Post by bunniefuu »

-He's dead. -Dead?

She told me she would do it.

She threatened to do it, and she did it!

Let, uh, the second Mrs. Ewing

give the soon-to-be third Mrs. Ewing

a friendly warning.

The first Mrs. Ewing...

doesn't go away.

-Is Val here? -No.

Dear God, what's the matter?

She was just out at the ranch. She took my g*n.

We don't have much time before she finds out you're still alive.

-Then what? -You two guys handle our buddy.

I'll take care of Jean Hackney.

[theme music playing]

[music continues]

[music continues]

Valene, where have you been?

Laura called here, and she said--

-Where are my babies? -Well, they're in the kitchen.

-What are they eating? -Soup.

-Soup? -Yes.

-I want them to have vegetables. -Okay.

-Green vegetables, alright? -Really?

You've been to the store?

Laura said you ran off hysterical--

Now stop right there!

-What is wrong? -I'll tell you what's wrong.

I just saw Greg Sumner.

He's alive, do you know what that means?

It means we should all be relieved for Laura.

-It means that Ben... -What?

It means that Ben is...

What?

He's gone.

Well, Valene, he's away on business.

-You said so yourself. -No, no, no.

-What? -No, mama, don't you understand?

-Don't you see? -What?

He's dead.

Dead?

She told me she would do it. She threatened to do it.

And she stood right there, and she said...

-"...If Greg Sumner isn't--" -[Lilimae] Who?

Jean Hackney, that's who!

And I didn't stop her. I didn't-- I didn't--

I-- I didn't even raise a hand!

I could have-- I could have stopped her.

I could have-- Why didn't I stop her?

Why didn't I do it? I could have--

-Shh. -He would be alive.

Why?

-[Lilimae] Shh. -[clattering]

Bobby, come on. Come on, honey.

No, mama, don't.

[Lilimae] Come on, honey.

Come on.

-Bobby? -He's right here.

Come here to mommy. Come here, give mommy a hug.

Come here, sweetie. Give me a hug.

That's a good boy.

[melodramatic instrumental playing]

[Bobby cooing]

Go to Gooma.

Go on.

[Lilimae] Valene.

Where are you going?

[mournful instrumental playing]

[door clicks closed]

[paper shredder whirring]

Greg Sumner is alive.

And you better hope Gibson didn't say

one word about you.

[Ben over recording] Don't! Don't joke.

I don't have a choice, it's you or my family.

If I don't k*ll you, they'll k*ll my family,

they'll k*ll me.

And then just send somebody else to k*ll you anyhow.

[Greg] Who's "they? "

[Ben] Don't worry about who they are.

Gibson didn't say a word.

Sumner doesn't even have any idea

who we are, that I'm involved.

Good, because he still has to die.

And he better be dead

before the press finds out he isn't.

You know how to make a rumor come true,

don't you, Jean?

Don't be ridiculous!

I don't attend to those sort of details, you get someone else.

There's no time.

You bungled it, you finish the job.

[dramatic music playing]

[street din]

[siren wailing]

[horns honking]

[jackhammer clattering]

I knew Greg was alive.

-I'm in a hell of a position. -Come on, get ahold of yourself.

Yeah.

Thanks to you and your advice, I'm up the creek now.

I didn't give you any advice,

I merely suggested some options.

I mean, after all, your brother disappeared

without telling anyone where he was.

That wasn't very smart, was it?

Well, neither was suggesting

that I was assuming control of Galveston Industries.

-I don't like looking foolish. -Then don't look foolish.

Look collected. Look responsible.

Yeah, it's easy for you to say.

You don't have to explain yourself to Greg Sumner.

Peter, you have the wrong attitude.

It's Greg Sumner who's going to have to explain himself to you.

I mean, you didn't enjoy

being forced to make a public statement,

but someone had to step in,

and stabilize the company, didn't they?

From now on, Mr. Sumner is going to have to behave

much more responsibly.

After all, you can't-- You can't cover up for him

every time he does something ridiculous, can you?

Valene would be furious if she knew I was calling you.

Well, I know I shouldn't be calling you,

but Ben is out of town,

and I don't know who else to turn to.

Valene is acting so peculiar.

And when she had problems like this before--

Well, I thought maybe you could help again.

No.

I don't know where she is!

[tense instrumental playing]

[g*n c*ck]

[g*n clicking]

[door clicks open]

-Hi. -Hi.

Uh, have you talked to Val lately?

