[screaming] It's the Gumbus!

[chilling music plays] - Ah! [yelps]

[whimpering]

- Uh, what'cha watching, Miguel?

- Oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh!

I was just watching my favorite can-stacking channel.

- Can stacking...okay.

- It's a thing.

There's this one supermarket stock boy.

He builds forts, towers,

national monuments!

- Yeah, I see his channel has a like.

- I would've liked it twice if I could.

Anyway, he's at the store after hours, and

you gotta see it!

- And now, I shall complete

the most difficult stack of all,

only completed by one other stock boy:

the Lady Liberty stack!

[cans clatter loudly]

Hello? Is someone there?

[tense music]

♪ ♪

[metallic rattling]

Ah! [panting]

[gasps]

[screams]

[distorted static]

[distorted static]

[grunts, pants]

[echoing] It's the Gumbus!

[creature snarls]

[upbeat music]

- Whoa! What's a Gumbus?

- It's a ghost that haunts the Stock-&-Shop!

- Oh, pfft.

There's gotta be a simple answer.

Earthquake, magnets, giant prankster mice.

There's no such thing as ghosts.

What? [grunts]

How can you say there's no such thing as ghosts

when there's such a thing as us?

The Gumbus is real.

- Only one way to settle this heated debate:

we head up to the Stock-&-Shop

and tamper with the mysterious forces of the underworld.

[laughs evilly] - [whimpers]

Uh... [chuckles nervously] I'm fine just getting

the pants scared off of me in my pillow fort.

- Oh, no. April's right.

I'm gonna prove to you

there's no such thing as a Gumbus.

- Leo, no, no! I don't wanna go! Please!

- Yeah, ghost hunting!

[spooky music]

[vent clanging, all grunting and shouting]

[all shouting]

[all grunt]

- [grunts] Ow!

Mikey, why do you have that thing?

- To suck up the ghost.

It's lined with tinfoil to keep him in.

- Guys, check this out.

This place is like Christmas Morning for food.

- This place is creepy. - Creepy or awesome?

Answer: both. [metallic jangling]

- What was that? - [sighs] What?

[soft clicking] - [gasps] I heard something.

- [sighs] - Huh?

[dramatic music]

[train whistle blows]

- A model train. Simple answer.

[laughs haughtily] - Gah!

What kind of sicko puts a model train in a grocery store?

- Focus, guys. We came here to see a ghost,

and a ghost we shall see.

[evil cackling] - [yelping repeatedly]

[shrieking]

[whimpering]

[shrieks] Ghost!

- Hey, I'm not a ghost!

- And now we know for sure.

- What is the holdup, guys?

- I don't know. Ask Mikey.

- I feel like somebody's watching us! [yelps]

- Me too. Isn't it great?

- You two are nuts.

The only people here are the three of us.

[shouts]

- [screams] The Gumbus got Leo!

- [grunting]

There's no such thing as a... [grunts] Gumbus!

You?

What's the big idea?

- I'm sorry! I thought you were the Gumbus.

Wait, are you turtles?

- We're not into labels.

All that matters is we're huge fans of your haunted videos.

- Always great to meet my fans--in any form.

The Gumbus.

It all goes back to ancient times:

I'll spare you the gory details.

The greatest stock boy this store has ever seen,

Jeremiah Gumbus...

got crunched in the chains of the milk processing plant!

- [screams] - What happened

to sparing the gory details?

- Chain and soul combined, and now,

as the chain-laden Gumbus,

he haunts the aisles of the store.

Legend has it the only way to free the Gumbus

from his eternal torment is...huh?

[screams]

[distorted static and roaring]

[shouts] The Gumbus!

- Yeah! - What?

- [whimpering]

- [screaming]

- What? - Whoa!

- Uh...

- Got a simple answer for that, Leon?

- Ugh!

Obviously he's behind the cans.

Uh, yeah. [chuckles]

[stammers] It can't be. No, no, no, no, no.

This can't be happening.

There's gotta be an explanation!

[Gumbus cackles]

Huh?

- Anybody there?

- [whimpering]

- [grunts]

[liquid squelching]

Uh...a turkey?

♪ ♪

- I'm alive! - [babbles]

It's a talking turkey. - Guys, it's me, Stockboy.

