We have very high expectations,
and people need to meet
those expectations.
So we need to recognize
that there's a certain portion
of people that won't
meet those standards.
And if we have people that are
dragging the team down then,
like, that needs to be dealt with, right?
In his ruthless pursuit of a
record $35-million season,
Parker schnabel only
wants the best of the best,
and one person is lagging behind.
It's never easy trying to let somebody go,
but everybody needs to be a team player,
and this guy is not.
So we have no choice but to say,
"sorry, you don't fit here. You don't work."
Hello, tayvin.
Before your shift starts
tonight, I was wondering
if you wouldn't mind
popping to the office here.
I'd like to see you.
Yeah.
Ok, great. Thanks.
Bye bye.
Parker's mine manager,
nona loveless, has called in
tayvin Peterson, a loader-operator
in his second year at dominion.
Hello, how are you?
Good.
Yeah, unfortunately, we're going to have
to let you go, tayvin.
You just have a really
attitude for this place.
You just are very much a know-it-all.
When I asked you to do something,
you thought you were doing it better.
And that just doesn't work around here.
I've given you ample
weeks of opportunity to do
what is asked of, and
you still do it tayvin's way.
And then you boast about
how many loads you can get
in an hour. Who does that?
Tayvin, what am I telling you?
See, right now, that's
exactly what you're doing.
You're doing... No, no, but you're...
no, but no, you're not,
because you're not listening
to what I am saying.
Well, you're not thinking ahead, bud.
You're not.
You're falling behind
because you're not listening.
So you can pack up... And head on out.
Thanks.
Yeah, attitude just, it
doesn't fly around here.
I mean...
Yeah, well, I tried telling
you how many times?
If my boss, my senior, tells me
to do something, guess what?
See? See?
You're still... you're still... I've let you go,
and you're still telling
me that you're right.
Get out of here! Honestly, go!
I don't even want... I
don't even want... go!
Go! Get out of here.
I don't understand the logic behind it.
I think if they had the time
to sit down with me, and...
Understand or hear my side out,
that it would make a lot
more sense to them, but...
This is sad.
We've had a bit of turnover this year.
We've been hiring and firing.
Working here is not easy,
and we have a lot to do,
and you know, you need
good people that you can count on.
We're like, at a pretty
decent point in the season
and starting to pick up momentum.
We've got four wash plants running.
If we can keep the wheels
on the bus, you know,
we're in a very good
place, but it's going to take
a lot of effort and work
on everybody's part
in order to make that happen.
Halfway through the season,
Parker's already banked
over $18 million worth of gold.
But recently, plant breakdowns
and spotty ground have seen
his gold numbers slow down
to less than 500 ounces a week.
The gold weighs needs improvement.
If it continues like this,
we're in real trouble.
I trust all our managers.
We have a really good group of people.
And at dominion this year,
Tyson is definitely
doing a really good job.
I have the three wash plants moved
and up and running here at dominion.
It's wild because of how
busy this place is right now.
There's a lot going on.
We got all our stakes
in the fire right now, so...
Hopefully it doesn't bite us in the a*s.
After tayvin's firing,
dominion's foreman, Tyson Lee,
is down a loader-operator.
Now he needs to train up a
new hire to feed wash plant Bob.
I have some time to spend with India,
and get her feeding the wash plant.
India's been in a loader
for five, six days now,
and now it's about time she
learns how to feed a plant.
Working in the loader, in
all honesty, is pretty difficult.
In the bridge cut, rookie
India greenhalgh has
less than a month's gold
mining under her belt.
You know, I've left one job
that I'm actually pretty good at,
starting a job that I know nothing about.
It's not an easy thing to do,
but I want to be good at this.
I don't just want to be
ok. I want to be awesome.
While this is India's first season mining,
it isn't her first rodeo in the Yukon.
Hi, Tony!
For four years, India
worked behind the camera
with the "gold rush" film crew.
Historically, I've worked
on Tony's claims, but I did do
one stint on Parker's claim,
and that's how me and Tyson met.
Hi.
Thanks.
