Can I see the back of it?
Yeah, I just think that's so
pretty.
It's really, really beautiful.
Good job.
Thank you.
I like all the tones, the
taupe mixed.
I like the asymmetry.
I hate your styling.
You need to bring her into
modern times.
I second-guessed that, yeah.
You know, I mean, I want to,
like, scrub her lips, pull her
hair into a ponytail, because
the design is fabulous.
Thank you.
Josh.
I had a T-shirt and sweats.
This little jacket hoodie.
Um, I quilted some of the
panels.
And then on the T-shirt, you
know, manipulated the fabric a
little bit.
I was definitely looking for a
summery, fun, maybe a little
more athletically inspired look.
Are you happy with the way
that it fits your model?
Um, I think there were some
issues.
There's some fit issues maybe in
the front of the shorts.
I actually had to, you know,
take out a little bit in the
shirt as well.
But, I mean, those are things
that you learn for next time, I
guess.
I don't know which one is
worse.
Rafael's or yours.
Oh, boy.
This top, it's terrible.
What is this thing down the
front that is like--is that the
piece that you had to put in
because it didn't fit?
I mean, the front, right around
here, is the most important
thing on the garment, no?
Right, right.
It's so terrifying, because I
feel like I wish somebody else
had told me throughout this,
"That doesn't look good."
It is not up to any of the
other designers to tell you that
you're going the wrong way.
You're totally right.
I agree.
What this is all about is
your gut.
Sure.
You are in a competition of
design, and you are going to
show me a pair of white shorts
and a tank top?
I need to see something
creative, exciting, imaginative.
I get it.
I mean, there definitely has to
be something more than what I'm
doing.
Thank you.
Okay, we're gonna have a
little chat.
And then I'm gonna bring you
back out.
You can leave the runway.
Anya.
[Cheers and applause]
Oh, God, how was it?
It was intense.
It's very hot.
What's going on?
It's a disaster.
They hated it.
They hated it?
[Sighs] They hated it, yeah.
Like, the word "hate"?
Like, yeah.
They were like, "I don't know
whose is worse, Rafael or
yours."
I've essentially just taken the
beating of a lifetime.
It is...Like having someone look
into your soul and tell you
everything bad you've ever done.
It is terrifying.
Based on the fact of what
they had to work with, I think
our designers came up with a
great fashion show today.
It's not easy to take a
poly-cotton blend sheet, which
doesn't sew that easily, doesn't
take to dye that well, and come
up with something creative and
polished.
But I also have to say, there
were some really ugly things on
that runway as well.
Mm-hmm.
Josh, for example.
I mean, that was really bad.
That was hideous.
I mean, I-I don't know much
about how you fix this.
You could have put a side
panel, like a tuxedo stripe, up
the side of the shorts.
You could've hidden, in the back
of the T-shirt, a seam.
It wouldn't have looked so
garishly...
Off.
It was a problem.
But I don't know which one
was worse, because Rafael's is
just as bad.
But the shirt kind of saves
it a little bit.
Mm...
Do you think? No?
I don't think Rafael
understands that there is a
problem.
I don't either.
I think he thinks this tight
stuff is good.
Excuse me, it looks like she
went out to eat, she ate too
much, and had to unsnap her
shirt.
Not very fashion-forward.
Fashion-backward.
Fashion-backward.
Julie, close third.
[Groans]
Also pretty bad.
No, but you look at what
Julie had to work with.
You know, and she's wearing this
juvenile pajama pant.
Right.
Who would want to wear that
print?
But you could take that print
and you could make it something
wearable by making it darker,
and then match it with a color
that goes with something that's
more sophisticated.
Not bright yellow.
I wasn't so offended by the
print.
It was the pant that went to
south.
And it was the construction of
the pant, actually.
Let's talk about the
designers that we do like.
We liked Anya.
She knew we doubted her.
Yes.
So she really was smart and
thought about it.
And she said, you know what?
I'm gonna make a beautifully
tailored pair of trousers.
Yes, she was clever with
that.
Yep, it looked perfect.
And focused on the pant.
The pant was quite
impressive, I have to say.
I was like, wow.
I liked the top very much.
I always said that she should
be in here.
You guys weren't so sure about
that.
I was sure. I wanted her.
I love the taste.
I just was unsure of the fact of
saying that someone could be
that much of a wizard, that they
could do all of this in such a
short period of time.
We also liked Anthony.
Anthony Ryan.
That T-shirt was adorable.
That's something that we all
would want to have, yeah.
All of us.
It looked cool.
It looked great.
