveness

and ability to work as a team that got us in first.

It feels like we're that much closer

to being able to ride this whole thing out

and winning the whole shebang.

Taxi!

Aaron: Shanghai train station.

"Travel by train to the Chinese city of Xi-an."

-All right! -Moolah!

Let's go.

I've seen Kendra grow on this trip.

And with all that we've accomplished together,

I'm hoping she is going to feel very comfortable

with our life together.

Let's get a taxi.

All right, let's go. Taxi.

To the train station?

Nice.

"Travel by train to the Chinese city of Xi'an."

Let's go.

The last leg, we didn't have a great day in Shanghai.

We had some trouble with the translation in the cabs.

We're ready to get on with the next leg

and hopefully start a new chapter.

Let's do it.

Hayden: That's it, honey.

Bye-bye.

Aaron, come on.

We need tickets to Xi'an.

How long is this gonna take, do you think?

Oh, my God.

When does it leave?

-At :. -Oh, :.

Freddy: Come on, honey.

We've got to go this way.

That's the exit, honey. Read "Exit."

We're going down there, "Entrance."

Kendra and I are both emotional.

I'm a little more aggressive,

and sometimes I think that offends Kendra.

I'm just seeking answers immediately.

Where are you going?

Keep it up.

Excuse me, tickets to Xi'an.

-This is the only train?-Yes.

Thank you very much.

-I'm not mean.-But you look cute.

You were giving me attitude.

I'm sorry. Would you accept my apology?

OK.

Should I count the money?

" teams have $ for this leg of the race.

One team has zero." that would be us.

Oh, that's us.

All right, let's do it.

Freddy and Kendra made a mistake,

by yielding Rebecca and I,

they made us stronger. They brought us together,

and we're definitely not giving up.

We have to get to the train station.

Is there any way you all can just donate a little money?

Thank you very much.

Rebecca is adorable and she asks all sweet,

and it's like, how do you refuse? She's pretty awesome at that.

Oh, thank you very much. Thank you.

Is there any way you could donate a little bit of money?

- U.S. -How much?

,.

We need to go to the Shanghai train station.

Oh, OK.

I was thinking maybe of moving to Shanghai

and just begging on the streets.

-'cause it's very lucrative.-Let's go.

Jon: OK, right here is good.

-Here? -Yeah.

We need train tickets to Xi'an.

All righty.

-Thank you.-Thank you.

Rebecca: Shanghai train station.

-Train to Xi'an.-Yes.

We need tickets.

Thank you, let's go.

Here we go.

Kendra is pleased with the bed.

Whoo-hoo!

Thank you.

Thank you.

OK.

I'm stepping on his head.

-No, honey! Look, ladder, ladder-Oh, ladder.

Hayden: Hi! What's that? What's this?

Hayden, come here.

Whoo!

-Oh, I scared him.-Hayden!

Do you mean we get blankets and everything?

I was so skeptical.

It's very cozy.

I think the only thing Jon was worried about

was like if I was like Ms. Miserable,

and then I was like a raging bitch.

Your raging bitch is like her on, like, a really nice day.

[Laughter]

[Train horn honks]

Phil: Teams are now traveling hours by train

to the ancient Chinese city of Xi'an.

Aaron, come on.

-Do we need a taxi? -Yeah.

Drum tower. You know?

-Yeah, yeah, yeah.-OK, let's go.

Over here? OK.

We have to go to Drum tower.

She knows where? She's a good driver.

-OK, let's go.-I don't know.

Are you worried we're not going the right way?

Where is Drum tower?

That's funny. Where is it?

OK.

Kris: Our taxi driver is kind of funny.

I think he might be on something special, I'm not sure.

Yeah, a lot of green tea.

What about this guy, honey?

Oh, honey, come on.

Do you know where that is? OK?

All right, let's go.

-Rebecca: Is it there?-Driver: Yeah.

OK, this is it right here.

-Get out?-Where do we go?

-This way? -OK.

This way, Adam.

-Hey. -Rebecca: What up?

So this is it.

: A.M.

Right there.

What time is it?

It's :.

Jon: Is this the Drum tower?

-Thanks.-This is it, right here.

Kendra: Drum tower?

Freddy: Here?

All right, let's go. Eight to ten.

-Let's go!-Let's go, babe.

Walk briskly, no running.

Come on, baby.

-Aaron, Come on!-Go, go.

Freddy: There's the clue box, baby.

Go, baby, go!

Go, go, go, go!

Come on, Adam.

Detour: spray or scroll.

Phil: A detour is a choice between tasks,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this detour, teams have to choose between spray and scroll.

In spray, teams travel approximately

miles to this car factory,

put on uniforms and spray the entire shell

of a locally made car known as a flier.

Teams may have difficulty finding the factory,

but once there,

painting the car requires little skill

and they should finish quickly.

In scroll, teams make their way

more than miles to this textile factory.

Once they arrive, teams will search through

bolts of fabric using a light table

to search for chinese characters

stamped somewhere within of the bolts.

When they find both of them,

they'll need to cut them out

and trade them for their next clue.

The factory is closer, but if teams don't have keen eyes,

searching the bolts of fabric could take a long time.

-Let's go.-Come on.

-Let's go, Rebecca.-Go, baby, go.

-Do you want to paint the car? -All right.

It's in our control and we can get that done faster.

What do you want to do, spray?

Yeah. Come on, baby.

I think car.

You think car? All right, let's do car.

Baby, what are we doing?

-Paint the car.-All right.

Taxi?