You know, I remember when
she first came to site here,
and I saw her right then
and there, and I thought,
"I've got to get to know her."
Whilst this is very different,
there was no real option for me
having a boyfriend that lives in Canada.
A gold mine is definitely not
a place that I thought I was
ever going to find love, but here I am.
I am loving it, quite frankly.
I'm loving love.
Cheers.
- Hi, babe.
- How's it going, babe?
Yeah, good.
So watch what I do when I'm...
Going to throw a scoop in the hopper.
So you want to get nice and straight
with the hopper first.
And then start lifting.
Same thing as a rock truck,
when you're loading a rock truck.
You want to come in...
And then you want to aim
for the middle of the target.
See how I'm not spilling
any material off the back,
not spilling any material off the front?
Yeah.
And then when my bucket
is dumped all the way,
I'm lowering my boom,
lowering my center of gravity.
When you're running to
the back of the cut like this,
keep in mind there's no
one up at the plant right now.
You're the one watching it, right?
From way back here,
I'm looking at the belts,
making sure there's
material going up them,
making sure nothing looks askew,
making sure the tailings
conveyor is going.
Yeah, that makes sense.
You see something, hit
the breaker and run up
and open the bypass and close the main.
Agh!
- What?
- Smacked my head.
Well, don't smack your head then.
You're not a bobblehead.
Just watch next time.
That is not good.
See how that material is not moving?
Do not ignore that. Jump out.
Jump out. It's clogged.
Stand back and watch me this time.
The hopper feeder is clogged with pay,
stopping it from getting to the plant.
Ok, back in the loader.
So that's why it's really important...
- to watch.
- Yeah.
- Ok, your turn.
- Ok.
- I'll be on miner two.
- Ok.
Go up.
Up.
So just get nice and
square with the feeder first.
It's nerve-racking.
There's small
adjustments. Straighten out.
Keep going. You're fine.
Start booming up. Boom up.
Am I straight? Am I straight?
Boom up. Boom up faster.
Stop moving forward. Boom up.
Now slowly start dumping.
Once you've cleared
the hopper, boom down,
so boom down now.
Yeah, it's good there.
It's really nerve-racking, actually.
I've got the world's driest mouth.
Nice.
It's a lot harder than it looks.
Keep doing this for another four months.
All righty.
I'm going to go.
Bye... I'll be back.
She's all yours.
Ok.
It's very much on me to make
sure that this plant is running
as it should be.
Parker wouldn't have offered
her the job if he didn't think
she could do it.
Hopefully, in the upcoming
days, she'll be able to feed
the plant, run the plant,
shut down the plant,
and know how to
problem-solve around the plant.
We got less than 500 ounces
on the season right now,
and that's not nearly enough.
Well, we're back in Vegas
valley, and that's where
we know the good gold is.
So we got to get back
down to the pay dirt.
Three months in, Rick ness's season
is finally on the upswing.
Last week, we got a good
result from the last cleanup,
but that was the end of the stockpile.
We didn't get down to
pay like we planned on.
I mean, there's a lot to do.
There's a big road to build,
and there's no more pay to run.
And yeah, we need to switch
up the plan right now if we're
going to get back to the
pay in Vegas valley quickly.
Rick's crew has
finished building the road
to the bottom of Vegas valley.
But now Rick faces another problem.
There's a lot of slop in there.
The whole cut's flooded with silty, muddy.
We're going to have to move it all
before we get back to the pay.
But getting it out of here is painful.
I've got an idea. It's a
cheap way to move dirt.
And we tried this last year in rally valley.
We actually had some success with it.
And we're going to try it again.
I think we learned stuff last year.
So we got the monitor.
We're going to drop that into
Vegas valley and get that slop
out of there and get back on the gold.
At Vegas valley, Rick's
crew has built a narrow road
to the bottom of the 200-foot deep cut.
Now they've discovered the
pay layer they reached last year
is covered in six feet of thick sludge.
Rick's solution?
Bring in a high-powered water monitor
to blast the sticky sludge,
breaking it down to a runny slurry.
