I thought Ash would bring out Dragonite.

But I wonder when we'll see Dynamaxing and Mega Evolving!

and that Quick Attack to create waves of force!

[announcer] The Sky Attack may have defeated Sirfetch'd,

but Pikachu appears to have turned the tables on Hawlucha!

Though they both seem to have taken some damage.

Huh? There he goes again using those strange moves!

I know. Iron Tail was how they managed to withstand Visquez's attacks

at the Vermilion City Gym.

So why did he use Quick Attack?

Ash used the velocity of the Quick Attack

to create powerful waves of force.

-Powerful waves? -Yep.

The waves are what reduced the damage from the Sky Attack,

and they caused Hawlucha to take damage at exactly the same time.

[Bea scoffs] You have surprised me, Lucario's Trainer.

The name is Ash!

Do you normally do that kind of training?

It comes to me.

Always happens right while I'm battling!

It kind of goes "Wham!" inside my head, then "kaboom!", I just think it up!

Completely uncalculated?

Just thinking it up is quite impressive.

[Bea] And Pikachu putting it into action is even more impressive.

Which means defeating you in battle is an even more meaningful goal

for me to reach!

[grumbles]
