[growls]

[zaps]

[screeches]

[thunder rumbling]

[majestic theme playing]

[blasting]

[growls]

[growls]

[growls]

- [zapping]
- [grumbles]

- Target acquired.
- [beep]

Tracking tag
activated and ready.

[squawking, chirping]

- Okay, Dr. D. It's all you.
- I got your back.

[chirp]

[grunts]

- [squawking]
- [D'Angelo grunting]

- TOM: I got him!
- [both grunt]

- [sighs] So close.
- [chirp]

[both panting]

- [chirp]
- [both grunt]

[squawking]

Come on! Come
here, little fella!

No, don't... [frustrated grunt]

- Isn't science fun?
- D'ANGELO: Get him!

Sadly, no amount of
scientific observation

can explain the behavioral
patterns of those two.

- Whoa!
- Ah!

- [screaming, grunts]
- [dragons growl]

[quiet squawking]

- You're such a sweet dragon, aren't you?
- [beep]

[gasps] Aw!

- Hi! [Gasps]
- [chattering]

How did they...

Tracker is paired.

You know, we make a great team.

I think we're mind melding.

Two are becoming one.

Mm, I think we're still two.

Jun and Alex. Ooh, Jalex!

Or wait. Aljoon!

- Oh boy.
- [Plowhorn growls]

[D'Angelo and Tom grunt]

Not too shabby.

Now we can track
your migratory habits

to better understand
your health needs.

And hopefully get an idea of
how big this world actually is.

Hey, isn't this the area
we found the Bubble horns?

Here we go. In three, two, one.

- Nibbles!
- Careful, Jun!

Remember, Bubble
horns are no joke!

[grunts, screams]

What is it? The Bubble horns?

- No! I got webbed!
- There's a web on me!

There's a web on me!

Is there a spider?
[hyperventilating]

The great Jun Wong
is afraid of spiders?

- Of course! Because I'm normal!
- Quick, is there one on me?

Nah, you're clean.

Not sure about normal.

Spiders are just
solitary creatures

who build their homes
in dark, quiet places.

What's not to love?

Seriously, Alex? You're afraid
of everything except spiders?

What can I say? I'm a hacker

wrapped in mystery,
stuck inside a matrix.

There's a lot of web,

but I don't see
any Bubble horns.

I'm sure they're smart
enough to hate spiders, too.

Should we check it out, pal?

[curious growl]

[sniffing]

[angry snarling]

- I got your back, Kullersen.
- Let's do it.

Two boys stared doom in the eye.

- What could go wrong?
- Tom, listen to your dragon.

It's a bad idea.
Let's just go home.

[Thunder snarls]

[Wu and Wei growl]

Yeah. Maybe Jun's right.

Uh, there is no maybe about it.

- It's getting late anyway.
- [grunts]

[chattering, squawking]

[D'Angelo grunting]

You know what this
place could really use?

- A chiropractor.
- [back cracks]

- [Tom laughs]
- [chirp]

[chirping]

Oh man. That bird built its
nest right near the blades.

We got to do something before
it gets chopped in half.

- I'll call my dad.
- Come on, D!

- [bird chirping]
- We don't need him. We got this!

Oh man.

[grunting]

[continues chirping]

- Come here, little birdie.
- Come on.

- Whoa! [Gasps]
- [grunts] Don't worry!

- I gotcha.
- Thanks, D.

[grunting]

- Whoa!
- [chirping]

Whoa... Whoa!

[gasping]

Not... good!

[grunts] Ah!

Chief Baker. [Nervous laugh]

Seems like I'm making a career
out of catching you, Tom.

[pecking, chirps]

- Let me explain, Pops!
- There is no explanation.

Both of you could have
fallen to your deaths.

[sighs] This is
not a playground.

It's a billion-dollar facility

and you should have
followed protocol.

I half expect this
from you, but...

[sighs]

You, I taught you better, son.

- I know, Pop, I tried...
- Trying isn't good enough, D.

TOM: Chief Baker?

It's my fault. I made him do it.

You made him do it.

I have nothing else to say
to you right now, D'Angelo.

- Don't listen to him, D.
- [D'Angelo sighs]

I always listen to him.

That's your mistake.

Oh, come on, man.
We saved the bird.

So what if your
dad's ticked off?

So what if my dad's ticked off?

And by the way, why did he
take the little guy with him?

Forget about the bird, Tom.

Look, I appreciate you trying
to take the heat for me,

but my dad's right.