No, I've been trying to.

Well, I just got off the phone with Lilimae.

She said that Val was rambling on something

about Sumner being alive and, uh, Ben being dead.

-What? -Yeah, and then she said

she ran out of the house and drove off.

Look, I don't know what's going on here,

but if you find out anything, would you let me know?

-I will. -Thanks.

[dial buttons clattering]

[door clicks closed]

[phone ringing]

Mr. MacKenzie's office.

Peggy, I'd like to speak with Mack.

Oh, he's not here, Mrs. MacKenzie.

I haven't seen him all afternoon.

I don't know where he is.

When he comes in, tell him to call.

[receiver slams]

[Mack] Well, I hope all your business stuff was successful.

Quite.

I finished up a lot quicker than I imagined.

-Good. No problems. -Yeah.

The best defense is a strong offense.

The element of surprise can be very offensive.

Aside from one associate,

Jean Hackney is operating alone here.

You guys have been pretty busy since I left.

-Yeah. -[Greg] Why you doing all this?

Well, you know, I've got to do something to stay busy.

For Ben?

[awkward laugh] Yeah, for Ben, for Val--

For Laura?

[laughs] Come on, what is this?

Yeah, for Laura.

We don't have much time

before she finds out you're alive.

Yeah.

Then what?

Then she'll come looking for me.

You two guys handle her buddy.

I'll take care of Jean Hackney.

[unnerving instrumental playing]

Do you wanna close up out in back?

Okay.

Can I help you?

I was wondering-- I wanted to know how much a g*n costs.

Shotgun? r*fle? Handgun?

-Handgun. -Handgun.

Okay, you wanna step over here then?

Okay, let's see, we got a.25 automatic here.

It's on special today. Pretty nice.

[Ben's voice] Never forget that I love you.

I love you too. Please don't do this.

[sobbing] Please don't do it.

[Ben] You stay with the kids,

and you take care of those children.

-Take care of them. -No.

I love you.

[soft instrumental playing]

I'll take it.

I'm going to need some b*ll*ts

and, uh, ammunition too, of course.

Sure, we'll give you whatever you need

when you come back to pick up the g*n.

Fill this out for me, please.

-What-- What's that? -It's a form.

You fill it out, and you come back in 15 days,

you pick up the, uh, g*n.

State law, they like to run a make on people.

Fifteen days?

Fifteen days, it's a-- It's a law, lady.

Cooling off period,

they don't want people coming in in the heat of passion,

buying a g*n, and then going out blowing somebody's head off.

Fifteen days?

Same question, same answer, 15 days.

It's a law, lady.

But now, that doesn't apply to shotguns or r*fles.

Here, I've got a.22 back here that--

[Valene] Never mind.

[door chime tinkles]

[mellow jazz piano playing]

[overlapping chatter]

Welcome back.

It's good to be back.

Well, you look a little disappointed.

He's not having anything.

What are you doing out in public?

You haven't even made a statement to the press yet.

I don't have to make a statement.

It was the newspapers who made the error.

Besides, they didn't think it was a good idea

to meet at the ranch.

-Laura. -Laura and I both.

We both frowned on you coming out to the ranch,

and carving your initials in the back of the furniture.

It ruins the look.

And I don't like my little brother

trying to grab my empire every time I turn my back.

I think you should be grateful to me.

-Grateful? -Yeah.

I kept Galveston Industries from floundering

while you were gone.

You nearly ruined the merger with Stratadyne.

Gave a lot of investors a big scare.

Goes to show you how important I am.

Or how irresponsible.

If I hadn't step forward--

If you hadn't put your foot in your mouth,

I'd have returned here exactly when I did.

Only now I have to undo what you've already done.

Don't let it get you down, bro, all can be fixed.

Not forgiven, not forgotten,

but fixed.

Double zombie.

I don't drink zombies.

It's not for you.

[soft jazz instrumental playing]

Goodbye.

That's-- that's it? "Goodbye?"

Goodbye, and don't make any more public statements.

Not only are you irresponsible,

you're rude.

I don't know how you hold on to all you've got.

By the skin of my teeth, kid.

And they're pretty big teeth.

I just happen to have an extra drink over there.

I just happen to need one.

[jazz instrumental continues]

[glasses clink]

[loud knocking on door]

[Valene] Hello?

-[Jill] Val? -[Valene] Mack?

-[Jill] Val? -Ooh!

[laughs] You scared me.

Sorry. Can I help you with something?

