I can't, 'cause there's no telling whether I'll get

Why that's the appeal of Assist.

It's exciting to not know what's coming next.

Your Pokémon are all so great it doesn't matter anyway.

with time limited to three minutes each.

Coordinators will be scored on their performance by the judges

on the same one-to-twenty point scale.

And only the top of these coordinators

will continue on to the Contest's Second Stage.

Wow, remarkable.

The variety of attacks from many different Pokémon is interesting

but it doesn't allow us to get

any sense of Skitty's charm as an individual.

And another Assist.

[ASSIST MOVE]

- That looked like Solar Beam. - Impossible.

I didn't know any of May's Pokémon could use Solar Beam

and I don't think she knew either.

Skitty, what was that?

It took her by surprise and threw off her rhythm.

I wonder if maybe Solar Beam is this Munchlax's attack?

ASH/BROCK/MAX Ah.

VIVIAN 'Something's thrown May off.'

And with hardly any time left.

[gasps]

Skitty, use Assist again.

[ASSIST MOVE]

VIVIAN 'Petal Dance.'

'A beautiful and unexpected way to bring'

- That's from Bulbasaur. - Yeah, nice recovery.
