- [sighs] [door clicks open]

- Luna! - Huh?

- The dudes from the Cherry Pit Spit

just called and guess who they want to headline the festival!

- The Moon Goats!

Band bleat!

[all bleat]

- [sighs] - Luna,

we didn't get a bleat out of you.

What's wrong? - This is huge.

- [hoarsely] Bad news, dudes.

My doc put me on shred rest and voice rest

after last night's gig.

[all gasp]

[cheers and applause]

[lively guitar music]

[screams]

Yow!

Doc said no shredding or rock screams for a month.

- We can't play

the Cherry Pit Spit without you.

- There's no way I'm letting you guys miss this opportunity.

Sam, you can take over lead vocals, and I'm sure

we can find a temporary musician to replace me.

We'll just have to hold auditions ASAP.

[upbeat rock music]

♪ ♪

[gasps]

[quacking]

- Pumpernickel, aww, you guys.

- [pants]

I hate to interrupt when you're in the zone,

but as a fellow guitarist,

I have to introduce myself.

I'm-- - Luna Loud.

Lead singer and guitarist of the Moon Goats!

I saw your last show.

You were all...

[dramatic guitar music]

- Well, I don't know if I did that.

- I'm Nina.

- As you can see, um, I'm sort of out of commission,

and the Moon Goats are supposed

to play the Cherry Pit Spit this weekend.

We're looking for a temporary guitarist.

You should totally audition.

- [gasps] Yes! Count me in!

Ya hear that, my peeps?

I might finally be in a band.

[quacking happily]

- Hey, I heard the Moon Goats landed the Cherry Pit Spit.

But how's the band gonna play without you?

- Actually, I found the perfect understudy

at the park today.

She's insanely good.

- Hmm.

- What is it? - Yeah, it's just risky

to hand your band your replacement.

[as Mr. Coconuts] So true.

You see, Ponytail here was once cast

as the lead insomniac

in the school production of "Little Shop of Snorers."

One day, she was rehearsing, and her voice just gave out.

[as self] ♪ Suddenly sleep ♪

[scratchily] ♪ More ♪

[all wince] - Ooh.

- [as Mr. Coconuts] They had to find

a temporary understudy.

[groans] - ♪ Suddenly sleep more ♪

- [as Mr. Coconuts] The new girl had such stage presence

Mrs. B decided to replace Luan permanently.

- [sighs] I don't wanna Nina to replace me.

- Then you can't let the Moon Goats hear her play.

- But I already told her about the audition.

She was so stoked!

There's no way she doesn't show.

- Hmm.

[as Mr. Coconuts] Leave that to us, doll.

We'll make sure Nina's strummed her last chords.

[as self] Oh, whoa there. [laughs]

We just mean we'll make sure

she doesn't make the audition.

[as Mr. Coconuts] Yeah, that's what we mean.

- [panting] Phew.

[light, curious music]

- [laughs sneakily]

♪ ♪

[deep voice] This is my stop.

[tires screech] Wait, uh, never mind.

[bell dings]

Wait, this is my stop.

Oh, nope. Not this one either.

Wait. Oops. - Ah.

- Silly me.

I guess it must be the next one.

- [growls]

- I can't wait to try out.

- Cool, someone here's gotta be good enough to replace me.

Okay, let's see what ya got.

[eccentric music]

[bleating]

♪ ♪

- Ooh, maybe this is my stop.

Oh, wrong again.

[chuckles] - [groans] I'm getting off!

I'm never gonna make it in time.

- [grunts, growls]

[sinister keyboard music]

- [groans]

♪ ♪

[whistle blows] - [sighs] Just my luck.

[whistle blowing]

Ugh.

[grunting]

- Whoo! - Yay!

- [pants]

Okay, back on track.

[discordant music]

[all groan]

- [sighs] We've been here for hours,

and no one has been close to good enough.

Is there anyone else out there?

- Let me take a look.