We should have called security.

- Security?
- That's not what we do!

Our mission is to
protect... animals.

Yeah! Down there, not up here.

Up here is my dad's domain,
and we follow his rules.

- I follow my own rules.
- Whatever world I'm in.

- Not your dad's.
- Yeah?

That's why you almost k*ll
yourself every other day.

Newsflash, Tom! If it
wasn't for me, and for him,

you would be lying on your
face underneath that windmill!

So from now on, you do
you, and I'll do me.

- [cutlery clinking]
- [sighs]

May I be excused?

Aren't you going to
finish your potatoes?

Not very hungry.

Well, there must
be something wrong

because those words have
never come out of your mouth.

You do realize there are
hungry kids all over the world?

[sighs] Just go.

[door shuts] - He was
trying to be heroic, Philip.

- He was being careless!
- [bangs table]

Both of them could have been
seriously hurt or worse.

Hm. Reminds me of
some of the stories

you've told me about
your teenage years.

Yeah, that's what worries me.

I wish he'd stay away
from that Kullersen boy.

He's a bad influence.

- You mind?
- You're a little close.

- Plowhorn needs her space.
- No problem.

Thunder would rather fly next to
Wu and Wei anyway. Right, pal?

[confused growl]

- Careful, Wu and Wei.
- Guy's a bad influence.

- Might get you in trouble.
- Ha! That's very funny.

I bet they didn't have any
problem standing up to their dad,

and he was a two-headed dragon.

[both grumble]

What's up with you guys?

You were all bro-y yesterday,

and now you're all broody today.

Yeah. Broody's my thing.

Nothing! I'm fine.

Me too. Perfect.

- [quiet screech]
- [gasps]

[chittering, squeaking]

- That's a new dragon!
- A very spidery-looking dragon.

I need to get a closer
look in case it's hurt.

[laughs] Just wait a
second, and we'll all go.

Seconds are precious
when you're dealing

with a medical emergency!

We don't know if it is
a medical emergency.

- D'ANGELO: Oh, uh, right.
- [annoyed grunt] Okay. Time out.

How about you to stop bickering

before I have a
medical emergency?

[distant screeching]

[chittering, screech]

- Yep, it's all spidery.
- Doesn't look injured.

- Probably lost.
- You can't tell if it's injured

without giving it a
proper examination!

And just because
your dragon's lost,

doesn't mean every
dragon's lost.

Am I the only one who
thinks that dragon

probably came from the spider
web cave we saw yesterday?

- Oh no.
- No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

- Good point, Alex.
- We should take it back there.

- It's part of our mission.
- D'ANGELO: Yeah,

only if it's lost.

So, you're saying you don't wanna
fulfill our mission down here?

I'm saying you have it twisted.

Forget it. We don't need
your help. You guys in?

I can sympathize with a dragon

who wants to get
back to its room.

I'll just supervise
from over here.

Way over here.

- Thunder.
- [grumbles]

[grunts]

[squawk]

[chittering]

- [squawk]
- [Plowhorn grumbles]

Dude, what is your problem?

I don't have a problem!

I need to examine my patient!

- [squawk]
- Oh...

[screech, pop]

- Ah!
- [splat]

See? You made it mad!

It's aggressive because
you're messing with it!

Guys! Stop!

Your negative energy

is rubbing off on the dragon.

[squawks]

Come on, pal. Let's take care
of this and get this guy home.

Oh no. He is staying right
here where we found him!

No, he's going back to his cave.

- Guys, stop it!
- You're scaring him!

- [overlapping arguing]
- [loud screech]

[screaming]

- Jun!
- [Jun gasps]

- [chittering]
- [whimpers]

[shrieks]

- It's on me! It's on me!
- Ah, it's on me!

Now, look at what you did!

Should have left it alone.

Me? You're the
one who jumped in!

Ah! I don't care whose fault
it is! Just get it off!

- [Jun grunts]
- [confused growl]

[screaming]

[chittering]

[struggling]

[yelling, crying]

[groans]

- [crackling, squawk]
- [screaming]

Okay! Okay! Just relax.

Relax?! I have a spider
dragon on my head!

If it's any consolation,
you wear it well.

[tense music]

Thunder, give it a little zap.

- Just enough to get it off.
- What?

- Ah! Oh, ow!
- [chirps]

- Oh, that's making it worse!
- D'ANGELO: Here.

- Let me. The doctor is in.
- [chittering]

Huh. I don't think it's mad.

