I'm gonna win my sixth Gym badge!

Two more, then the Kalos League!

BONNIE: Serena's ready to move, too!

CLEMONT: You're that excited to see a Gym battle?

SERENA: Of course! I'll be able to meet Valerie!

SERENA: Look! Ta-da! Here she is. Isn't she great?!

BONNIE: Wow. Her clothes are so cute!

SERENA: That outfit is one of her creations.

You see, Valerie is a famous fashion designer!

Isn't that amazing?!

And she has her very own store in the Laverre City Gym!

SERENA: Right. She's the Laverre Gym Leader as well!

Ash will battle for his sixth Kalos Gym badge. Now that they

know the Gym Leader, Valerie, is also a fashion designer, what

kind of opponent will she be?

ASH: Whoa

BONNIE: It's huge!

SERENA: Wow! I finally get to meet Valerie!

There's so much I want to ask her about the world of fashion!

SERENA: Do you mind if I visit her store after your Gym battle?

ASH: 'Cours

SERENA: HUR- -ray!

ASH: 'Kay, u, let's go.

GIRL A: Do you think I should I take this outfit now?

GIRL B: We'd better hurry or we'll be late!

And all the accessories, too!

CLEMONT: They all seem really busy with something.

SERENA: They're all wearing Valerie's designs!

They're so adorable!

SAWYER: Please! I have to have a Gym battle! No matter what!

LINNEA: I'm very sorry. You see, the Laverre Gym is closed

because we're having an event here today.

There's really nothing I can do.

SAWYER: Oh man oh man...

ASH: Wait, are you serious?!

There's really no way to have a battle now?

SAWYER: It's nice to meet everybody. My name is Sawyer!

CLEMONT: He came to challenge me at the Lumiose Gym

not too long ago.

SAWYER: Yeah. And I lost. But I really learned a whole lot.

ASH: Nice to meet you!! My name's Ash.

This is my partner, Pikachu!

SERENA: I'm Serena.

CLEMONT: This is my sister.

BONNIE: I'm Bonnie. And this is Dedenne!

DEDENNE

SAWYER: Glad to meet you.

ASH: So if you're challenging Gyms,

how many badges do you have?

SAWYER: So far, one.

I really wanna get some more battling under my belt.

CLEMONT: So you've done well since then.

His Treecko's quite a unique Pokémon and moves really well!

ASH: Wow, Treecko's your partner, huh?

SAWYER: Treecko was my very first Pokémon.

But we've still got a lot of work to do.

SAWYER: I really want to get stronger and then go back and

challenge the Lumiose City Gym again!

CLEMONT: You'd be welcome anytime!

SAWYER: Thanks! But what are you doing here now, Clemont?

CLEMONT: I left the Gym in my Clembot's able hands.

That's because I decided to continue my journey with Ash.

SAWYER

CLEMONT: That way, I can get the chance to gain valuable

experience watching Ash battle.

BONNIE: Uh huh! Ash is really incredible.

He beat Clemont, too!

SAWYER: Really? You did?

BONNIE: And he's got five whole badges!

SAWYER: Five badges?! Amazing!

I'm going to do my very best so I can catch up!

ASH: Uh... I've still got a way to go!

Guess my sixth GYM badge will have to wait until tomorrow...

CLEMONT: So what do we do now?

SERENA: Well, we could go to Valerie's store first

CLEMONT: Those two certainly have a lot of energy,

ASH: They sure do.

You know, I'm glad they're having such a good time.

ASH: Sawyer, since we can't have our Gym battles,

how about we practice some?

SAWYER: Hey, that would be great!

If it's all right with you, could we have a Double Battle?

I've never had one before.

ASH: Sure thing!

BLOSSOM: Well? What do you think of those two?

BLOSSOM: Aren't they totally perfect?

KATHERINE: I think they might work out

CLEMONT: The Double Battle between Ash and Sawyer

will now begin!

ASH: All right, I choose you two!

ASH: Now, I'm counting on you to win this!

SAWYER: Yes, of course.

And the other Pokémon is my secret w*apon!

ASH: Yup, there's Treecko.

POKEDEX: Treecko. The Wood Gecko Pokémon.

Numerous tiny spikes cover the bottoms of Treecko's feet,

allowing it to walk on ceilings and walls.

ASH: And that other one there is Bagon.

POKEDEX: Bagon. The Rock Head Pokémon.

Because Bagon dreams of being able to fly, it regularly

practices by leaping from cliffs.

CLEMONT: All right then, battle begin!

SAWYER: Bagon, Headbutt!

ASH: Hawlucha, meet it head-on with Karate Chop!

ASH: Hawlucha, you okay?

SAWYER: You may have noticed my Bagon has a really hard head.

ASH: Then check this out. Lots of Karate Chops!

against Water types! But that's only if they make contact...

way you do. I'll make a note of this experience. There must be

an endless number of ways to battle!

ASH: Yup! So Sawyer, what do you wanna do?

SERENA: The actual models weren't able to make it today,

and then they saw us.

So Valerie asked if we wouldn't mind taking their places.

Thank you all so very much for coming to my fashion show today!

motifs. That's because my philosophy has always been

the true beauty can be only found in nature...

VALERIE: Also All of my creations are carefully designed

to look their absolute best when worn during battle.

VALERIE: You with the orange tie

VALERIE: I would like to have a battle with you right here.

SAWYER: Here?

VALERIE: Now, of course if it turns out that you defeat me,

I'll gladly reward you with a Gym badge.

SAWYER: Really?!

Valerie does this to demonstrate how her creations always look

their best when worn in battle.

SAWYER: This is my chance. I'll take everything I've learned

and win that badge for sure!

KALI: And now, the battle between Laverre Gym Leader

Valerie and Sawyer the challenger

will now get under way!

SAWYER: I'm ready to go!

KALI: This is a one-on-one battle.

It will be over when either side's Pokémon

is unable to continue!

SERENA: Hey Ash

ASH: Serena! Sawyer is going to battle with Valerie!

CLEMONT: Using the same rules as a Gym battle.

ASH: Sawyer can do it for sure!

SAWYER: Now, Bagon, let's go!

ASH: I wonder what Pokémon Valerie's gonna use?

VALERIE: Spritzee Come out!

ASH: I think I know that

POKEDEX: Spritzee. The Perfume Pokémon. Spritzee gives off a

fragrance that delights anyone who smells it, which changes

depending on what Spritzee eats.

CLEMONT: This could be very bad

SERENA: What do you mean bad?

SAWYER: Bagon, use Dragon Breath!

BAGON

SAWYER: Yeah! I landed the first attack!

SPRITZEE

SAWYER: How can it be?!

BAGON?

SAWYER: I'm sure it made contact...

SPRITZEE

VALERIE

CLEMONT: Ah, you see, Spritzee is a Fairy type.

And Dragon-type moves have no effect at all on Fairy types.

SERENA: That's right!

ASH: So that means Bagon is in big trouble.

CLEMONT: This is going to be one tough battle.

SAWYER: Let's see. Dragon-type moves don't work on a Fairy

type I'll be sure to make a note of this experience!

GIRL A: Look at Ms. Valerie!

GIRL B: So beautiful!

VALERIE: It's not enough.