[doors rattling]

- [panting] - [gasps]

[whimpers]

- Aah! - But wait!

Oh, auditions are over?

[sighs]

[dismal music]

- Oh, look at that!

We found the perfect replacement!

Let's pack it in, people.

- But he hasn't even played yet.

- Pfft, hasn't played yet.

[laughs] Guys, don't you know who this is?

all: No.

- He's the one, the only...

- Joey. - Joey!

Musical prodigy and rock god.

all: He is? - I am?

- You can't ask someone

of Joey's caliber to audition.

It's insulting!

Besides, a tuba player will really set us apart.

- Uh, okay.

If you say so.

Welcome to the band, rock god. - [mumbling nervously]

Awesome! I didn't even think I had a chance of--

- [laughs] So modest.

[whispers] Okay, dude.

Meet me at my garage tomorrow

and I'll teach you everything you need to know for the gig.

- Sweet!

Sorry, I guess I haven't emptied my spit valve

in a while.

- All right, let the jammin' begin.

Show me what ya got, Joey.

- [inhales]

- Please be good enough, please be good enough.

[bright tuba music] [exclaims, sighs]

Thank goodness.

He's actually good enough.

Uh, dude?

Whoa! [crash]

Yee! - [groans]

Go Acorns!

- [grunts] - Sorry, Luna.

I've been in marching band since middle school.

When I rock the tuba, my feet gotta move.

- Yeah, cool, dude.

But you're gonna be on a tiny stage

where there's no room for that,

so let's try it again without the marching.

[rapid tuba music]

♪ ♪

[gasps] - Ow. Sorry, I can't stop it.

- Hmm. [gasps]

I think I know who can help us with this.

Joey, meet my sister Lynn.

Lynn, this is Joey.

- Hey. - Hut, hut.

Let's see. Uh, hut, hut.

Oh, yeah, I can work with this.

[playful music]

[bright tuba music] [weights clicking]

[both gasp]

This rapid-dry cement will hold him in place.

- [struggling]

Phew.

[both groan]

[bus scraping]

- [gasps] - What?

♪ ♪

- Hey, Luna! - Aah!

- Um, what is Joey doing?

♪ ♪

- That dude, he has a very unique creative process.

No one can see him before showtime.

Trust me!

This is hopeless. - No, it's not.

I know how to make this kid's weird one-man parade work.

[groans]

- Um, why does Joey have a treadmill?

- Uh, it's all part of his unique creative process.

Don't worry. It's gonna be great.

- Hey, Moon Goats, you're up.

- [straining]

- All right, Pit Spitters,

are you ready to rock?

[cheers and applause]

[punchy music]

- It's working!

It's weird, but it's working!

[rapid beeping]

- Aah!

- Oh! - [groans]

[all gasp]

- Uh, technical difficulties.

Luna, what is going on?

And do not say "It's part of his unique creative process."

- [sighs] I'm sorry, dudes.

This is all my fault.

I know I've let you down, but I promise, I will fix it.

I'm gonna do what I should've done in the first place.

[crash] - Ooh!

- I just need to make a quick trip to the duck pond.

- Huh, I just call it the bathroom,

but hey, whatever.

- One, two, three. Pull!

[all grunt] - Oh!

- Hey! - Aah!

- Uh, this is Nina.

[quacking]

She's who should've replaced me from the start.

She's amazing.

- Are you sure? 'Cause I don't wanna be harsh,

but your last pick didn't exactly go smoothly.

- This time you can trust me, dudes.

Nina's the real deal.

Check out those calluses.

all: Whoa! - Hey, Moon Goats!

You gotta get back out there.

People are startin' to leave.

[quacking]

- A-one, two, three!

[upbeat rock music]

♪ ♪

[cheers and applause] - Huh?

They're spitting cherry pits at us.

- [laughs] That means they like us.

Yes, we did it! - Whoo-hoo!

- I know, right?

