stylist and number-one fan

of pre-loved fashion.

at second-hand clothing

before buying new.

I'm about to surprise Tyler,

a 42-year-old outreach officer.

As a trans man, Tyler's found it hard

to find the right clothes

since he's transitioned.

Tyler thinks he's been invited

to a coffee shop for

a casting to be on this show.

But what he doesn't know is

that he's actually on the show.

This is pretty crazy, yeah,

I've got to say.

So, Tyler, how has your journey

influenced your fashion choices?

I'm a transgender man

and I came out at the age of 41.

Now, I basically just don't go

clothes shopping.

When I go into a clothes shop,

trying to find something

that fits me, find something I like.

And then I've got the issues

of going into the changing rooms

and not knowing

where to get changed.

And it's resorted to me wearing

the same clothes every day,

andand not particularly

having a style.

Obviously money now is tighter

and stuff.

So does that have an impact as well?

People are struggling at the minute.

I'm struggling at the minute.

Paying bills, cost of living,

everything's gone up.

And I've got a little boy as well,

so he always comes first

with everything.

But for me then to think about going

further afield for clothes

or looking in different shops,

it's just not going to happen.

It's just I just can't afford

to do it.

So if you were to have, like,

a magic wand,

what style would you have

for yourself?

Honestly, smart casual.

Erm, I want to be able to go out

for dinner, go out for a drink

and look smart but casual as well.

I like T-shirts, shirts, pants,

things like that.

But I just want things to look

like they belong on me, you know?

I don't want it to look

like just throwing on a T-shirt

that's ten times too big for me.

I just want smart casual,

just to look nice.

Don't worry. I think you're going

to have an amazing day.

Tyler's been struggling

with what to wear. Some days he'll

go into his wardrobe, and he could

have a lot of clothes but

in his words,

"I've nothing to wear."

I'm not going to lie, it's not

a wardrobe that I would open

in our house and go,

"That's Tyler's wardrobe."

Oh! Like it is not what I would

imagine him being in.

But I'm excited to see

what the outcome will be.

With being a stylist, I can make

some bold and brave choices

for some people, so I'm going

to make you love these pieces.

So when I saw the rail of clothes,

I did feel nervous,

really apprehensive because

trying on clothes for me

in the past has been so

nerve-racking and

it's caused me so much anxiety

but, yeah, I'm glad I did it.

Do you think now you're more

confident?

Yeah, definitely.

Now that I know that sometimes

it's not about what's on the shelf,

it's about trying it on

and taking that chance.

Definitely feel loads better now.

So would you pick something

pre-loved?

Most definitely.

I've always been the type of person

that I've always wanted

brand-new clothes.

But after this experience,

it's made me realise that actually

there's lots of stuff out there

that isn't necessarily old stuff.

It's stuff that actually is

just getting passed on

and I can make good use of it

like other people can.

Having, like, these clothes on today

and feeling the quality of them

and looking at them

and you would never know.

And it's just made me look at things

completely different.

And as I transition and I change,

it'd be nice to know that

if I then sell clothes on, that

someone else is going to benefit

like I've benefited today.

Chantelle, how do you feel having

like set your husband up?

Do you think that you've had a good

time today?

Oh, yeah, definitely. I've had a

good time.

It's been an amazing experience.

Tyler, honestly, you look

fantastic today.

And we have got one more final

Honestly, I think Tyler was happy.

I meanit was a hard job to do.

Not going to lie. You know, Tyler's

very much into his casualwear.

But I think

he was very open-minded today.

You know, he saw the blazers, he saw

the suit, wasn't too keen

on the grandad shoes. But,

you know, it's not for everyone.

The flat cap. I would really love

to see him in the flat cap.

Yeah. But the beanie looked amazing.

And that varsity jacket on him.