-Back to the street, baby?-Yeah.

Taxi.

Taxi, taxi!

Taxi?

Nice. Thanks, guys.

Sorry.

God. I can't believe this!

They weren't anywhere near the cab.

-I know. -There's going to be plenty

more of that, because there aren't many teams left.

That's true.

-Grab a taxi.-Taxi.

-We got 'em. -Damn!

-Scootch in.-Rebecca, come on!

I have a feeling today is going to be a test of wills.

Taxi.

Go, go, go, go!

Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!

Taxi!

We were kinda out and ahead of everybody,

and as cabs were rolling up to us,

we kind of got snaked by everyone on them.

We're stopped in the middle of traffic.

We're not going anywhere.

Damn it!

So let me just tell you now,

so you don't start screaming at me up there,

I want you to throw on that uniform as fast as you possibly can.

Don't worry about anything else.

Hayden: Why can't we see any of the other teams?

They were not that far in front of us.

They're not even on the same road!

I swear we're getting taken on a goose chase.

Aaron, I need you to get a little bit excited right now,

because I'm getting upset.

And I need you to do something about it.

Do you not care?

We're at the mercy of this cab driver.

So we have to have faith that he knows where he's going.

We have no idea where we're heading to.

So we're at the mercy of the cab driver once again.

Kris: Very fast, please.

This is it. Come on.

We'll be back. Fourth floor,

that way. Marked entrance.

Ooh, this has my name on it!

We're just gonna slop it on.

All right, we just gotta be messy.

Painting station. This is hot.

You look great, Adam.

We have to paint this one? Paint this car?

OK, OK.

OK, OK. Wait here. Oh, Aaron, come!

Go, go, go.

Aaron, come on.

Come on, baby.

Freddy: That has to be it.

Kendra: Here we go.

Jon: There it is.

-Over here? -OK, let's go, babe.

Right here? Huh?

-Is this it?-The flagged door.

Come on, babe.

Honey, come on. This way.

-Go, go, go, go.-Honey.

Oh, my God, they're already here?

Babe...

I can't believe this.

Damn it, how the hell did they already get here?

Just go, put it on. Put it on.

Don't you think that's what I'm trying to do?

Come on, hurry.

OK?

OK, check. Yes? Good. Adam, quickly!

Thank you!

"Make your way to Terra Cotta Warriors Museum."

Phil: Teams must now travel miles

to the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum.

This museum houses an army made of clay

nearly , figures strong.

They were built to guard the burial site of China's first emperor

and weren't discovered until .

This terra cotta army is considered

the greatest archaeological discovery of the th century,

and teams will find their next clue here.

Let's go.

Yeah, come on!

They're in our dust. What up!

We are in the lead. I was shocked

to see Aaron and Hayden walk in.

I was like, "How did we b*at them? We never b*at them."

It's a good feeling to be in first

because we don't normally know what this feeling is.

You did so good! I'm so proud of you.

Come on, baby.

Is that good?

OK?

Will you give us the clue?

What--what?

Aaron!

He's getting the clue. Just relax.

"Search for your next clue in pit number one."

Come on, Aaron.

Aaron, come on.

Fast, fast, fast, fast.

We're fairly close to Rebecca and Adam.

We're feeling pretty good about our chances.

[Horn honks]

What is he stopping for?[Speaking Chinese]

We have no idea why we're stopped, or what is going on.

We're flying. The one time we get a lead, one time. And what happens?

-This is bad luck.-Very bad luck.

We had a -minute lead, now we have no lead.

Damn it!

Damn it! Traffic-- police guy, he stopped

-the whole road.-Aaron and Hayden

are probably somewhere at the back of the traffic.

Either they're in the back of the traffic or they went a different way.

Show him this again.

[Speaking Chinese]

Are you sure?

We've been driving around for minutes.

There's no sense in freaking out.

I think we're going the wrong way.

This isn't a freakin' little leisurely stroll.

This is worth $ million.

Whoo-hoo!

Kendra: Damn it!

We're last. Let's go.

"Make your way to the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum."

-Hurry! -OK!

-Terra Cotta Warriors Museum.-Hurry, fast.

Aaron and Hayden and Rebecca and Adam, all,

they were almost completely done by the time we got there.

I don't understand why our taxi cab drivers

take so long to get places.

We're just ho-humming around the streets, to do do do,

like we have nothing to do.

Whoo!

"Make your way to the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum."

I got your bag, go.

Taxi! Yeah.

Give him the clue. Give him the clue.

All right. Right here? OK?

Does he know where we're going?

He nodded. I wish we had someone else.

Come on, we need to go, go, go.

-Fast, fast!-Fast! Emergency, emergency!

Now, now, please.

Adam and Rebecca are doing really well right now.

They're ahead of us.

This isn't good. We have to go around.

You've got to pass all those people.

Fast, fast, fast, fast!

Whoo-hoo!

Hey, hey!

Hey, hey, look!

-Go, go, go, go! -Damn it!

Get in front of them.

Good job, man.

We have to keep this little bit of a lead.

It's all right, we'll make it up, we'll make it up.

Honey, make him go.

Go fast, fast please. Hurry, hurry.

How fast is he going? Buses are passing us.

Go! Come on!

Freddy: This can't be right.

He doesn't know where it is. He's totally lost.

Why does he look like he knows then

when we give him the paper?

This guy's k*lling us.

This is it, right here.

Let's just go this way.

OK.

-Let's go!-Come, come, come.

-Come on.-Adam, let's go.

We just want pit number one.

