-Wow.
-[girl] Francis.

[panting] We have a situation!

Chip got lost down a cave

and Merian and I have to go find him.

[Chip over radio]
So I think the exit is down?

I'm just gonna keep going further down.

Chip, no! Ahh!

Can you please, please watch
my plant while we're gone?

Hmm, I'd rather not.

I'm not really a plant girl.

You're more my speed.

I know and normally I wouldn't ask

but I just wanna make sure
it has everything it needs.

I think it's on the verge of blooming!

Sounds a little personal.
Can someone else watch it?

Well, Merian is coming with me,

Sara and Larry are busy saving us
from the centipede situation.

[straining] My arms are getting tired!

You're a hero, Larry.

So it has to be you! Please!

Plants are so needy and complicated.

How much water is too much water?

I don't wanna play their mind games.

Here, I got this moisture meter

from Lullah's lab.

Just stick it in the soil

and it'll tell you what the plant needs.

But once you get comfortable,

you can just sense it with your finger.

Mmm. Damp. Doesn't need water.

You try.

Ugh. I'm not getting anything.

-Wait...
-Huh?

Can I keep this?

[Chip over radio] Okay,
it's way too bright down here.

I'm just gonna throw these lights away
so my eyes adjust to the dark.

What? No! Pliny!

I gotta go. Take care of my plant. Please?

-Okay.
-[exclaims happily]

Mm!

[sighs wearily]

[humming]

Oh? Oh, boy.

Here we go.

[sighs] What do you need?

[plant through meter]
They're trying to k*ll me!

What?

Mmm, I don't see anyone.

-[gasps]
-[plant] I'll explain later.

Just get me out of here!

This is crazy.

[plant] Ahh! Run away! Turn that way!

[plant screams]

Faster! Ay Dios!

But now this is too bumpy.

Hey! I did not say stop.

-[sighs]
-Go!

Okay. That's a good place.
Good middle ground.

[squeaking footsteps]

-Ahh!
-[plant] Holy smoke.

They have us surrounded!

This is crazy.

-[screams]
-Run for my life!

Oh, I can't believe we made it.

Phew.

[plant] Seriously, you are as slow

as those stupid rocks you love so much.

This seems like a good spot.

You can just stay here
with all your jungle plant friends.

[plant] I will have you know
that I do not belong out here in the wild.

I am an exotic indoor plant.

Mimosa strigillosa. My friends call me Mo.

You can call me Mimosa strigillosa.

My name's Francis.

[Mo] Well, Francis, I think we both know

this relationship isn't working out. Okay?

Just bring me back to the greenhouse
from whence I came and I shall be safe

and we can part ways for good.

The greenhouse?

That's 20 minutes away.

I knew taking care
of a plant would be trouble,

but I didn't know
it would be this much trouble.

[Mo] But guess what?

You did promise to take care of me.

So that is your job now.

And I am a woman of my word.

[Mo] Oh, and stop whining.
This will be easy.

Oh, no! I am doomed!

Relax.

Looks like rocks aren't so stupid after--

Ahh!

[splashes]

[Mo screams]

[both coughing]

Why are you coughing?

Don't plants like water?

[Mo] Plants do like water
but not that much water!

We only like some. Some!

Never take me across
your stupid rocks ever again,

with their slippery heads
and wriggly little ears.

-[bubbling]
-Those aren't rocks.

Those are hippos!

-[roars]
-[Mo] Run!

-[hippos roaring]
-Wow.

[Mo] Whoa, oh!

[hippo grunts]

[Mo] Oh, hippopotamus,
how about a pot of this?

[all sneezing]

Aw, cute.

[Mo] We are saved! By me! [laughs]

I would like to see a rock
incapacitate a hippo.

-I have.
-[Mo] Oh, okay. Okay.

Shade... It's getting darker here.

Oh what is even the point?

We're never gonna
make it to the greenhouse!

[sobbing] Stuck in the jungle
with a nincompoop.

Oh, brother.

[Mo] Oh, like you even care!

[sighs in relief]

-I love the sun.
-[Mo] You do?

I too love the sun and the breeze.

Same.

[both sigh]

[clears throat] You know I...

I could say that when
you're not being so stubborn

we have a lot in common, actually.

