very, very happy to have
all that.
You can see how the tide's
coming up.

and then this comes up.
The tide comes up
and screws it all up.
Honestly, I don't think
everything's gonna be
dry today.
I just don't think
that's possible.
If we can't get fire,
we still need water.
So I'll be making

I'm not, like, super worried
about anything
in these little guys.
They're too tiny to really
have much in there.
- Well, what could be in this?
- I don't know.
Fish poop.
- That's fair.
- Tonight, minnows.
- Tomorrow night, big fish.
- I hope so.
There are...
bigger fish to fry.
It's OK, it's OK, it's OK.
It's OK.
Giant rat jumped on my leg
and then jumped from me to her.
I was in a dream and then
I just, I don't know,
I kicked the roof, I felt bad.
I did everything not to do.
He was so heavy.
[bleep].
Last night I was dead asleep...
and a rat...
ran across my butt.
I'm making a deadfall trap.
Hopefully, catch this rat
and eat it.
I'm hoping tonight gives us
a chance to catch something.
- How's it going?
- Good.
- Good?
- I think I've got all the wood.
It needs time to dry.
I'm hoping to get the fire
going today,
so at least we can have rat
to eat.
I feel like a lot of it is
gonna dry out today.
Wow, that sun is cooking.
I'm getting a little red,
so I wanna...
stay out of the sun.
- OK.
And maybe later, I will go
back out with a fishing net.
I think the name of the game
today is gonna be,
"Don't move too fast."
- I completely agree.
All right, I'm gonna give
a house tour.
Do you mind if I'm loud?
- No.
- Cool.
When I create, I love working
with other people, but I always
feel this burden that I'm like,
I'm asking a favor.
Like, hey, can you create
this video with me?
I don't wanna get
in their way if they're doing
something that's
more important.
So far, we've been able
to weave the surviving
and the creating together.
Everyone to your ones.
Good afternoon, mainlanders.
We've got...
- Pearson.
- We've got...
Jaybird.
It's Beau, and I'm gonna
give you a tour of our,
what are we gonna call this?
Five-star beachfront property.
Three-bed master bedroom.
Walls are tastefully decorated.
A few steps from the bedroom,
you have your own private
secluded beach.
You're so secluded,
you could even go
skinny dipping.
All right, a little Beau
behind the scenes...
The juxtaposition
of Beau doing this
and you sitting there
is very funny.
I feel like I'm
in a dystopian society.
I think it's hard to say
when is the time to make content
or not make content.
You could frame it
as a distraction,
but I don't think
it's a distraction.
We haven't eaten
anything today.
Taken like five sips of water.
The sun is freaking brutal
coming down.
There's a lot of seafood
to catch.
I think it's more
of storytelling and just
making sure that we're
documenting these silly things
so that others in our community
can experience it as well.
All of you sitting at home,
I hope you're fist-deep
in a carton of ice cream,
'cause that just took a lot
of effort to film.
And now I have to edit it.
How many calories do you think
I just burned doing that?
At least one.
At least one.
I'm gonna be
over here editing.
OK.
Have fun.
When my partners are creating
content, I don't really mind.
I'm glad they're
getting content.
As a team, we're all
on the same page.
But we need more food.
It's Beau, and I'm gonna
give you a tour
of our five-star
beach front property.
Yes, baby!
Ah!
Yeah!
- Hell yeah!
- [bleep] yeah, baby!
Ah!
Whoo, baby!
[bleep] yeah, I'm from Jersey.
We go hard, we go home,
and I never gave up, bro.
Y'all, I just started
this fire.
This is a win.
I've been drying this tinder
out in the [bleep] sun
for two days now and I'm happy.
I just want people to know
that they can do this [bleep]
and I'm [bleep] ready to pump
my [bleep] fist.
Yeah.
OK, I'm done.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
- Oh, we got one.
- We did?
- Yeah.
- Shut up!
Yeah.
We got a rat.
- Bro!
- That worked, which is cool.
So we got breakfast.
Teamwork is amazing!
