language tape I ordered.

Ursa is going to call later on.

She lives in Spain.

And now I can talk to her in
her own language -- Spanish.

She's gonna be so
surprised when--...

[sniffing]

What's that smell?

[sniffing]

[smells]

Because you smell all
fresh and comfortable.

I'm talking to old Doc Hog.

Gee, it's really hard
for Tutter to tell me

what he wants
when he can't talk.

Good thing there are other ways
to communicate without talking.

Communicate.

Communicate!

It's a big word
but communicate means

expressing yourself-- you know,

letting people know how
you feel and what you want.

And there are different
ways to communicate.

Like, for instance, um!

You can use your hand
to talk or make signs.

Or, you can write a letter.

Or, use the telephone.

Or, you can sing a song,

honk a horn, bang a
gong or even... ring a bell!

And, remember,

if you ever want to
communicate with me,

you know where to find me!!

I used to have a pen-pal
when I was in grade.

It was a 5th grader.

Always I talk to my Daddy on
the telephone

when I'm at somewhere.

Great stuff!

But, I better start learning
at least a few words of Spanish

before my friend Ursa calls.

Now, let's see where

The Spanish learning program
especially for Bears.

I'm learning a few
words of Spanish.

My friend, Ursa, who lives
in Spain, is going to call me.

So I want to learn some Spanish,

so I can talk to her
in her own language.

PIP & POP: Cool, Bear!

Boy, that Bear, he's always
learning something, yeah.

Say something, Bear.
Say something!

Well, actually, I just started.
But I can say "Hola."

"Hola" means "Hello" in Spanish.

[exclaims]

Can we learn with you?
Yeah, we love Spanish!

-Sure, guys.
-But, Bear?

What's Spanish?

Well, you see guys,
around the world,

people talk to each
other in different ways.

They may say the same things
we do, like "Have-a-nice-day."

But, in China they
say it in Chinese...

[in Chinese language]

Chinese words!

And,
in Morocco they speak Arabic.

[in Arabic language]

Arabic.

In Norway,
they speak Norwegian...

[in Norwegian language]

-Norwegian!
-Yup.

You can say the same thing,
but in different ways.

B-but, Bear!

Let's get started learning
how to say things.

In Spanish!

Now, remember, guys,
just "Listen and Repeat."

'specially for Bears.

That sounds like Ojo and Treelo.

is a much better way to
get you what you need?

and the buzzing of the bees.

"Hola" means "hello."

means "how are you?"

"Hola" means "hello."

how are you?" in Spanish.

"MuyBien!" Bear.

That means "real good!"

Hey, you've learned some
Spanish. Isn't that great!?

means "Somebody has
been sleeping in my bed!"

You guys are really getting

how you feel and what you want.

They helped me learn Spanish so