It--he didn't embellish it too
much.
I like the overall look.
I like that he kind of left
her a bit disheveled to go with
the fact that his look wasn't
totally put together and
polished.
He knew to--to do that.
And I liked that about it.
Yeah.
Bert!
I have to say, I like Bert.
And he listened, because we
said, you know, Bert, you have
to turn the volume up a little
bit.
I think it was the most
interesting garment--
Yeah, very nice.
As far as design, that we saw
today.
Yeah.
Yeah, very sophisticated.
The styling freaked me out.
Oh, the Farrah Fawcett hair
and then the heels.
No, I loved the dress so
much, I didn't even notice the
bad styling.
'Cause the dress is great.
Yeah.
I think he's a good designer.
Yeah, I do too.
So have we made our
decision?
All right, let's bring them back
out.
One of you will be named the
winner, and one of you will be
out.
One of you will be named the
winner, and one of you will be
out.
Bert...
Congratulations.
You are the winner of this
challenge.
Thank you so much.
[Applause]
Danke schoen.
Bitte schon.
I'm happy to say that you have
immunity for the next challenge,
and you cannot be eliminated.
That's the best.
Thank you.
You can leave the runway.
Thank you.
Guys.
[Whispering] You guys.
Good job.
Thank you.
My right hand, I had to keep it
in my pocket, because it was
sort of going like crazy.
I thought, "I'm gonna have a
stroke here on the runway."
But, um, that didn't happen.
I feel amazing.
And I'm very relieved.
And?
I won.
Really?
[Cheers and applause]
Best part is I have immunity
for the next challenge.
Whoo!
Congratulations!
Thank you, guys.
Congratulations. Good job.
We all did a great job.
Good job.
Why are you shaking, then?
'Cause I'm a little freaked
out.
Oh, no.
I think I might have
discriminated against Bert a
little bit just because of age,
you know?
I was blown away.
I thought Bert did a great job.
[Relieved sigh]
Anya, you're in.
You can leave the runway.
Thank you.
[Whispers] Nice job.
[Whispers] Good luck.
Anthony Ryan, you're in.
You can leave the runway.
Thank you.
[Whispers] Good job.
Josh, Julie, Rafael.
Your designs were clearly less
successful.
Julie.
You're in.
You can leave the runway.
Oh, thank you.
[Whispers] Good job.
Josh...
You're in.
[Sighs]
Thank you.
Thank you.
But barely.
You won't regret it.
Thank you.
[Exhales]
Rafael, unfortunately, that
means you're out.
Auf wiedersehen.
[Smooches]
All right.
Best to you.
Thank you.
Thank you guys so much.
I definitely enjoyed my time
here.
Just because I'm off the show
doesn't mean the sewing machine
is turned off.
It's always something I'm going
to strive to do.
Oh, Rafael.
Well, clearly, it's me.
Aww.
Thank you guys so much.
It's been fun.
All you guys are lovely.
Amazing.
Hey, Tim.
Hi, everybody.
Hi, Tim.
Rafael, we're gonna miss you.
You've made a--such a positive
impression in such a short
period of time.
Thank you so much, Tim.
So I have to send you to the
workroom to clean up your space,
okay?
We're gonna miss you.
Thanks so much, Tim.
You take care, all right?
Bye, Rafael.
All: Bye, Rafael!
Do good! Bye!
We'll see you around.
I'm just gonna continue to
push the bar.
I'm just gonna continue to knock
down doors, break down barriers,
and just really fight for myself
as a designer.
And just continue living my life
and my dream, and just sewing.
This season on
Project Runway...
Welcome to Petland Discounts.
Holy crap.
We're dressing dogs.
Hi!
Hello.
We're headed to our first
outdoor runway ever.
It's just madness.
Let's see your butt in that.
There's no time for worrying.
I just have to get it done.
Olivier's stressed.
Oh, my God.
I am struggling to stay in
the game.
I will not have it, Bert.
I can see it's getting very
stressful.
In the history of
Project Runway, I've never ever
felt this worried about people
not finishing.
It feels like there's a black
cloud over me.
If this is too hard for you,
you can go anytime.
That looks bad.
That does look bad.
Just keep going, that's what
you have to do to survive in
this competition.
You're gonna be fine.
I am shocked.
She looks like an old
grandmother.
And then the hair is crazy!
And I even said, this looks
like a c*ck dress.
You're just lying right now.
No, I'm not.
Yes, you are.
I haven't probably gotten
this pissed since I had cancer.
to learn more about the fashion
you've seen on tonight's show.