-Yeah.-You show us.

Give me the money.

Pit number one? Pit number one?

How are we going to get through, babe?

-I don't know.-Hurry up, Rebecca!

- tickets.- tickets.

-Thank you.-Thank you.

-Come on!-Adam, Adam.

We have to get tickets.

-You pay over here.-Adam!

No, you pay at the window.

Get it, get it, get it. Quickly!

Excuse me, I need tickets, pit number one.

Go, come on.

This is it right here.

Pit number one.

Let's look at it from up here first.

-Oh, my God.-Look at this! Look around.

It's unbelievable.

Do you see any flags?

Come on, babe.

Let's go. Come on.

-Adam, wait for me.-I see it.

Come on, come on.

Yes! Good work, good work.

Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.

Let's get away from this area.

Just open it!

They're gonna know where it is. Come on.

Ok, good call, good call.

Look for Adam and Rebecca.

Is this it?

Jon, Jon, Jon, they have it.

Right there.

This way, this way!

It's gotta be around here someplace.

"Make your way to Mount Hua."

Phil: Teams must now make their way

more than miles to Mount Hua.

When teams find the north peak, they'll find their next clue.

OK, let's go.

-Is it down there?-I don't know.

-Do you see a box?-Is that it?

Where? This place is huge.

Come on, babe.

-Rebecca, come on.-Whoo!

Go, go, go, go.

I heard Kris and Jon asking,

"Where's pit number one, where's pit number one?"

Adam had the brilliant idea

to throw them, so we got our clue

and went to the other side of the pit,

so it looked like we got the clue from that side,

so they ran that way when they came in. So they're going to go

running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

-What are you doing?-I don't know.

Was it right around that way, or--

I don't know, baby.

Did we miss it?

They got it so fast.

I don't think they went this far.

Freddy: You total buffoon.

He doesn't know where the hell we are.

We probably just totally just got k*lled this on this whole race.

Oh, please don't-- see, we're in the wrong place.

What a dumbass.

Do something.

-Is this it? OK.-No.

I don't know what to do.

I don't know if this is right.

No, no, no.

Where?

Aaron, come on.

Where? Where is it?

[Indistinct]

Aaron, come on. Oh, my God.

I think we're screwed.

Finally. Come on.

-Do you see pit one?-Come on, baby.

.

Thank you, let's go.

Do you know pit number one? Pit number one?

Pit number one?

That might be it right there, baby.

-Are you kidding me?-God!

I can't believe we went all the way around.

"Make your way to Mount Hua. Let's go.

Where is it?

Come on, come on.

This is pit one.

Did you see a flag?

-We have to dig, honey?-No.

Have you guys seen a flag?

-Is that the exit to the right? -Yep.

Go, baby, go.

-Yeah, yeah?-All right.

Kris: Please hurry. I wish that we'd had more time to see it.

That was cool. It was like a whole army of statues.

No, yeah, that's what it is. It's an army of statues.

You've got to be kidding me.

All the way around the wrong way.

"Find your next clue at the north peak."

Let's go.

Come on, baby, come on!

Taxi!

-Do you know?-Ok.

Don't let it bother you now. We can overcome this.

Where is this?

Yes!

All right, all right.

Down the road?

This road? We're in a hurry.

That was a nightmare, that taxi ride.

Go, go, go.

We want straight back, Hayden.

Honey, this is it.

I see it.

Good job, babe.

"Make your way to Mount Hua." let's go. Aaron, come on.

-Taxi? -Taxi?

Honey, we can't use him again, can we?

What do you want to do?

-Where is he at?-Right there.

-What do you want to do?-Use him.

It's going to take us minutes to deal with.

Aaron, you're sure you want to take this guy?

Yeah. Mount Hua? You sure you know?

You must go fast.

Fast, fast, fast.

We're going to be number one today.

I had a feeling about it last night.

I just, I mean before we got on the train.

Bite your tongue! Oh, my God.

I can't believe you're going to jinx us.

Knock on wood.

Don't say anything like that.

[Speaking Chinese]

Jon: The language is very forceful and abrupt.

When they're on the cell phone,

it sounds like they're always in an argument.

And there's definitely a little bit

of a barrier between English and Chinese.

There's no root or base words.

Chinese is not a Germanic language.

-Hold on, hold on.-Stop, stop, stop, stop.

Here?

Where's the shuttle? I don't know if we get the shuttle.

This is the entrance ticket.

-Rebecca... -I know.

What are you doing?

I'm buying tickets to entrance.

Here's the shuttle, here's the shuttle.

This is it? We want this?

OK, how much?

. Here you go. Thank you.

We've got to go. They're going to be here any minute.

We don't know where the other teams are.

They're behind us somewhere.

Our lead, we're losing our lead if we don't drive soon.

Kris: Do we have to take the shuttle from here?

We get tickets here?

-How long does it take?-We've got to go.

There it is.

We have to get the shuttle going

before everybody else gets there.

Tickets? We need tickets for the shuttle.

?

-Rebecca: It's Kris and Jon.-Adam: Damn it.

Kris: Come on, come on, come on, come on.

All right, let's go, let's go.

All right, we're off.

Ticket office.

-Is this our bus?-Yes.

Come on, baby.

Here we go.

Hayden: What are you doing? What are you doing?

Hey, hey!

Oh, my God, he doesn't know where to go.

Are you kidding me? Aaron, we need a new cab.

Driver: come on, come on.

Ok, let's get out.

Aaron!

Where are we going to get out to get a... damn cab?

Hayden.