Then suck it out with
a 12-inch water pump,
revealing the gold-rich
pay layer underneath.
Hey, guys, it's time to fire
this thing up and get the pay!
Hey, Chris, fire that pump up! Let's go!
All right, starting the pump now, Rick.
All right, here it comes.
We have the monitor in place now.
We can use that to wash
all that silt over to our pump
and hopefully have the pay
clean in maybe a day or two.
We got a new guy here,
Chris. He's working that monitor.
We need all the manpower
we can get right now.
We got a long ways to go.
I have to pay close attention
to what I'm doing here.
Rick's brought in new
operator, Chris lalonde,
for the season's second half push.
With room for just one
excavator at the bottom of
the pit, clearing the sludge is
Chris's shot to prove himself.
I'm originally from fort mcmurray, alberta.
I have spent the last five
or six years traveling around,
doing different jobs. And now I'm here.
I feel like it's going good.
They are trusting me to
try and do this task alone.
It appears I'm losing
my battle at this moment.
The water level should
continuously drop.
Now it's increasing in my pond,
guys, it looks like the pump
doesn't move the sludge.
The pump is failing to suck
out the slurry, and now...
There's an even bigger mess.
For some reason, it's stuck.
I don't know if we
sucked up a bunch of mud.
I don't know what the deal is,
but it ain't working. That, I know.
Shut it down!
- Am I good?
- Yeah.
I'm gonna have to back up.
That's good.
All we have is a steel plate
with holes welded into it.
So when we're washing all
this muck down in here, it easily
can get plugged up as
soon as any rocks, any silt,
anything gets stuck in this.
At Vegas valley, Rick's
crew is battling a thick layer
of sludge to reach the gold-rich pay.
But a plugged pump has brought
the operation to a standstill.
All right, well, we could...
Find or build a basket.
It's gonna give us a lot
more area for suction,
and then it's where we
don't have any problems
with anything clogging.
To get the pump sucking
again, mechanic Ryan Kent plans
to build a new intake
basket with bigger screens,
reducing the risk of blockages.
- Looks heavy.
- Yeah.
Three dudes to move a plate.
Right now, we're going
to look for some material
to build a basket.
We do have a bunch of punch plate.
We could cut it out and
weld a square together.
Looks like Kyle may have
found a box over there.
- 10 inch on it?
- Yeah.
We need a 12-inch.
Get rid of this.
- I'll make those work.
- I got it.
Look at that!
Once we torch this off,
we'll weld the other one right to it.
To fit the basket to the
pump's 12-inch hose,
Ryan first replaces the flange.
We got to build our own.
That's what we're going to do.
Let's see if we can
get her up this direction.
Damn, you guys are strong.
Your moms must be proud.
The main piece we need
is this victaulic right there.
Hit it with a hammer,
see if it'll break free.
Yeah!
Now what we're gonna
do is put a bead around it.
Good enough. She'll
serve her purpose now.
Hopefully, that's the quick fix
we need to be able to get that
muck out of there and get down to pay.
Ok, we need this basket to work.
If it doesn't, we're going
to be kind of ourselves
on time here.
There she goes.
We got our new basket back in.
Ready to fire.
That water is dropping pretty quick.
Yeah, it looks like the cage is working.
Yeah.
Suction's working, pump's working.
We are one step closer
to getting back to pay.
100 miles west...
Well, I guess I'm starting
a new chapter in my life
and going to look for some work.
I don't want to be going home
because I love gold mining
and can't afford to go home yet.
After being let go from
Parker's crew, tayvin Peterson
is gunning for a fresh start.
Right now I'm just looking
around, seeing who's willing
to hire a new gold miner.
Going to somebody's gold mine
and just knocking on the door.
So I guess we're here.
Hope this goes well.
Hello, how's it going?
My name is tayvin
Peterson, nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you. Pull up a chair.
What can we do you for?
I heard you were mining
up here and I was wondering
if you guys were looking for
employees or if you guys are
pretty stacked up on operators?
There are some opportunities here.
Currently right now, the big thing we're
on the lookout for is rock truck
operators and loader operators.
