- I'm Peppa Pig! (snorts)
This is my little brother, George. (little snort)
This is Mummy Pig. (loud snort)
And this is Daddy Pig. (very loud snort and laughter)
Peppa Pig. (snorts)
(Peppa):
(narrator): Today, Peppa and friends are visiting the zoo.
(squawking)
- And here are the parrots! Hello there!
(squawking) (parrots): Hello. - Hello!
- Ah! (laughing)
(narrator): It is Larenzo Lion! (Peppa giggling)
- Hello, Larenzo. Why are you in there with the parrots?
- I'm helping my daddy feed them again.
- Hello, everyone! - Ah!!!
Oh, Mr. Lion, we were... were just admiring your parrots.
- Well, you're lucky to see so many,
because some of them are leaving today.
- They're going away to live in the wild!
- You see, the zoo cares for animals out in the world too.
- Right! Who's coming with me?
(squawking)
(Mr. Lion); Dr. Hamster will take these parrots into the world...
...and let them go! (Dr. Hamster humming)
- Off you go! (squawking)
Bye-bye!
- Do you let other animals go, too?
- We do! Follow me, and I'll let you into a little secret.
This is another animal we're letting go.
(chuckling) (others gasping) (dramatic music)
(laughter)
- It's a bit of an experiment. (kids): Dinosaur!
(laughter)
- Yes, it does look like a dinosaur.
- Are you letting that go outside?
- Yes, where it will feel at home.
- Oh, goodness me. Look at the time. We must get back.
Thank you for such an interesting tour, Mr. Lion.
- It was my pleasure. - Come along, children.
(chuckling) - Goodbye!
(narrator): The parents are waiting to collect the children from school.
- Here we are, all safe and sound.
- Hello. - Peppa, George! (George snorting)
(George giggling)
- So what was your favourite animal at the zoo?
- Dinosaur. Grrr! (Peppa gasping)
- You saw a dinosaur?
(whispering): George, it's supposed to be a secret!
- Oh... right.
- The dinosaur was alive! - What?!
- A secret experiment! - Oh.
- And they're going to let it go! - Oh!
- A secret dinosaur experiment?
- It's amazing what they can do these days.
(narrator): Everyone is talking about the zoo!
- Have you heard the news? They have dinosaurs!
Alive! At the zoo! (gasping)
It was a secret, but they showed the children.
- Dinosaurs? - It shouldn't be allowed!
- We should do something.
(phone ringing) (narrator): This is the police station.
- What? There are dinosaurs?
Alive? At the zoo? And they are letting them go?
We're on our way! (clang!)
(clamour of voices)
(siren wailing) (narrator): Everyone has come to the zoo!
- Hello, everyone. Come on in.
- Mr. Lion,
we've heard about your experiments!
(whispering): Mr. Lion, they know your secret!
- Aha. Ha-ha. Exciting, isn't it?
- Well, that's one word for it.
- Mr. Lion, are you, or are you not, keeping a dinosaur?!
- Dinosaur? Do you mean "lizard"?
- Oh. That... is a lizard.
- We heard you were releasing a dinosaur.
(laughing) - No, we're releasing a lizard back into the wild.
(chuckling) Look.
Dr. Hamster is on the other side of the world.
- Off you pop, Mr. Lizard.
Oh, you're a big fella, aren't you?
- You don't keep dinosaurs, then?
(laughing) - No, no, no.
(all sighing in relief) - Thank goodness.
- And even if we did,
I would keep that a secret.
(laughing)
(nervous laughter)
(both): Dinosaur! Grrr! (giggling)
- George and Richard love dinosaurs!
(narrator): Everybody loves dinosaurs. (laughter)
(whistling) (Peppa):
(narrator): Today, Peppa and Mummy Pig have come to the zoo.
- I like the zoo, Mummy. - Me, too, Peppa.
- It's full of interesting animals!
Oh. What is this animal?
- That, Peppa, is a sloth.
- Hmm. It doesn't do much. (Mummy Pig chuckling)
- They do things very slowly.
- There's nothing in here!
- Are you sure, Peppa?
Have a closer look there.
- Oh! It's a magic lizard! (Mummy Pig laughing)
- That is a chameleon. It changes colour to hide.
- That's amazing!
(squawking) (Peppa giggling)
And here are some colourful birdies!
- Those are parakeets.
- Hello, parakeets.
- Hello! (both): Ah!
- You are not a parakeet. - No.
I'm Larenzo Lion. (roaring)
- And I'm Peppa Pig. (snorting)
What are you doing in there?
- I'm helping my daddy.
- Hello there. - Ah! Oh! Hello there.
- Larenzo likes to help me around the zoo.
- That sounds like fun.