Yeah.
We're gonna do a lot
of hunting today.
I want to eat every single
edible sea creature
within a 100-foot radius
of our island.
It's still hot out,
but we're really hungry,
so our focus is 100% on food.
- Look at that!
- Oh, oh, another one!
- Oh, sweet!
- Nine happy clams.
- Caught two clams, too!
- Ha, let's go!
You think those are ready?
I think they might be.
Yeah, they're open.
- Mm!
- So good.
Dude, why does that taste
so good?
'Cause we caught it.
We're in the grocery store
now, and we've got money.
It feels good to actually
chomp down
on sustenance, on protein.
There we go.
Meat.
I don't know.
It's from the crustacean era.
We're gonna eat that, like,
tongue looking thing.
Good stuff.
We have meat, so I am stoked.
It is a miracle.
We're gonna eat meat today.
I'll teach you to jump on me,
stinking rat!
- You hungry?
- Yeah.
Rat on a stick.
Oh, hell yeah, I'm excited
to eat a rat.
I've never eaten a rat before.
It's gonna be good protein.
I'll do the taste test.
I think it tastes good.
It's really gamey.
- Like venison?
- Mm.
Like rat.
See what you think.
- Wow!
- You like it?
Tastes like chicken.
Rat, you know.
Four or five days without
protein is a long time.
You can feel it kicking
in already.
Kind of like a sponge
just waiting for water.
Never had rat before,
but that protein is really
gonna help us out.
My plan now is to keep
using that same trap
in the same location.
If it ain't broke,
don't fix it.
I wanna eat rats
for the rest of my life.
Yeah, we got some.
We got a meal.
Fish pick.
Your move, ladies.
- Oh, it's so stupid.
- We got a sea urchin!
Let's go!
Whoo!
That's frickin' sweet!
We are eating good today.
That thing looked gnarly.
There's no sea urchins
in East Texas.
I've never tasted sea urchin,
so this is gonna be a first.
I actually really need
some water.
It's hot.
Sweating my a*s off.
Giving his life
so that we may eat.
Y'all, how on earth
do we eat this?
Raw.
Pearson, grab a slice.
- Take a little bite.
- All right, cheers.
- So you're taking a nibble?
- Tiny, tiny nibble.
What does it taste like?
Oh, wait.
It tastes like sushi.
Wait.
On the second half,
it tastes like sushi.
- Pretty good.
- Like, soft.
It was so buttery.
Like, it was insane.
I would love to have that
over some sticky rice
with a little bit of ponzu
and lemon.
Oh, my God.
Jena speared it.
Now we're harvesting it.
Raw sea urchin.
Salty, creamy.
Wow.
This leftover rat I'm turning
into a broth.
I use the head, eyes,
brain, heart, liver,
kidneys, all the bones.
That's gonna give us
some extra nutrients
while we're trying to survive
out here
instead of wasting
and throwing it away.
One of the things that I do
at home, I save the scraps
of everything that I eat.
Biggest video I ever had,
I got close to 30 million views.
I made chicken and vegetable
broth from scraps that I had
laying around in the kitchen,
and I cooked it
over a couple hours.
In the next episode, we'll use
the same pressure canner
to can all these jars of stock.
This is the same premise
with this rat.
I'm not wasting anything.
Let's try some of that
rat broth.
OK.
Tastes like chicken
noodle soup.
That's good.
I was like, "Oh yeah,
we're talking about
chicken noodle soup
type [bleep]."
It tasted, like, good.
I kind of wanted to keep
drinking it.
However, looking at the hearts
and the organs in there,
I mean...
Yeah, nah, it's not about me.
I'm not about that life, bro.
Huh.
You feeling any better
after getting
some food in your belly?
Yes.
Hell yeah.
Yeah, I feel great.
- Thank you.
- Mm-hmm.
Feels like we're actually
starting to stabilize now.
We can finally enjoy paradise
out here.
Feel a little bit off.
Jena, you all right?
You choking?
Jena, you all right?