We both like air and dislike hippos.

[Mo] You know people
don't say that enough.

Let's get you to that greenhouse.

[Mo] Yes, let's.

There it is! The greenhouse!

We made it!

Well, I gotta admit that was a nice walk.

[Mo] Hey, hey. Hide me. Hide me.

What's the deal?

[Mo] Look. It's my half-brother,
Prince Philipdendron!

He stole the throne
that is rightfully mine!

What?

[Mo] Turn me, so that
I may to look into your eyes.

My real name is Prince Mimosa Strigillosa

and my friends don't call me Mo.

Was anything true?

[Mo] I was sent away to live in safety

until such day that I could bloom

and become king!

But when my assassins appeared,

I knew my brother must have betrayed me.

He didn't count on me
returning with muscle.

That's why you dragged me here?

You said you'd be safe in the greenhouse.

[Mo] I will be safe
as soon as you assist me

in overthrowing my dastardly brother.

No way.

This is way more drama
than I signed up for.

[Mo] Oh, come on, Francis.

This drama is the most exciting thing

that's ever happened to you.

You lied to me
and you put my life in danger.

[Mo] Fine leave! Go back
to your precious stones!

They're not precious stones.

They're just rocks.

Huh? What's that?

Oh, I thought you said something.

[sighs] Dang it! He's right.

I'm addicted to the drama.

Oh, no.

-Mo!
-[evil laughter]

[Philipdendron through meter]
Today marks a new era!

I have finally overcome
my pathetic half-brother.

But to those who remained loyal to Mimosa

Hm, this isn't right.

[plant 2] Which one of us are women?

Mo, I'm here. What do you need?

Mmm. Talk to me, Mo.

[sighs] It's no use.

[Mo clears throat]
Francis, you came back for me.

Mo, of course,

but how am I hearing you
without the meter?

[Mo] You're a plant girl now.

Oh, boy!

[Mo] Now listen carefully.

I have a plan.

[plant coughs]

[guard 1] Oy, halt!

Only plants allowed in
Philipdendron's greenhouse.

[Francis] I'm a plant.

[guard 1] Hmm, we'll see about that.

Give her the test.

[guard 2] How much water do you like?

Some.

[♪ intense music playing]

[guard 2] She's a plant, let her through.

Ha-ha! Another subject here
to acknowledge their king.

-[gasps]
-Aah! That's not a plant!

Stop her!

[all shouting]

Ah, no! [screams]

[Philipdendron] Somebody stop her!

No, not the sun!

[Mo] I feel it! I'm going to bloom!

[laughs]

Yes! No one can stop me!

I am bloom... ing!

[Mo laughs]

Francis, I'm blooming!

[♪ exhilarating
instrumental music playing]

[Philipdendron] No!

Behold your rightful ruler.

-[all cheering]
-[panting]

[yelps]

For King Mimosa!

[Mo] Hmm. These rocks
are pretty useful after all.

Mmm-hmm.

[Mo] Francis, my dear loyal Francis,

I shall never forget you.

I'll never forget you either.

You're the first talking plant
I've ever met.

Is that true? It is true.

[Mo] Well, now that I am king,

I hereby rename you Plantcis.

Oh, no.

[Mo] Mush! Mush! Towards freedom!

-[hippos roaring]
-[cheering]

This is crazy.

Hey, you're back.

[chuckles] We had to dislocate
all of Chip's limbs

from all of his sockets to get him out.

I saw a stalactite!

Hey, everyone, we finally
caught the centipede!

-Oh!
-Oops.

It's spelunking me!

[loudly] It's spelunking me!

[screams]

How'd everything go while we were gone?

Fine. I like plants now.

Awesome! I knew you'd come around.

So, where is my plant?

-Oh, um...
-[clanking]

[screaming]

So we're just gonna
keep screaming like that

until people pay us to stop.

Oh, that's really good. Love that one.

-A money store!
-Shows for fish.

[both gasp] Fish wallets!

-That's good.
-[both] Restaurant library...

-That's good too!
-Portable whirlpool!

[screams] I can't decide!

Merian, was that you?

My birthday's coming up soon
and I'm way behind!

-Behind?
-[sighs]

I'll show you.

This is my entire life plan.