No!

Get out. We're getting out of here.

Excuse me. Where is this?

That way!

You were going the wrong way.

You did not know the way to go.

You're driving the wrong direction!

Stupid.

We need a cab.

Pay him very little.

I'm over frickin' China.

-That's it.-Driver: hey!

Do not give him Chinese money.

-Driver: no, no, no.-Aaron, Aaron, Aaron!

You touch me, I'll kick your--

-Aaron, I'm---No, no!

Listen, we have--

[Speaking Chinese]

You've got us lost! You went the wrong way.

Where is this? Where?

Hey, this way!

Where are we going to get a cab?

Hon, do you want to walk to the mountain?

You know what, hayden?

Any suggestions on getting a cab in the middle of nowhere?

Take your bag.

Oh, Aaron!

Will you wait?

There's a taxi right here.

Fast, fast. We're in a hurry.

You're not upset right now at all?

You know what, if we're out of it, we're out of it.

There's more important things in life

than any amount of money.

Come here, come here.

We're going to try our best.

Yeah, this is it.

Rebecca: Oh, my gosh!

-Adam, quickly, let's go. -Come on, babe.

Come on. Go, go, go.

Is this the cable car?

-Cable car, here.-Babe, right here.

-OK, we're in. -Jeez.

Get ready for something crazy.

This is crazy.

See if the shuttles are here?

Any team, Freddy and Kendra?

Come on, honey, let's go.

Look. Right there.

There they are right there.

Come on, honey, let's go.

Come on, hurry.

Kendra: I feel like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,"

we just busted out of the glass roof

and here we are soaring high above the mountain peak.

Adam, let's go.

Quickly.

-Go, go, go.-Babe, come on.

North peak, north peak?

Where, Rebecca? Right or left?

To the left, you see?

Come on, come on, come on, come on.

-Let's go. -Kris and Jon are behind us.

Come on, babe.

What are we doing?

Come on, baby.

We need the north peak.

That one? Not this one?

What? Wait.

North?

That one.

That one?

This is east peak? This is north peak.

Oh, my God, Jon!

We ran up the wrong peak.

Sucks for Adam and Rebecca, too.

Rebecca: Excuse me! North peak? Down?

Turn around. We went the wrong way.

-Rebecca...-Adam, jump.

I'm sorry.

I think it's up there.

Now we know, just go.

Come on, baby.

I know, we gotta run.

North peak?

Come on, give me your hand.

Let's go.

I see the clue, honey.

Come on, baby.

-Roadblock.-Oh, it's a roadblock.

"Which one of you is more methodical?"

Phil: A roadblock is a task that only one person may perform,

and no one can do more than on the entire race.

In this roadblock,

one team member has to take the unique key

given to them in their clue,

and find the specific lock that it opens.

That lock, however, is somewhere

among more than , locks that have been fastened on top of this mountain

by couples as a symbol of their eternal love.

Teams must complete this task

before the last gondola departs at : P.M.

When they find the correct lock,

the key master will give them their next clue.

I'll do it.

Are you kidding?

So I can only unlock one?

Come on, baby, take your time.

-All right.-Make sure you go through

-each and every one.-All right.

There it is!

Roadblock. "Which one of you is more methodical?"

Go get it.

Good luck, sugar.

Jon: Come on, babe.

Nice and easy in order. Don't skip any.

"Which one of you is more methodical?"

-The keys, the keys.-I'll do it, I'll do it.

Good job, baby, keep going.

Come on, a monkey could open the locks.

Rebecca, did you see Aaron and Hayden?

No. Nowhere to be found.

We need a shuttle.

Aaron, come here.

for the shuttle bus.

Where's the shuttle to take us to the ride to the top of the mountain?

Where is it?

Isn't this bus ticket?

What is this?

Where's the bus ticket?

Where do we buy the bus ticket?

Where? Go down where?

Aaron, I cannot take it. Where is the damn bus?

Lucky key, whoo, whoo, lucky key!

Lucky key, whoo, whoo, lucky key!

Lucky key, whoo, whoo, lucky key!

Adam: Rebecca, maybe stop dancing and start opening.

I don't like the key n*zi over there.

Jon: Babe, nice and easy. Just go in order.

Baby, baby, I know.

It doesn't fit into the smaller ones.

I'm going for the larger ones,

it goes smoothly in all of those.

There's plenty of big ones.

That one, it fit in but it didn't turn.

You're doing great, baby.

Honey, you're not doing great.

Shut up.

Do one by one.

I have to be very Zen about this.

Where is the shuttle bus? Where?

I don't even want to do it.

Aaron: Please, please, please.

-I'm this close to quitting. -Honey.

Shuttle bus to go--

Show me.

Go? Right now?

We were told to get--

What? Aaron, figure it out.

OK, how much for these?

No! Get out.

-Hayden, Hayden, Hayden.-What?

Why are you--

Because this is frustrating.

This has been the worst day ever.

I hate China.

-Aaron... -Ahhh!

Is your finger getting sore?

-Kris: Baby, I'm tryin'.-Keep it up, sweetie,

You're doing a great job. Just nice and easy. Get it done.

Come on, Rebecca.

Why is this going in and not turning?

-That's such a tease.-Good job, baby.

Some of these locks

are from like, the year .

These things are older than these hills.

This could take hours.

We buy ticket from you?

Honey, come on.

Don't say that.

I realize that.

Ugh.

Ahh!

Looks fun, Rebecca.

There's nothing fun about this.

Come on, baby, take your time,

don't break your key off in a lock.