What is your time on those things?
So this will be my fourth season mining.
I really enjoy everything
about gold mining,
and I'm really willing to learn.
Last year, Parker had
me a rock truck, and...
Were you at Parker's this
year for the first little bit?
Yeah.
Invited me back for another
season, but things weren't
going good, and then
nona really, like, fired me.
I'm not sure why.
All right.
Ok.
But I was on sluicifer
before, for those two weeks.
I started right off on
the plant on night shift,
so they must have a
little bit of faith in me.
That is a feather in
your cap, so to speak,
because I'm always
looking for more people
who have experience feeding the plant.
Ok, this might work out
for both of us, honestly.
But if we're gonna hire
you, one of the first places
we're gonna throw you
is night shift at the plant.
So... If you're up for that...
That's great. That's what I'm looking for.
Perfect.
So for now, I'd say you're hired.
Thank you so much!
I appreciate this.
You gave a good vibe, so
let's roll those dice, see how it
- works out for both of us.
- Thank you so much.
That was awesome! Got hired.
And I'm super excited to start
working for a smaller crew again.
And the work that I do
will get noticed a lot more.
He didn't work out there.
He might work out here.
Only way we're going to find out is, well,
try him out.
Having struggled for
crew and gold all season,
second-year mine boss
Kevin beets is slowly
turning a corner.
It was tough at the start
of the year to lose both
Brennan and Kayden.
And now buzz is gone to go have a baby.
But we brought in some new crew
and we're making it work.
Only thing you can do.
Going into the second
half of the season, I'm still
optimistic that we're
going to be successful.
I don't know if we're going to
be as successful as I want it
to be, but we're still going
for a 2,000-ounce goal.
We still want to get that.
Two weeks ago, with
his pyramid cut mined out,
Kevin broke ground on the
new seven-acre sphinx cut.
With everything now riding on
the new ground, Kevin's already
down to pay and feeding
it through the wash plant.
I am hoping that sphinx
cut going to pay off better
than pyramid cut has been.
It's really important that
we hit our weekly target.
We're aiming for 100 ounces
a week, and to get there,
we've got to be running 24/7.
For his first night shift
of the season, Kevin pairs
new hire tayvin with
veteran miner Rick Johnson.
Tayvin, copy tayvin.
Copy, copy. What's up, Rick?
How's things going at your end?
Things are going really good over here.
To keep the plant sluicing
through the midnight sun,
tayvin has to feed 24
loads of pay dirt an hour.
Right now I'm just running
the plant on night shift.
We got a small crew going
right now, me and Rick.
So we gotta...
Just make sure we're
staying consistent and keeping
everything fed, and make
sure we're getting rocks washed
while we can.
Really enjoying it here.
I already got put on the wash plant,
which I'm really excited about.
Everybody's been super
welcoming and teaching me lots
and showing me how
they do things around here,
which I really appreciate.
I take a lot of pride in
what I do, and I want to be
on a winning team, so I feel like...
I need to prove myself a little bit.
I just definitely don't
want to get fired again.
We're coming to our end at night shift,
but the pace here is a little bit slower,
and I'm still getting used to it.
I'm trying my best.
There's no pay on the conveyor.
Looked like it might have
been the hopper, I think.
I'm gonna go check it out.
My!
Man, that's a big rock.
At scribner creek, 10
hours into his first night shift
for Kevin beets, new hire tayvin
has shut down the wash plant.
Sakes. What now?
Chelsea march and Tyler Potter
from the day shift arrive early
to help clear the blockage.
It looks like a big rock
got through the grizzlies.
I don't know how they
managed to make their way
through the grizzlies, this big,
and the grizzlies are this big.
I think we're gonna have to
get that big rock chained up
- to the grizzlies.
- Yeah.
So use the power of
the grizzlies to remote
lift it enough at least to get the dirt out.
- Loosen up, hopefully.
- Yeah, exactly.
Go on the top.
Beauty.
Tayvin's going to jump
in there, poke around.
