Today is the day that Pickles

is going to change from a Kitty-Pillar

into a Kitty-Butterfly.

-[Pickles babbles excitedly]

That's a big change.

It's a good thing

she has a friend like you to help.



Oh! But Kitty-Butterflies have wings

and can fly.



I don't know how to help her

turn into that.



You don't know how to help her

yet.

But I bet Kitty Fairy can help us.

Sure can.

Before a Kitty-Pillar

can turn into a Kitty-Butterfly,



Kitty-Pillars need to eat lots of food

so they can grow big and strong.



Then the Kitty-Pillar builds a cozy pod

around itself, called a chrysalis.

Corsafeesius?

I like that word.

Let's see if I can say it

three times fast.



Crafeselis? Crafeselies?

Chrysotomosos? Did I get it right?

[laughs] Close enough.

The chrysalis keeps the Kitty-Pillar safe

while she grows her wings.



And when she comes out,

she'll be a beautiful Kitty-Butterfly.

[Pandy] Whoa!

Can you believe it, Pickles?

That's going to be you.

You just have

a little growing to do first.



Ooh! Then why don't we head to the kitchen

and get Pickles a yummy snack?

To make a Pom-Pom Kitty-Pillar,

you need a clothespin,

pom-poms and googly eyes,

pipe cleaners,

and glue.

First, let's bend the pipe cleaners

into an antenna shape.

Like this.

Then glue the pipe cleaner

onto the clothespin to make buggy boppers.



-Looking good so far.

-Ooh!



[Pandy] Next, glue pom-poms

all along the top of the clothespin.

Like this.

I'm doing mine in a pattern.

Don't forget the googly eyes.

Boop! Boop!

Googly-googly! [chuckles]

There. Now you have

a beautiful Kitty-Pillar.

But guess what?

You can turn your Kitty-Pillar

into a Kitty-Butterfly,

just by adding wings.

Ooh!