From crawling at six months,
potty training, braces,

prom, my wedding, all the way to retiring

in rural New Hampshire
with twin Yorkipoos.

-[yipping]
-[Pliny] Aw!

But I promised myself that by age 13,

I'd be cutting the ribbon
on my first business.

This is such a big decision.

If I pick the wrong one,
my whole plan is ruined!

[Chip] Merian, wait!

I've got the business opportunity
of a lifetime.

I've developed a prototype

for a product that has the potential

to change everything
as we know it. Or does it?

-What is it?
-I can't say,

but an idea like this requires
your unquestioning financial,

emotional commitment.

I'm in! Wait, okay.

It's between that and the fish wallets.

Or the screaming one.

Ah! I don't know what to pick! [screams]

Mmm, mmm.

What is that?

Egg salad. My own special recipe!

Thought it might cheer you up.

Uh-uh-uh! Not before
I add the secret ingredient.

A dollop of my green gunpowder
aioli on top.

[mimicking g*nsh*t]

[gobbling]

-Well, that's it.
-What's it?

This. This is the business plan.

An egg salad stand.

[gasps] Really?

Are you sure my recipe is good enough

for such an important day?

Pliny, I've never been
more certain of anything

in my whole life!

Put her there, partner!

[splashes]

No Egg-Rets!

Eh, I still like my pitch.

Ay I'm Oli-ing Ova Here!

-Ay--
-I'm gonna go grab the eggs.

[Pliny shouts] I'm Oli-ing ova here!

[inhales and exhales loudly]

-[thunderclap]
-[yelps]

-[voice] Merian!
-What?

It's me! You at 30 years old!

[screams]

You must shut the egg stand down

or else a terrible thing will happen!

[screams] Wait, what terrible thing?

Just shut it down!

[gasps]

Okay. All right. Phew.

[humming]

Pliny, I have to shut-- Whoa!

-Merian!
-[screams]

I'm you at 60!

Thirty is wrong. Open the stand!

-What?
-Huh? Did you say something?

Oh. Uh, just wanted to say
I'm egg-cited! [laughs nervously]

Oh... [laughs]

Got it. Did you get those eggs?

Oh, duh! I'm on it.

You're okay, Merian. You know, it's hot.

Maybe that was all in your heads. Head.

Singular. Head.

-[chickens clucking]
-Oh. Hey, chickens.

-Hi.
-[chickens clucking]

You want a widdle berry?

-[chickens clucking]
-Widdle berry for the chickens.

[chickens clucking]

Now, let's see here.

-Ooh, great haul today, ladies.
-[thunderclap]

-[screams]
-I have an idea!

We smash all the eggs. Boom! No egg salad.

What? No!

Smash the eggs

or the terrible thing will happen!

What terrible thing?

Here, take this future hammer to do it.

[electrical beeping]

Wait! At least tell me
how the life plan is going.

I can't say. Just make sure
to smash those eggs.

Wait! [groans]

[straining]

Okay. No eggs.

No egg salad stand.

-[screams]
-What are you doing?

Fix those eggs or all is lost!

And hand over that old-fashioned hammer,

it's dangerous.

Are you in New Hampshire
right now for the life plan?

With the Yorkipoos?

Just open the stand!

[groans]

[all chanting] Egg salad!
Egg salad! Egg salad!

-Egg salad! Egg salad...
-I'm back!

Where have you been?

We're supposed to open in an hour!

[nervously] Oh, sorry!
I was just getting the eggs.

Good job.

-[screams]
-You taped the eggs together?

[grunts]

Merian, you know I love to roughhouse

but we'll never open the stand

if you don't stop joking around.

Uh, you mean yolkin' around?

Uh... Oh, okay! Yes! [laughs]

I'm gonna get some herbs.

Lose that crowd.
Your future depends on it!

Hey, hey, guys!

Our egg salad is really bad!

Hmm.

Huh?

[grunting]

Uh, our egg salad
is really bad to miss out on!

[all cheer]

At first I was like, "What is she doing?"

But then I was like, "Oh, yeah!"

[gasps] My herbs!

Merian, would you stop about the yolking!

I just think for opening
we should have fresh herbs.

Not jarred.

Hmm, that's a great idea, partner.

