The dress is swinging and
Looks so light and lively.
It's beautiful.
The shine, you can actually see
The detail of the quilting,
Which is something I didn't
Think you would see.
The ombre, you do not see it
Nearly as well as you did
In the workroom, and that's a
Little worrisome, because it's
Starting to look muddy, and
That's not really my intention.
Ooh, way to swirl in it.
Ooh, lisa, I love you.
The way she's walking and
Just giving so much drama down
The runway, it's beyond
Beautiful, it's breathtaking.
It captures my inspiration.
It captures the look and feel of
London that I want to portray.
I'm just so happy and proud just
Because it says "stanley."
It looks like me.
It evokes my design aesthetic,
Everything about it.
I am seeing the layers that I
Saw on the street.

Different, the yoke is

I can see some paris in

I embraced that fabric store
In berlin and used what they
Had, even though it was a
Man-made pleather.
It is exciting to me.

Daniel, tell us about your trip,
Your inspiration, and your look.
Berlin turned the volume up
For me on attitude and sex
Appeal, and actually, the
Architecture had a big impact
On me.
So I was inspired by this
Building by the marketplace.
And actually, this is pleather.
And the piecework in this
Reminds me of the building that
We saw that had all the angles.
I think you captured very
Well the beat of berlin.
I mean, it has that underground
Movement.
It is very edgy.
I love this jacket.
I like very much what you did
With the boots.
Did you make that?
Yes, ma'am.
That's a wedge, and I made the
Stocking and then molded it to
Her leg.
That pulls that whole look
Together, and it turns it into
A showpiece.
Uh, could I see the dress?
Because the dress is really very
Beautifully draped, too.
I cut it on the bias.
I was fortunate enough to let it
Drape.
Phenomenal.
Really good work, daniel.

Actually, I think the least
Exciting thing to me about it
Was the white pleather.
But I love the dress underneath.
I love the boots.
I definitely see berlin.
I've been there many times.
I think you are very brave
For working in white pleather.

There's some humor to that,
But you know, sometimes, there
Is something sort of weird and
Often futuristic in there that
That works, and I think you
Pulled it off, and I think the
Whole look looks terrific.

You know, this looks like a
Young, modern, hip girl.
I see also the inspiration of
Berlin, because berlin is very
Much about architecture.
It's quite hard and strong.

When I got the card saying I
Was going to london, I knew I
Wanted to play with fantasy.
For some reason, I just kept
Going dark.
We got to sketch at the abbey
And the parliament building.
It's from the georgian era, and
I wanted to design something
That the ladies wore at that
Time and just kind of modernize
It, so I came up with just
A long column with a cape.
When you take it off, it just
Has this sexiness to it.
These are leather sequins that I
Chose to line the inside with.
And this is it.
I absolutely love this.
I love the capelet.
It came down the runway, and it
Was dramatic.
But what I love the most was
That glimpse of luxury with the
Paillettes on the inside.
Really well done.

I think you really turned up
The volume by being very simple
In a way, which is kind of hard
To do, right?
Sometimes you have to do it with
A lot of bright colors or crazy
Prints.
But the silhouette is actually
Quite simple.
But it's very, very strong and

Layana, tell us about your
Look.
Well, my trip was to
Barcelona.
I was so inspired by the old
Feeling, the architecture.
'Cause a lot of, like, the
Houses and the buildings have
This, like, tile work and
Intricate patterns they're
Painting on, and that's what I
Came up with.
Well, I think that when I
Think of barcelona, and I think
Of spain, I think of tiles,
I think of lace.
It looks nicely made.
For me, the sleeve was a big
Eyesore.
Those sleeves!
Why?
[Laughs]
Why?
This outfit looks so
Old-fashioned, and old-fashioned
Coming from a very young
Designer is kind of tragic.
Barcelona is a city full of
Color, full of incredibly
Passionate heritage.
I'm not getting that from this
Coat.
The neckline, what you did up
Here, is actually quite
Interesting.
I mean, there is something here
That could've been actually
Really good, but she has no sex
Appeal, your model, today.
She looks like an older lady
From barcelona that's wearing a
Housecoat, you know, completely
Covered up.
I didn't like it.
I would wear it.
I like it.
When someone has gone through
All this effort and gone to
Barcelona to design this
Beautiful piece, the woman
Should feel hot, and I just
Don't feel like most women
Would feel hot wearing this.
Can we have a look at what is
Under the jacket?
Much nicer.
There is something romantic
And feminine and engaging from
That blouse, 1,000 times more
Than this coat.
And the sleeves are actually
Very beautiful, had you cut them
Shorter.

Look.
As soon as we were out into
The city of paris, I started to
See graffiti, and it was like
Art installation graffiti by
The way they would draw
Something really quick and then
They post it on the walls with
Other graffiti.
So I wanted to create a textile
That was very much like the
Graffiti.
It's like painting with fabric.
Well, I wrote on my notes, I
Wrote "trash couture."
Oh.
You know, I really appreciate
Your textile development.
I'm really interested in this
Idea of decoupage graffiti.
Right.
I like the idea of painting
With fabric.
Right.
I don't really see it in
Front of me.
It sort of looks a little messy,
A little bit collapsed and lumpy
And dumpy.

Probably one of the most
Inspiring cities in the world.

I'm a little underwhelmed
With this.
It looks so odd.
It feels almost like cotton

Little ombre effect in paint.
To me, this is a comeback.

Have more time to really be able
To work my textiles and to do a
Different look that has not ever
Been done before.
And as far as people that I'd
Like to see at fashion week,

Feminine sexy out, because my
Sexy's not quite like that.

We all agreed we all loved his

I love that he added an
Element of a cape.

He created something great

He's polished.

He's poised.
He obviously is using historical
References, but what we see in
Front of us doesn't feel dated.
I'm a big fan.
I'm a fan of his too.