She's totally better than me.

And listen, if you wanna replace me with her, I get it.

I just want what's best for the Moon Goats.

- Are you kidding? Sure, she's amazing,

but so are you!

- Come on, the Moon Goats wouldn't be

the Moon Goats without you.

- Aww. Aww, you guys.

[quacking] - Hey, Moon Goats!

Thanks for this awesome opportunity!

- How would you like to open for us at our next gig?

- What? Are you serious?

[squeals, laughs]

Can we do an official Moon Goats band bleat?

- Get in here, Joey!

[all bleat]

[laughter]

[big band music]

- Wah! Wah!

Aah!

You may be wondering why I'm screaming.

And no, it's not because I just found out

Lana's been hiding her booger stash in my room.

Ugh. - It's not a stash.

It's an exhibit celebrating all things nasal.

You should be honored.

- Lana, stop listening at my door!

[sighs]

Anyway, I was practicing my ride scream.

Today's the annual Udder Madness Day at Dairyland.

Clyde and I never miss it.

If you can go on the ten most stomach-curdling rides

before the park closes, you win an awesome prize.

And this year's prize is gonna be "legendairy."

- [laughs] Good one, Lincoln!

- Okay, if there's anybody else at my door,

please step away.

[everyone grumbles]

As I was saying, check out this year's prize:

this moo-tiful Tippy hat!

It's gonna look so good with the rest

of my Udder Madness collection.

Lemme show you.

[gags] Lana!

- Don't touch! Those are the fresh ones!

They need to harden!

- [sighs]

I've got a Tippy bobblehead,

an Udder backpack with squirt action,

and a light-up Tippy cheese curd bucket.

Now if you'll excuse me,

I'm off to win--

[gasps] Come on.

You weren't listening at my door too, were you?

- No! We didn't hear anything

about a light-up cheese curd bucket.

[chuckles] - Nice save, hon.

Lincoln, we just wanted to remind you

that you are on laundry duty today.

- No Udder Madness until your udder stuff is done.

- Nailed it, Dad. - [laughs]

Thanks, honey.

- Not a problem.

I'll just ask my-- - [clears throat]

"As representative for the collective group

"hereby known as the Loud sisters, I am here

"to inform you that after the five previous instances,

none of us will be covering your laundry responsibilities."

In layman's terms,

you're on your own.

- This is not good.

- I need this for tomorrow's full moon ritual.

[squelch] - This is fake blood, right?

- Sure.

- Got a game tomorrow! Need my lucky uniform.

- [gags] - Oh. Ha!

Yeah, that's just the sweat funks.

- Aah! [groans]

- Delicate cycle, cold wash,

perm press, and while you're at it,

an iced decaf latte with a splash of honey.

Now would be good.

Can't blame a girl for tryin'.

- Oh, and to get the uranium out,

use sodium hydrogen carbonate, street name, baking soda.

- Should I be wearing a hazmat suit too?

- Eh. - Don't forget my jean shorts.

Big beach day coming up.

- [gasps]

separate wash and dry cycles?

I've got a better idea.

Aah! [grunts]

[groaning]

Phew.

All loads packed at once.

Sorry, ladies. I've got a hat to win.

Cold setting should cover it.

[light music]

Ugh.

[washer whirring]

Uh-oh.

[thud]

Whoa!

[gasps]

It's busted!

Time for Plan C: mic B.

Clyde, I've got a Code Aquamarine on my hands.

- You tried stuffing your washing machine

with loads at once to get to Dairyland on time

for Udder Madness and now your washing machine is broken?

- Exactly. Do you think I can use your machine?

- Uh, I would say yes,

but I've got a Code Chartreuse over here.

- Your dads are washing their vintage rugs

and nobody's allowed to interrupt

their -hour wash cycle?

- Yup. [sighs]

I wish we had more machines here for you,

but pre-Victorian washing machines

are very hard to come by.

- [gasps] More machines!

