So this particular corset -
obviously we've adapted it
in different ways -
was very recognisable because of
these concentric circles
forming this cone that is the kind
of key feature of this garment.
Yeah. They have to sew these cones
very, very well.
We've given them very specific
instructions about the placement
of the first line and then the
spacing between each one.
They also have to sink-stitch
the cone section.
That has to be absolutely
in the ditch, there.
And what do you think
they'll find most challenging?
There are loads
of different materials.
We've got a power mesh here,
we've got a picot elastic,
we've got a different elastic here.
So handling all of those has
to be done extremely accurately.
They need to put in the zip well.
Making sure that the zip runs
cleanly, top to bottom,
and doesn't feel like it's pulling
in any direction.
They also need to put the bones
in well
because it can break through
the top.
It looks fab,

It's fiendishly difficult. Yes.
Could have some lopsided cone boobs.
There's a lot of fiddly things.
I'm not so good with fiddly things.
My one goal for this week is -
please, God - don't come last!
It'll be fine.
I'll just follow the instructions.
To start the cone bra,
wadding is fused to two cup pieces
and top-stitched
with eight concentric circles.
Then the dart seam is sewn to create
the cone shape.
Next, the front portion
of the strap is assembled
and sandwiched between
the cup and lining.
To construct the bodice,
ribbons are sewn to the mesh
to create channels for boning.
Decorative elastic is then basted in
place along both edges,
and the straps are sewn in
before the mesh lining is attached.
The bodice is then turned
right side out
and top-stitched along the top
and bottom edges.
Next, the zip is sandwiched between
the front panels and lining,
and these are attached
to the mesh bodice.
Ribbon is then stitched over
the seam for boning.
The cups are inserted
and the lining is secured
by stitching in the ditch.
Finally, the shoulder straps
are threaded through and finished.
Right, hello.