- I help feed the animals and clean them out.
I love the zoo!
- I love it, too!
- Do you want to see my toy zoo in my bedroom?
- Yes, please!
- Oh lovely. Did you live nearby?
- Yes, we live here!
- Oh, you live in the zoo.
- Yes. I'm here for the animals. (nervous laughter)
- Come on, Peppa. (laughter)
- Would you like a coffee, Mummy Pig?
- Ooh, coffee sounds good. Thanks.
- Hello, Mummy!
- Hello, Peppa. Hello, Larenzo. Have fun.
(laughter) - Look, Peppa.
This is my toy zoo!
- Ooh!
- These are the sloths.
They sleep a lot.
- Hello.
I'm a sleepy... sloth.
(laughter) - Hold on.
What is a chameleon doing with the parakeets?! (Peppa giggling)
- He is playing hide-and-seek.
Now you see me...
Now you don't.
(laughter)
What is your favourite animal in the zoo?
- Hmm. I do like the tortoises,
but my favourites are the penguins!
(laughing) Oh, where are the penguins?
Maybe in my other bedroom?
- What?
- I have another bedroom at my mummy's house. - Oh.
- Larenzo, Mummy Lion's here. - Hello, Mummy.
- Hello, sweetie. Are you ready to go?
- Yes. Can my friend Peppa come too?
- If that's okay with Mummy Pig. And we can have a coffee.
- Oh, another one? Lovely.
(both): Hooray! (laughter)
(narrator): Oh, dear. The chameleon is still hiding!
- Bye, Daddy! - Goodbye, son.
Thanks for all your help. (kids): Bye! (chuckling)
(narrator): This is Mummy Lion's house. - Come on, Peppa.
(laughter) This is my other bedroom.
- It's lovely!
- Now, where are those cheeky penguins?
Oh. Not here.
- Are they under the bed? - Hmm.
(laughing) - Yes, they are!
"Squawk! Thank you for finding us, Peppa."
(giggling) - How are you getting on? Did you find your penguins?
- Yes, Peppa found them!
- Ha-ha! You'll have to come again to find some more things. (laughing)
- Now you can help me care for all the animals.
- Yay! (laughing)
What do we do?
- We feed the parakeets fruit and seeds. (Peppa laughing)
(squawking)
We let the sloth oversleep.
- "I'm still sleepy..."
(laughter) - And we play hide-and-seek with the chameleon!
- Oh, where are you, chameleon?
- Oh, no! He's still hiding in my other bedroom!
Oh! (laughter)
(narrator): Larenzo and Peppa love caring for animals.
Even the animals that like to hide! (laughter)
(Peppa): Calling Kylie!
(narrator): It is bedtime on a snowy winter's night.
- Time for bed, toys.
Night-night.
Oh! What's this?
(gasping) It's the boomerang Kylie Kangaroo gave me!
(narrator): Kylie Kangaroo is Peppa's friend in Australia.
- I wonder what Kylie and her family are doing now.
- They are going to bed.
- I know. Let's call Kylie and find out.
(ringing) - Yes! Oh!
- Hello, Peppa! I can see you!
- I can see you, too, Kylie!
Are you going to bed?
- Bed? No, I just got up.
It's breakfast time.
- Huh?
Do you have breakfast before you go to bed?
- No, I've just got up. - Huh?
- It's daytime here. See?
- Daytime?!
But it's nighttime!
- Got to go, Peppa. Speak soon. Bye!
- Bye!
- So they were having breakfast.
- How is it nighttime and daytime at the same time?!
- Well, it is a bit complicated, Peppa.
- Tell me, Daddy! Please?
- Okay.
We live on a big ball in space called the Earth.
(yawning)
Kylie is here in the light, we're here in the shadow.
(yawning)
- Big ball in space...
(chuckling) - You're tired, Peppa.
Time to go to sleep. Night-night.
(narrator): It is morning. (rooster crowing)
- Breakfast! (laughter) (phone ringing)
- Hello, Mummy Pig. - Oh!
- Can I speak to Peppa, please? - It's Kylie Kangaroo!
- Oh! - Hello, Peppa. How's your day?
- I've just got up.
- Mine was really good.
We fed the Rainbow Lorikeets in the park!
(birds squawking)
Then we went to the beach and built a big sand koala.
I'll call you Sandy.
- Awesome! (mom laughing)
- It was very hot today.
- It's not hot. We've got snow!
I'll show you.
- It can't be snowing in summer!
- It's not summer, Kylie.
It's winter!
- It's a hot summer night where I am.
And it's bedtime!
See you soon, Peppa!
- Bye, Kylie!
Mummy, how is it summer and winter at the same time?
- Uh, oh, let me explain.