The Gumbus trapped me in here. Hold on a second.

[clears throat] Hey, fans.

It's me, Stockboy. - This is happening.

- That's right. - [laughs]

This is really happening. - I know, right?

Hide behind the giblets. I'll smash you out!

- No! You'll destroy my soul. And mess up my inventory.

The only way to expel Gumbus build his greatest creation:

[object whistles] Whoa!

[eerie droning]

[fast-paced music]

[grunting]

- Mikey, hurry! [impact thudding]

[both grunting]

- [shouts]

- This is exactly what the real Michelangelo went through

when he created stuff.

And we're basically the same level of artist.

Ta-da.

[both shout] - [laughing]

- We--we did it! - Whoo!

Mikey, you appeased the Gumbus!

- Hah. What can I say? I'm the best.

Huh?

[both groan quietly]

- [gasps] [chain rattles]

- [gasps] Huh?

[can rattles]

- Uh...Mikey, use my flashlight!

- [grunts] - [gasps]

- [stuttering]

- [shrieks]

- [echoing] Gumbus!

- [wailing]

[otherworldly shrieking]

[all scream]

both: Flee!

- [screams] - Oh, I hate this, I hate this!

- [shrieks] - [laughs excitedly]

- [roars]

[April laughing, Mikey screaming]

[all shouting]

[growls]

♪ ♪

- Where's the exit? [grunting]

- Incoming, Mikey! - No, no, no, no!

- Wait, I've got you, Mikey! - How long is this

freezer aisle? - [shouts]

- Gumbus!

♪ ♪

- He's gonna block us in. - Whoo! Yes!

- [screaming] - Ramming speed!

- [groans] - Mikey!

- Hiyah!

[all shouting and grunting]

- [grunts] - [shouts]

- Look, guys, it'll be fine. You know how these things go.

As long as we stick together and don't split up,

we'll be okay.

[both gasp] - [roars]

[both screaming]

- Since this is my first time being wrong,

is it always this scary? - [shrieks] Yes!

But now that thing's got April,

and I've got the only thing that can stop it.

Get thee back to the netherworld, fiend.

[rapid samba music]

- [roaring]

- It's working, it's working!

And I don't even know what it's plugged in to.

- Yes, get him! Get that chain-laden doofus.

♪ ♪

[air hissing]

- A robot?

- Aha, right?

The simple answer. I was right!

I was right! I was right! - Oh, man.

- I was right! I was right! - I was scared of something

that doesn't even exist.

[mechanical roar]

- [whimpers] Real stuff is scary enough as it is.

[both grunt]

Defend yourself. [grunts]

- [grunts]

[shouts]

both: Oh, no.

- [cackles mechanically]

- [drawling] Apri-i-l O'Neil!

Ooh, you're gonna wish you were a ghost, Gumbus!

[percussive music] - [roars]

- Salami!

♪ ♪

- Ow!

- What? You?

- Duh.

He's literally % of the people

we know from this place.

What's this?

Ugh, you were recording the whole thing, weren't you?

- I had to because of cheapskates like you

who watch my videos but never subscribe and donate.

- What?

So you did all of this for money?

- [sighs] Look, this is my parents' store.

They don't even pay me to work here.

But there's big bucks in hoaxes.

- Looks like you're done, hoss.

We'll be taking the footage with us.

- What?

[sighs] You'll pay for this.

You will rue the day you crossed young man genius

Baxter Stockboy!

[thunder booms]

- Wait a minute. Your name is Stockboy

and you're a stock boy?

[all laugh]

- I'll teach you to laugh at me!

[cackles]

Now you will feel the wrath of--

- Baxter? Are you in there?

You were supposed to be home an hour ago!

What happened to the store?

- Oh, no, guys. It's my parents.

- Tell us if you got grounded in your next video, okay?

[announcer with Japanese accent] Scorpion treadmill!

- Congrats on the acting job, April.

- It's just a tiny basic cable show.

It knocked "Scorpion Treadmill" out of its time slot.

- Say, how'd you like to sit in the front row, Ralph?

- Okay! - [giggles]

[upbeat music playing]

- [chuckles] - Hi, kids!

