she's just doing the very prissy thing

that those type of egotistical women do.

and we can take your ferro rod."

I knew she was just one of those people
that usually get her way

and don't ever be told "no,"
because it was just like,

something that she saw die in front of her
happen that she didn't want to see.

We're not saying no forever, not saying
we don't wanna play a fair game.

We just wanna talk about this
a little bit more.

But also, it's pretty hard
for us to give up our k*ll

and just say, "We'll think about it."

But I think for us,
at this point, right now,

we don't need that bow.

[Pharaoh] Yeah.

Totally understand. Fire right now must
be nice, especially with those bugs.

I think one of the things is,

if I go back and say, "Hey, no deal,"
we'll redouble our efforts.

So if you guys push this to the right,
know that that deal, as early as tomorrow,

because our intentions
were to level the playing field.

And if they're not going to play fair
and sportsmanlike,

At this point,
even though the game is a long game,

we're sitting
with a bigger stack of chips,

They needed to make the deal now
because they're desperate.

They need to cook the meat.

And for me, if you're desperate,
it means you're on the brink of flaring.

[Braxton] There has to be something
at the smoke, a supply drop or something.

Who do you think we should get to go?

Honestly,
after my little forage yesterday,

I kind of discovered
a lot of that game board.

So I think that if I saw the smoke,

I might know how to get
back there a little bit.

Braxton, you're in. Okay.

I think I'll fare pretty good.
I kind of am a nomad.

I travel where I want to go,
when I want to go,

whether I have
the money to do that or not.

I've tried sitting in an office before.
I did it for a year.

That is definitely not for me.

So I up and quit,
and started my travel adventures.

I definitely put myself through
so many uncomfortable situations,

and know that I can
persevere to the end of it.

[Wes] Who's next?

[Brett] I know my way through the woods
pretty good. I grew up in a briar patch.

If it's through some thick sh*t,
I'll be able to get through it quick

before the other teams.

I've been eating bugs
and barefootin' through briar patches

since I was knee-high to a grasshopper.

- I trust 'em. I trust you guys.
- Yeah, me too. I trust you guys.

[Brett] I'm playing for my team,

but every opportunity
that is presented to me, I take.

[Brett] We're in a competition
for a million dollars.

- [Ben] Two representatives.
- I definitely think Dave.

You're very likable,
so if it's anything with the other teams,

This is a game where people are competing
for a million dollars.

So tensions are high.

Sense might go out the window,

but I was raised to have class
and respect for your fellow men.

As long as I follow my gut
and moral compass,

then I know that will lead me
to the finish line.

[Maddy] I also think Ben, because
you've already made contact with Bravo,

I think curating that relationship
looks good coming from you.

I know the other teams are gonna
send their two strongest players.

Also, we all agreed that if there was
a swimming challenge or anything athletic,

you'd be our top players for that.

All right.

The ladies on the team
see us as strong assets.

Honestly… I don't hate 'em for it.

It's a strategy, and it's not a bad one.

[Halle] Wait, but what if it's bad?

[Ben] In this game,
you never know what's coming next.

I'm just focusing on the things
that are inside my control.

[Morgan] Does anyone want to do it?

[Sean] I'd like to do it,

but I would like the full team
to support whatever decision it was.

[Morgan] Right.

[Sean] Of course I want to do this.

As a nonprofit founder
where I do work in East Africa,

I've been in tough environments,
and I've challenged myself.

But I also know that
what's been working for Bravo so far

is that we are fitting into roles
that are needed at the time.

You know, who's gonna step up?
How can we support them?

Then when that person gets tired,
let's fill in, switch these things up.

I think anything is on the table, really.

[Sean] I'm probably the one
with the lowest batteries.

is revealed 2.5 km north of Charlie Camp.

[narrator] Each team sends off
their two representatives,

not knowing what lies ahead.

It could be a test of agility,
of mental capacity.

- Hopefully we'll come back with good news.
- [Sean] Come on, guys. k*ll this sh*t.

[Abby] We have no clue
what we're getting into.

I mean, this game has no rules.

Whatever it is,
we can have the opportunity

to bring our team
even closer to that million dollars.

[soaring music builds]

[Braxton] That's sick.

[Brett] Oh, what?

- Go, go, go!
- Oh my gosh.

As we approach the smoke signal,

what we see is something that I have…

never in a million years
would have guessed.

Oh, sh*t!

- Is that?
- Oh my God.