I think I'm just gonna sit
for a little bit.
- OK.
- Need some water?
Yeah.
Pearson's on it.
Anything else we can do
to support you right now?
Um, I think I really just need
to sit for a little bit.
All right.
I have been in the hot sun
and the sea all day.
Like, I might just be wiped.
- Glad you're all right.
- Thanks.
Pretty sure that I was
experiencing heat exhaustion.
Once I got in the shade
and drank water,
I felt significantly better.
Ah!
Coconut.
Container drinker.
Sea witch.
Definitely more clouds today.
I hope a storm isn't coming.
- It's raining.
- It's wet.
- It's cold.
- Yep.
Raining again.
Second rainstorm of the night.
Harder this time.
Mm.
It rained a lot last night.
It didn't stop.
My hands are prunes.
They're ridiculous.
My feet are worse.
Everything is obviously soaked.
The sun feels so good, y'all.
I've been freezing for so long.
I feel the sleepiest I've been
and the coldest that I've been.
The fire went out last night.
I'm gonna dry
some more tinder.
Just gonna get as much
as I can.
Hanging out different tinder
to dry.
I like to have a variety,
just because each thing
burns differently.
Some burns faster,
some burns slower.
It's more of like air drying,
and then I'll let the sun
bake it.
All right, I'll just let that
do its thing.
Feels very nice to be out here
after being in that cold rain.
Damn, it feels good.
Feels like I'm finally
living again.
That was pretty brutal.
Oh!
I dreamt of this moment
of sunshine.
That was the roughest night
so far.
We got inches of rain
last night, so fire is done.
But we're all committed
to finishing this challenge.
But it's like we might come out
scraping and bleeding.
So no fire, on top of that
it smells bad in here.
Smells funky.
We should replace the bedding.
Jena had checked the bedding
earlier today,
and apparently it had a lot
of bugs and was, like, rotting.
So about time we change it.
What do you--
You got to wash your sheets
every now and then, I guess.
Just need vines is
the biggest thing.
Is that it?
What about trying
to make a fire?
Yeah.
The main priority is
getting that fire
started again.
- Yeah.
- For water boiling.
Hell yeah.
I'm gonna work on fire stuff.
- I'll help you with bedding.
- Let's go.
So right now I'm collecting
vines, just looking
all over for the best,
most flexible vines we can get.
'Cause I wanna be
layering the bed weaving
again, even more.
So I'm probably gonna
collect like six or eight vines
and go back there
and start putting them on.
It's gonna be a muddy task
'cause it's so
filthy under here.
It's where the rats live.
You know, I'm gonna make
my way under here.
Mm.
You want good sleep quality,
so working through the pain.
I might as well collect
whatever I can for firewood.
This is soaked, unusable.
Fire means dry stuff,
and I'm looking around here.
Everything is either literally
submerged or is significantly
damp from the rain.
I'm trying to be picky,
like even this.
Uh-uh.
It's like back to day one.
Damn.
OK.
Keep trying.
Beau, would it be possible
for you to grab
one more vine for me?
- All right.
- Here's one for you.
- Thank you.
- Uh-oh.
- Huh?
- Are you sure?
- Yeah.
- How can you tell?
- It's white and it's sticky.
If you have white and sticky,
you guys need to wash
your hands immediately.
And don't touch your eyes.
- Oh.
- That's not good.
Is the medic coming?
So that would mean
one of these trees over here
is a blinding tree.
- Yeah, one of 'em is.
If I get the sap in my eyes,
I might get med tapped.
I'll be out of here 'cause
I'll be going blind.
I'm pretty worried.
That's like the scariest thing
out here.
Oh, that's not good.
If I get the sap in my eyes,
I'll be out of here
'cause I'll be going blind.
What I noticed was my hands
were sticky at first,
and then I looked at the vine
and inspected it, cracked it
a little bit, and I noticed
a white sap coming out of it.
- Yeah, the sap is
somewhere around here.
- OK.