We're going to run the chain
through the top and wrap
the grizzly bars with
the chain, and we'll try
and give her a little jiggle,
see if we can pop it out
inside the feeder.
The grizzly bars on the
feeder screen out large boulders
to protect the wash plant from damage.
But months of wear and tear
have bent them out of shape,
creating holes.
A large rock has fallen into the hopper,
blocking its feed conveyor.
The crew's quick fix?
Dig out a tunnel underneath
the 100-pound Boulder.
Wrap a chain around it.
Then attach the chain
to the grizzlies and use
its hydraulic ram to lift and free the rock.
Here's the other side, tayvin.
Pull that.
Ok.
Downtime.
- Get out of here.
- Yeah.
Drop the grizzlies back down,
and hook it to the grizzlies,
and try and pull it up.
- Keep tapping it up.
- Yeah.
Down, down, down.
Good, man.
Down!
Did it break the chain?
Nope. Might have wiggled off.
Chels, can you turn
the feeder on a little bit?
- Yeah, that's coming.
- Yup.
That's about as big as they come.
I got to get her going again.
The rock's out, plant's running again.
Little chaotic, but plant's going,
so that's what counts.
- Hey, tayvin.
- Quite the jam up last night.
Big rock slipped through the grizzlies.
I see you got it out. How'd that go?
So we ended up tying
a chain to the grizzlies
- and wiggling it up.
- Good job, man.
- Thank you.
- Well...
Sounds like you had
enough excitement for today,
so you may as well
go and get some sleep.
Enjoy the day.
Sounds like tayvin had a little excitement
for his first night shift.
Lifting the rock with the
grizzly bars, good plan.
So yeah, not bad for his first night.
So I'm running Bob, and I
have been doing now for quite
a few days, which means
I'm down here all by myself.
Obviously, I've got to keep Bob fed.
I've got to make sure
that Bob doesn't up.
With me being such a
rookie, it kind of terrifies me,
but I've got to learn these
things at the end of the day.
Since I've been here,
Tyson, when we go back home
of an evening, he's like an
army sergeant or something.
He's like, "what do we do
when there's something wrong
with the plant? What do
we do? What do we do?"
And I'm like, "I run for the generator.
I hit the three-phase breaker."
And then he's like, "what's next?"
And I'm like, "I hit the bypass."
And he's like, "good!"
I just heard a big crash,
which is, yep, there goes big rock.
If they make it out onto the
belt, I've got to make sure
that they go all the way
up and into the wash plant.
If they don't go all the way
up and into the wash plant,
that means they could be
stuck on the belt somewhere.
Two miles away...
So, you know, right
now the plant pad up here
in the golden mile seems to
be coming along pretty good.
Hang on a sec, guys.
I don't know what's going
on, but I just got a text
from India saying, "help!"
Come on, jarv.
The dog that appears out of nowhere.
Go on.
There's a big jamming on the belt.
I've just had to shut down Bob.
I mean, look at this.
There's a massive rock.
Humongous.
I really hope that's not up the belt.
At the bridge cut on solo
shift running wash plant Bob,
rookie loader operator India
has shut down with a
jammed-up conveyor.
Every single minute counted,
so please try and get rid of all of it.
Ok, here's Tyson.
Can you turn the water off?
I couldn't turn it all the way off.
Right.
Ok.
Ok.
That should be able to move that.
Wanna jump down?
Well, it's like two huge rocks.
There's like one underneath that as well.
Yeah.
Jump down for a sec.
Ok.
Watch yourself.
I'm going to be throwing a
massive rock off this side.
Watch yourself.
All right.
Ok, I'll go get the shaker going.
I hope for no more rock jam-ups today.
Thank you so much for
coming to help out there.
Nice work, India.
India did really well.
She caught it before it turned
into a massive pile of dirt,
because that's what happens.
All in all, I don't think that
was too much of a bad
shutdown for Bob here.
And I'm glad that I broke
my shutdown virginity in a way
that nothing was damaged
and nobody was hurt.
I definitely think I gave Tyson
a little bit of a heart attack
there with that text.
Hopefully Tyson's heart is ok.
