My dad lived here
when I was a kid,

so my mom
would have to drive halfway

for the drop off
and exchange of the kids.

- How old were you
when they got divorced?

- I think I was, like, five.

My dad was an amazing father.

He did not have me
until he was in his 50s,

and when I would be with him
for the weekend,

he would always take us
to the beach and pack a picnic

and make it
a really special day,

so I have a lot
of very positive memories

of being in Santa Barbara.

It's so, like, mellow here.

Well, my dad called me

'cause I didn't want my dad

obviously seeing me
in that situation,

so I told my mom
those were coming up.

So she had him
leave the theater,

and she left with him, too.

When I did "Wild Things,"

that was a tough
decision for me,

because I was raised
in a very conservative family

and went to church every week.

I was raised Catholic.
I was a good Catholic girl.

He wouldn't want to see
his daughter that way anyway.

And my mom was the one