You see, if it's... when it's nighttime, it--
- Is it the big ball in space? - Yes.
- Okay. Come on, George. Let's go to playgroup.
(snorting) (laughter) - Ah... good.
(narrator): Peppa and George are at playgroup with their friends.
- Last night, I called Kylie in Australia at bedtime!
She was having her breakfast!
(others): Breakfast?! - That's a bit late.
- Yes, because it was daytime where she was,
and nighttime here.
(others): What?!
- This morning, she called me and said it was very hot!
Because it is summer!
(all): No! - No way.
- How does that work?
- It's something to do with a big ball in space. - Aha!
That is right, Peppa.
We live on a big ball in space called the Earth.
We are here, where the sun is shining--
- Does Kylie live on the ball, too? - Yes, she does.
But she's there, where it is dark.
- Can we call Kylie right now?
- But it is nighttime there now. She is asleep!
- Oh, yeah.
- Maybe you can call her again at bedtime,
when she gets up for breakfast!
(laughter) - I love the big ball in space!
(narrator): Everybody loves the big ball in space... space... space...
(Peppa): Hot, dry day! (laughter)
(narrator): It is a very hot day.
Peppa and George are getting ready to play in their paddling pool.
(laughter) - Ugh.
(giggling)
- Ah! Oh. - Sorry I splashed you, Mummy.
- That's alright, Peppa. (snorting)
It's actually quite refreshing.
- Could somebody splash me, please?
- Splash! (Daddy Pig laughing) - Thank you, George.
(chuckling) Now I'm lovely and cool. (snorting)
(giggling) (narrator): It is nice to be cool on a hot day.
(quacking) Here is Mrs. Duck.
- Sorry, Mrs. Duck. (snorting)
We haven't got any picnic.
(quacking)
- I think Mrs. Duck wants us to follow her.
(quacking) Are you taking us to the duck pond?
(narrator): Oh, dear. The duck pond has dried up.
(quacking) - Poor Mrs. Duck has nowhere to swim.
(quacking)
- You can swim in our paddling pool if you like.
(quacking) (laughter)
(narrator): Mrs. Duck is going to swim in Peppa and George paddling pool.
(quacking) (Mummy Pig): Oh, that's better.
(Peppa): Mrs. Duck likes swimming! (quacking)
(laughter)
(croaking) Oh, what was that noise?
(croaking) (narrator): It is a little frog.
(croaking) - Be careful not to touch him. - He's not hopping!
(Mummy Pig): No. He looks very hot. (croaking)
- Come and play in our paddling pool.
(croaking)
He can't get in!
- This piece of wood could be his ramp,
and we need to make sure he can get back out again.
(narrator): Now the little frog can get in and out of the water! (croaking)
- He's happy now! (croaking and quacking)
(Peppa giggling)
- I think our frog needs a bit more shade.
(Peppa): There you are, little frog. (all): Hooray!
(narrator): Here is a hedgehog. - Hello.
- I think the hedgehog is feeling hot, too.
- Would you like to swim in our paddling pool? - Whoa!
Spiky hedgehogs should not go near inflatable paddling pools.
- Maybe he just needs a drink.
(giggling)
(snorting) - Here you go, hedgehog.
- That's much better. (squeaking)
- Oh! I can hear another animal noise!
(squeaking) Oh! It's Tiddles the tortoise!
(squeaking) - Tiddles!
Tiddles, where are you?
(narrator): Here is Dr. Hamster. (squeaking)
- Oh, there you are, Tiddles. Tsk-tsk. You naughty tortoise,
running away from me on a hot day.
(squeaking)
- Does Tiddles want to swim in our paddling pool?
- Oh, no! Tortoises can't swim.
But they do like hot weather.
(Peppa): Can we give him some water to drink?
- Oh, that's a good idea.
Well done, Peppa and George, for looking after these animals so well,
keeping them cool and giving them water to drink.
- Would you like some water, Dr. Hamster?
- Oh, yes, please!
It's good to drink lots of water on a hot day like this! (thunder)
- Ah! (snorting) What animal noise is that?!
- That's not an animal, Peppa. That was thunder.
- Ooh. Let's get inside before it starts to rain.
(exclamations) (screaming)
(narrator): The thunderstorm has brought a lot of rain.
- Ooh!
(narrator): The animals love the rain. (quacking)
(laughter) (croaking)
(squeaking)
The rain has stopped.
- Look, Mummy!
The little frog likes jumping in muddy puddles!

and I can't see it growing.
- Yes, plants grow slowly.
Maybe some water might help?
- Okay! - Let's all water our plants!
(narrator): Plants like water.

All the plants would enjoy a bit of talking to.
- Hello, sunflower!
I hope you are happy today!