Looking at it, like, I can
see the difference from
our start point to now,
and things are looking...
Pretty peachy right now.
I guess that's as low as she'll go.
In Vegas valley, another new
hire has been working alone.
Chris lalonde has
finally cleared the sludge
from the bottom of a tight spot.
You guys just want to swing on
down and come have a look
at the progress I've made?
Just gonna check out.
Looks good down there.
You did a k*ller job on it.
- Yeah, it looks pretty clean.
- Has it been fun?
Fun.
Fun to sit in a machine
and re-familiarize.
It hasn't been fun, don't lie.
Yeah, I think we just get
the trucks in here and see
what we can get out.
Let's get the gold.
Ready, Bailey?
Yeah, come on down.
Let's see what this is going to do.
Sounds good.
Trying to get one truck in, one truck out.
It's definitely not just drive-in, drive-out
kind of situation.
You've got to back
down all the way in here.
To haul pay from the bottom
of the 200-foot-deep valley,
Kyle and Chris have to take
turns reversing their trucks
down a narrow single-track
with steep banks.
It's finally the first scoop into Kyle here.
What's it looking like
from down there, Bailey?
Yeah, it's pretty tight.
And you know, in this position,
we need more room for sure.
I don't like this.
It's just not right, you know?
I'm just wondering if it's too dangerous.
I do take the safety of
my crew very seriously.
You have to keep it safe.
I had a visit from some inspectors.
They have the power to shut me down.
If mine inspectors visited
the claim and judged.
Vegas valley at risk of landslide,
Rick could be shut down for the season.
Hey, Bailey, finish loading.
I don't know what I was thinking, man.
Let's get the out of here.
Are you sure?
Pull it out of there. Let's move on.
Well, I guess that's it for this now.
I was really focused
on the gold down there
because we need it, and I wasn't fully
appreciating how this
was actually going to look.
We need to get this set up better.
We're not ready for this.
To make Vegas valley safe to
mine, Rick will have to expand
the bottom of the pit to make
more room, which could take
weeks and delay him getting on the gold.
We'll probably get a
little bit of gold out of it.
It ain't gonna be much,
but it did not take long to see
that that wasn't too dangerous.
- Hey, guys.
- Hey, guys.
How it goes?
- Good, how are you?
- So tired.
Yeah. I feel you.
It's the end of Kevin's
first week running 24/7,
and he's invited crew
members Tyler and Chelsea
to see if it's paid off.
All that work for this little bit of.
- Cool to see it all cleaned up.
- Yeah.
So how's tayvin been
working out on night shifts?
So far, so good. Keeps
the plant running, so...
Yeah, I mean,
the priority number one is
keeping the plant going 24/7,
which we've been doing pretty good at it,
- as you can see.
- Yeah.
For the amount of work
that we do, it doesn't look like
a lot, but for the price
of gold right now, that's...
Well, it makes a real difference.
Probably pretty all right, yeah.
Let's weigh it up and
find out exactly how good
- we've been doing.
- For sure.
This is Kevin's first gold
weigh for two weeks,
and his first from his new sphinx cut.
He's expecting to see
at least 200 ounces.
- Second jar.
- Yup.
- That's pretty cool.
- Yup.
Two weeks of running
nonstop. That's always nice.
- Yeah.
- It's nice, yeah.
Worth $876,000, Kevin's
best gold weigh of the season,
taking his total to 583 ounces,
over $2 million in gold.
It goes to show that
the effort we're putting in
- is paying out.
- Absolutely, yeah.
Maybe we should get back to it.
See you guys in a little bit?
- Cool, sounds good.
- Sounds good.
- See you, guys.
- See you.
That's a really good gold weigh.
No, no, that's pretty nice.
I mean, as long as we
keep a good crew going,
and tayvin fits in with everyone,
helps us keep going 24/7,
get us closer to that 2,000-ounce goal.
Yeah.
- What's up, guys?
- What's going on, Rick?
Nice fire.
So how's your first
week been there, Chris?
Happy to be here.
Your crew's a great crew. Trying my best.
Appreciate you being here.