Clyde, that's it!

Meet me at the laundromat in five minutes.

With all the machines here,

we'll be at Dairyland in no--

time? - [snores]

- Um, what is going on?

- It's Senior Day at the laundromat, little dudes.

I'm here droppin' the beats

while the wrinklies wash their sheets.

Pew, pew, pew, pew!

[upbeat music]

- Aah! Quit honkin'. Go around me.

- [growls]

There have to be some open machines.

You take that side. I'll take this one.

Taken.

One hour. Taken. Two hours!

- Got one! Hey, Linc!

- Hey, are you holdin' that machine?

No holding machines!

It's the rule! - Oh. [laughs]

My--my friend is actually on his--

- Hey, everybody!

This kid's trying to hold a machine.

[all grumbling]

- [whimpers]

Lincoln!

[washer buzzes] - Someone's done!

[mischievous music]

♪ ♪

[revs scooter]

[dramatic western music]

♪ ♪

Scoots.

- Loud.

[screams wildly]

- Aah!

♪ ♪

[groans]

- Ha ha! This wrinkly's still got it!

- This is gonna take forever.

There's no way I'm gonna make Udder Madness.

- Come on down to Dairyland for Udder Madness!

[cheerful music]

- [screams]

- Dairyland: where creams really do come true!

- Quit rubbing it in, TV!

- Clyde, wait. I've got an idea.

Udder Madness is still on.

[cheering, screams]

Dairyland, the world's largest washing machine.

Three tickets, please.

Oh. [laughs]

That's, um, my good friend, Khaki.

Yeah, he's, uh-- he's really into fashion.

- Welcome to Log Tose Intolerant,

the water-based flume ride for the log tose intolerant.

[slurps]

Please keep all hooves, bells, and udders inside the log

at all times.

Moo.

[grunts]

[both sigh]

[panel buzzes]

both: Yeah!

- We'll take three copies.

- Clyde, we only need two.

- Oh, that's right.

You two can share.

- That's one ride down. Nine to go.

Now to dry these bad boys and get another ride punch.

- Lincoln, they're not drying fast enough!

- Can we go faster, please?

- It's working!

- Can we stop going faster?

- You want it faster?

Well, okay.

- Aah!

- It's raining clothes!

I love Udder Madness Day!

[bright circusy music]

- Now going what to do we are, Lincoln?

Whoa!

I mean, what are we gonna do now, Lincoln?

- I don't know.

My laundry could be anywhere.

- [shrieks] It burns!

- And on anyone!

It's gonna take forever to find it all.

- Don't worry! We'll get your laundry

and our Tippy hats.

[bell dinging]

[both laugh]

- Yah! Aah! [bull roars]

- Aah!

Lucy's veil, Lola's pageant gloves,

Lisa's hazmat suit.

That's everything.

Now let's go finish those rides

and win that Tippy hat.

[tense music]

- Lincoln, wait! Cheese!

- Huh? We don't have time for photos, Cly--

whoa!

Bleh!

No, no, no!

[sighs]

What was I thinking, Clyde?

I should've just done the laundry the right way

like I was supposed to.

I've gotta go back home

and fix this mozzarella mess.

- I'll come help.

Clincoln McCloud always sticks together.

- [groans]

I can't let you do that, buddy.

This is my problem.

You finish those rides without me.

You deserve to win that hat.

[lighthearted music]

[curious music]

Machine repair instructions.

Here goes nothin'.

[rhythmic percussive music]

All right, here we go.

[snores] [door clicks open]

- Hey, buddy. - Aah! Whoa! [groans]

- Congrats! You got the laundry done!

- And you got a hat!

- Not just ahat.

Two hats! - But how?

- You dropped your punch ticket,

so I just rode everything twice.

- [gasps]

You're the best friend ever.

- And thank you, Lincoln.

The jean shorts are perfect.

Beach volleyball, here I come.

Ow.

[both laugh]
