[narrator] With a clear goal in mind,

Ash and Goh have traveled to the Galar region.

But after reaching Wyndon, they transferred to the Ghost Train,

where most of the passengers were Ghost type Pokémon.

Joined by a mysterious masked boy, our heroes ended up having to calm down

a rampaging Spiritomb.

And so, with that mission accomplished, they finally arrived at their destination,

Stow-on-Side.

Now, what was that goal that brought them here?

This'll be a blast. Give it your best, Gengar.

Ash and Gengar are really fired up, don't you think?

[gibbers]

Sure! I can't wait!

So that's Gigantamax Gengar? Wow! That's so cool!

-Right? -Gengar!

Professor? What do I need to do?

How do I get Gengar to Gigantamax like that?

Hmm, let me see.

You could always ask the Ghost type Gym Leader in Stow-on-Side.

I believe that his name is Allister.

Especially if he can tell me how to get Gengar to Gigantamax!

But all of this was news to me.

Who knew Stow-on-Side had two different Gyms?

Bea's the Gym Leader of the first one.

And the second Gym? It's up there.

Which means we'll have to yell.

[Gengar snickers]

[Ash] Go, Gengar! Give it all you got!

[Pikachu cheering]

It looks like they're trying to force Gengar to Gigantamax.

Your Gengar can only Dynamax.

You can't force it to Gigantamax no matter how hard you try.

[whimpers]

[grumbling]

[sobbing]

But it could Gigantamax if it ate some Max Soup.

-I think I've heard about Max Soup. -[beeping]

[Goh] Here! You make it from Max Mushrooms then feed it to certain Pokémon,

then they'll Gigantamax.

That's what it says!

So how about we get you some Max Soup so you can Gigantamax, 'kay?

Tell me where these Max Mushrooms are, anyway.

[whimpers]

-In the woods. -That's awesome!

-Let's go together! -But… But it won't be that easy.

You see, there are tons of Ghost type Pokémon

living out there in the forest.

And each kind is different from the others in weird ways…

-What kind of weird ways? -They will try to stop you.

We'll get those Max Mushrooms for sure!

-[chuckles nervously] -Gengar!

[whimpers] Graveyard.

-So, the Max Mushrooms are in there? -Hm.

[Allister] They're in the very back.

They soaked up a lot of Galar Particles.

Max Mushrooms.

-Ah! -Pika?

Uh, about those Pokémon you talked about with the weird ways…

You see those spotted stones?

[Allister] Some of them are actually Galarian Corsola.

-Huh? -[chimes]

[Rotom Phone] Corsola, Galarian form.

The Coral Pokémon. A Ghost type.

This ancient form of Corsola disappeared as a result of sudden climate change.

If someone kicks it, mistaking it for a stone,

it will attack.

That means, you must never ever kick one!

Easy to say, but how do I know which is a stone or a Corsola?

-It's impossible. -I've got a great idea!

We'll just fly over to the Max Mushrooms.

That way, we won't kick any Corsola or rocks!

That definitely seems doable. I think.

-[Ash] You're up, Gengar. -Gengar!

Ash, be careful!

-I mean, just don't fall. -[Pokémon chittering]

[whimpers] Oopsie.

[all groaning]

[light suspenseful music]

[Ash grunting]

[Rotom Phone] Trevenant. The Elder Tree Pokémon.

A Ghost and Grass type.

Trevenant spread out thin roots from their feet,

connecting to the surrounding trees to control them at will.

No one in the forest hates humans as much as it does.

[shrieks]

[grumbling]

-[yelling] -[whimpering]

Ash, hurry over here, now!

[screams] Or not!

Everybody, run!

Let's get out of here as fast as we can!

-[Pokémon gibbering] -[Allister whimpering]

[all panting]

Wow! Looks like we got away from it.

And we have more Max Mushrooms! How's this?

-These will be enough, right? -Mm-mm.

-We'll need a little bit more. -[both] Huh?

[both sigh]

-Gengar! -[both] Uh?

Genga-geng.

Max Mushrooms! And something else, too.

[snoring]

[chuckles] It's using it as a pillow.

Mm-hm. Max Mushrooms seem to be a favorite.

[Rotom Phone] Drakloak.

The Caretaker Pokémon. A Dragon and Ghost type.

Drakloak can fly faster than miles per hour.

It cares for and battles alongside a Dreepy.

-[Ash] Is that one the Dreepy? -[moaning]

-Pika… -[grunts]

[Pikachu chitters]

Dreepy?

[chattering]

[Ash gasps]

[chattering]

-[muttering] -Oh?

-[snores] -Oh, no!

-It thinks I'm Drakloak! -So cute!

-It's fast asleep! -[mutters]

[muttering]

[chattering]

[chimes]

[Rotom Phone] Drakloak cannot relax without Dreepy on its head,

but other Pokémon can substitute at times.

[both gasp]

[gibbering]

[Goh] Hey, Grookey, stop that!

[chittering]

[yelling]

-[Grookey shrieking] -[Goh] What'll we do?

[Ash] What can we do?

[shouting]

[whimpering]

[mumbling]

Grookey watch out! You're gonna get thrown off!

Your Dreepy's right down here!

[Ash] Come and get it!

[Darkloak chitters]

[Drakloak] Drakloak?

-[yelling] -Be careful! Look out!

[Ash] Who's that Pokémon?

-[Drakloak] Drakloak. -[Dreepy] Dreepy!

Drakloak!

[Ash] Come and get it!

[grumbles]

[Pokémon groan]

[gasps]

[Ash] Thanks, Gengar!

[Gengar mutters]

[groans]

[Goh] Are you okay, Grookey?

[Ash] Don't slip off again.

[calm music]

[muttering]

[both chittering happily]

Sorry to disturb your afternoon nap.

[Pokémon chatter]

Dreepy, that tickles. [chuckles]

-Drakloak? -Dra?

This human would like those Max Mushrooms.

[muttering]

-[Ash] You sure? -Drakloak.

[Allister] It says it's fine.

You mean it? Aw, thank you!

-Now, let's go and make Max Soup. -We did it, didn't we?

-Gengar! -Pika, pika!

[lively music]

Now, it just needs to cook overnight, and it'll be ready.

Great, Allister! Thank you!

[Allister chuckling]

-[Ash gasps] -Pika!

[slurps] Gar!

[Ash and Pokémon cheering]

Now, let's test it out.

[birds chirping]

Hey. Did you come here to see us off?

-[Allister] Uh… -[train honking]

-[train hissing] -Oh!

Allister! Hey, listen! There's still a lot I want to talk about.

But in the meantime, I'll just settle for saying thank you!

[Ash] Take care!

-[Pokémon chitter] -Yeah, see you!

[Allister] Yeah. See you.

[narrator] Allister may be a little shy.

But thanks to him, Gengar is now able to Gigantamax.

It feels like a strong friendship is taking shape,

as the journey continues!