- I think it's scared.
- [quiet chirp]

Okay, calm down,
little Spider wing.

I'll get you off,

Prep for surgical removal.

I'm going to need
a little loogie.

[gurgling, growls]

No! No. Stop it. No one is
zapping or loogie-ing my head.

Find another way.

Maybe if we bring
it back to its home,

it'll detach on its own.

It's probably solitary,
just like a spider.

- [chittering, squawk]
- [Jun sighs]

[grunts]

[Jun whimpering]

- [chittering]
- [grunting]

Oh, why isn't it getting off?

I think our dragons might
be making it nervous.

- [curious grumbling]
- Can't imagine why.

Maybe you should take it
inside, let it calm down.

Inside that web-filled cave?

I'll go with you, Jun. Come on.

It's probably these bickering
boys making it nervous.

- After you.
- No, please.

- I insist.
- You always do.

- [whimpering]
- [Spider wing chattering]

- Alex...
- I'm right here.

Just a little further and...

- Ah! Web! No, no, no, no, no!
- [scared squawking]

No! Jun!

BOTH: Oh! Jun!

- [splat]
- [both gasp]

[Spider wing screeching]

- Wait! No, Jun!
- [screaming]

- [Jun wailing]
- [chattering, squawking]

[both grunt]

- [Jun gasps]
- [chittering]

[both struggling]

- [Jun whimpers]
- [squawk]

TOM: Jun! Alex! You guys okay?

JUN: Define okay!

D'ANGELO: Is anything
trying to eat you?

BOTH: No.

Alright. Just hold
tight. We'll get you out.

I have never felt so at ease.

Thunder, get us in there.

[powering up, zaps]

Move over, Sparky.

I know you got this, girl.

[growls]

[blast, splat]

[concerned growl]

These things are dragon-proof!

We need my Pop's bolt cutters.
They cut through steel.

Dude, your pop is not the
answer for everything!

My mom's blowtorch will
melt right through it.

Oh, my dad's not the
answer, but your mom is?

And how is her little torch going
to melt something Plow can't?

Because I know how to use it!

D'ANGELO: Maybe start
by using your brain.

- [gasps] Okay, okay, okay.
- We'll grab both.

[squawk]

Ah, say something to
make me feel better.

- Like what?
- Anything. Something positive.

Positive? Mm, that's
not really my specialty.

- Okay, well, try!
- I'm freaking out!

- [squawk]
- Okay, okay. Um...

Mm! I'm mostly confident
the sun will rise tomorrow.

[chattering]

- See? It worked.
- The power of positive thinking.

Say something else.

The dragon's probably
not even venomous.

Most spiders aren't.

They're just misunderstood
creatures, like me.

- Totally harmless.
- Are you sure?

Well, one can never be
too sure about anything.

- [squawk]
- Okay, pump the brakes.

You're heading back in
the wrong direction.

Seriously, Jun, I don't think

anything in here is
going to hurt us.

It's just a spooky cave.

- [squawk, chattering]
- Unless...

that's the mother.

And those are the babies.

[squawk]

And we're the first meal...

[both struggling]

[chattering, squawk]

Say something to
make me feel better!

D'ANGELO: There is no way a
blowtorch has as many uses

as a good pair of bolt cutters!

JUN: Tom, Tom, you got
to get us out of here!

ALEX: Or we're going
to be baby food!

Did she say, "baby food"?

- [screech]
- [gasps]

- [whimper]
- [chittering]

- [Jun screaming]
- [screech]

- [Spider wings chattering]
- [girls struggling]

- Jun!
- Alex!

[straining]

[Tom grunting]

- [both grunt]
- [blasting]

[zap]

[screech]

[blast]

[D'Angelo yelling]

[grunting]

[panting]

We've gotta get through this.

- [screeching]
- We've got bigger problems.

[chattering]

[chattering]

[growling, zapping]

[D'Angelo yelling]

[both gasp]

[panting]

BOTH: Oh! Huh?

Would have been nice to
know about the sentries.

- We gotta get out of here.
- Okay,

let's cause a
tactical distraction.

Scenario 43-A, on my signal!

I don't even know
what that means!

- Of course, you don't.
- Why should I expect you

to memorize the Dragon
Riders tactical play book?

[dragons screeching, roaring]

ALEX: Bet that web's
for Tom and D'Angelo.

At least we'll all die together.