Look at that!

We see off in the distance
this great-looking beachside bungalow…

- In this pristine location.
- [Ben] Incredibly built.

Two tarp with fronds coverage,

like, the perfect angle
so it doesn't get too smoky.

That little bungalow
they got is pretty nice.

[Abby] The raised bed we wanted.

There's everything you could
possibly need. Ferro rods.

There's two bows with blankets.
There's pots.

Is that gear?

- Look, there's like a… There's an animal.
- [Brett] Bro, a hog.

- [Abby] There's meat and everything.
- [Ben] We got a luau?

[Braxton] Basically every single thing
that all the other camps are lacking,

this camp has an abundance of.

[Abby] Yes! And a note.

[Brett] A note.

[Braxton] "Welcome to a new camp, Delta."

"Delta has all the supplies
on the game board and more."

"At least two players are needed
to form Team Delta. No more than five."

"If you cannot form a Delta team,

the supplies from Delta
cannot be ransacked."

"If you stay, you must wait 72 hours to
recruit other team members to join you."

"If you leave, you may not join
Team Delta for the remainder of the game."

[dramatic tones play]

[contestant exclaims softly]

- [inhales sharply] Yikes.
- That's a decision right there.

All right, you wanna
just run that through again?

- There's a lot to think about here.
- Oh my goodness, what?

We each had to make a choice.
Either stay with the team

or leave your team, form a new Team Delta

with every single resource
you could need to win this game.

Dude, what?
This is some mental gymnastics.

Five days without food, we're starving.

Seeing that pig that's just dripping fat
onto the fire, just golden brown fat.

It was borderline sexual
the way I looked at this thing,

but we couldn't touch it
unless we abandoned our teammates.

So we know this is like a really raw deal.

[Pharaoh] What do you wanna do?

I still really like our team,
but if we leave,

and if they choose to stay,
they get fire, they get the pig,

they get everything
they could possibly want at this camp,

and they have a leg up on us.

I'd rather not start a new team,

but I don't want other people
to be on the same playing field as me.

[Braxton] I'm not gonna lie,
we're struggling a little bit.

- We have a good shelter. Like we--
- Shelter, that's all we have right now.

Yeah, we have no fire.

No way to get food, really.

I get integrity and everything,
but look at the [bleeping] resources.

It's a game show for a million dollars.

I feel bad saying this
because we have such a tight team,

but that argues all the time,
so I don't know what I'm saying.

As a team, it's a great foundation
to a start to a great game,

but tensions were pretty high.

You keep talking about teamwork.

You on the outside looking in
to this team 'cause you lying.

- Excuse me?
- You're the one two-facing.

You can't win this game alone.
It takes teamwork to survive out here.

The one rule is
you have to be on a team to win,

so it's important
to want to actually work together.

Everybody else on our team has complained.
Have you realized that?

And then Sarah's a basket case.

- Sarah, I don't like her anyway.
- Exactly.

Me and you have to make
an all-time alliance.

All-time alliance.

Same time, 100%.
And then that's 500 Gs apiece.

[Dave] That hog looks good.

We can't let anybody take it.

We want to be true
to the ladies of Alpha Team,

but we need to get a tarp,

and we need to get a ferro rod
to make fire.

We want to figure out how to use this

to level the playing field
and get what we've been trying to get.

I think everybody's out here and is down
to play an honorable and fair game.

- They just need us to explain to them how.
- Yeah.

Because it's kind of complex.

All right, you wanna circle it up,
talk through it?

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

[Ben] It smells so good.

[Braxton] Yeah, it really does.

- This is crazy.

What are we thinking?

I'm assuming every person here is one
of the stronger members on their team.

That's why you're here.

So, this would be a strong team.

[Abby] Right.

How many of you guys
for sure want to be here?

I'm thinking I'mma stay.

I think that we're both going to stay.

- Obviously everyone.
- 'Cause somebody has to go.

[Abby] If only five people
are allowed to stay,

nobody is going to be
the one who's going to leave.

I have no idea what to do.

Me neither. It's hard as sh*t.

[Ben] We are sort of in a deadlock.

No one is willing to walk away.

Well, I'm just saying
what we're thinking we're doing. So…

I know everybody wants to try
and get this camp for themselves,

and screw everybody else over,

but that doesn't make sense.

I'm just thinking somehow we need fire,

and we've gotta get a tarp.

So I figured if I can't stay at Delta,

I think it's a good time
to go ahead and make a trade.