[Murmuring]

Babe, make sure you do each one, hon. Nice and easy.

Whoo-hoo!

Yeah!

Keep going, baby.

-Thank you.-You rock.

"Make your way to the pit stop."

Phil: Teams must now make their way

to the base of the mountain

and travel by bus to the city of Xi'an.

When they arrive in the city,

they'll have to find the south gate of the Xi'an wall.

Built more than years ago to defend the city,

this battlement is the pit stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here will be eliminated.

Let's go, we gotta get back.

-I love this game!-This game rocks.

Is this the right way down?

God, Kris and Jon have the best freakin' luck!

I mean, they've got an angel sitting on them.

They must've been really good in their last life.

Adam: Don't think about them.

They're busy making out on the gondola.

Kris has an unbelievable way of honing in,

especially under pressure,

and she did extremely well. Got us out of there first.

Ooh.

Gondola that way?

Jon: We've got to get out of here.

Yeah, we've got to get out of here.

Come on, babe.

Go, go, go.

Oh, my God.

-Are you first?-Yeah.

When I saw Kris and Jon,

there was like a flicker like, we have hope.

Honey, this is it.

-They were first, they said? -Yep.

-We can get that shuttle.-Let's go.

OK, can we go? See ya!

I did not miss a single one.

Where else can I go?

Well, you've got to start over, I guess.

God! You've got to be kidding.

Honey, just calm down and put the key in slowly.

OK?

Is that it?

Ok, I went through them all.

I went through every single one.

Just go through them one more time.

Take your time.

I took my time last time!

I'm on your team here. Don't yell at me.

I'm doing everything I possibly can!

Getting upset isn't going to help.

Then you need to hush your mouth.

Open!

Rebecca, are you doing something wrong?

Just open!

Rebecca, keep going.

Good job, baby. Keep going.

-Yes! I got it.-She got it! Yes!

Ha ha ha!

Damn!

"Make your way to the next pit stop."

-Let's go.-Sorry, Adam.

Rebecca, there's nothing to say sorry about.

You did great, baby.

-Aaron, come. North peak? -Yes.

-Ahh. -Come on, baby.

There's Freddy and Kendra.

-I have to do it. -Let's go.

Adam: Hayden and Aaron, damn it!

We're OK. They just got here.

Come on, baby. Find the lock.

I'm hoping Hayden can unlock this padlock

and then we're right back in it.

If we take the bus the little ones

could easily catch up with us.

Everybody could. We could all be on the same bus.

Same bus, yeah.

Then it's just a foot race.

-Run, baby, run.-Please, over here.

Come on, honey, let's go.

Let's focus our sights on trying to get in first.

All right? Thank you.

OK, excuse me.

We need to find the bus to Xi'an.

Bus to Xi'an?

-Yes. -Yes.

-Over there?-Babe, come on.

-So you speak English here?-Yes.

-This is the first bus to leave to Xi'an? -Yes.

OK, let's go.

OK, let's get out.

-What about that bus-Yes

All right, come on, baby.

Go, go, go.

-.-OK.

-OK.-Thank you.

All right, Xi'an, we go!

Oh, thank God! Off to Xi'an.

What happened to the bus?

Can she take us?

Thank you.

I'm so proud of you.

Push one side into the other side and hurry up about it.

Come on!

Oh, great, my key is stuck.

Try loosen it, just wiggle.

Aaron, it's stuck.

Honey.

Hayden, I wish I could come over and help.

Calm down.

Aaron, it's not a matter of being calm.

It's stuck.

I'm about ready to use my teeth.

Well, my key broke!

My key broke!

-What are you doing?-It broke. In half.

It broke?

-It broke, bent, got stuck. -Oh, my God!

Aaron, what does it say if you need another key?

"To get a replacement key,

go to the reception desk at the North Peak Hotel."

Let's go.

Get it in your head. There is a lock that fits your key.

Jon: Do you want to try to jump out here? This is Xi'an, right?

Thank you.

Do you know where this is?

-Yes, yes, yes.-Go very fast.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

-The south gate? -Yes.

That's it?

-Taxi!-Freddy: Let's go.

The game's not over. We can still end up first.

Have Hayden and Aaron gotten here yet?

No, but I have a feeling they're coming soon.

Come on, baby.

This has been the day from Hell.

Aaron, come on.

Don't start with me or I'll have to come over there

and throw you off the mountain.

Adam: They're back.

I think if you're bad in your life and you die,

you go to where I am right now.

Keep going!

Hayden: I've had panic att*cks today.

Come on, baby, we can do it.

It's just so frustrating for me not to jump in

and grab the key and just start trying myself.

It's so hard just to sit on the sidelines.

Oh, dude, this is Hell.

Thank you. Let's go.

Baby, hurry up.

Freddy: That building right there.

All right, honey, we've got to run like the wind.

Come on, honey, let's go.

This way. Come on.

-That way, baby.-There it is.

Hey, Phil.

Welcome to Xi'an, China.

Thank you.

Kris and Jon,

you're team number one.

As the winners of this leg of the race,

you've won a vacation to the sunny Caribbean,

compliments of American Airlines' website, aa.com,

which you can enjoy after the race.

Congratulations, guys,

you're on the final teams

racing to the finish line for $ million.

All we wanted to do was come in in the top today.

And we're ready to go to the next level.

So we're ready.

Freddy and Kendra,

you're team number .

Oh, yes!

Yes!

Congratulations, guys, you're one of the teams

that will be racing to the finish line for the $ million.