- Stay positive, Alex.
- We're not dead yet. [Sighs]

Think, Jun, think.

Anansi! Do you have
anything to eat your pack?

I don't think now is the
best time for a snack.

- It's not for me!
- In West African folklore,

Anansi is a well-
known spider character

and a trickster!

We're a long way
from West Africa.

- [blasting]
- [dragons roar, shriek]

I can't believe I'm
stuck in here with you.

You think I wanna hang with a guy
who can't even enjoy his life?

- [annoyed growl]
- I used to love my life.

Then you came along
and ruined it!

Your dad's the one ruining it.

- [grunting]
- [Spider wing shrieking]

- You just don't get it, man!
- Why?

'Cause my dad's not around?

I can't possibly understand

a father-son relationship?

You said it! It's not my fault

he took off and left
you and your mom!

- [shriek]
- [both yell]

- [sighs]
- [chittering]

I didn't mean that.

No. I crossed the line.

We both did.

You just don't understand
what it's like to be me, Tom.

My dad's a military man.

He expects me to walk
the straight and narrow,

follow every rule,
no matter how small.

[sighs] And I love him for it.

- You love him for it?
- Yeah.

Then, what's the problem?

Problem is, I also love
being a dragon rider.

But in order to do that,
I got to break every rule,

no matter how big.

That is a conundrum.

Look, you know I got
your six down here.

I need you to follow my lead
and have my back up there.

- Roger that, D.
- Thanks, man.

- [grunts]
- Forgot you're a hugger.

[zap, blast]

[chattering]

[growling]

[roaring]

[snarling]

[fizzling]

- [chattering]
- [both whimper]

[fizzling]

[whirring]

[loud growl]

[blasting]

[zapping]

- [blast]
- [both groan]

D'ANGELO: Did the dragons just figure
out how to combine their powers?

TOM: Yeah.

By working together. Come on.

[chirping]

[squawking]

[chattering]

[chitter]

[chirping]

Yeah. Come on, Spider wing.

Who doesn't love a
good cheesy loop?

[chattering]

[squawk]

I hope you're right about this.

The trickster's being tricked.

[chattering]

Ah!

- [screeching]
- [Tom gasping]

- D, look out!
- [D'Angelo gasps]

Woo-hoo! Yeah!

- [chattering]
- Hit it with everything!

[dragons snarl]

[blast]

[boom]

[zap]

[Jun whimpers, yells]

It worked! You're a genius!

- [both gasp]
- [screeching]

[screech]

TOM: Hold on! We're coming!

JUN: Tom! D'Angelo!

[both panting]

- Are you guys okay?
- Yup. Let's get out of here.

Alright. Let's go!

[chattering]

[shriek]

- We've got to find a back door, girl.
- Lead the way, D.

- D'ANGELO: Move it or lose it!
- [blasting]

[Plowhorn grumbles]

[chattering]

[gasping, grunting]

[heroic music]

Freeze 'em and steam 'em!

[blasting]

[screeching]

Sing 'em to sleep, Feathers!

- [roaring]
- [shrieking]

[yelp]

- Go right!
- I'm thinking left.

Okay, let's go left!

No, no, right sounds right.

- [groans]
- You two can't not fight

even when you're not fighting!

[chattering]

[shrieking]

We can do this if
we do it together!

[blasting]

[boom]

[screech]

[chattering]

[cheering]

That Plowhorn ramming
move was awesome.

It's all about the
teamwork, baby.

I'm glad you guys
finally made up.

Yeah. I couldn't take
much more of the,

"I don't like it
when you do this."

[deep]: "Well, I don't
like it when you do that."

You got to learn from
the best. Aljoon.

Aljoon.

Well, if it wasn't for Thunder,

Plow, Wu and Wei, and Feathers,

none of us would have
made it out of there.

Who would have guessed
that four dragons

would instinctively know
how to work together

better than a couple
of teenage boys?

Borrowed my bolt cutters, huh?

Yeah.

Look, uh, D'Angelo...

I'm sorry for breaking
the rules, Pops,

but you got to
cut me some slack.

I blame Tom more than you.

It's his influence
that's got you...

No! You're wrong about him.

He's my friend, and
he's got my back.

Well, it seems like
you have his back, too.

Yeah. Just like you
always taught me. Rider...

I mean, Ranger Code.

- [laughs]
- You're gonna be alright, D.

But next time you want to borrow

my bolt cutters, you better ask.

- [laughs] Yes, sir.
- [Phil laughs]