Upon examination,
the medic determines the sap
did not come
from a blinding tree,
but he sterilizes
Pearson's hands
and flushes his eyes
with saline solution
out of an abundance of caution.
- Good?
- Looks good.
OK.
- Sweet.
- Yeah.
- How are you?
- Good.
Like, everything all right
with your--?
Yeah.
A little bit scary.
Yeah.
Do you wanna sit?
I've gotten so many flames
going and just burns out
in the tinder.
You know what I mean?
- Yeah.
- Still not dry enough.
Oh, I feel the hunger.
What do you think
about us fishing?
I say, "Hell yeah."
'Cause even without fire,
we can eat that fish, so.
- Yeah.
Hopefully get something to eat.
With the lack of food,
it's just like,
yeah.
But there's other means,
so we're not out of options.
The thing about fish is,
you can eat it raw.
If it's straight
out of the ocean,
it's like sashimi or sushi.
I think I'm gonna walk
out pretty far.
Tide's coming in right now.
So it's getting a little
bit deep.
Just-- oh, ah...
It's cold when it touches
the ba*ls.
This is really deep water.
I don't like open water.
I had an incident as a child
where I almost drowned,
and it's just really traumatic
for me.
I don't know how he does it.
My biggest fear is going
out there past
my neck and having to swim
and then, like, getting pulled
out to the ocean.
And that's not a situation,
like, I wanna put myself in.
I'm scared.
Deep water.
Dragonsky, she doesn't do well
with open water.
Being out here on this island
does have the potential
to be an issue.
I don't know if I can do
this right now.
I want to be brave,
but I have limits.
Today is day seven.
It's hot today.
And Jena's out in the heat
working on a fire.
This is the second day
without a fire.
We've had some troubles
with wet wood
and just the humidity here.
This place is-- is, uh...
This place can be brutal.
Not being able to get
this fire going has been
a huge dip in morale.
Huge dip.
Pearson looks like he's
[bleep] hanging on by a thread.
I'm a little bit worried
about Pearson as far
as kind of slowing down
quite a bit.
Even though it rained,
we are running low
on drinking water.
I'm starting to get
a little stressed.
I messed up my finger
trying to start fires.
It shouldn't be taking
this many magnesium strikes.
I'm gonna give it a shot.
- There you go.
- Add sticks, add sticks.
- A little blow.
- Blow.
And that happened to me
seven times.
The lack of fluid's definitely
taking a hit on me.
It's like a machine needs oil.
When you're running low on it,
you're not gonna be running
good at all, and you might
tear yourself up.
Nope.
We're working on the fire,
and we're struggling.
But...
no one cares.
Try harder.
A little toxic positivity
for us to keep us moving, huh?
I have never not slept
for like three days.
You need a certain amount
of calories to function,
and then when you're shivering,
your body's just like [bleep]
burning reserves.
- Right.
Ah!
Day eight,
I'm gonna give fire a try.
Let's see what we can do.
Grabbed the coconut husk,
it's been drying for now
two days or so.
I set it up, I pack
in some fibers,
and in less than a minute,
um, it's going.
Smells like fire,
Beau, he's cooking.
- Yeah, he's got it.
- Holy [bleep]!
Pew.
Huge plume of smoke.
I'm so happy!
OK, here's stuff.
It's gonna burn
coo-- like, well, and I'll go
bring you more stuff.
Thank you.
I'm glad that Beau got the fire
started because that means
we can actually boil some water
and get really hydrated,
and we can actually cook
some calories up so we can do
a lot more.
- Ah!
- Let's [bleep] go, dude.
- Good stuff.
- Did you test the pot?
- It's hot.
It is hot, but it tastes good.
- Oh, that's really hot.
- Tea temperature.
What kind of tea
are you drinking?
It's, like, really hot.
We boiled water, and we're all
getting hydrated,
so we're feeling good
about that.
Joy overwhelms my body
as I drink water again.
We're gonna be extra careful
about the fire from now on.
Yes, we are.
I'm gonna be going
on a little walk.
It's time to see what else is
around the corner.