-Oh, my God!-You're still in the race.

That was my only promise to Kendra.

He did. He promised me

that we would make it into the final .

-Well, you did it.-He's my little hero

What's the definition of insanity?

Isn't it doing the same thing

and expecting different results?

Well, I've been doing the same thing for like hours.

I think I'm officially insane.

Adam: Come on, Rebecca. It's nerve wracking sitting here

because there's only one other team here.

So if she doesn't open that lock before Hayden,

then we're going to lose.

See, honey, this was fitting in here before.

Aaron, it's almost : and the thing's going to close, right?

It's :.

As soon as you open that key,

we're gonna be sprinting down the hill,

and then we'll get pizza. Mmm!

I'm destroying my fingers trying to pull it out.

My hands will never be the same,

and I don't think I'll ever be a hand model.

Just focus for a few more minutes.

-Rebecca?-What?

-Are you bleeding?-Yeah.

Adam: It's worth it. You know it.

Aaron, damn it, I'm trying.

All right? I can't open it.

I don't know how.

I'm stupid, I cannot figure it out.

My fingers are bleeding, I have blisters.

I've been here for how long?

Then do what you have to do.

I'm this close to just stopping.

I'm OK with any decision you make.

I swear to God.

This is unnerving.

Stop being a baby.

Just figure out how to open it.

It's a key in a lock. Get it done already.

I'm going.

I've checked all of them.

Be thorough. That's all you can do.

You have that, I've been watching you.

I am turning as much as I can.

It's not turning. It won't budge.

Come on, hon, you can do it.

This is very frustrating.

I know, honey.

Rebecca, go.

I cannot feel my fingers.

Aaron, I don't know how to do this.

We're done. We're done.

We're done. We're giving up.

I'm done. I'm bleeding.

You got it? Are you kidding me!

Are you kidding?No!

-Are you kidding?-I got it!

-Oh, my God!-I got it, I got it!

Thank you, I'm done, good-bye.

Do I need to get something from you? OK.

-Oh, my God! Thank you.-Come on.

"Make you way to the next pit stop." Whoo-hoo!

OK.

Thank you.

"Make your way to the pit stop."

Let's go.

Hayden: I'm sorry.

Hayden, seriously,

there's nothing to be sorry about.

I did lose this for us, though.

No, you didn't.

Yes, I did. Yeah, I did.

No, you didn't.

Yeah, I did, Aaron.

I didn't know how to put a key in a lock and open it.

Are you all right?

Yeah. Life will go on.

Stop, stop, stop, stop!

We should run, you guys. Come on.

Wait, I have to pee. I can't run so fast!

Seriously!

-Come on, let's go.-Hurry, hurry.

Run, Adam.

Hayden and Aaron,

-you're the third team to arrive. -Yes!

Come on in, guys.

However, since you chose not to complete the roadblock,

you've been penalized hours.

You've both been eliminated from the race.

It's fun while it lasted, right?

Yep.

Adam and Rebecca, you're the last team to arrive.

What else is new?

However, because of the penalty of these guys,

you're still in the race.

You'll still be racing for the $ million prize.

Yay.

This is a very strange situation you've got here.

Today was just about fate.

If it was anything to do with strength,

they would probably have beaten us.

You know, I feel like I let him down.

But, I mean, he's been really the anchor.

We worked our butts off.

And I am so proud of you.

I mean, I couldn't ask for a better partner.

Rebecca: aww.

I love you.

And I have something to ask you.

I do.

Rebecca: Oh, no.

Oh, no way!

I wanted to do this in the finale

when we won $ million, but, will you marry me?

-Yeah? -Yes.

Phil: Wow. [chuckles]

Wow, huh?

Speechless, for once.

Of course I'll marry you. I love you.

I've always known I wanted to marry Aaron, the minute I saw him.

Aaron, what do you love about her?

You're just a wonderful person.

And I love you so much.

And I don't want to cry, because I'm tough.

I'm not going to.

It's all right to cry, really.

I'm so happy right now. I mean...

screw everything else.

Because I have you. And that's all that matters.

"Amazing Race" was exactly what I thought it would be,

which was the adventure of a lifetime.

But more importantly, this caused us to become closer

and know we want to be with each other forever.

That's the best thing a girl could ask for.

Jon and I have played a clean game through this whole race

and I think that is part of our winning strategy.

We have everything that it takes

to come in first on this next leg and win this race.

It's definitely a new race now.

Freddy and I are going to go into it stronger

and more confident than ever.

We just wanted to get to the next flag and the next city,

but now it's like there's no more of that.

It's just, we've got to get to the end first.

I really, really think we can do it.

We want to win the w*r.

I want to win the game. I want to win the game.

We want to win to win.

You're going to have

to be on your best game to b*at us.

This is anyone's game.

Phil: Find out who wins "The Amazing Race"

when the next leg begins in just a few minutes.

Phil: This is Xi'an, China,

a city rich in history

that served as the imperial capital

for dynasties.

And crossing more than / miles of the city,

the Xi'an wall. This was the th pit stop in a race around the world.

Kris and Jon, who were the first to arrive at : P.M.

Will depart at : A.M.

"It's time to begin the journey home.

First, Honolulu Hawaii."

Phil: Teams must now fly more than , miles to Honolulu, Hawaii.

When they land, they must drive themselves

to Puu Uluakaa State Park.

Once they've reached this look-out point,

teams will receive their next clue.

"You have $ for this leg of the race."

, , all right, let's go.

All right, let's go! We're going to Hawaii.

