Fitness is something that I love

Max and I have done very little
talking the last few days,

And I know that frustrates him

And it's something
I need to work on.

We have stuff
that we need to talk about.

This place reminds me
of something

That I've always
wanted to do.

Which is catch
a little baby gator

I've wanted to
catch gators for so long.

I wanted to see a big one.

a couple of things kind of

On my heart.

Well, it's kind of
why I wanted to talk,

I just really feel like,

As I've gotten to know you,
I've really liked who you are.

But then throughout
that process,

I also observed
some things about us

That aren't
compatible right now.

Like, whenever I confront you
about something,

It's not even
a yes or a no answer.

You just freeze up.

Which is not communicating,
and I also just feel like

I've put in a lot more
to this than you have.

And then what was really just
set it off was this past week,

It's like we've been calling
on the phone

After work and stuff
and before bed,

And it was like we just weren't
in the conversation at all.

I feel like all these little
things we could work on

And work through,

But it's like he won't even
communicate that to me.

I don't know if that's just
how you were raised,

Where if there's a problem,
you just don't address it.

But in my family,
if there's a problem,

You address it head on

And then you find
a solution to it

Because otherwise it's just
gonna be an elephant

In the room
that we're all dancing around.

Moriah: I have a really
hard time opening up,

And it's just like it seemed
to get harder and harder

Every time I try.

I have a fear
of not being accepted.

There is so many things that
were done different with me,

Like, I mean, how I was raised,
my parents, my education,

And then, like, the emotional
stuff coming out of that

And just, like, this struggle
of just trying to find myself

And start my own life on my own.

It's so hard to open up about.

I understand that it can be
really hard to open up,

But if we're gonna
continue to grow,

Then that's something
that needs to happen.

And I feel like time after time,
we've tried to do that,

And you just shut me out.

It's like I got too close.

And I think that we should
just take a step back.

I didn't see it coming, like,
I realized that I'm losing,

Like, one of the best things
that ever happened to me,

And I'm not exactly sure
what I'll do without him,

But at the same time,
I know I can do it.

I'm just scared to let go

I need you to just promise me
that you'll still be my friend.

'Cause I don't think you
realize what you've done for me

Since december when we met,

Like, all the times
that I had nobody to talk to,

I would just talk to you.

And, like, you've been there
for me through it all,

And I guess I didn't
really realize that.

I just don't want
to lose that,

Even if it's just friends
for the rest of our lives.

If we're gonna
be friends, though,

Just promise me three things...

...one, that we can
set a boundary

Because those feelings
for each other are still there.

And then the second thing
is you still have

To teach me how to dance.

So I hope they can still

And then this next one's
kind of big,

But I also would like
to meet your parents,

Because the only thing
that I know about them

Is what you've told me.

I feel as if a lot
of moriah's communication,

I don't want to call it
a problem,

But just what's different
from mine comes and originates

From her family and her past.

And I feel as if I venture into

And get to know her past
and her family,

Then I'll be able to understand
her a lot more.

And then by doing so,

I'll be able
to help her grow as a person.

I just hope that
it's part of god's plan

And what our life
is meant to happen.

I think it scares me a lot
to have you meet my family,

So I think that's a sign
that you should.

Probably won't really
understand me until you do.

I'm just really sorry

That I couldn't
open up like I should have.

It does frustrate me that,
like, my upbringing,

You know, I didn't have that.

I wasn't given
those communication skills

And stuff, like, my family
sucks at communicating,

Obviously, like,
the situation we're in,

But I'm not gonna let
that hold me back.

That was my past,
and it's up to me to,

Like, just change that
and rewrite the story.

I think that ending up together

Is my ultimate goal.

I feel as if starting
where we're at now,

Almost like a bear sculpture

learning off of each other

for the long run.
