Near Wyndon Stadium sits the Rose of the Rondelands Hotel.

This is where the Masters Eight Tournament contestants are staying.

Then I'd evolve it up to Rillaboom like Leon did, and get it to Gigantamax!

Well, first you'll have to evolve it into a Thwackey.

Right!

Then we'll use a move that's just as cool as ,, Volt Thunderbolt!

I'm sure you can.

Cynthia, what was your first Pokémon?

You know, I don't think even I know that.

This one here.

We've been on many adventures since it was a Gible.

[grunts]

I thought you could only choose Piplup, Chimchar, or Turtwig.

Right. This one came from an Egg.

[all groan]

[Cynthia] With Pokémon Eggs,

you never know what will come from them, right?

And anticipating what kind of Pokémon will emerge…

It's so exciting!

I did everything I could to keep it warm.

And when the time came,

this is who hatched! I was beyond overjoyed.

Actually, my Lucario came from an Egg, too.

-And a very strange Egg it was… -Strange?

What do you mean?

[Goh] It wouldn't hatch, no matter who cared for it.

We went to lots of regions and still couldn't figure it out.

-But then the Egg called out to Ash. -Whoa!

-True. And then… -Yeah.

…I felt some kind of Aura coming from it.

They call Lucario the Aura Pokémon, don't they?

You're so awesome!

Ash, maybe it was waiting for you.

You think so?

Actually, I've heard rumors.

They were talking about that strange Egg.

So that was you!

[grunts]

Even now, when Lucario is battling…

I can feel this Aura building up like bam!

It was like that, too,

when we battled Raihan a little while back.

You take care of each other.

I'm sure that meeting Lucario was fate.

You think I can meet a Pokémon like that, too?

I'll bet that once you meet your Pokémon friends,

everybody feels like it's fate!

Rillaboom has managed to eliminate Diantha's Pokémon one after another!

Could that powerful Fire type attack finally bring it down?

Diantha's Pokémon bit the dust big time!

[James] After all of that action, we now have the fan favorite,

Considering the proceedings,

I couldn't care any less now that Gourgeist lost.

[laughs]

After all, that movie star is busy!

[growling]

[growling]

-by a massive firestorm! -[groans]

[growling]

[growls]

Now Mega Gardevoir has been surrounded by a massive flame!

[grunts, gasps]

Gardevoir is unable to battle!

So the victory goes to Leon!

[announcer] It's decided! Leon has secured his place in the finals!

[growls]

All right! Leon's the best!

[squeals] Wow!

Charizard is so strong!

Yeah! It's incredibly strong!

Ash, I wanna have totally cool battles just like Leon!

You should have lots of adventures first where you catch Pokémon

and battle with them.

Hm. As soon as I get a partner, I'll battle both of you!

-I'll do it, too! -Sure!

-Pi-ka. -[laughter]

Two young rivals have just appeared!

-[Diantha] Thank you. -Gardevoir.

Thank you, that was a great battle.

It's finals time.

Battling you gave me so many chills.

This win was simply luck!

[growls]

So the one waiting at the end is gonna be Leon.