Let's go back to our hotel.

Phil: To get to Honolulu, Hawaii,

teams must now reserve their flights through a local

travel agent or in a business center

because local laws do not allow travelers

to book international departing flights

at the Xi'an Airport.

Yeah.

Jon: It feels unbelievable to come this far

and to make it to the top .

We're very proud and we hope that we'll continue,

you know, just doing what we do.

Kris: This leg is entirely different because in the past,

we have just focused on not being eliminated.

And this time we want to come in first.

So we're just going to pull out all the reserves

and make sure that happens.

We need to get on the internet as soon as possible.

It's very, very important.

We have to get a flight.

It's not open yet?

Can you call some travel agents for us

and see what time they open?

Let's see if we can call and book the ticket.

Yes! Going to Honolulu, going home!

Freddy: I'm so excited, we're going to Hawaii.

Kendra: We are basically going to stop at nothing

to win this race.

We're not going to be the nice, sweet people

that we have been for the majority of the race.

We're going to do whatever it takes.

We can go back to the hotel and book tickets to Honolulu.

This is the race that I've been waiting for.

This is where Kendra and I really get to show what we're made of.

And I can't wait.

Good morning.

How you doing?

Yeah, I know, we're trying to do the same.

Thank you.

Thank you. OK, let's go.

We'll have to make a pretty quick dash to the travel agent

and try to book tickets there.

OK, it's showing busy, beep, beep, beep.

Can we dial again?

How are you?

Good.

I need to get into Honolulu as soon as possible.

[Speaking Chinese]

Hello?

What happened?

It's beeping. What happened?

This is frustrating.

Let's go back to the hotel.

-All right, let's go-OK.

I'm assuming Freddy and Kendra are in the process

of booking their tickets right now.

Thank you.

From Xi'an, :?

OK.

Ok.

Book tickets, and we need to go.

Quickly. OK.

How far away is the airport?

We've got to get out of this office quickly as possible.

We're cutting it close.

OK, thank you.

Let's go. Get in.

-We're going to the airport. -To the airport.

Very fast.

[Horn honking]

I think there's always a bicyclist in front of us.

Hi.

We need the fastest flight into Honolulu today.

What's the next flight?

:. What time does that get in?

Is that the earliest flight into Honolulu?

Great. Let's book it.

Freddy: Here it is.

Here's the airport.

Come on, baby.

Let's go.

I think we're going to be getting on the : A.M.

Ow!

Thank you.

Honolulu, Hawaii.

Never been to Hawaii, yeah!

Rebecca: The key to this leg is if we just stop fighting

and just stay focused.

And we'll have a real sh*t at this.

Adam: Even though we are very far behind, anything can happen.

Freddy and Kendra and Kris and Jon, we can b*at them.

All right, so we'll book some tickets.

Hello.

We need to go to Honolulu as fast as we can.

Rebecca: OK, we have to do that, then.

Adam: We have to hurry.

Will you book us tickets? Thank you so much.

Let's go, get in.

Put your stuff in the car.

Very fast.

Our driver is a bad ass.

You can say anything to this guy, he has no clue.

He has testicles.

Yes, yes,

Yes, yes.

[Laughter]

OK. Thank you.

Thank you very much, thank you.

Excuse me, beep beep!

So maybe we'll all meet up somewhere.

I'm hoping, hoping, hoping.

Phil: All teams are now making their way

to Honolulu, Hawaii,

connecting through either Osaka or Tokyo, Japan.

We need to find a better flight.

Honolulu, :. That one is earlier than ours.

Gate . Come on.

What a break this could be!

Excuse me.

We have an emergency situation.

Do you have seats available?

There are two of us.

Yes, but we need to get to Honolulu as quickly as possible,

and this flight gets us there hours ahead.

No, that's OK, that's OK.

We don't want a meal.

We're saying that we're going to pay

and we don't need a meal, why don't you let us on the flight?

Please, I have a sick child in Honolulu

and I have to get to her.

Please let us get on this flight!

This is an emergency! Please!

I'm begging you.

I have to get to Honolulu, please!

I don't get it.

They have seats available,

they won't give them to us.

I don't get it.

OK, let's see if we can get on an earlier flight.

We're trying to get on the fastest flight

from here to Honolulu.

There's no other seats on the plane?

We can only go in economy class.

You guys aren't going to try to help us out?

We have no options.

We have to get on this flight.

It's an emergency.

Is there anything anybody can please do for us?

We have no bags to check,

no bags, nothing, we're ready to just walk on.

Ready to go.

No meals, no meals.

Hopefully.

Is there room on the plane?

Are there empty seats?

Please? It's very important.

People just walked on the plane.

They had tickets, Adam.

We have no bags to check.

Aren't they going on the same plane?

Well, we're right behind them!

They have to get on the plane.

This is so important.

You just let people walk by.

I don't understand. It's not like we didn't buy tickets.

Adam, there's nothing we can do.

We have paid for full fare tickets, we have no bags to check,

and it's an emergency. And we were begging you,

and you could have let us on

but you chose not to, and I just want to tell you,

you're really mean. Do you understand--

do you know the word mean?

You're really mean. You're very cold.

Thank you.

There are not words for how nerve-wracking it is

when you know that it could come down to minutes in this final leg.

Adam: I want to see the other teams.

I want to have a chance.

If we catch up, we're going to win.

Phil: All teams are now making their way to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Come on, baby.

-Come on. -All right.

We're looking for a marked car in the parking lot.

Here we go. Here we go.