All right. I'll salvage
some up and be right back

and you finish the eggs.

I'm begging you, shut it down.

Why? Why should I shut it down?

-I can't say.
-Why not?

Why is your head so big?

Is everyone's head big in the future
or is it a result of time travel?

I can't say!

Why are you being so vague?

I can't say!

Just know the life plan depends on it!

[screams] Fine.

[huffs] Here's Pliny's
signature gunpowder aioli.

She would never serve her
special egg salad without it.

[grunts]

With the fridge unplugged,
it'll spoil in the sun. Happy?

Leave her alone, 30.

Wait, 50-year-old me?

-Sixty, actually.
-Not bad.

I know, right?

Now stop interfering
with our worst day ever.

Isn't that what you're doing?

I'm interfering with your interference.

I stopped letting the life plan

rule my every decision like you.

My 60s are an open road, baby.

[cheers]

Stop! Just tell me what to do!

[Pliny] Merian!

Merian, you've been acting
weird and indecisive all day.

Do you believe in the egg salad or not?

I, uh, I...

Well, if you do believe,

put this on and come cut the ribbon.

[Pliny grunting, squeaking]

[crowd] Egg salad! Egg salad!
Egg salad! Egg salad!

-Egg salad! Egg salad!
-Okay, ready?

-[crowd] Egg salad! Egg salad!
-Mmm-hmm.

Mmm-hmm.

Mmm-mmm-mmm...

Egg salad! Egg salad!
Egg salad! Egg salad!

Egg salad! Egg salad!

Egg salad! Egg salad!
Egg salad! Egg salad!

Egg salad! Egg salad!

[screams] I can't do it!

[all gasp]

Oh, too close.

What is up with you today?

I... I can't say!

You said you've never seen
anything more clearly.

Come on, Pliny.

Um... Ay, I'm A-oling over here!

No, Merian. I'm not a-oling over here.

Not anymore.

Oh, I was looking forward
to that egg salad...

[squeaking]

Proud of you for siding with reason

instead of hot grandma over there.

You're no slouch yourself!

Enough! This is all your fault, heads!

I was finally certain of something
for the first time ever,

and you both came in and spun me out,

and worst of all,

you won't even tell me

what this mysterious terrible event is!

Ugh, blame Chip!

-[shushes]
-Chip?

He's the one that invented the time phone
we're both using... possibly.

Being vague is one of Chip's strict
user agreements... maybe.

Huh. So that was Chip's business idea!

I gotta clear my head!

I just gotta get back to my life plan.

Every detail matters.

Do you want a widdle berry?

[chicken clucking]

Oh. Oh, hello, Mr. Egg.

Oh, thank goodness!
You're, like, what, 90?

You must be here to tell me
what the right thing to do is.

Ninety something.

And no, I just come back
to feed the chickens.

We don't have these anymore.

Wait, you're not gonna tell me what to do?

Don't you remember
what terrible thing happens

if I open the egg salad stand?

Oh, kind of.

It doesn't really matter.

It doesn't really matter?

It doesn't really matter.

Come and get it!

[sighs]

Wait! Wait!

Ugh! [straining]

I don't care what happens in the future.

I believe in your egg salad today!

No egg-rets!

Ay... We're oli-ing over here!

Who wants egg salad?

[all cheering]

Uh-uh-uh!

Not without the secret ingredient.

Can't forget that.

[blasts]

[all groaning]

[groans] This is what I was afraid of.

Wait, that's it?

That's the terrible thing?

An egg salad expl*si*n?

It's not that bad.

Huh. Yeah, actually.

I remember this being a lot worse.

I thought Chicho died.

Nope, I'm good.

Oh, wait. That was another expl*si*n.

-What?
-See? The life plan worked out

even if this didn't.

-It did?
-That's right.

[dog barking]

Oh, that's the Yorkipoos.

-[thunderclap]
-[siren blaring]

-Chip?
-You are in violation

of the Time Phone User Agreement.

That was way too specific.

Wait, why is his head normal-sized?

What happens to our head?

Don't answer that!

Merian, my prototype's done!

You get one last chance
to hop on the Chip train--

Ahh! What the heck, Merian?

What have you done?

It doesn't really matter.