On our west side of the island,
the sun, it sets there,
but it doesn't rise,
so it stays colder,
and the wind's a lot worse.
You can't even get a fire going
because it's so windy.
I'd love to move to the east
side and try and get
some of the good attributes
of that side of the island.
And just the prospect of doing
that and the change of scenery,
I think, is gonna be
really good for morale.
Do you wanna come
or do you wanna sleep?
I know you need your rest.
I'll take one later,
but I definitely wanna
- OK.
These rocks are
really treacherous.
They're like razor blades.
So luckily, I made some shoes
out of materials I scavenged
that washed up on the beach.
Hopefully, I can get over
to the other side of the island
without cutting my feet.
I found a new beach.
The tide's a little high,
so I need to figure out
a way down there without
getting cut up by the rocks.
If there's a coconut tree,
that would be sweet.
Those husks have been
really good for our fire.
I see some naked people.
- Who is that?
- Wait, what?
That does not look like Jena.
- What?
- Who are you?
I see some naked people.
- Who is that?
- Dude!
- Who are you?
- I'm Beau.
Beau?
Perry.
- Pearson.
- Pearson?
- Nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you.
Are you a local here?
You just live deep
in the forest, or?
No, no.
- I'm shocked.
- Lost for words, yeah.
Yeah, I did not expect to see
another naked person
that wasn't Pearson or Jena.
It's like, what are the odds
of that?
We were just looking for some
coconuts and some bamboo,
and we come across
another naked dude.
- Freakin' sausage island here.
- Sausage island.
We have a third teammate.
How many are you with?
I have one teammate
over there.
She didn't get any sleep.
She's resting now.
- OK.
- So what do you guys do?
- I do content creation.
- I do content creation.
Jena also.
We're all content creators.
I am too.
I follow you, actually.
Really?
That's awesome.
- Yeah.
- Creator Island.
I like it.
Yeah, that's pretty cool, guys.
Perry, he turned out to be
following me, following along
with the Wild Cabin Project,
which I thought was really neat.
And he watched my videos
and that just blew my mind.
I thought that was
the coolest thing.
It made my day today, honestly.
Yeah, I'm excited
to trade secrets.
Yeah, yeah, me too.
What kind of structure
did y'all make?
- 'Cause we made an A-frame.
- I did like a shed-roof.
You guys are welcome
to come check it out.
- We'd love to.
- Yeah.
Sure.
Lead on.
So I just ran into some
naked people on the island.
It's a big surprise.
This should be interesting.
Maybe we can swap stories
and help the rest of this time
here on "Naked and Afraid"
pass by a little easier.
Dragonsky?
- We have company.
- Hi.
- Hi.
- I'm Beau.
I'm Dragonsky.
Pearson, it's nice
to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
It was a rough night
last night.
- Interrupting your sleep.
- I'm just tired.
Sleep deprived.
Immediately, I'm thinking,
"Wow, new people."
I'm like, "Yeah."
I'm really excited to learn
about them and see if we can
combine our forces.
This is gonna be
an exciting six days.
You wanna come see our place?
Yeah, I'd love to.
My first impression of Beau
and Pearson,
they're all smiling.
They're ready to hang out,
to impart knowledge on me,
and to learn from me.
I think we're gonna get
along great.
God damn it!
I knew they'd find
something cool.
We've multiplied.
- Jena.
- Yeah.
- We've got visitors.
- Hello.
- Nice to meet you, Jena.
- Nice to meet you, too.
- I'm Perry.
- I'm Jena.
- I'm Dragonsky.
- Hi.
- Nice spot.
- I like your glasses.
- They're both creators as well.
- Mm-hmm.
Whoa, cool.
So, like, overall,
how are you guys faring?
- Like, how's it going?
- Yeah, I like it.
Yeah, I'm having a good time.
What are you guys eating?
- Rats.
- Yeah, we eat rats.
There's been
[bleep] rats everywhere.
You ate rats?
- Yeah.
- Tell them what you caught.
- Oh, I caught a sea urchin.