Yes! He he!

All right, baby.

There's here, yes!

We need to get on the interstate.

I'm going H- East, right?

Yeah.

We're in Hawaii, baby!

Hawaii!

OK, let's haul ass.

There they are.

Perfect.

Get on that side?

OK, where are we going?

We have no idea where the other teams are.

We think Freddy and Kendra are a little bit ahead of us.

And we don't know where Adam and Rebecca are.

Look how beautiful this is,

we're getting up here in the rain forest, aren't we?

Puu Ualakaa State Park!

Let's go, baby.

Whoo! I see it up to the left.

-Detour. -Detour.

Outfits or outriggers.

A detour is a choice between tasks,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this detour, teams have to choose between outfits and outriggers.

In outfits, teams travel approximately miles to this clothing distributor

and pick one of these dressed mannequins,

then they'll have to search racks

holding more than , articles of clothing

for the outfits matching the one on their chosen mannequin.

Once they've put on the outfits,

they'll be handed their next clue.

The task is not physical,

but trying to find the right outfit

among thousands of patterns

will be confusing.

In outriggers, teams drive themselves

nearly miles to this canoe club,

and with the help of a steersperson,

they will paddle an outrigger canoe

down a course just over miles long.

There's nothing confusing about the task,

but paddling the canoe will be difficult.

Freddy: I'd rather paddle. But I don't want to k*ll you.

-Kendra: We can paddle.-Let's just do that.

All right, we need to go to the car.

Let's get white.

H-.

Let's find H-.

Go right.

It's raining pretty hard.

OK.

So we go in here?

I assume so.

Park here?

Yeah. Let's go.

Outrigger.

You want to do the outrigger?

Yeah, don't you think?

What if it's raining?

Who cares?

It's water.

That's--. mile course in the water is far.

Let's turn and do the other one.

-OK? -OK.

Freddy: I'm looking for...

Kuala?

Kuala?

Kuala?

Kuala?

Kuala.

Kuala Avenue, honey.

Marked entrance?

We've got to go up the stairs.

Hi, Jon and Kris.

Please select a set of prints

and put your leis around them.

Want to do the surfboards?

Yeah, let's do this.

I like this dress.

Yeah, I like this dress, too, it's cute.

This is not it, this is not it.

This is not it.

No, all these are just the same.

Hello.

The bridge is way up there?

-You're k*lling me, honey. -What?

You just threw water all over me.

Why is that k*lling you?

Ready? Come on, come on. Paddle.

Tell me when to stop.

Keep going, keep going, keep going, stop.

Is this it? This is the shirt, Jon.

This is it right here?

Is this it?

, , ,

keep it nice and smooth.

Hi!

Aloha!

Don't wear yourself out.

God forbid, me have a little bit of fun for a second.

Not with you around. Not allowed to have any fun.

OK, here are dresses.

OK, go.

No, back it up. This isn't it.

No!

Paddle, paddle.

Whoo!

Paddling for $ million.

Whoo!

What will it be?

Detour.

I think we should canoe.

OK, whatever.

Let's go to the car. What are we doing here?

Stop, stop, stop, stop.

Here it is, here it is, here it is.

Nice!

I like it.

Yay!

Thank you very much.

"Drive yourselves to Kamaka Air."

Phil: Teams must now drive approximately miles

to this local airport and find Kamaka Air,

where they'll receive their next clue.

OK. Let's go.

Baby. Good call.

You can go to the H-.

Freddy: Paddle slowly.

Just let it go.

All right.

Congratulations on your finish.

Thank you!

Here's your next clue.

Thank you.

"Drive yourselves to Kamaka Air."

Kris: This is the street.

-Kamaka Air.-You see it?

Yeah, there it is.

There's the box.

Roadblock, baby. It's you.

No matter what.

"Who's ready for an ocean dive?"

Cool!

A roadblock is a task that only one person may perform

and no person can do more than on the entire race.

In this roadblock,

that person has to take a leap out of an airplane

and sky dive in tandem with an instructor

for more than , feet.

They must land on this sand bar

in the middle of Kanehoge Bay

where they'll find their next clue.

I'm Jon. How are you?

Ready to get wet?

Yeah.

I wonder where the other teams are.

We have no idea. We haven't seen them.

Am I supposed to go there? Damn it.

Look for the street signs, honey.

Kamaka Air is located off Palecona Street.

Off Lagoon Drive.

We've gone too far.

-Are you sure?-Yeah, I'm % sure.

We're going back down the back side of this mountain, now.

That isn't right.

Damn it!

Do we get off? What exit do we get off of?

Here's Lagoon Drive.

It's off Nimitz. See it?

There's the airport, it's before the airport.

Lagoon Drive.

-Rebecca.-Come on, this way.

-Hey.-Hello.

Climb on in. All right, let's go.

We've got to pick up the pace, Adam.

No more lollygagging.

Rebecca, come on!

Push the water away.

Your tone of voice is very jarring.

Freddy: There it is, I think.

There's the clue box, right there.

Go, baby.

"Who's ready for an ocean dive?"

I'll do it.

Jon: Freddy! Ready to dive out of a plane?

Yeah.

I'm heading on a boat ride to watch

Jon jump out of a plane.

Hey, hey!

Let's get ready to go.

I'm ready to go.

Come on, Rebecca. Let's do it.

I keep hoping another team will emerge from the bush.

Now we're heading home.

Good job, guys.

"Kamaka Air." OK, let's go.

Hi.

Jon and Freddy are going to be in the same plane