It's time for "The Laughy Fun-Time Hour

with Mrs. Cuddles"!

- Mm? [eerie music]

- [echoing] Let's be friends forever.

- What? [whimpers]

[distorted screaming]

[screams] No! [heavy thud]

Not Mrs. Cuddles! - It's just as good

as I thought it would be.

- Hey, you guys know I can't watch this.

- Is my acting that bad? - No, no, no.

It ain't you, April, it's-- - Let's be friends forever!

- [shrieks]

[shouts]

[groans]

- [laughs] Raph's fear-flops make me laugh every time.

- [growls]

- Oh, red one. - What?

You think I'm afraid of Mrs. Cuddles?

Uh, I'm just upset about something else,

which I'll think of what that is later.

- Be nice, guys.

You know, I bet a sandwich would make you feel better,

Raph.

- [giggles] - [yelps]

- Wish I had sandwiches for brothers.

Be better than those jerks.

Okay, sure, I'm a little jumpy, all right?

But afraid? Raph don't do afraid.

[shrieks] It's in the lair!

[grunts, gasps]

[grunting repeatedly]

[shouts, growls]

[all chuckling] - Oh, I'm enjoying this.

- The guys tell me Mrs. Cuddles totally freaks you out,

so I brought her over in a trunk for a sweet prank.

- Hey, no hard feelings, okay, big brother?

"Let's be fwends fowever!" [laughing]

[squeaker squeaking]

- Good one, making my heart almost explode.

[sobbing] And for the record, these are tears of laughter.

[tearfully] I'm laughing at you.

[chilling music]

[shudders] You got this, Raph.

Forget about her evil eyes

and those floppy ears that are always taunting you.

[squeaker squeaks, Raph gasps]

Hey, where'd she go?

[gasps]

I--I must've forgot I put it there.

Yeah, that's it.

Mmm. Hmm?

- Who wants a pickle-wickle?

[cackling] - It's alive!

[shouts] And getting bigger!

- Howdy-hi, big screamer.

Usually, I hear giggles all day,

but what I love is screams!

They make me grow and grow and grow!

- [shouts] You guys! Mrs. Cuddles is real!

- Scaredy-pants say wha?

- What?

Okay, fine, you were right.

I am afraid of Mrs. Cuddles!

But it turns out, she's really real.

- Okay, we get it. We took the joke too far.

- [sighs] Watch!

Okay, demon. Reveal yourself!

[squeaker squeaks]

[mysterious music]

- When you're ready to grow up and be an adult, Raphael,

we'll be in the arcade.

- Guys, don't leave me alone with the...

It's only a bunny. You can do this.

Just show her you're not afraid of her.

[intense music]

[screams]

- Agh, bunny on every show. And commercial?

I mean, come on, who buys an SUV from a bunny?

- Have you seen Mrs. Cuddles?

She's vanished.

She's out there just waiting to pounce.

- [giggles] - [screams]

Save yourself!

- I will never marry any of them off.

[hip-hop beats] - [grunts]

- Whoo-hoo! Yeah!

- [grunts] [all shout]

I can't find Mrs. Cuddles! - You lost the puppet?

Oh, man, I am so fired. I'll check the kitchen.

- If you're gonna go, take a bat!

Or the Turtle Tank.

Hey! And don't scream!

- Hmm-mm.

[groans] How could you lose cuddles, April?

[grunts]

[grunts, groans] - Hey, I know you from work!

- Not funny, Raf.

That is the worst Mrs. Cuddles impression

I have ever heard. Hey, there you are.

- [giggles]

- [screams]

- [sighs] Which project to work on:

The self-cleaning toothpick

or the titanium bust of myself?

Like I need to ask.

Huh?

[sarcastically] Oh, dear me. Gasp. It is Mrs. Cuddles.

Nice try, Raph. Come on out.

- No Raphy. - Ah!

- Just wittle old me.

[flatly] Oh, my banana pancakes.

Huh, I don't know which is crazier:

a talking puppet or Raph actually being right

about something.

- [giggles] You're kooky.

Now, give me a scream!

- A scream? But you're so cute.

Why would I... [babbles]

[saw whirs]

[metallic clang]

[dramatic musical sting]

[screams]

- Thank you for my scream!