I was just looking for Mack.

I haven't seen him all day.

Oh, you haven't?

You're working awful late up here, aren't you?

I'm going to be away for a few days,

and I didn't want to leave any loose ends.

Away? Where are you going?

Oh, the wedding! Yeah. Forgot.

When are you going to be leaving?

Tonight. We're going up to Lake Tahoe.

Oh, that sounds wonderful.

I'm sure you'll both be very happy.

Aren't you a little afraid

being up here all alone at night?

Not really.

With all the things that you and Mack do,

all the criminals that you deal with,

and put in jail, things like that,

it must make you kind of nervous,

I know it would me.

But I'm sure you keep a g*n up here for protection.

No, I've never even thought of having a g*n.

Well, I'm sure Mack does, I'm sure he's got one in his office.

No.

We don't expect that sort of trouble.

I mean, we're not a liquor store or a bank or anything.

No, of course you're not.

Well, I'm sure you've got a lot of things

to do before you leave.

Yeah.

I'd better go.

[melancholic flute instrumental playing]

Congratulations on your marriage.

And I really do mean that.

[door clicks closed]

[phone ringing]

-Hello? -Jill, is Mack there?

-No. -Oh.

Uh, Karen, when you do see him,

ell him Val Gibson was looking for him.

-Val was there? -Yeah.

Sure. I'll tell him.

Goodbye.

Bye.

[receiver slams]

When I see him.

Whenever the hell that is.

[engine idling]

Hey, hold it, what are you doing?

Hold it!

-What are you doing? -You're in a handicapped zone.

Once I pick it up, it stays up.

Hey, you know, it's jerks like you that bother me.

Hey, what's it to you?

You're parked in a handicapped zone!

-What's it to you? -I don't like it!

Well, is he handicapped or what?

Yeah, he's parked in a handicapped zone, big shot.

What are you talking about? I'm not handicapped.

[Mack] You are now!

Go! Go!

[tires screeching]

[tense instrumental playing]

[engine starts]

I don't mean to get personal,

but didn't I read in the paper you were dead?

Were you sorry?

Only that I already paid for the damage on your car.

Sentimental fool, hey?

Just sentimental.

About what?

Relationships.

Reunions.

Resurrections.

I don't know about you, but I hate public resurrections.

[soft instrumental playing]

Would a room upstairs be private enough?

[chuckles softly]

[ominous flute instrumental playing]

-That it? -Mm-hm.

$7.58.

I'll give you $200 for your g*n.

What?

I'll give you $200 for the g*n

that you have in that drawer right there.

I know you people keep one in there,

because sometimes one comes in--

Lady, I am going to give you exactly five seconds

to get the hell out of this store...

I'll give you $250.

...or else I am going to call the police!

-Cash. I have cash. -One, two.

-Right here. $250. -Three.

-Four. -Okay, alright, alright.

Well, I mean, I may have given you

the wrong impression the other night, because I was--

Anyway, I want you to know that I really do

want you to get married.

Because I think that Jill is perfect for you.

-Val. -What?

Right this moment, I'm concerned about you.

Why?

Don't be, I'm fine, I'm just--

You-- Ben's been away and I--

Gary, I need to ask you something.

Okay.

I've been thinking.

Suppose I were without Ben.

And suppose something were to happen,

and I-- I couldn't take care of Bobby and Elizabeth.

-Val-- -Wait, wait.

Just, see, I want you to be the one to raise them.

Why are you talking about all this?

Because I want to.

You don't have to give me an answer now,

just so you know that that's what I would want.

[phone ringing]

Go ahead. Get the phone.

I'm, uh, just going to use your bathroom

to freshen up for a moment, okay?

-Yes, it's-- -Around there? Thank you.

Hello.

It's not polite to keep your bride waiting.

I'm sorry, honey, I was on my way out the door,

and I got an unexpected visitor,

my ex-wife.

[Jill] Get rid of her.

Gary, tell Abby that tonight,

and from now on, you belong to me.

Uh... [awkward laugh]

It's not that ex-wife,

it's Valene, there's something wrong.

-What is it? -I don't know yet.

[tense instrumental playing]

[music intensifies]

Gary, Val was by my office tonight, too.

She was asking some very strange questions.

What kind of questions?

[Jill] Well, about Mack, about work,

being alone, having a g*n.

[frantic violin instrumental playing]

[sinister instrumental playing]

Um, I gotta go. I'll call you right back.

