- [Heath] Only one thing now stood between us

and the finals of the Solar Blue surf-off:

that was our end-of-year school results.

Just like the lottery, you hope you get lucky,

and the numbers would fall your way.

[Edge cheering, yelling)

- You did it?!

- %, yeah! [Bec shrieks)

- I told you you'd make it!

- So where's the party gonna be?

We've got a whole year's results to celebrate.

- Hold on, aren't we like,

forgetting someone?

- Didn't Heath come out with you?

- Edge?

- I guess he's still inside.

- Well done, Judy.

Congratulations.

[birds chirping)

So, Heath.

Lucky last, eh?

- Mr. Savin, if you're gonna fail me,

I'd rather you make it quick.

- Oh, actually, it's not that simple.

- Why not?

- You're right on the line, Heath.

I could give you %, which means you'll fail,

or I could give you %, and you'll pass.

- So, my future's in your hands, then.

- Ah, no, mate.

You can't palm it off that easily.

Your future's squarely where it's always been:

entirely with you.

is that you push your luck.

is that's what life is all about.

Go with the flow, and luck decides whether you win or lose.

- Yes, but you have to put yourself in a position

to take advantage of the luck when it comes.