I think we use this as a catalyst

to make sure that everybody
has a level playing field,

and we say,
"Hey, all of us walk away from Delta."

[pensive music playing]

We walk back to our teams,

and then we promise right now
that we're going to march over, fair deal.

We will give each of you
a bow and quiver of full arrows,

and you give us a tarp, ferro rod,
same thing, whatever you're missing.

Everybody's made whole.

Everybody just goes back.

You want to do that?

[Ben] I'm a former special agent.

There's a term in interrogation.

It's called "cognitive overload."

I think that people weren't able
to think all the way through,

perhaps, what I was doing,
and I just kind of slipped in

that in order to level the playing field,
we all make this trade.

The pig stays, the net stays,
the bed stays, the blankets stay.

This whole thing doesn't exist.

This is nice.
It's as fair as it can possibly be.

It's a situation
where it might actually end well…

- [Ben] Yeah.
- …and I think that's what we should do.

In this scenario,
nobody's getting advantage,

and no teams are being ripped apart.

For me, that's the number one
most important thing.

Pharaoh's saying that's the best way
that we can keep our integrity.

Everything is fair on the board.

I'm like, "I don't want everything to be
fair on the board. This is a game."

I could see the benefits
of the spoils at Delta Camp,

but we don't need it so, so desperately
as some of the other teams need fire.

Fire is life out here.

At this point, we're pretty sure
that we're on top because we have fire,

and these other teams…

They can't cook.

They can't boil water.

Probably having a really hard time
with bugs

because there's no smoke
to get the bugs out of their camp.

Maybe that'll make some of them
flare up pretty soon.

[Pharaoh] Just bow and arrow,
tarps, ferro rods.

[Ben] Yep. Then everybody's on vacation.

We'll have everything we need,
and now everybody's even.

[Abby] So at this point,
I am willing to act like

I do wanna go along
with the majority's plan,

just so nobody can get fire
in this moment.

I think we should do it.

Okay.

Yeah, we're down for that.

We can decide whether or not

we want to actually trade
once we get back to camp.

- [Ben] I think we're all in agreement.
- Yep. All in agreement.

- All right.
- [Braxton] But…

I hate to throw a wrench in it.

- Then don't.

If I'm gonna give up this stuff,

and say screw it to everything over here,
I don't know if this is worth it.

Point is, we're trying to eliminate this,
so this doesn't become an unfair thing.

The other players during this meeting
don't have a roof over their head.

They're sleeping on the ground.
They are struggling.

I mean, you seem pretty beat up,
to be honest.

No… that's not nice, pretty boy.

I'll take it as a compliment.
So, thank you, Ben.

At the same time,
I'm not worried about them.

They have been unable
to get a fire started.

They are hungry, cold, wet,
and destroyed by bugs.

I'm just being honest.

If we joined Team Delta, we would have
every resource you could need to get by.

If Team Alpha and Bravo want to walk away,

let them do it.

That doesn't mean
that me and Buddy need to as well.

- Keep in mind, you would be a team of two.
- Yeah.

If you guys need to pop smoke,
if you need to leave here,

if something crazy happens,
you're down to one person.

That leaves you guys at
a really big disadvantage,

and I feel like there's a good chance
that you guys end up getting screwed.

The boys from Charlie didn't even
really think about the fact

that you can't win this game alone.

You need to be part of a team.

Even just one of them flaring out

would mean the other would need
to find a team to take them in.

Nobody's gonna do that.

If you guys stay,

then we promise right now
we will remember what you guys did.

Team Alpha and Team Bravo, we are
going to figure out how to get even.

Alpha and Bravo will absolutely remember
that they ditched their own teammates

and this deal,
so you would have to flare out.

And that could be kind of unfortunate.

[Dave] I'm really impressed with Ben.

their fear and their insecurity.

You could tell right away that they were
really starting to sweat quite a bit.

We can just agree
to play a clean game with these guys.

I just don't wanna
give up all these resources.

That's what I'm saying.

- We haven't had food in four days.

[Dave] He made it sound scary
for every team

that the other team would
get the upper hand unless we traded.

I know you don't love it, I get that.

I don't love it, but I'm willing to kind
of come to a consensus with you guys here.

I think that the only way
that we're going to do this

is if we all leave
and we all agree to trade.

- I don't know how we do it any other way.
- Let's do it like that.

Let's have a very clear pact, all right?