No, it's good to have you.
Rick ness and his crew
battled all week to get
down to Vegas valley pay,
but Rick was only able
to run two truckloads
before calling time on the dangerous pit.
Do we know what those
two rock trucks got us?
Yeah, actually... it doesn't look like a lot,
but that's an ounce.
- Pretty good.
- That's really good.
That's almost rally valley numbers.
Right now our total's at 437.46.
We're not...
Adding a whole bunch to it,
but that brings us to 438.46.
We got a long ways to go. Yeah.
Rick's season total is worth
$1.5 million, and if he can hit.
Vegas valley's riches,
he should be on track
for his 1,800-ounce goal.
There's a considerable
amount of gold left in there,
for sure, and at least the
two truckloads told us that.
We're not gonna abandon
it, but it's just, right now,
knowing, should we be
expanding Vegas valley
so that it's easier to get?
There's a lot of things that
need to be extra done to it.
The hole's getting smaller and smaller.
You get trucks in there.
You got to do a lot of work.
Everybody busted their
asses to get to that little spot.
I know.
They're gonna be obviously
ready to tackle again,
but you're going to need a solid plan.
I'm going to do my best to...
To try and figure this out,
but I hope that you guys are on
board too, you know what I mean?
So as long as you got a
game plan, probably all game.
Appreciate it.
Rick faces a tough decision.
Spend weeks expanding Vegas valley
or find a new spot to mine.
Well, it's a small amount
of gold, but it's an ounce.
It tells us there's a lot of gold down there.
We need to get it, but I
need to come to a decision
on how to do it. We're going to expand,
or what the hell are we going to do?
There's a lot to think about,
but a decision has to be made.
- Hello.
- Hello.
What up?
At dominion, Parker's crew
gathers to find out if running
all four wash plants has
reversed last week's slump.
How'd your week go?
Well, I tell you, with four plants running,
it's hopping down here.
How about you guys?
Yeah, we had some stuff happen.
A couple days ago, India messages me,
and all I get is "help," exclamation Mark.
- No context.
- No.
When I get there, and she was
up shoveling on the conveyor,
I'm like, "you can't do
that." Like, "that is not cool."
Like, "you have to say
'the washplant's down, '"
"or 'a loader's got a flat tire, '
"or 'there's a bear in the cut, '
because I could not
get there fast enough."
She's like, "what did you want
me to do? I was shoveling."
My god.
I'm like, "well, text,
like, three more words."
- "Help, I'm shoveling."
- Yeah, like...
Well, you want to see
how Roxanne did, Mitch?
Yeah, buddy, how did we do?
First, from Ken and Stuart's
claim that's averaging
130 ounces a week.
All right, Roxanne.
Here we go.
keep going... 140, 150.4.
- Nice.
- Yeah.
That's an improvement over last week.
- The golden mile.
- Golden mile.
- And that's for both plants?
- Yes.
Next, gold from sluicifer and
big red on dominion creek,
which last week delivered 232 ounces.
We've got 20, 40... 120,
- Nice.
- Yeah.
Deadly.
Tatiana will now give you the bridge cut.
Finally, gold from wash plant Bob,
averaging 170 ounces a week.
Down from a little bit.
Bob's been a bit
depressing, to be honest.
Yeah.
Like for a pit that we stripped like 40 feet
of dirt off of the top of.
I don't know if you really get
into that good pay yet or not.
There's a lot of low-grade pay.
Hopefully it'll come back up somewhere.
Well, last week we had 428.7 ounces.
This week, 505.4.
Not bad.
Our season total, 5,855.9,
so, we're going forward.
It'd be nice if we went
forward a little faster,
but we're getting there.
Yeah, we just have
to keep plugging at her.
Yeah.
An 80-ounce increase
on last week's total,
and with gold at record-high prices,
Parker's mined over $20 million,
more cash than he's
ever made in one season.
- All right.
- Keep it up, you guys.
- Thanks, guys.
- You bet.
- Excellent job, as always.
- Thank you.
- We try to keep it clean.
- That is super clean.
Yeah.
