first team challenge.

You will be working in two teams

Each team will collaborate on

a cohesive mini-collection of
four looks.

The concept for the collection

completely up to your team.

Whatever you want to create

as a collaborative team, you

challenge.

Each team will be shopping at
Mood

we don't know yet.

Your budget

depends upon how well you can

sell your collection concept

to a group of mystery investors.

I'm used to doing pitches.

I'm a business scholar,

I'm quite excited about it.

I've definitely pitched to

my parents that counts, right?

Each team will have

There is a lot riding on these
pitches.

Each of them mystery investors
has $1,000.

They will decide how to

divide up between the teams and.

The designers on the winning
team will each receive

$5,000 to build their
business compliments of Mary

I'm a little nervous about

my teammates because these

roommates and I haven't

had a lot of interaction with

I don't really care what

long as I'm on a team where I

We have a really fun and
really bad-a*s side to us,

so I'm thinking that should be

I present a lot in front of

investors and I did a pitch in

front of Goldman Sachs and
Babson College

so I can pitch.

Alex knows the business side

and he can articulate very well.

This is a high waisted dress
so

it's a blouse up around the
breast.

I can totally do a wool

a coat that has mauve and

yellow and black together,

Well, I don't think she's

selling this to?

feeling

of the same look for each one of
your girls,

so there's a cohesion.

This is ice cocoa

and it's a cream eye shadow.

This is really good for me

turned this collection around

elements to it.

it really was a breath of

It's got many possibilities

Putting that embellishment on

pockets,

I thought it was fantastic.

but the rest of it saved the

I did the yellow skirt and

everything else they needed

pants and Dexter

constructed and tailored them to
fit.

so beautiful and it is so well

This looks like a $2,000

jacket that came right out of
the store.

The yellow coat is really
terrific,

it's a standout.

The look that I created was

the wool lame dress.

I created the b*mber jacket.

I create the vest, and the
belt.

This vest that you've made
Mah-Jing, is

beyond beautiful.

This is my favorite in this
whole collection. .

I made the brocade trousers,

with the tuxedo shirt.

I made the jacket with the
faux lapel,

but we actually all touched
every piece,

we helped each other finish it.

I think your jacket here
looks fresh,

but the pants underneath

looks like it's been in the
tumble dry.

What about you Alex?

The last dress in the
presentation,

we have that very a line dress

which when we went back and
reanalyzed

didn't really fit in.

We all took a look at it and
decided to

streamline it and make

it a little bit more modern.

It just doesn't look as sharp
and polished as the rest,

especially from the back.

I don't know what's going on
back there,

but it does look a bit.

A metallic fabric on a fitted
dress like that,

unless it is perfectly sewn,

is going to show everything.

I just want to say how proud
I am of everyone.

I've been working in the
industry

for a really long time.

I would be so proud to

work with any of these people
again.

I am unbelievably grateful for
the opportunity to

learn from younger people that
are so passionate.

That's why, this is so hard

because we were so close in the
room.

I wish there was that one

that we could throw under the

but we did collaborate,

it was a design team.

Of course, the strapless

in the metallic denim ill