So, we're all gonna leave here, all six,

meaning that none of us can come
be part of Team Delta.

We all meet in front of Bravo,

we make the swap,
and everybody's back to their teams.

of every single possible strategy.

I was poking the bear a little bit.

I knew though that Buddy and I
would have had just a two-man team.

That is probably
the worst position on this game board.

Each of our three resources,
we're giving up two.

I almost started crying, I'm not joking.

Knowing that we're gonna
get the things that we need to survive,

the energy completely shifted on our team.

Wait, but if you stayed there,
you would be off of our team.

I cannot have that weigh on my conscience
knowing our girls were suffering. Hell no.

- No, yeah, I couldn't do it.

The fact that Ben and Dave
were willing to pretty much

give up the game on a silver platter,

especially when you're
out here suffering every day,

they didn't turn their back on us.

That's the kind of people
I want to suffer with.

We're giving two bows away,

but in return
we get fire starter and tarp.

- We're going to be dry.
- Yeah.

We can boil our water right here.

Yeah, and then all we have to focus on
is hunting. Like, that's literally it.

Now we're on vacation.

This was all Ben, by the way.
All of us were racking our brains

trying to figure out
what our options were,

what was permitted, what wasn't,
within the gameplay.

He was telling them what was gonna happen.

I knew we needed this stuff. I was like,

"Everybody brings their resource.
We do an even swap, level playing field."

How do you know
that we're gonna meet there tomorrow--

What if they go back, and their teams
are like, "I don't want to do that."

[Ben] We shook hands on it.

If they blow the deal,
nobody gets anything.

I'm always willing to listen
to the majority of my team.

Good for the pack, good for the wolf.

It's an immediate need we have.

So I understand why we're so willing
to trade, but these other teams,

I don't really trust any of them,
to be honest.

One more night of being hungry,

We may have made the deal
with Alpha and Charlie,

but I still don't want
to give up the ferro rods.

I don't think my team is thinking about
the game the same way that I am.

We need to be thinking strategically now
to get people off this game board.

[Pharaoh] Things could change quickly
once we get an arrow and that bow.

The first impression people get of me
is that I am somebody who's more calm,

more patient, just chill.

But I am ridiculously competitive.

I am somebody who will
just take a step back, I observe,

and I'm on the side strategizing
to get other people on my side.

We don't know what
this game is going to throw at us.

Of course, the unknown is nerve-racking,

but facing every single one of my fears
is how I go through life.

When I was a kid,
I was afraid of everything,

like dogs walking down
the sidewalk towards me.

I slept in my parents' bed
until I was 12 years old

because I was scared of the dark.

It was keeping me back from
doing the things that I wanted to do.

There was a point where I was like,

I need to overcome
all of these fears that I have.

That's how I got into
all of these weird hobbies.

Now I'm diving with
the most aggressive sharks in the world,

and now I'm, like, jumping on alligators.

Facing every single one of my fears

and just going head-on into them

has made me realize
that whatever difficulty is in my way,

like, I need to work through it.

So I can't follow along with
the majority vote because that's stupid.

I really need to start
playing my own game.

So basically, the only way that we could
leave that camp with everybody in unison

is if we agreed to do this three-way share
tomorrow morning on the beach.

So we're gonna have to give up
two tarps tomorrow.

We don't have to give up sh*t.

They're all playing clean.
They all want to play clean.

I'm not trying to outwardly screw people.

and vital out here for survival.

a little naive at times, which is okay.

Coming from the NFL,
I know what an intimidation factor does.

And I'm really here
to be a voice of reason,

but also a voice of assertiveness.

I'm not trying to play

because beside of our camp,

we discovered hundreds

of these annoying-a*s caterpillars.

Despite Ben saying,
"Yeah, that's no problem,"

it stung me.

The pain set in,
and it started to burn, itch, go numb.

- [Halle] How are y'all feeling?
- Feeling pretty weak, not gonna lie.

[Halle] I think we have a good,
like, two more days in us,

no food, nothing to drink,
but then we're really gonna start…

Without fire, we're starting
to run the risk of dehydration,

and everybody is starting to wonder,

drinking out of the creek?"

We're all really feeling the effects
of lack of eating,

just pure exhaustion.

I don't think anybody wants to say it,
but it's all over our faces that…

we're pretty much in trouble,

and something has to change,
or we're gonna keep going downhill.

And then plan for today,
gonna work on a fire again.