- Help! Help! Help! - Donnie!

- Help! - [whimpers]

I really, really hope this is another prank, Donnie.

[metallic clattering]

Ah! Donnie!

[exhales] It's just Donnie's head.

- Penny for your thoughts, Raphy!

- [whimpers] Where's Donnie?

- In a happy place where he'll scream

and I can grow forever.

And now, you're gonna join him! [saw whirring]

[cackles] - [grunts]

[both grunting]

- [screaming]

[echoing clang]

Ah! [panting]

[shouts]

- Hiyah! [giggles]

- [grunts]

[struggling]

[grunts]

- [groans]

- [pants] Thanks, Donnie's head.

- [sniffles] You're such a meanie.

- No! - [grunts]

- Ugh, you feel so oogy!

- No, n--gah! [growls]

- [panting]

- Ugh! Hey.

- Now to lock you up till I figure out

how to shrink you and get you back in your trunk.

[muttering] She's gotta be strong enough

to hold King Kong. No, no, no.

Way stronger. She'd demolish Kong.

[stammering]

Carry the six... [muttering indistinctly]

- Whoa, we really broke this poor guy.

Wanna skateboard?

- [sighs] I left my napping robe here

when I was playing "Zombie Unicorn."

- Sorry, Pops. There's a great evil in there

that I'm protecting us from.

- Why didn't you say so, red one?

I'll guard the door while you grab the weapons.

- Great idea!

- [grunts approvingly]

- [giggles]

- It's gonna be okay, Raphy. There's no way that bunny can--

[whimpering] Oh, boy.

- Whoo-hoo! Yeah!

[hip-hop beats]

Ha-ha--ah!

[grunts]

[whimpers] - You're real?

- I hope you two scream as loud as the red one.

[both scream continuously]

- Hiyah!

[screaming continues]

[cloth stretching]

[giggles]

- [screams]

[impact lands]

- So when she kept growing,

that wasn't a clue to stop screaming?

- Sorry, but hopefully Raph heard me.

- Astronauts heard you.

[Mikey screaming]

- Why can't we just scream for help now?

Oh, right. We scream, she grows.

Not smart. Got it. - I'm starting to think

this prank was a bad idea.

- I'm sorry if we got off on the wrong foot, but

please don't hurt me.

[tense music]

[whimpers]

- [giggles] You're such a silly Billy.

[giggles]

- Whoa. You're huge.

Uh, I see you met Mikey.

Wait, where is everyone?

- [giggles] Don't you worry about them.

- Look, sure, you scared me at first, but now?

Now I see you're nothing but an average, everyday

ginormous bully.

And Raph ain't afraid of bullies!

- We'll see about that.

[grunts]

- Uh-oh. - Hiyah!

- [grunts]

[growls]

- Oh!

[grunts]

[laughs maniacally]

- [screams]

[grunts]

- [laughing] Look at you, Red!

- No! No giggles. I hate giggles.

Stop giggling!

- [laughs]

No one roughs up my family

or interrupts my TV regimen.

You made a powerful enemy, rabbit.

- [grunts]

[both grunting]

- Hiyah!

Hiyah! - [grunts]

- Hiyah! - [groans]

- [shouts]

- Oh--ow! - Ow! [spits]

Why?

- Ooh, someone has a case of cottonmouth.

[laughing]

[air hissing] - [groaning]

- Wait. She's getting smaller.

- Stop! You're just like those kids on my show.

Their giggles steal my power. [screams]

[all grunting]

- Keep at it, Pops. The laughing shrinks her.

- How can I laugh when that bunny is so ferocious?

[laughing]

I'm sorry, I couldn't say that with a straight face.

[laughs] - Hiy--

- Ha! - [groans]

Oof! [grunts, squeaks]

Oh, just don't put me back in my trunk

and send me back to the kids!

- [chuckles] Hey, that's a great idea.

So great, I wanna scream about how great it is.

But I won't.

So long, pal!

Let's be friends for never.

[both laugh] - Good one.

- "For never." - Guys?

- Anybody there? - Can somebody untie us?

- I'm afraid of togetherness.

- [chuckles] We will get right to that.

[suppresses laughter] Eventually.

[laughs]