[line beeping]

Val?

[ominous instrumental playing]

Oh, Val.

-Another? -No, thank you.

I think I'll go up to my room.

Where's my room key? Room number 44?

[Greg] Four.

Room number 444?

How could anyone forget a number like 444?

I couldn't.

And I admire a man with a good...

memory.

[muffled conversation]

I can't believe Val hasn't called.

I mean, not one word since she left here this afternoon.

Saying all those horrible things.

Oh, these past few days have been so q*eer.

[tires screeching]

Do you think Ben has... has been gambling?

-Or-- or what? -Maybe that's Val.

-Gary. -Is Val here?

No, dear God, what's the matter?

She was just out at the ranch. She took my g*n.

-What? -g*n?

You never kept a g*n in the house!

It was my grandfather's,

I inherited it, she knew I had it.

-Well, what would she want with a g*n? -I don't know.

She went after her, I'm sure of it.

Oh, my God, forgive me for saying this,

but that woman,

that awful woman, deserves to be shot.

-What woman? -Oh, I didn't mean that.

I don't want anyone hurt. I'm-- I'm sorry I said that.

Lilimae, what woman?

-Jean Hackney. -Who the hell is Jean Hackney?

An old friend of Ben's, or at least she said she was.

She showed up here a few months ago,

and everything has been such a mess since.

Do you have any idea where we can find that woman?

I don't know.

What do you know about her?

Well, let's see.

When Jean Hackney first came here...

I remember Val saying something

about a clothing store.

Ladies' Lingerie, that's it.

That awful person runs an underwear store.

[gasps] She sent Val a negligee.

Maybe there's a label in it.

[quick footsteps departing]

[dramatic instrumental playing]

[Valene's voice] I love you, Ben.

I won't let her do this to us.

She can't do this to our family.

[Valene grunting with effort]

For your sake,

he had better call, and when he does,

you tell him that Sumner had better be dead,

-because if he's not... -[Valene groans in pain]

...Ben will be.

And I promise you that.

[suspenseful instrumental playing]

[Valene panting]

[Valene thinking] She won't.

I won't let her get away with this.

I won't let her do it.

I love you.

[Jean] Well, hello, you two.

Isn't it way past your bedtime?

[Valene] Don't touch them.

Don't you lay a hand on them.

-If anything happens to them-- -You'll what?

You're not the only person capable of threatening people.

You're not the only person willing to carry a threat out.

[sinister instrumental playing]

[Val] "You take care of those children.

Take care of them."

You take care of those children.

-Ben. No. -Take care of them.

I love you.

[thinking] I will, Ben.

I love you.

I love you, Ben.

[tense instrumental playing]

Hi.

-[Karen] Mack! -What?

-[phone ringing] -Where have you been?

-What's going on? -Yeah.

-Already? -Who is it?

They went upstairs.

I'll be right over. God.

Over where?

-I gotta go. -Mack, where are you going?

-[Mack] I gotta go. -I'm coming with you.

[phone ringing]

[unnerving instrumental playing]

[calling tone ringing]

Karen, I'll explain everything when I get back.

You will not, you'll explain everything to me right now.

-I don't have time. -Right now, Mack!

Get out! You're not going with me.

-The hell I'm not! -[tires screeching]

[clattering, banging]

[knocking on door]

[Jean] Come in.

Do you mind if I lock the door?

[Karen] I don't know how Ben

could have considered such a thing.

Karen, he didn't wanna k*ll Sumner.

We had it planned for Ben and his family to escape.

Sumner blew it by showing up at the club opening.

So Ben thought he had to do it.

Jean Hackney didn't give him a choice.

It was either, "You k*ll Sumner--"

Or her group would k*ll Val and the kids!

You should have told me. Val's my best friend.

I wasn't going to tell you.

-You should have told me! -How could I tell you?

-Why not? -Then you would have known!

And if you had known, then you would have been in danger.

Anyway, Ben made me promise

not to involve anyone else.

So and I promised that if anything happened,

I would make sure that Val and the kids got to safety.

This just can't be true.

They've been through such a nightmare.

It's terrible.

The damn thing isn't over yet.

[Karen] I don't understand how Ben

got so caught up in this thing.

Well, you know, he and Jean Hackney

were political activists back in their college days.

Were they lovers?

I don't know, I guess so, anyway...

a couple of months ago she got in touch with him,

and told him that she was working for the government.

So she asked him to keep an eye on Greg Sumner for them

because Galveston Industries does a lot

of sensitive work for the government.