- Yeah.
- That's cool.
- That's super cool.
You want a tour
of our fort?
Yeah.
It's nice to see
another woman.
Yeah, me too.
I was like, "I would like
to see another woman.
I need to be around women."
And I like your tattoos.
- Thanks.
- Like, what are they?
Um, I have--
So, this one,
actually, probably the most
relevant I got because I do
energy work.
- Mm-hmm.
- Reiki.
My friend's a witch,
so she's like...
- I'm a witch.
- No way.
- Yeah.
- I'm an empath,
so I'm just like, I sense
energy and stuff.
Yeah.
This is great.
This is lovely 'cause people
just look at me like I'm crazy.
Bat[bleep] crazy?
Same.
Yeah, they're like,
"Yeah, you're just
making it up," I'm like, "No."
When the two tribes meet, pew,
there is kinetic energy
all over the place.
And it's this uptake in energy,
like the flame of a fire
coming up.
And it's exciting to me.
It's a hell of a fire
you got there, man.
Looks good.
It's really windy on that side
of the island.
We were pretty cold.
How would you feel about
building a shelter over here?
I'm thinking that we just move.
Just move over.
I had an idea.
How about underneath
of your shelter?
Could work.
It's a little bit
muddy under there.
Maybe I'll lay down
some leaves or something.
- Cool bit of bedding.
- Yeah.
- This is badass.
- Welcome to the party!
Oh, hell yeah!
We got this.
- We got this.
- Sweet.
Cool.
Oh, this is exciting stuff!
Sleepover!
- We got a clam boil.
- Look at this.
Clams coming off the fire.
All-you-can-eat clams.
- Dig in, guys.
- What do you think
of that?
- They taste so good.
- Mm.
- What are we eating?
- Lots of clam.
Full moon dinner.
- Clams are great.
- And we have a fire.
What's the morale?
- 1 to 10.
- 10.
Yeah, I think
it's definitely a 9.5.
- We got a--
- I'm at an 8.
We got an average of 9.25.
Too busy eating clams.
Clam bake.
Full moon.
- Whoa!
- Thank you, moon.
Keep the fire going.
Let's keep this party rolling.
I am the fire queen.
Yah, baby, yah.
Yah!
So here on the beach,
I have noticed
there's a big log.
It's a-- it's a big one.
It's heavy, too.
On the map, I saw a red X
as our extraction spot,
and it's out there
in the ocean.
I believe that this thing is
gonna make an excellent pontoon
for a raft for our
extraction day on day 14.
I'm hoping this thing floats.
Let's give it the old push,
push-a-roo,
and see what happens.
- OK.
- Three, two, one.
- Three, two, one.
- There you go.
- Nice.
- It's nice.
- It is nice.
- Is it supporting you fully?
- Yes.
It's supporting me fully, too.
What you got there?
It's like we got part
of a raft.
Heck yeah!
Let's [bleep] go, dude.
Dang!
This is great, this log.
So what I'm thinking is
big pontoon here,
and then maybe a couple
structurally-set-up pieces
of bamboo.
To battle the ocean tides
and reach their
extraction point,
the survivalists will
construct a raft
with a large buoyant log
as the base,
lashed with vines
to an outrigger frame
of sturdy green bamboo
for added stability
and support.
I love this idea.
Go team!
- All right.
- Good talk.
I'm excited about this.
So I know we have, like,
a bit to get done today.
We're gonna need a lot
of lashings and probably
a lot of help with that.
- Yeah, I'm down with that.
That's, like, probably
one of the most important parts
so that it doesn't disassemble
while we're out there getting
pushed around by waves
and paddling and pushing on it.
The plan today is to work
on our raft.
We have quite a bit
of materials that we've gathered
over the past few days.
We've got a really large log.
Basically, we're gonna build
the outriggers out of bamboo
and lash these bamboo
pieces together.
There you go.
The log will come
down there right in the center.
- Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, let's go ahead
and start lashing.
Lash together any
of these four corners.
I like raft building.
