It's class pet time!

Get your eyes and ears ready.

We're going to look at and listen to

our cuddly little buddy Chip-Chip...

and find out what she needs.

Are your eyes ready?

[ting ting]

[children] Yes! Mine are!

Are your ears ready?

[children] Yeah! Ready!

Terrific!

[boy] Hey, look at Chip-Chip.

[girl ] Why is she pushing her food bowl like that?

[girl] I don't know.

[boy] Look, she's rubbing her face against her bowl.

[boy ] Shh. She's making a noise.

[girl] I think she's hungry.

[girl ] My belly makes a noise when I'm hungry.

[children laughing]

[boy] What should we give her?

[girl] I don't know.

[boy] Her ball?

[girl] Some wood chips?

[boy] Or food pellets?

[children] Food pellets!

[boy] Yeah, she wants to eat.

[boy ] Hey, it's my turn to pour in her pellets.

[girl] He's right, it's his turn.

[boy] Here you go, Chip-Chip.

Do you think she likes it?

[children] Yeah!

[boy] She's loud when she eats.

[children laughing]

[children] We did it!

We fed Chip-Chip!

Give your eyes and ears a round of applause.

You saw Chip-Chip push her bowl,

and you heard her making noises,

and you figured out she was hungry.