And they needed a fix on Sumner.

Jean said that, uh--

That they didn't like the way Sumner conducted his business.

And that he was too secretive, too hush-hush, you know?

And they wondered about his plans for Peter Hollister.

That's when Ben got the job

as Peter Hollister's press secretary.

[Karen] Ben didn't want to spy for them, did he?

No, no, but back in his college days,

they duped Ben into planting a b*mb

in some government laboratory,

-and k*lled someone. -Oh, my God.

He didn't know about the b*mb, but technically

he could have been held responsible.

So there was Jean Hackney right there in the beginning

twisting the old screws, you know?

First, by threatening to expose him,

and then appealing to his patriotic duty.

She's something else.

Did Jean Hackney really work for the government?

Ben didn't know for sure.

Come on, Karen, we're talking about intelligence work.

Ben asked the contact of his if Jean worked for the agency,

but Ben couldn't get a straight answer.

The contact would have to say no either way.

Catch-22.

So Ben finally figured out

that Jean was not with the government,

that she was with this g*ng

of international financial wizards and th*gs

that Paul Galveston used to be with.

And they wanted to control Sumner.

And when they couldn't, they wanted him dead,

and they told Ben to do it.

At first they had him plant a bug at Sumner's ranch.

But when that didn't work, they ordered Ben to k*ll him.

That is insane.

Ben's not a k*ller.

o, but he's a husband and a father.

And Jean Hackney means business.

And she made sure that her men took care of it.

Do you know that Ben and Val and the kids

and Lilimae tried to run away?

[Karen] I just don't believe this, it's crazy.

[Mack] Then Jean Hackney caught up with them?

That's when Ben came to me.

[Karen] Well, why didn't he come to you in the first place?

[Mack] Damned if I know.

[Jean moaning]

[tense instrumental playing]

I guess I should tell you that your orders have been changed.

What are you talking about?

I'm taking over for Rudolph.

Rudolph?

Now she's wondering,

"How does this guy know Rudolph?"

As a matter of fact, I paid him a visit recently.

Whoa! That got your attention, didn't it?

[chuckles]

That body you followed out to the ranch, wasn't me.

I went to the airport,

but I didn't take Ben's escape route.

-I went to South Africa. -You're lying!

[Greg] Ooh.

I walked right up to Rudolph's door.

His back door.

And I tell you, lady,

the guy was very surprised to see me.

But he was extremely cooperative, nonetheless,

he gave me the names and locales

of the rest of your scummy t*rror1st chums.

That's impossible.

You're trying to tell me

you went all around the world,

k*lling your enemies.

k*lling?

That's your problem, Jean.

You're so one-dimensional.

There are a million ways to deal with your adversaries

without k*lling them.

Take Carlos Marengo, for instance.

Funny how a sudden bankruptcy...

...will render a seemingly powerful guy

impotent overnight.

Take it from me, sweetheart,

the rest of your friends have,

to put it mildly, been neutralized.

You're bluffing!

[tense instrumental playing]

I didn't want to hurt your feelings earlier,

but I wasn't that glad to see you,

there was a p*stol in my pocket.

You're not gonna use that.

They could hear you out there.

Well, I'm a little nuts.

I don't care what everybody else hears.

[door slams open]

-Don't do it! -How about that?

I forgot to lock the door.

Let her go, that wasn't part of the agreement!

She came after me.

That makes me mad.

And your second mistake was dragging a nice guy

like Ben Gibson into your scheme.

Trying to make a k*ller out of him.

You also threatened his wife and kids,

and that really gets me off.

[g*n clicks]

Take her out of here.

Let's go, hot stuff.

Hey, you didn't give me much time to get here.

[sighs] She made me mad.

-What? -Well, Sumner's alright.

And it's over.

What about Ben?

[Mack] We put the body bag

in the back of a Galveston Industries van,

and then took it out to Sumner's ranch.

[Karen] Why Sumner's ranch?

[Mack] We had it all figured out.

We knew that Jean Hackney would be following us.

We knew that she had to verify that Greg Sumner was dead.

[Karen] But Greg isn't dead.

[Mack] We had to make Jean Hackney think that

until Sumner could neutralize her people.

[Karen] Then it was Ben in the body bag.

[Mack] When Ben realized that he couldn't k*ll Sumner,

he decided that Val and the twins

would be safer if he was dead.

That way Jean Hackney's people wouldn't have

anyone to come after.