It's something we did
in Boy Scouts that actually
held together
'cause we knew our knots.
So I'm excited to do that again
on this island and get us
out of here.
- Damn!
That baby is secure!
It looks good, Beau.
Good job.
You did good, Dragonsky.
Thanks for teaching.
Oh, yeah.
It's looking good.
I'd like to run a test
with the rigging to see
how much buoyancy we have
just holding on to this.
Kind of float it
out a little bit.
Sit on our backs and kind
of paddle a little bit.
- Without the log.
- Without the log, yeah.
Just the outriggers.
Plan is for Jena, Pearson,
Perry, and I to hang
on the outrigger frame
to test the buoyancy.
Ultimately, when this is all
roped together, Dragonsky will
be on the center log
while us four kick.
Me being afraid of really deep
water is not fun.
I'm so anxious right now.
There's a possibility
I'll just panic.
- OK.
- It's scary,
and see, even my voice,
I'm just a little shaky
about it.
Yeah, I see it all the time
as a lifeguard instructor.
For this demo, could
Dragonsky just go
in between you and I?
- Yeah.
On this?
All right.
You don't want your first
experience of touching
this raft in the ocean
to be extraction.
- Yeah.
- We'll find a way
to get into meditation mode.
- OK.
- That's what I do out there.
I am very scared.
I'm afraid of open water
like this.
So, for me, it is important
to get out there and test it out
and see how I'll react.
Three, two, one, lift.
The test of the outrigger
float is a success,
but seeing Dragonsky's
reaction becomes
my biggest concern.
No matter what,
even if everything floats,
if Dragonsky isn't able to get
on the raft or isn't able to
maintain some level
of calmness out there,
then that could spell disaster
for us.
As a lifeguard, as a swim
instructor, I know what
it looks like when someone is
verging into panic zone.
And as we go out and we're
getting a little bit deeper,
I see that look of frazzled,
big, doll glass eyes
in Dragonsky.
I see her setting into that
panic moment.
All right?
I got you.
I wanna talk about something
sort of serious.
I've noticed a lot
of you joking about
how much they're going to blur
or to be nice to production
so that they extend the blur
a bit lower for me.
And I wanna cut those
conversations off now.
It's not what I'm here for.
And it's honestly
the last thing on my mind.
I have no sway
in it regardless.
Production handles
that entirely.
So, I really have no idea
actually how far they would
blur even.
And it's not important.
It's not important.
It's not why I'm here.
And so, I would really love
if we could change
the conversation to what
I'm doing here and surviving
and everything around that.
All right?
I'd appreciate that.
Thank you.
All right.
This is an intense moment.
I realized that she's
in a very vulnerable position,
and I did my best calm voice
and meditative breath.
Yes.
Good job, you two.
I felt like I was gonna die.
That's how panic attacks feel.
But I feel really reassured
by Jena.
And she was just
keeping me centered.
She was like, "Good job
on breathing,"
lots of reassurance.
It was a powerful moment.
Being afraid of deep water is,
like, one of the most common,
huge anxieties for people.
It's a really big deal,
what you just did out there.
I mean, I'm happy I got
through it.
I appreciate you a lot.
We're gonna get
there together.
Thanks.
I'm definitely terrified,
but I'm like, "You know what?"
Trauma doesn't define me.
Trauma's not gonna control me,
and fear won't.
I'm just gonna go
and knuckle it up.
Hoping to chat about
the extraction with everyone.
Let's do it.
We are here, so we should be
heading that way.
The survivalists must navigate
their raft five miles east
across the open ocean,
facing unpredictable weather
and treacherous waves to reach
their extraction point.
Jena, as most knowledgeable
about the ocean,
what should we be aware of?
I think there's three
main things,
one is we need to be
really careful to keep this
straight out as we go out.
We don't want that rolling
over anyone.
- Second thing is the jellies.
- OK.
I don't know how much we can
prevent that.
Sharks, are they a concern?
If you see a shark,
stop kicking your feet.
Don't look like prey.
If you look like prey,
it will be more interested.
