be self-sufficient

Designing my own line and designing

to the design.

it's kind of like this gothy, progressive
directional brand.
And so, when we used that stripe
the other day,
I was like, I know what my version
of the stripe would look like
if I wasn't on collab.
And I was even joking with Tim, I was like,
"She's like the daughter of Beetlejuice."
Or something like
you know, but
that dress is exactly what would go under
one of my jackets.
I loved your outfit today.

I just loved the ease.
And stripes are not easy to wear,
but it worked on that dress.

I'm used to doing a lot
and, like, trying to challenge myself,
so, I wanted to give you guys
the best impression of me.
The woman I was thinking of
was that power woman.
She's looking for ease
but still wants to exude her power,
and that's where the jacket comes in.
Are you happy with it?
I love the concept of it, but in seven hours,
I wanted to, like, see how much
I can get done to show that.

Coming off of last night's critique,
I wanted to challenge myself,
try something new.
I don't do tailored pants, so I made
a high-waisted pencil pant.
Why can't you do pants?
I don't normally cut a pair of pants
traditionally.
I don't think that you should have done
that pant.
This assignment for you was like,
fight for your life, right?
And, like, "this is who I am."
And so, I just don't think that it was
the best choice
to go and try something new.
I actually didn't hate the top.
Like, I thought the top was really beautiful.
But it was like put together
that made it a different decade
but, like, I don't think that
that's the vibe that you were going for.

I was actually really inspired
by the model that I've worked with.
She's very young. She's very spunky.
She is a curvy model.
So, when I thought about a pant,
I did the high-waisted pant
and I did a crop pant, so that it would help
to elongate her legs.

what you've done in the past,
I feel like they're all going to some disco
many, many years ago.
I don't feel like this is now.
Consistently, you are that, like,
party girl, you love lamé.
I really get what you're about.
But I think there is a taste level problem.
You know, the top was very nice.
But it lacks sophistication and refinement.
Will, based on what you showed us today,

How would you change our minds?
Um, the one thing that does ring true
is that you all know that it's me
when it walks down the stairs.
You know that I have an aesthetic.
You know that I have a point of view.
I do have a softness in my hand,
a very technical drape ability

So, there is a luxury level
that I can definitely bring,
and I just need
the next opportunity to show that.