[Karen] In order to save Val and the kids,

Ben shot himself?

[Mack] Instead of sh**ting Sumner,

as he was ordered to do,

Ben turned the g*n to his own head.

[Karen] Oh, my God. What are you saying?

Ben is dead?

[tense instrumental playing]

[Mack] Open the bag.

[unzipping]

[ominous instrumental playing]

[Mack] Ben wanted to die, but I wouldn't let him.

[g*nsh*t pops]

You'll be a lot safer here.

[sighs] Man, it's scary in this thing.

Yeah.

[Karen] But, Mack, after it was all over,

why didn't you tell Val the truth?

Why didn't you tell her her husband was alive?

If I told Val Ben was alive, it would have shown on her face.

Jean Hackney would have seen it.

And then Val would have been in danger.

[engine starts]

You should have told Val.

I hope it's not too late.

Too late?

-Too late for what? -[Karen] Oh, Mack, I'm scared.

She stole Gary's g*n.

[ominous instrumental playing]

-Val. Val. Val. -[Valene shouting indistinctly]

[Gary] Val, Val, Val, give me the g*n,

give me the g*n. Come on. Come on. Come on.

-Come on, it's okay, it's okay. -[Valene] Oh, no!

-Oh, my God. -Come on, honey.

-Oh, my God. -Come on, it's okay, it's okay.

[sobbing] Oh, my God, oh, my God.

[tense instrumental playing]

Gary?

[water splashing]

Gary?

Hi. It's just me.

I, uh, found I was missing a few things in the move.

I called, and no one was home, so I just let myself in.

I hope you don't mind.

There you are. My last set.

You won't have to change the locks.

-I, uh, won't be coming back. -I know.

Now, I found what I was looking for.

What was it you were looking for? Oh--

Gary.

I wonder where he could be.

There was an emergency, and he probably--

Let me guess.

It couldn't have something to do with Valene, could it?

[chuckles]

Jill, let the, um, second Mrs. Ewing

give the soon-to-be third Mrs. Ewing

a friendly warning.

The first Mrs. Ewing...

[scoffs]

...doesn't go away.

Ever.

-Sit down. -Okay.

Here.

Thank you.

You okay now?

I think so.

I'm sorry that...

-you had to be involved-- -No, come on.

Gary.

I don't know what I'm gonna do next.

Well, I think I do.

Come here.

-Come on, just stand up. -What?

Turn around.

[gasps]

Oh!

[dramatic instrumental playing]

There's daddy. There's daddy.

[Ben] Hey, guys. Hey!

[Valene] Come see daddy.

Come here, sweetie. Come here, Ben.

Look at daddy.

[Valene sobbing]

Come on, sweetie, come to mama.

That's a girl!

Look at daddy, give him a hug.

[Ben groans]

Look at daddy. Look at daddy there, see?

Yes.

Good boy.

[semimetal instrumental playing]

Hi.

Hi.

I was hoping I'd find you here.

Is everything alright?

-I was worried. -Yeah. Yeah.

Everything's fine.

I missed our wedding, but--

Oh, that.

[sighs] We'll leave first thing in the morning.

rI'll put my bags-- Where are my bags?

I put everything away.

You'll be tired in the morning.

And we'll go another time.

Jill.

[sighs] Val really did need my help.

I know.

It's okay.

-Really. -Sure?

Sure.

[bird tweeting]

[Valene moans]

Good morning.

Good morning.

I am so happy to be home.

[Valene chuckles]

I am gonna do something today--

Now, don't pass out.

[laughs] What?

I am gonna do something-- This is gonna knock you out.

Come on. Tell me.

I'm gonna straighten out the garage.

[laughing] You.

I've been wanting you to do that for months.

But you really gotta miss your garage

before you want to straighten it out.

[Valene giggling]

I don't care what you do today.

As long as I get to watch you do it.

-Okay. -Okay?

But right now, I'm gonna go take a shower.

-You wanna watch me do that? -[Valene giggles]

Well, I don't know.

[Ben] Okay! I'm getting in the shower now!

You're not coming, are you?

Well, maybe I'll surprise you.

I don't know.

[Ben] Come on!

Val.

-[Valene gasps] -[g*nshots popping]

[chilling instrumental playing]

[roaring] No!

-No! -Shh!

Sweetheart. You're alright.

-[Ben panting] -Shh.

You're alright.

[Ben breathing heavily]

[theme music playing]

[music continues]