And the way a shark is
interested is with its mouth.
So we don't want
an interested shark.
Today is gonna be the doozy.
We've got this big, heavy raft
that we have to lash together,
hope it holds together.
And then get it out somewhere
in the middle of the sea.
That's a big day for us.
It's gonna take a lot of energy.
- We're ready.
- We're getting out
of here.
We are leaving this place.
I feel like a pallbearer.
Pretty cool, you guys.
- Like a glove.
- Whoa!
All right, let's get
the lashes.
This is the raft that has been
built over the past few days.
Everyone's working together
as a team to get this thing out.
Looking dope.
Jena, how you feeling?
I feel great.
- Pearson, how are you feeling?
- Fantastic.
- Ready to go out to sea.
- Yeah.
Perry, how are you feeling?
Ready to get the hell
out of here.
- And me, yeah.
- You know what?
We'll see how it goes.
All right.
Let's do this!
Now, it's just a matter
of getting out
to that extraction point.
What we don't know is how
the tides will shift,
what animals are under us,
or if the weather will change,
and we've seen that it can
change in a heartbeat.
Lacking nourishment
and dehydration,
but mentally, we're here
and ready to do it.
We got some good
momentum going.
All right.
- Goodbye, island!
- Yeah!
How you doing, Dragonsky?
I'm OK, just need
to stay focused.
I'm feeling a little nervous
about this thing.
I'm just really focusing
on paddle, paddle, paddle.
Don't look out, breathe,
paddle, breathe, paddle.
I'm OK.
I'm all right.
I'm gonna be OK.
How's the lashing holding up
on everybody's section?
All right.
Yeah...
All right.
The current changes,
and now it's against us.
It's like you are fighting
a treadmill, and it'll tire
people out a little quicker.
We gotta be almost there.
Almost.
Every island now seems
equidistant, so everything
seems pretty far away.
There's no boat in sight,
there's no piers,
and we are just specks
in the ocean.
Guys, guys, guys, guys,
guys, guys, guys.
- That's the boat!
- Yeah!
- We're getting out of here!
- Yeah!
- Oh, my God!
- Yeah!
- I know!
- Oh, yes!
I got it.
Just you.
Just you.
- Dragonsky.
- I'm here.
- OK.
- Whoo!
Dragonsky, you did it!
- Oh, my god!
- You did it!
To paddle in the ocean,
I'm afraid of open water.
To finish the 14 days, I did
something that I've never done
before, and I got
through it, so...
I'm stronger because of it.
But this goes out
to Black women everywhere.
You guys can do anything.
Yeah!
I'm proud of all of us.
We did great throughout
these two weeks.
And we pulled through
and got together!
This experience really
changed me.
Being outdoors,
I'm mostly alone.
So working with
all these people was
like a new situation.
It opened my eyes, ideas-wise,
resource-wise.
And it's just one hell
of a memory I'll never forget.
- We did it!
- Whoo!
- Let's go!
- Goodbye, island!
Being out here on this
challenge, I've proved
to myself again that I can do
hard things,
that I can set my mind
to something,
stay disciplined,
and get it done.
- I had no doubt.
- Oh, I could kiss all of you.
I achieved a lot out here.
All of the studying
and preparation that I did,
I was able to bring to fruition
with little to nothing.
It's a really good feeling.
I'm really excited to see
my followers check out
what I've been up to.
- Whoo!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Let's go!
- Let's go!
- Yeah!
I did this for a younger
version of me, little Jena,
who had dreams to do weird,
cool, hard challenges,
and I just can't imagine
that she wouldn't be in awe
of what I just did.
There's just a new confidence
in my spine,
and I'm excited
to bring that home.
Over the course
of the 14-day challenge,
limited protein caused
each survivalist
to lose weight
and muscle mass.
But they showed
the necessary skill,
teamwork, and determination
to raise their individual PSRs
and prove to their followers
they have what it takes
to survive "Naked and Afraid."
- Let's go! Let's go!
- Yes!
We did it!
